It is very family friendly. If you have kids perfect place. If you do not want to be in close proximity to a lot of children then may not be for you, I didn’t have children but still enjoyed my stay and would still recommend.

The refurbishment of the room was really nice & it was clean. However the drapes are not blackout. They are short at the bottom and gapped at the top. If you are facing the parking lot prepare for that 7AM sunshine to come right on in. After the late til midnight parade and my son waking up with the sun… I needed to be laid to rest at The Haunted Mansion. Also NO WATERS! No complementary waters, just a vending machine outside with a SmartWater for $6.50! Less for a Dasani but ew. Didn’t like the smell of the body wash either but that’s whatever.

Very cute hotel with comfortable beds and great pillows. Used the free transportation to the parks. I stayed one night and loved the free parking. New Orleans themed hotel with deliciuos beignets. Would stay there again and would recommend to friends too.

My son and I enjoyed our stay at the French Quarter. The room was well decorated and very clean. The staff was so kind and helpful! We loved the heated pool and the boat access to Disney Springs.

Love the location and great area to stay on your Disney World vacation. Not a big resort which means closer rooms to food court and pool. The bus transportation to the park is great. Enjoyed boat ride to Disney Springs.

Like all Disney properties Port Orleans was clean and the rooms were nice albeit a tad dated. The staff was great and I love the convenience of staying on property and having transportation. I've never been disappointed staying on any Disney property!

We had a wonderful stay at Disney port Orleans french quarter. We picked it specifically because it’s the smallest out of the moderate price range of Disney hotels and it was quite easy to get the shuttles to and fro to Disney’s parks. We stayed in Building 4 which was an extremely short walk to the busses and to the main reception. Even though we had the least expensive of rooms available it still had little touches of Princess and the frog. The room was also ready at 9am like we requested, which we were very grateful for the early check in after getting off a long flight. The check in and out is also super easy through the app and loved the time saving. The Mickey beignets from Scat Cats are a must. We also enjoyed a delicious meal at the nearby Port Orleans Riverside boatwrights, it’s just a 10 min walk away by the lovely river side. All in all a great stay!

Had a few hiccups during our stay but Chris the manager made sure we had a magical stay!!! Only complaint is that the beds were never made they came and emptied garbage and replaced towels but that was it. I’m assuming due to Covid or understaffing. Overall this is a great resort one of the smaller ones at Disney. Everything is close by not far away and spread out like the others. Staff here was wonderful!

A wonderful trip

The staff are all super friendly. We enjoyed using both this and the sister hotel. We loved using the boat to get about too. The only downside of the whole time was the low-quality, narrow choice of food options. A good idea would be to have completely different menus in Riverside and French Q. Or perhaps to have changing menus for variety. Everything else was superb. Lovely size and style.

These properties often have no coffee maker, but this one did. No microwave however. Disney food court prices are often outrageous, but seemed fairly comparable this trip. The buttermilk chicken was particularly good. We stayed a week and they only came in once to clean orc empty the trash.

Loved this resort! Everything was perfect. The food at the quick service area was so good! If you plan on staying there for longer than 2 days you will have to ask the front desk for new sheets they will only take out your trash and give you new towels every other day.

Not a good stay

This was my first time staying in Disney property and my expectations were high from what I’ve heard in the past but it was not what I expected. First, they don’t clean everyday. We requested additional cleaning and when we got to the hotel at 11pm it was not cleaned. Then, cleaning crew came almost at midnight saying they were going to clean and I was putting my kids to sleep. We requested service again and all they did was bring new towels. The beds were super uncomfortable and the room is not updated at all. We can barely get the soap out of the container because it was glued to the wall. We asked for extra blankets and then when they service the room they took them and never brought them back. The restaurant area some of the people serving the food were extremely rude. I wouldn’t stay here again. I also, mentioned it to the manager and he didn’t seem to care.

We had an excellent room. We had a view of pool and river due to being a corner room. It was close to elevator. Soda machines on every other floor.
Rooms were clean and updated. Ceiling fan was a plus since all places keep you from really controlling the air. 69 is usually as low as you can get it - if that is the real temp after. I like a cold room when I sleep. Parking and buses were a short walk. Bldg 5

Very clean the only issue is that thy don’t clean and bring towels or make the bed in your room had to call to get clean towels I guess that’s there new policy which I don’t agree with and didn’t expect from a Disney hotel

Amazing stay overall!!! Loved this Disney resort and had a great time with my family!
Only small negative is why does a Disney resort not have better coffee options? No flavored creamer anywhere, no Starbucks coffee drinks in the store to purchase... just seemed weird and a little frustrating! Sometimes you want something other than a regular coffee, plain creamer and sugar...it is the year 2022 and you should be able to get a coffee drink of your choice while on vacation and at a Disney resort especially!

