Room was small, but clean and comfortable. The check in was a mess of \"self serve\" machines - that is anti-service. even though there is a machine, it took two different people to get me through check in. So many people need help checking in, and no on enjoys that process, why not just give us a real human to begin with? You have great staff, why force your customers into screens? My room was outside, in a separate building.

Excellent location, slightly noisy next to the train track(didn't really bother me but something to note) rooms are cleaned every 3rd day. Compare to other hotel of the same chain the room might be slightly more space limited. Did not get breakfast from the hotel but the restaurant attached are real restaurant so I'd assume food is ok.

The room is a good size for two people. The staff try their best to help with whatever your needs happen to be. You get a variety of options for breakfast from traditional Japanese cuisine to American style meals. There are lots of shops need by from restaurants to shopping. Lots to see and do around the area.

The lobby is on the second floor. We got the room with two beds because I’m a hot sleeper & I like my space & the beds here are smaller than the US. There’s a family mart on floor one so in the morning I would run down & grab an onigiri & chicken cutlet. It was a great location close to two subway stations. As well as a food hall street

A great location, very close to Shimbashi Station. Rooms are the typical size for a Japanese business hotel and were very clean. I was compelled to leave a review, because even by Japan's standards (where I can't think of any hotel where I've received poor service), the customer service was amazing.

I can get by with Japanese if it's just checking into a hotel, but there were staff on hand that spoke English and they had a sign at the front showing the variety of other languages that they could help you in. I arrived a couple hours before check-in and my room wasn't ready yet, but they held my suitcase for me and when I returned later that evening, everything was ready to go for my check-in and they offered to help me at the desk, even though there's multilingual self check-in machines (which I would've been happy to use). Check-in was a breeze and my suitcase was already in my room for me.

The only thing that’s good is the location of the hotel is very good. Walking to subway is 2 minutes. They give breakfast but the 2 restaurants that you can use the vouchers are both horrible. The first restaurant which is the Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel itself, it’s very dirty. The floor is so sticky and you smell washroom smell the whole time. There’s only 1 staff and only if the door bell ring will he come out to serve you. Service is very minimal. The other restaurant serving western breakfast is even worst no service at all; cause they simply don’t acknowledge you came in and wouldn’t even come to answer your question or serve you. We failed to used our voucher there as we stand at the desk the staff saw us but wouldn’t even came to serve or speak to us. We ended up have to go to family mart, good thing family mart can use the vouchers too. Overall the hotel room smell the washroom smell, not so pleasant.

This is the third Sotetsu hotel we've stayed at and the most disappointing. Despite booking a non smoking room we were assigned a smoking room or what we suspect is a repurposed smoking to non smoking room. This really dampened our experience, we arrived tired and hungry so didn't fully realize the extent until we arrived back in the room the next day. All interaction is with a machine. The staff are friendly but don't fully listen to any request and just point you to the machine. The room itself is standard, a bit run down. They were renovating one of the floors. Our room faced the train tracks which you could hear during operating hrs. The aircon unit leaked liquid and unfortunately our clothes were below it. We had breakfast which was at the ootoya restaurant next to reception, this included a standard Japanese set which typically had grilled fish. We wouldn't stay here again due to our experience however Shimbashi is a great place to base yourself.

My review on this hotel might be rigged but I’ll try to be as objective as possible. The hotel staff is super nice, the check in and out was very easy, but for some reason we were booked for a smokers room. Which we’re not. This really tainted the stay for us. We room reeked of tobacco, which is understandable, but it made everything feel a little dirty. The shower walls were stained with nicotine, the bed smelled of tobacco… We also didn’t complain as we would only be staying for two nights, but the smell truly was unbearable. I checked the reservation and didn’t find a reason as to why we were located in that type of room, as we didn’t request it. All this to say, it is a good, cheap stay, just make sure to get a non-smokers room if you don’t smoke. I still wouldn’t rule it out, I just learned my lesson about smokers rooms!

