This is definitely not a 5* hotel.
The service is very bad. Rude receptioniste nobody answer switchboard call. Broken items in room. Food in room service bad quality. Ordered a ribeye rare came well done bearnaise was horrible.
Really worst christmast hotel stay ever. Won t stay again

Terrible experience

We booked the Mayfair Executive Suite and they only gave us the Mayfair Suite. We asked for high floor away from the elevator and they gave us low floor right next to the elevator. The suite was dirty and dusty inside. The suite bedroom had hooks to hold both heavy swinging doors that don’t stay open and slams shut every time with any movement a dangerous hazard for young children and elderly. These swinging doors are for commercial use and have no place in a suite hotel. The shower leaked. The iron in the room was a fire hazard with all the teflon peeled off and burned a hole in my clothing. We called to speak to the manager everyday for 5 days in a row and they never responded always saying someone will get back to you and every time we ask they pretended they did not know what the problem was and then said the iron was in good condition and working and blamed us for using it without water and not looking at the clothing label. They continued to lie and never answered our requests to resolve the problem. They have terrible customer service. If someone is asking to speak to the manager the problem should be responded to and answered not ignored. The hotel is crowded with lots of business guests and conferences a very busy environment in the common areas and hallways. The air smells in the entire hotel and there is no circulation. They should not be classified as a 5 star hotel. At best this is a 3 star hotel. There are other 5 star hotels that are superior to this place.

There was a broken mirror left in the bathroom which was a real issue and as the bathroom is very small it caused a huge obstruction, i did ask reception to move it but this was not done.. the room was good and hotel was immaculate.

We had booked a room for a special weekend getaway to go to BST Hyde park and Andrea Bocelli concert. We arrived around 1:30 pm the lady at the reception told us our room is not ready. So, we went to the hotel restaurant to have lunch. Went back at 3 pm and still room is not ready! There are people queuing at reception and ut is quite chaotic! It was unbelievable that they couldn't prepare rooms on time! After talking to the dutyt manager he finally gave us a room. I had booked this hotel hoping to have a hyde park view, instead the room had an ugly view to the back of the hotel towrds a part of London there is nothing interesting in it! The room had a balcony but the door was locked a d you couldn't get in there. Also, there was stinking smell of smoke in the room. We didn’t have time and were too tired to go and ask for another room and had to change quickly to go to the concert. Overall, the only thing I liked about the hotel was the food and the staff in the restaurant. However, I doubt if I stay here again.

Good service and comfortable rooms

We wanted a central London hotel and had previously stayed here on a regular basis but had not been for several years due to family but well worth visiting again.
The refurbishment has been a good improvement for the rooms and looking forward to coming back once all upgrades are completed.
Staff were really friendly and helpful to make the stay an enjoyable one.

There were a couple problems with my bathroom that didn’t get resolved in a timely fashion. These prevented me from showering after 17 hours of overnight travel. While the staff was very friendly and highly professional, there was a lack of follow up to make sure my issues were dealt with. In many ways this is a great hotel, but it just doesn’t have the level of service and quality commensurate with its cost. The manager gave me some consideration for my issues, but without seeming to understand how these fundamental functions of a living space can greatly undermine the usefulness and enjoyment of the stay.

A lovely hotel, and l had a lovely view of Hyde Park from the 16th floor. Two minor caveats: the shower drained too slowly, and everyone at reception spoke so softly that they were unintelligible. None of us could understand them, and only two of us are hard of hearing!

Problems at check-in because of “the new system.” The room stank of sewer gases. As Diamond status Hilton Honors guests they overlooked sending any welcome gift. They did AFTER I mentioned it but that isn’t really right. No housekeeping in either of our rooms day 2 (they just forgot our floor). I’ve been coming here for decades but now I see it’s time to find a new place to stay.

Cannot believe this claims to be a 5-star hotel. Not even close. Everything is dated and was never luxury 5 star quality even when new. Bed, furniture, bath fixtures, etc. this maybe was a 4 star hotel once, now it’s 2-3 stars at best. You cannot even begin to compare this to other top hotels. Doesn’t hold a candle to them.

