The room was fine, amenities were good and washing machine was very handy but the hotel ad said \"family friendly\" and we were told that kids were welcome but only found out at check-in that cots were not available and safety guard rails were in limited supply. The breakfast buffet was also decent but again, no baby chairs were available so it was difficult having breakfast with a baby in tow. Another guest had their child squirming on their lap! Good hotel so long as you are not travelling with small children.

10 minute walk from Shimbashi station through a bustling neighborhood. Lots of izakayas, rampant night life. The room is small, but perfect for a solo traveler looking for no frills hotel room. Bathroom has a slight odor, bathoom ceiling hatch was not locked and could peek your head through it.
The hotel allows you to check out 11a, however, if you give them a hotel rating/review at check in, they will allow an additional hour to check out at 12p

Location was excellent - within 5-10 min walk to Shimbashi station. There are many convenience stores, restaurants and bars closeby. Plus side - area is not as busy as places like Shinjuku, Shibuya and Asakusa. Some may find it a little \"seedier\" than other neighborhoods frequented by travelers but if you come from a big city, it should not feel seedy at all. It definitely felt safer than the equivalent neighborhood back home in Canada.

The hotel itself is pretty barebones but comfortable. I enjoyed the free coffee/tea in the lobby, and the concierge was friendly and helpful. The ensuite washer/dryer was incredibly useful. I strongly disliked the bed linens.

The rooms are as dense with amenities as possible, there's just enough room for everything EXCEPT your luggage. Both me and a friend were having pretty bad allergies inside, especially inside the bathroom?? it got better with the heater off and the windows open. Beds are pretty stiff if you like that. Can't comment on breakfast

I just want to say the location is great. You can take the JR Yamanote Line to all the location you want around Tokyo.
(It’s like a big circle) The room I chose came with the Microwave and washroom/dryer in one. Which is great.
The Room itself is ok for one person. Yes the room is clean, I like the bath tube too because at the end of the day i can just relax.
I do noticed that the hotel is kind of older now, so probably need a renovation soon. I can’t commend on the breakfast as i did not choose it.

The hotel was OK. They ask you to pay PER PERSON if you want to check-in early. Which is a little bit ridiculous since our luggages were already in the room (due to Yamato transfer) so, many people were waiting in the small lobby waiting for 3pm. We were all looking at each other like this is ridiculous.
The room we had, had a broken window. Mind you we were in the 12th floor and the window could open without a locking mechanism and could open widely. Even I almost fell from the window because I didn’t know it was broken and it opened completely. I wrote immediately to the reception, but asked to come in the morning. I couldn’t sleep that night because I was scared that my son (who could reach the handle easily) would open the window and fall.
They do not clean the room, and only provide new towels.
We enjoyed the walking distance near a metro.
Staff was still friendly.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk maximum from Shimbashi station, so easy access to Haneda airport and other areas in Tokyo. It’s around a 10 - 15 minute walk to Ginza from the hotel.
The bed and shower were wonderful, found the pillows a bit hard though. Was really helpful having a washer/dryer located in the room.
The room itself is just the right size for 2 adults with their luggage, but any more than 2 suitcases would be a tight squeeze.
While clean in the room and shower area, you could see signs of wear and tear throughout. There was some wallpaper pealing by the toilet in the room and a lot of dust around the washer/dryer.
On the last night after strong winds, a squealing started from outside the room and would not stop. We managed to sleep eventually, but it wasn’t a nice way to end our time at the hotel.
For a night or two, we would recommend the hotel but for any longer it would not be a comfortable stay if there is more than 1 person staying in the room.

The room was standard but the window does give the wind their way into the room. Overall, the facilities in the room need to be either given a better wash up and cleansing as I do see stain in the bathtub which can't be wash away and the washing machine has dirt in the rubber.

That being said, the staffs were wonderful. They are super friendly and kind. Given my broken Japanese, they were able to provide me with wonderful assistance from refilling the washing detergent to collecting my parcel for me. They will also explain to me the cleaning policy and explain me to clear up my room on the day of cleaning if I am not comfortable for their team to see the item.

The location of this hotel is also great, it is just a street away from a lot of izakaya. Food is just everywhere. It is also near 2 major station in which can bring you to literally everywhere in Tokyo.

So putting away the facilities, this hotel is worth the stay.

