We stayed at this location for 8 nights and had a lovely stay! The staff were very friendly, welcoming, quick to respond and extremely helpful anytime we needed assistance or asked general questions. The room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities, which was perfect for our lengthy stay. The breakfast was delicious and provided a nice variety of meal
options.

Also the location was great and safe-close to several shopping centers and restaurants.

Mostly this hotel was very good. easy access to metro and buses 50 metres from Paulisha av. The only down fall is the entrance is next to a 45-degree slop so could be a struggle for some.

Everything was great. The only problem was that they were doing some work at the hotel, and it was really loud.
When we checked we were given the chance to choose between two floors, knowing one of them was especially close to the noise. The next day we asked for a different room and problem solved.
Also don't love that one of the windows in the rooms doesn't have glass, only metal shades, so if you are a light sleeper, it can be a problem.

Otherwise the place is very nice and the staff really friendly.

The hotel cancelled our stay and only informed us upon arrival (apparently they messages while we were on the way but we were on our flight and did not have signal). They moved us to the other Mercure nearby without an apology or any offer of compensation or upgrade. The reason we booked this hotel was because of the pool, which the other hotel did not have. We ended up abandoning the booking and stayed elsewhere. Avoid.

Property is a little dated, but fine for what you pay. Good location. Breakfast was decent. There’s only 2 lifts and during the morning rush it can take a while to get down. One morning one of the lifts broke and we couldn’t get in a lift down, every time one arrived it was full, so we ended up having to walk down 13 floors.

The room had stained sheets, not pleasant at all. A weird smell in the room as well.
Room wasn’t ready at check-in time. Staff was rude and not accommodating at all, they certainly do not understand what it means to work in the hospitality industry. Do not recommend this hotel at all. Not at American standards

I don’t know where to start, except to say don’t trust them when they say they will email you closing bill showing all is paid off. You get a bill for your entire stay and more. Then you have to go through hoops proving that you paid all at check out.

Charlatans running this hotel

Prior to our check out, there was a $76Rls balance for out breakfast. I paid cash to the supervisor name “Lrissa” and her front desk employee name “Allen”. This front receptionist absolutely had no customer service experience and there was not a question that would not end in a “Yes”. Our check out was to be at noon of September 6-2021. We wanted to stay until 4:30 pm. I did Not want to deal with them, So, I went to hotels.com and booked an additional full night. When we went downstairs Larissa and Allen asking me I could have just asked them for extension. To which I replied, I did not want to be bothered with lack of their customer service and argue over 4 hours. I even offered them if we need to move from that room to another would be fine as I was not going to ask Hotels.com for refund. I then proceeded to pay $80Rls for the breakfast owed and they had no change and I told them keep the change. Day after we arrived home, we get a bill for a full day of stay (We had already checked out at 4:39 Pm and had prepaid to Hotels.com). These people are charlatan and after 10 years of being a customer of this hotel will never go back. Make sure to get receipt that you paid. They assured me I will receive a check out showing balance zero.

The worst front desk service I have ever experienced, I would strongly advise people not to use this hotel.

When I arrived early in the morning for an early check in I was told that my booking didn't include breakfast, then, searching my papers I noticed that my booking had been split in two, a one-day-stay (without breakfast) followed by a three-day-stay (breakfast included).

I mentioned to the front desk clerk that it was a mistake, and that ebookers would solve it, but she just didn't let me and my family have the breakfast anyway, if we did, we would have to pay extra, as simple as that, no further talk.

I had to get in touch with ebookers in the UK, certainly not in time for breakfast anymore, and they solved the problem giving me an extra bonus for the expense, but the hotel staff showed not empathy at all.

On the last day, I needed a late check out, which is available at the hotel. Again, the staff was completely unhelpful, they just told me it was not possible, and that there were no rooms available.

I had to go online again, access ebookers, and voila, there were plenty of rooms available, so I had to book an extra night not to be left on the street with my family.

In short, the front desk clerk staff was the worst I have ever seen anywhere in the world.

If you can choose, choose not to stay at this hotel.

The breakfast was good, but not great. However there were option for hot and cold food, as well as healthier (yogurt, fruit) as well as more hearty/less healthy options (cake, hot dogs, eggs) served every morning. The room was a decent size, but there was quite a lot of noise that would come from the street. As well, it was not possible to fully close the window, and I got a number of bug bites sleeping there. (There was only one piece of glass in the window. The metal sliding side that met it had holes in it.) Good shower pressure and sufficient hot water. The area was good.

An ideal position for visiting the sights, as the metro was quite close. Although sited in the business district the tourist office was 10minutes walk away, and they were very helpful, and helped us plan our time there. The roof top pool at the hotel was a luxury and provided great views of the city. I would certainly like to stay there again if in the city.

The only slightly irritating thing was how long check in took. I'm no good sure whether the receptionist was being trained or whether that's just how long it takes but we must have stood for about 10 - 15 minutes while they put our details into the system.

Hotel is old with dated interiors and amenities. Its a basic hotel for someone with a quick stop over in the city. Location is good and safe. Not suited for Business traveller. There are other properties from this brand in nearby area which are modern and better equipped.

Nice hotel. If you traveling with a friend or group, it will be difficult to visit them unless you are all on the same floor, which 98% will not happen. So it is either use the stairs to visit them or have them come to the lobby to take you to their room. I stayed on the 15th floor and my friend was on 18th floor and it was very annoying that we could not go visit each other.

Cozy and fits the bill on a hotel stay need

Desk speaks English well and they answered all my questions needed. Only matter you have to be aware is that the outlet voltages in the rooms are 220 volts. You will need a 110 volt converter adaptor.

