Was overall excellent. My shower had some repairs that needed to be fixed but it happened right away. I was a bit disappointed that I was put in an accessible room so the bathroom was not very functional. Was hoping they would move me or upgrade me for a reasonable price but didn’t happen. Still, was very satisfied overall. Thanks.

Although the hotel is pretty, the service and room functionality are not worthy of a 5 star hotel. Despite paying the typical price of a top class hotel, expect a Marriott which is what this hotel is.

The doorman did not meet us to help with our bags when checking in. Our suite (401) faced an extremely busy road and had french doors that wouldn’t stay closed, so our room was very loud. There was no cold water from the taps in the bathroom, it went from hot to Luke warm. Room service forgot items. House keeping didn’t bring back express laundry on time and didn’t provide turn down service one night despite the service room light being on. The suite, their top level room, was literally 2 feet from the elevator.

Our suite was booked through Expedia and was stated to have either 2 twin beds or 1 king. This was not the case and when I requested twin beds several days prior to check in, I was told this was not possible. Michela, the person that I dealt with through multiple emails, was not helpful nor terribly apologetic. I was also not allowed to cancel the reservation. Even though the hotel was aware that the suite was to house 2 people that preferred twin beds, it was not set up with separate bedding or a roll away upon check in. I had to request it myself from the check in staff. The Wellesley clearly doesn’t deserve it’s 5 star rating.

The Best and luxury Hotel in London

I am writing to express my appreciation for the quality of service you offered me and my wife during our stay at the Wellesley Knightsbridge Hotel in London. It was our 1st time here! We had a wonderful one week vacation.
Despite of the many offers we received from other hotels, we decided for your hotel because of the unbeatable deal you offered us.
It was a very good decision; We enjoyed the peace and quiet we needed with luxury, very high quality offered in all the facilities of your gorgeous hotel. This definitely added to the excellent service of the staff in every segment of your hotel.
Every staff member with whom we came in contact was attentive, kind and professional including receptionists, room service staff.
I just wanted to let you know how much we valued that effort, how impressive and gracious and how greatly we appreciate everything that you personally and your staff did for us. Moreover we like the experience for drop off with Rose Rise.
We will definitely recommend your hotel to our friends, colleagues and family, and I’m sure we’ll be back.
We have already decided to return to your hotel for our next vacation.

Highly recommend!

Excellent! Great location close to Buckingham Palace, parks and good shopping. Beautiful room with luxurious finishes. Wonderful staff and service who accommodated a special request and were over the top friendly!
My only very tiny negative observation (but please don’t let this stop you from staying in this superb hotel) is that we were turned away from breakfast one morning as my husband was wearing shorts. I totally understand that this is a high end hotel with high end dining, however turning away shorts (golf shorts mind you, not athletic shorts) seems a bit antiquated particularly when others were seen wearing sweat pants/pajama pants. However the breakfasts were delicious and service top notch so again, do not let this deter you. Overall we were thrilled with our stay in this hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for a little luxury and exemplary service!

Chose the hotel because of its proximity to Hyde Park (went to a concert there). Asked for early check in and got it. The service was top notch. Some highlights: complimentary ironing service (limited) upon check in, a ride to Harrod's in the Rolls Royce, a cell phone for your use for local calls and web use, live jazz in the club The only downside that I can think of is the lingering smell of cigar smoke in the lobby.

Went for day trip to watch Hamilton at Victoria theatre. Great location as hotel is in close proximity. Fabulous lavish extras such as rolls Royce service and Butler service are exceptional benefits for guests. Decor oozed class and elegance of the ages. Will 100% be back for sure.

I didn't advise the Hotel Team it was our 22nd Anniversary. I didn't mention it to the Restaurant Team when I booked dinner in the Jazz Bar Restaurant.
When we arrived for our stay our
whole party and 3 rooms all received an upgrade to celebrate our Anniversary.
My Wife and I had a card from the Manager wishing us well for our Anniversary.

What a great Team what an amazing weekend experience.

Thank you The Wellesley. Our second time of staying and we will stay again.