Great location and walkable to lots of restaurants and stores. Staff was very helpful and used translators to communicate with us. Convenient locks to store luggage after check-out. All the amenities are displayed and available at the check-in area, as well as by the elevators in the building across the way (the one that we stayed at). Very happy that there was a hot water maker and a full tub (they had bath salts available... so relaxing before going to bed!). We upgraded to a bigger room because the basic room is very small. Great price for what you get. Would stay here again!

Basic hotel and room compared to others which I stayed in Japan. Hotel was chosen due to its proximity to the train station as I needed to catch an early train to the airport so for that it served its purpose. Breakfast options weren’t great but was able to use the voucher in the Lawson store downstairs which was super handy.

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Shimbashi is located within walking distance of the Dai Ichi Hotel which the airport limousine stops at, making it extremely convenient to get there from Narita Airport. Furthermore, it is located within walking distance of many good choices for food, such as MacDonald's, Ichiran and more. There is a family mart located conveniently on the first floor. It is walking distance from the Shimbashi station which is on the Yamanote Line, making it easy to get to places like Akihabara and Shibuya.
Most importantly, the staff are extremely friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand, especially Miss S. Taniguchi. Despite the language barrier, she was extremely cheerful and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us. My family and I are truly grateful to her and the reception staff for making our trip such a pleasant one. Would definitely book this hotel again in the future.

Quiet convenience in Tokyo

The hotel is located in a very convenient area, with two restaurants and a Family Mart in the same building. It can be reached from Haneda airport without changing trains and is located very close to Shimbashi station, with access to a number of rail lines. The rooms were very clean if quite small by American standards. The staff was friendly and helped us arrange shipping our luggage to the next location. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for three nights in the Queen size room. The bed was comfortable and can easily fit two people comfortably. The overall room size is tight so if you have suitcases larger than a carryon, it can be difficult to manoeuvre. Highly recommend packing cubes so you don’t have to open your suitcase frequently. Nice size mirrors to help get ready. The location is super close to subway station which makes travelling the city convenient.

The staff were all absolutely wonderful!!! So helpful with all of our questions. The lower-level rooms may be a tad noisy due to train, but the train stops around 1AM. Higher level (we stayed on Floor 13) was quieter. They can keep your luggage after check-out. There's 24hr Family Mart inside the same building, very convenient!

The staff are very helpful from the arrival time to the end of stay. Check-in and check-out are both simple, with staff available to assist at all times. Left luggage is a breeze too, coming early and leaving late is never a problem. Room is big in Tokyo standard, and price is very fair.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from Shimbashi Station, making it very convenient for transportation and exploring Tokyo. The room was clean and well-maintained, though it felt a little small. The window faces another building, so natural sunlight is limited during the day. Small but clean and cozy room. Just enough space to spread out my luggage. Train can be heard from the outside, which didn't affect me much but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. Convenient location as I needed to go to Tokyo Big Sight for an event, and airport is also easy to access. Restaurant on 2/F opens until 11pm, which was perfect for me as the event lasted until evening. Family Mart located at ground floor, which was very convenient too. Would love to be back if I need to go to Tokyo Big Sight again.

It can barely fit one person even you book a 2 ppl room. You can even move in the bathroom and no space for luggage at all. Do not recommend if you are not travel alone. Great location, train station is within 5 minute walking and easy to get around. Family mart is downstairs and there are other convience stores within 2 minutes walking. Check in and out was really easy. Great customer service. They helped with luggage transfer to our next hotel. The room is a little dated and really small, barely enough room to walk and open luggage.

It was not a big issue but the main office area and foyer waiting area was pretty uninviting. But it's hard to change the particular layout of a building. The Annex building was even less inviting than the main building. My room was very small of course but it had everything and was very clean and quiet. Great location.

Very good location, less than 5 minutes walk to Shimbashi night life street and subway. Loads of food options.

Stayed in the Annex building, overall is fine, but not as convenient to use the washing machine as it is in the main building. The dryer was also rather weak, had to run almost 2 hours to dry a small load.