The worst experience traveling in my life. The staff we rude and negligent as well as arrogant. Not welcoming at all. They did not have a room ready upon check in, failed to provide us updates on when we could check in. Waited 2.5 hours for a room. Curtains broken in room, black mold on shower and in bathroom. Lights in bathroom leaked and dripped right on top of you when using toilet. I hated everything about this hotel. Never again.

Avoid this hotel if you can. Although the staff are friendly and the service is good, the property itself is not. Rooms are shabby, the furniture is old, the carpets are stained, the bathrooms are dated, and the entire hotel appears not to have been renovated since the 1980s. The location is of course excellent, but there are many newer and better options in the area.

So many misses that I don't even know where to start. Most of the staff was lazy and useless and service was typically WAY off. Multiple things went wrong and the sad attempts that were made to remedy the situation was beyond laughable. I will def. NEVER stay here again and recommend that others don't as well.

From reception, to room service, and the restaurant team - every interaction was professional yet friendly and with some sense of humour.

The young woman at the Trader Vics desk on 02/07/2022 was so warm and welcoming. Lovely bubbly personality.

I will say that sadly some of your customers are extremely rude to the staff and this is so very upsetting to witness. I know that this time of year they are your bread and butter, however I hope that some of them may read this and realise that a “please” and a “thank you” goes a long way!

Thank you for a wonderful stay - it made our Adele experience the best it could be!

Location and height are the reason to stay

The Hilton on Park Lane is a hotel I've always been curious to stay at, and it was better than anticipated.
Glass of champagne on arrival (surprisingly considering how many Arabs stay there, they were flummoxed by my husband wanting a non-alcoholic drink).
Mix up with the room we were allocated but this was resolved relatively easily once we'd been to the room, gone back to reception, a supervisor had been called, new room allocated...
The location and height are the beauties of this hotel. Right on Park Lane and the highest building around so you get great views. We overlooked Hyde Park and the Hyde Park Corner end of Park Lane, and miles further. We could see as far as the Crystal Palace Transmitting Station from our room.
We tried the bar on the 28th floor which wasn't overly friendly and very expensive but we're glad we tried it.
Breakfast is a heaving, frantic, unrelaxing and not very luxurious experience. It's like breakfast in a really busy Premier Inn but waaayyy more expensive.
Americans get priority and the waiting staff fawn over them. I'm guessing their $$$ are worth more than our £££. Both mornings the staff tried to seat us in lounge chairs next to small, low occasional tables and both mornings we said no. It was a huge problem for the staff to find us a table at a proper height to eat breakfast from.
We had to request items missing when they serviced our room 3 times in one day.

The hotel was great, comfortable beds and very good staff from the room maid to the front desk and the security guys. My only problem was that my Visa card was not accepted on arrival ( an Australian card) and the overall cost was somewhat high but probably not so for London. Overall a very good place to stay.

No room ready. Allowed previous people to check out late. Blamed us because we wanted a twin room and feather free bedding. Gave us 2 complimentary glasses of champagne,
We already got free champagne in the executive lounge. So, got nothing.
Shower fan didn’t work, steam set off alarm somewhere, phone calls, security banging on the door, even after we informed them of the situation.
Next night, got a call at 10.30pm asking why we hadn’t checked out? Telling us we had to leave, even though our reservation had another cpl nights. Even confirmed our names to try and ask us to check out. Complained at the front desk in the morning. I will find out why and let you know he said. Of course he never got back to us.
Breakfast was crazy, don’t think the staff could cope at all, bless them they were trying hard. Taking drinks/food to the wrong tables. So disorganized.
Had a super nice server on our last night in the restaurant though. Wish I could remember her name. She was fantastic.

Queen Room is very cosy, but quaint. Would opt for a King Room in future.

It was a perfectly adequate room, though I found the furnishing quite bizarre as the main mirror was totally obscured by a TV that was entirely too large for the small room. Fridge made intermittent banging noise throughout the night and there is little to no privacy re noise between adjoining rooms.