This hotel is in a great location in Jardins/Paulista area and provides reasonable value. The staff are attentive and the room comfortable, except for the tiny bathrooms! Not sure who did their fit outs, but there is a lot of dead space in the rooms for suitcases and other items, yet they could have made the bathrooms a lot bigger. (I'm not a big guy, yet a slight sideway sit on the toilet was needed!)Breakfast buffet was reasonably good too.

The hotel is located about two blocks from Paulista. If you aren't looking for luxury it's fine. The room and furniture was a bit weathered but in clean condition. The microwave and fridge were quite handy. Breakfast was extensive although not amazing. There were a good number of fresh fruits.

A good not-too-expensive hotel close to ave Paul.

Well, the air-conditioner blows right on the bed and the toilet was wedged too tightly between the sink and the shower and there were no US plugs. But otherwise, it was a very nice, well-appointed hotel very close to the Bookstore/mall and Ave. Paulista. And at a good price, it was rather exceptional. A colleague of mine stays here every time he comes to Sau Paulo.

Fantastic location and very helpful staff.

Breakfast is not very good and definitely not worth the cost (almost 40 BRL, over 10£, even though it says around 20 BRL on the website). Dinner was very good though, very good value for price.

During my 6-night stay, my room was properly cleaned once - every other day the covers were pulled over the bed and bins emptied, but not much more. Coffee / tea were never replaced during the 6 night stay, so I had to call reception every day.

There are signs all over the bathroom regarding a \"green policy\" but even though I left the towels on the rail, they still were replaced every day.

The staff was very kind and helpful.

unfortunately... i picked a premium room and i was not as pleased as i expected. There is PLENTY of room... soo much space, and balconies.. unfortunately the room is very poorly arranged...that huge space is not exploited at all.. the bed is the corner of a L room..sideways which makes it uncomfortable and unpleasant.. right in front of the door... and the bathroom remains as small as any other hotel bath...i don't like to pull up my arms and touch the shower with my elbows... and so so so so much space... that makes you feel bad... there are thousand of ways to take advantage.. just get a good architect and ppl will love it.

There is a pool open top on the roof deck... SOOO lovely... but don't get too excited it closes at 9-10..depending on the stuff..
so be there in the day light..

Room service... i don't know... my experience was strange... but i waited about 45 for a sandwich..( it was midnight..i know.. but it claims 24hr service ) they can have it changed if the staff gets over worked.

IF you look for upgrades ASK FOR THE OTHER SIDE..( i was at 265 ) a made told me it's different..

Very nice hotel. Front desk staff spoke limited English but enoug to converse and answer basic questions. Washcloths are not offered so bring your own but shower gel is offered. 2 packets of instant coffee is available in the room upon check-in but not restocked when used. Good neighborhood, close to Paulista Ave, grocery store and many resturaunts.

This hotel is well situated in Jardins with a nice walk to some great places. The room is ample, the shower facilities more than adequate and the internet is good. The gym is nothing to speak of, so if you are looking for a hotel with a good gym this is not the place! The staff are friendly and helpful, I had a good, productive stay.

Very high-quality property, and only 1.5 blocks from Avenida Paulista, just down the street from MASP, tourist bureau, parks and on the edge of Jardins district, very handy location. Rooms are nicely appointed and housekeeping is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. Close to Paulista and Consolacao metro stations. And if you're into partying, bars and clubs on Rua Augusta are just a few blocks away. Great shopping nearby too. It's a nice hotel in a nice neighbourhood.

If you want to relive a college dorm...

So, this hotel was undergoing rennovations to look like a college dorm. Relatively clean. As far as the hotel staff, the doorman just stands there, don't expect him to get the door for you no matter how full your hands. They'll give you a 50% off coupon for the restaurant...that NEVER opens, that was a nice perk. The screw you, I don't care if the rennovations from 8am to 5pm don't allow to sleep was also a treat! For the amount of money...not worth it. Spend a little more and stay someplace nice, especially if your here on business.

They area is very nice. With the crime level being so high in Brazil, i have to say i had no problems walking around on my own. And the was a visable police presence. The hotel itself is fine. Dtaff are friendly and mostly out of the way. The only issue i had, was that for some bizarre reason the maid would leave the balcont door open after cleaning. And as i could be out of the room for hours at a time i did'nt like this at all. Aside from that small grivence, it was a nice, clean and friendly hotel in a good location.

Very courteous and helpful staff. The hotel is well maintained, although our room had a broken lock on the balcony door. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The wifi worked well, but with just one login per room. The location was very handy to the metro, shopping and the MASP. The neighbourhood appeared to be very nice, with quality supermarkets and food outlets nearby. The kitchenette had microwave, fridge, cutlery and crockery.

Convenient location with small kitchenette

The Mercure Sao Paulo Augusta is located only a couple of blocks from Paulista near Conjunto Nacional right in the center of the old financial district. Pao de Acucar, a small supermarket with slow check-out, stocks a full array of food to use in the kitchenette with its refrigerator and microwave. The Consolacao metro station, only 2 1/2 blocks away, runs down Paulista, past MASP, or, alternatively, connects via an underground walkway to the Amarela line that goes down to Faria Lima and Butanta and will connect soon to Praca da Republica. Service and care by the staff is very good. This hotel provides a comfortable, fairly safe central location that can make Sao Paulo relatively pleasant. (Who wouldn't prefer to be in Ipanema?)

Great location, near Metro (subway), Oscar Freire and MASP. Not so modern but very clean facilities and very nice service.
