We had to change rooms because we were given a handicap room and it was at the end of a busy sidewalk. Everyone coming out of the main building walked up to our first floor balcony and looked into our room. We could t open our curtains. They moved us the next day and the room was great.

- The hotel itself is beautiful! So happy to be able to stay here
-We had good French onion soup at the main building restaurant
-The pool area is open late, we used every night.

Cons:
-The room service French fries we counted 18 fries on the plate, not a good deal for 18 fries…
-The hot tub jets aren’t real jets and splash in your eyes
-We don’t carry cash, and when we got room service like towels brought or something to the room we couldn’t tip since there was no service receipt where we could charge it to the room

Our stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and truly world-class. The resort itself is stunning—elegant Victorian architecture, immaculate grounds, and beautiful views that make you feel like you’ve stepped into something special.

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, and the transportation options (especially the monorail and boat) made getting to the parks effortless.

Such an incredible stay. Check-in was quick and easy, received early check-in by 1pm without requesting it, location in the Boca Chica building overlooking the pool was amazing. Rooms have been impeccably renovated since our last stay. Nothing was overlooked in the redesign of the rooms. Cannot wait to return!

I gave it a two because it’s located right across from the magic kingdom so it’s convenient. The hotel is a beautiful hotel however, the noise level in the hallways is out of control. You will not and cannot sleep. We had drunk people from a party in the lobby for hours after midnight and security never showed up. Not one holiday decoration up this year.

I have stayed at most of the Disney resort hotels over the last several years, and this is definitely one of my favorites! The staff, rooms, grounds, and amenities were all top shelf. The resort’s proximity to Magic Kingdom and access to the monorail system were also bonuses. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Conch Key and it seemed like this location might have been a little more ignored than others. They were very accommodating with getting the types of rooms we need to be adjoining and have very welcoming safe at the front door. Other than one other waitress this seemed to be the only area they focused on there customers satisfaction. We had multiple appliances that were broken (coffee machine and blow drier). The laundry facilities were very dirty. Out of all of our food we had the food at the cafe and mobile order was the worst in comparison to all the wonder restaurants the parks offered. Overall we were pretty disappointed since other resorts had more reliable transportation. Our buses took three times as long. The only highlight is the view of the fireworks every night but I can imagine that is possible to see from other resorts as well. We’re pretty disappointed when everything else in the parks and other resorts “wowed” us.

Beautiful property. Peaceful and easy access to the Magic Kingdom by monorail, boat and walking. Great bar on the second floor for adult time. Citricos was fantastic. Asked for a delayed check out and was pleasantly greeted with a sure we'd be happy to. Only one negative was a beeping sound each morning of vehicles backing in and out. Additionally all the people in the yellow vests working on various projects were not personable. I am assuming they weren't Disney employed. Otherwise, all was fantastic and would return back.

GF has several buildings w/rooms. The atmosphere in the main building was amazing. They were doing construction but let us know weeks before our trip. The tram to the parks was so convenient. The only negative, in true Disney fashion EVERYTHING is expensive! Don’t forget a mask (you only need it for the tram) because you will pay $45 for 3. That being said my daughter and her friends had an amazing time and that’s what makes it all worth it.

The Grand Floridian is refreshingly quiet after a busy day at the parks. The park-like property offers many options to stroll and relax after a long day. The restaurants were nice however, like everything at Disney, have to be scheduled ahead of time. The convenience of the monorail is also a plus for starting your day early.

From the front desk to the restaurants, gift shops and monorail staff, everyone was more than happy to help. Even the outside maintenance staff helped with directions. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The only negatives were the beds were never changed. Every thing else in the room was cleaned and spotless. Now true disclosure, I don't do our own beds every day either, but I would have expected that service in an upscale property. On the lobby-level there is a great looking restaurant that was reservation only. That's fine, but upon approaching the host at the restaurant podium, the host told us she can not make any reservations ( then who else can? the pool Life Guard? ) and that reservations can be made online through their app. When I questioned that, I was told the front desk can do that for me. The front desk was more than happy to do that for us.