Don't bother with the breakfast

Booked with breakfast for two for an additional £50 a night. On going down for breakfast the first morning, we were informed that it was a choice of - I kid you not - cereal OR yoghurt OR fruit OR a fry up. The long menu offered to other guests wasn't available. A complaint was made which frankly was ignored - the simple idea of \"choose up to £25 each from the menu\" was too much for the hotel manager to comprehend - Hotels.com refunded our breakfast fee as the agent agreed it was unreasonable to massively restrict AND overcharge in that way. Two lifts in the lobby, but one is supposedly reserved for staff only - but no sign to say so, just abruptly told us off for attempting to us it. 5* Guests? No way. To add insult to injury, the hotel's address doesn't resolve on private hire companies GPS meaning every cab we booked pulled up outside the hotel next door - the doorman snootily referred to our cab booking as a \"Uber\" with a sneer when it was not Uber, and there's no easy way to cross the road to Hyde Park - despite the hotel advertising itself as being right opposite - the 4 lane road with concrete wall central reservation and underpass makes that impossible. For a luxury stay we simply couldn't wait to leave. And then on the train home, I discovered they'd attempted to charge my card on checking in for the full stay - a stay that had been prepaid before we left home.

It was an OK stay for the price paid. No particular wow factor. Also surprised breakfast didn't come included at the price paid for a night. Room with a view also had lots of noise from the road so could barely sleep. But hey! It was just a night. The butler though was great and they make a decent \"old fashioned\" cocktail at the bar

I stayed at the Wellsely for 2 nights, and cannot wait to go back. The staff treat everyone like they have been coming there for years. The complimentary butler and car service (rolls Royce phantom) really make this hotel a steal at this price.

Amazing service from a beautiful hotel

This was just a single night stay but we loved every minute spent here. The service is incredible: once you're checked in everybody knows your name whenever you see them and it's polite yet informal. Rooms are fantastic - first time I've experienced designer complimentary toiletries made by Hermes of Paris! Only thing I would change is to have a bath in the king deluxe room instead of a shower

Breathe in....

A stunningly appointed hotel fairly conveniently located for the de rigeur shopping experience for Mums and daughters - Sloane Street, Brompton Road and Harrods. Lovely cosy bars with great service. Oval restaurant is stunning in every way - ambience, menu, service, wine list and food. It is an as yet undiscovered treasure in the capital. Here's the but......on this occasion, I used a booking agency to book the room and it resulted in me residing in the smallest room I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world - literally! It was clean and the bed was comfortable, but I could not have stayed in a room this size for more than 1 night. It is a real disappointment that a hotel that is so fine otherwise, could consider this a satisfactory size for a guest room - even in London. I had a strict deadline to meet so had no time to request to change.
The hotel's Rolls Royce will take you on a one way journey anywhere up to 1.5 miles. It is NOT pre-bookable....yes you guessed, when I wanted it, someone had asked for first refusal at the same time as I came down to ask for it! So it IS bookable. However, the car when watched did not appear to move at all, and no one got in to it!! A little more openness is required here.
Hence, I would definitely go out of my way to eat here, I would pop in for a drink, but I wouldn't stay again. There are three and soon again to be four, significant and realistic other properties for the activities in this area.

Needed to upgrade to a junior suite to get a tub. The charge for the upgrade was \"rack rate\" minus our discounted rate, an extra 400 pounds per night, more than you could book a junior suite for on any of the on-line services. Other than that, the hotel is comfortable and well appointed, right next to Hyde Park Corner.

My husband and I travel fairly often and stay in five star hotels throughout the world. The Wellesley Hotel has ranked in the top 3 for us... and not certain which one is first second or third. The service- EXCEPTIONAL, the rooms-VERY WELL APPOINTED, the location- FANTASTIC on Hyde Park corner. The level of details is unparalleled- from the heated bathroom floors, integrated bidet toilets, superb quality stationary, tablets in the rooms, to in-room check-in. I could keep going. Jim, the concierge is a gem. James, the bellman, Isabelle, and Edwin- the Rolls driver. Yes, a Rolls Royce was an unexpected perk- for drop off to a nearby destination. We were truly pampered and made to feel like family, despite being first time guests. There are other great hotels in London, but this one is more than a hotel.... its an experience.

Fit for a Queen!

This gem of a hotel was once the Hyde Park Tube! With under 50 rooms you are treated like a house guest instead of a hotel guest! This lovely Art Deco, old Hollywood style Hotel is first class from the Doormen to the Housekeeping Staff - you are treated like royalty. They even offer their Rolls Royce to guests based on availability! No other hotel in London offers this, I must add!!

A luxurious bed (we wanted to take home) a huge television, and a bottle of water every evening are just a few of their luxurious perks!
Close to Harvey Nickles and Harod's - you are in retail heaven! I recommend breakfast there - at least one morning - best bakery basket ever!!
Finally, yes, we will return. Enjoy your stay!!

Impeccable Hotel in terrific location of London.

The hotel provided fantastic service. As a woman traveling alone, the hotel exercised exceptional security. Each guest room comes with its own butler and is wonderfully stylish and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. Brilliant - and would stay here again!