Delightful stay at Disney’s Port Orleans resort!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The rooms have recently been refurbished and feel bright, fresh and clean. This is a smaller resort so it feels intimate and relaxed; however, the pool area and hot tub were both very busy, which is the one drawback with this hotel. Another fab bonus is the Mickey shaped beignets. Yummy!

port orleans french quarter was nice!

stayed here for valentine’s day in february 2022 and it was great! the food was the best part, so yummy! it was too cold to experience the pools, but they looked very fun! great transportation to the parks! we were able to take the bus to and from epcot and it was very convenient :) french quarter is beautiful, though we did walk to riverside which seemed like it had a little more to do! overall it was great though!

Impromptu Disney Stay made for fun

We were planning to be in Orlando but when our flight cancelled out of Ft. Myers FLA and we needed the next available on our airline we drove to Orlando to take advantage of Disney Properties for our kids sake. You can't beat the atmosphere and the pool time/arcade fun you can have with travel weary kids. We even went to Disney Springs and Dinner at a nearby popular restaurant (california grill) and caught the fire works view of the castle..all on a day where Disney passes were sold out.

Property is spotless, landscaping is gorgeous, parking is close by, fountains, amenities, and food all top notch. Breakfast isn’t the best but lunch dinner options were really good. Port Orleans French Quarter is a convenient location for those visiting Disney parks and using Disney's bus service. The resort is compact compared to other Disney resorts in the area and walkable, which can be a boon after a long day at the parks! The bus service was reliable and there was plenty of room to sit going to and returning from the parks.

The resort has a well-stocked gift shop on site as well as two dining options. Sassagoula Floatworks offers a variety of food options, including food themed to the resort (gumbo, jambalaya and beignets); the beignets are a must-eat!

The rooms themselves were fairly spacious, with the exception of the small bathrooms. Disney has reduced housekeeping services during the pandemic, so you will need to make a request for daily housekeeping if desired.

Overall, the resort is convenient for those wishing to spend most of the day at Disney parks and picturesque. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Property was on the bus line to get to the different properties; most took over 1/2 hr to get to which is something to consider. Little food choices on property but you can take a 20 minute boat ride for a variety of choices. Rooms were on the small side and needing updated. The cost was better than most midrange properties.

This is the third time I've stayed at this property. The first time was the best and it's gone down every visit since.
Our reservation was not entered into their system properly. I don't know if this was an issue with Orbitz/Expedia or the resort. It was difficult to say the least to check in.
The room was on a corner--I suspect it was a bargain room since it was right by the stairwell and super loud. We could hear people talking outside so clearly they sounded like they were in our room. Rolling luggage literally sounded like an airplane taking off--unbelievably loud.
I will not book through Orbitz for a Disney Property again. I feel like because we had a discounted room we had a bad experience.
The room was clean and in good condition. If you are a sound sleeper then go for it. The property itself is nice and quaint. Obviously we like it there since we've gone back 3 times, but this will be our last time there. I need my sleep.

Very peaceful for Disney

Loved it! We hardly interacted with anyone because of the pre arrival check-in, but the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful when there was a little issue with my magic band. The room was really comfortable and very clean. We sat at the pool one day and there were games and craft activities for kids. The hotel feels spread out so you don't see tons of people. It felt secluded and peaceful.

This property was ok for the comparative money. It seemed to be very noisy as we heard the conversation next door through the adjoining door and wall, bathroom noises next door and upstairs, and any conversation or wheel roll from the outside. My husband once accidentally referred to it as "the dorm". That is what is seemed but we didn't need to be in our rooms long.
The staff couldn't seem to refill our coffee replacements equally with coffee and cups but they were happy to fill any shortage.
The river boat transportation was lovely to the other French Quarter hotel and Disney Springs.

Port Orleans - French Quarter is one of the smaller Disney resorts which makes it much more walkable. The rooms are typical Disney with just the right touch of theming. A real plus is the pool with its kid friendly water slide and splash pad. It was our favorite resort when our kids were small and now we’ve enjoyed it with a grandchild as well. Still our favorite!