Reliving our visit

It had been about 12 years since we stayed at the GF. We loved our stay and only wished it was longer. Our room was super clean as well as the rest of the property. We ate at Gasparillo's and not impressed with the food. It was much better when we were there 12 years ago. The front desk employee, Penny, was wonderful and so were the two bell hop employees, AJ and Jerry. We would love to stay there again but it is way too expensive.

Hotel rooms are very old look a very cheap hotels. Service is very bad . I arrive at night and 2 attend at reception was helping around 8 guess , it took more 1 hr for check in with kids afther a travel … hotel like that at list has to be fast and friendly . Next day they not clean my both Rooms . I hope they get better, because this hotel was a dream for all people. From outside build is beautiful , but inside rooms are terrible. Breakfest was terrible , they are no options of health food , to eat you must be fat or pretend to be.. sorry but they need work hard to get better before disappear.

It is a lovely resort but services were so disappointing. Only two restaurants were open. It was your problem to get food. xmas morning it took 3 hours to get room service breakfast, although they said it would take 75 minutes. Rooms were filthy because no housekeeping - beds not made, bathrooms not cleaned; disgusting. very disappointing. staff who were working were pleasant and hard working.

Stay at the Polynesian, it is much nicer

The setting is nice, but the maintenance is not what it should be for the price they charge. The grout in the bathtub area was stained. They did clean it (some) when my wife complained.
Our original request for late checkout was denied, but a second request got a little extra time before we had to leave.
The staff themselves are very friendly and helpful, but next visit we will stay at the Polynesian.

Great location near Magic Kingdom, Contemporary and Polynesia. Love the common areas and restaurants. Smells amazing and most of the resort in general feels like a fantastic getaway.

Was disappointed in the quality of the room - for the price I would expect something nearer to a 4-5 star resort but room and bathroom quality and size was approximately the Holiday Inn. Most of the staff was great but unfortunately the one interaction that sticks with you is when you meet someone rude and not helpful.

I went with my 3 year old and at times she was crying of hunger, there was no place to eat in peace.
The dining accommodations are overbooked and unaccommodating.

I am a long time guest of the Grand Floridian (at least 15 years) and I have to say I was so disappointed and disgusted by the service this trip. They have completely lost my business.

I pay $800 a night for top service and that’s the opposite of what I received. Here are a few of the things that happened:

- I hurt myself and called for ice and bandaids and instead of bringing this to my room, they asked me limp downstairs with my massively swollen ankle to get it for myself.

- I called downstairs for water and they refused to bring it up so I was left to buy water bottles in the park and carry them to my room. If I didn’t do this, I wouldn’t have had water all night as they wouldn’t even answer the guest services number sometimes.

- The plugs in the room didn’t work and neither did the coffee machine.

- There was hair from the last person who stayed in the room on the hair dryer.

- There was no room service when I needed it. We came home from the park in the afternoon to eat before going back and all room service was closed until 5PM so we had nowhere to eat.

I am disgusted by this place. In one trip, they took what was one of my favorite hotels and replaced every memory with this horrible stay. Don’t stay here - your money is better spent at the Four Seasons or any of the Universal properties.

This property is an excellent location for proximity to the Magic Kingdom. There is a walking path, monorail and water taxi service. Transportation to other parks is decent (Monorail to epcot with transfers) (buses everywhere else).There are three pools and and multiple restaurants which offer anything from quick service to luxurious sit down dining. The grounds are extremely well kept and stunning. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Noise was an issue at times depending on which building you stay at. Service and delivery trucks run to and from this resort 24/7.

I was worried thinking the kids wouldn’t think it was Disney enough but they loved it! It was also a nice retreat away from Disney overload. We had a great view of the Electric Parade at night on the lagoon. The boats and monorail to the parks were right there along with the bus shuttles . The rooms were perfect. The hotel is decorated in a 1920's theme, luxurious, sophisticated, beautiful, so many activities, restaurants, shuttles to the parks, pools for kids and adults. I fell in love with the Grand Floridian and has become the hotel I will stay when in Orlando. I will be returning soon.

Very disappointed ! There was nothing magical about this service. Unplanned we went a day early, the resort was already sold out so we stayed at the Jw Marriot. When we arrived at the Grand Floridian we wanted to return to the JW Marriot immediately! Service was horrible - the interior of the building where the rooms are were as if someone threw old furniture in a storage facility- my bathroom wall had mildew and hair on it from the previous guest. One evening we needed extra towels and we were told to look in the baskets on the floor in the hallways, which was not individual to room it was community. The rooms are extremely outdated, we felt like we were staying at a days inn but only for $700/night not $55. I was extremely excited for the seamless check in process with the Disney app as you no longer have to go to the lobby you can go straight to the room and unlock the door, however we had difficulty purchasing items and returning to and from property as staff would ask for room key - when we never received one as we used the app. So make sure to skip the app or get a magic band. Overall I was expecting a magical experience and was extremely disappointed that for $3,000 the bathroom door handle was broken , half the outlets in the room didn’t work and when I called room service asking for sodas to be delivered for my kids they told me to go to the gift shop. I would never return nor would I recommend this hotel. Beautiful property horrible rooms and service.

The main areas are really wonderful. Restaurants were also very good - particularly Narcoossee's. The rooms are feeling a bit tired and in need of a stylistic refresh. They're well maintained, but dated. The staff was average - which was surprising for Disney. A little too over-zealous (approaching rude) in their reminders about wearing masks. Overall, still a magical, albeit overpriced, place to stay.

Very pretty resort, but room was subpar and needs remodeling, something leaked onto my clothes in the closet from the ceiling, no housekeeping service other than towels and trash removal. Almost no options for food- everything was booked. Room service is not 24 hours, limited hours. Service for food and drinks at the pool was incredibly slow- not staffed properly. Best part is access to monorail, but the price is way too high for the low end accommodations. Pool is just ok, nothing spectacular. Overall very disappointing. This is not even close to a 5 star resort.

I was disappointed that counting the parking fees and taxes that I paid $601.80 PER night for a regular room for 2 people and the hotel did NOT make the bed or empty the trash one time during the 3 days that we were there. Do not expect any amenities either such as turn down service, water bottles, or even glasses of ice water in the lobby after a hot day at Epcot, or any amenities except a coffee maker in the room. This is DEFINITELY not the Ritz Carlton.

Due to covid they are NOT CHANGING YOUR SHEETS OR CLEANING THE ROOM every day. But when I did the reservation they didn’t mentioned it. You can ask for new sheets and change them if you want to. If not they will so it in your 5day stay day. But they still charging normal fare. We couldn’t have breakfast at the restaurant cafe any day because it was fully booked. You need to reserve at least 60 days in advance. The mini beach pool is closed. Didn’t mentioned it either. Room service it will leave you the food at your door but wont come inside the room to put the table. You have to do everything. They wont come to pick up your mess either. For a 1k a night I would've expect much more.

The only caveat I’d provide is that property could use a little refurbishment, namely the interior carpeting and bathrooms. I believe I heard this is planned.

CLASSY & GRAND...the Rooms are Not Newly Renovated but Sooo Charming! Loved it! The Resort is a MUST TRY!!! Best HAPPY People Everywhere, Front Desk, Concierge, Restaurants....just Amazing, Warm Welcome!!! Ff you choose \"Park View\", don't expect too much, you can only see the Top of the Magic Kingdom Castle from Far, Far Away, and NO FIREWORKS due to COVID. I suggest you get a Room in the MAIN Bldg with Pool View. So Great!!!

EVERYTHING took so long to get anything done. Transportation from the parks took at least almost an hour for the shuttle (we finally had to call the front desk) if you had a question at the front desk, be prepared to wait for an answer, at least 30 min. Using COVID as an excuse for everything. Staff were not friendly. Cost us $550 a night and not ONE staff members asked us how we are doing. Gaylord would have been a better pick. Had high hopes for this resort and just came down as very disappointing! And when I say everything took forever, I MEAN EVEEYTHING! (Check in, restaurants, shuttles, boat taxi, pool food, ransom questions at the front desk) oh and not to mention a big roach crawling right on the lobby and the staff picks it up and laughs about it. Stay at Motel 6, you’ll have better service!