Did not like the room size and layout - room was very small and narrow. Staff was nice, but was expecting more English speaking staff. No housekeeping on a daily basis - room is cleaned only if you stay for 7 nights or more! Description of hotel could be better so that I would know what to expect!! Was not happy being in such a small and very narrow room for 6 nights.

Very clean room, small as expected (we took the 15sqm room) but sufficient for our needs. It was a great surprise to come out of the train station from the airport and realize it’s less than 5 mins walk to the hotel! The location is very central, lots of Izakayas and restaurants near by, but because it’s so close to the metro you can get literally anywhere in Tokyo. Overall we had lovely stay and would recommend. I did take down one star, as there is an upper train that goes near by and from our room we could hear it till late at night, which I did not know in advance (and I’m not sure you can hear it from every room) - so just be aware and bring ear plugs if needed. But it definitely didn’t affect our trip that much.

Room was dusty even though it had been cleaned. When we told the staff and asked them to clean the room because it was dusty and causing issues with our allergies they tried to charge us to clean the room. I think there was a disconnect with not understanding our request. They then moved up the cleaning date by 2 days to clean the room that day instead. The room was better but not great and still continued to have a \"bathroom\" smell even though it was cleaned. Unless you're planning on going to the bars in the area there is not much to eat locally. This isn't a fault of the hotel though just the surrounding neighborhood. Very close and walkable to the train station which was a plus. The noise outside was quite load but once we were in the room you could hardly hear it and didn't cause any problems sleeping.

Inconsistent Service – Some Staff Are Great, Othe

I stayed at this hotel for two nights (October 5–7), & my experience was very mixed. The customer service on my first day was terrible, especially the front desk men working in the afternoon & early evening of 10/5. They were dismissive, unhelpful, and could barely communicate in English. When I asked about storing my luggage for a later date (since I had another reservation for the same week), they made it seem like an inconvenience.When I entered my room, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet. I also realized that the room did not include a washer/dryer as advertised on Hotels.com. When I asked about it, I was told I needed to pay an extra 4,000 yen for both nights to have that feature, something that was never mentioned online. As for the toilet smell, they didn’t offer to clean it or even provide cleaning materials, which was really disappointing. The only positive part of my stay was when I called for help with the air conditioner. The staff member who came to my room was polite, attentive, & genuinely tried to help. On 10/10, when I returned to pick up my stored luggage, the front desk man on duty that evening was completely different, very kind, professional, & accommodating. It made me realize how inconsistent the service at this hotel can be. Unfortunately, the rude & arrogant attitude of the earlier front desk men(especially toward a solo female traveler) left such a bad impression that I decided to cancel my later reservation & stayed somewhere else.

The best hotel on my trip to Japan

This hotel checks all of the boxes. I absolutely loved my stay here. I will be back next time I'm in Tokyo. For those looking for reliable, comfort in the Ginza area it does the job fantastically. They pay attention to ALL of the details that make for a great stay. Comfy beds, decent pillows, powerful shower heads, sizeable desk area, free coffee, and a long list that goes on and on. Easy, casual and well executed lodging. I particularly loved the scented fabric spray in the closet area. I didn't have time for laundry and the 90 degree humidity was making some of my clothes unfresh. nice touch!!! Thank you Tokyu Stay for making the end of my trip so delightful.

This is the third Tokyu Stay property I've stayed at. I choose this chain because of the convenience of having a washer & dryer in the room. Their hotels have all been clean and reasonably priced. A very comfortable place

It was absolutely amazing. Their was a nice Italian style restaurant attached to the hotel which was open for most of the day. I only stayed for 2 weeks, but it was the best two weeks I had in a long time. I will definitely be going back there.

P.S 1 major benefit of this hotel is that it is very close to many stores and train stations.

We used the in room laundry every day since the weather was so hot.
The configuration of the bed was bad. If there are 2 people　one gets stuck inside against the wall, and crawling out of the bed without waking the partner is impossible.
The amenity was not as good as other Tokyo hotels. Especially they did not have wide range of bath and hygiene items offered.
The location is good and is close to the station.

Overall this is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, bed is good and the hotel reception area is nice. They have a laundry machine in the room which is a huge plus. It works great and google translate helps if you run into questions or problems. There was a microwave, clothing press, hot water pot and deep sink in the room as well. It is very close to Shimbashi train station which has many main lines running through it. Easy to get around just about anywhere in Tokyo from here. Another plus is there are lots of restaurants and kobinis within a few minutes walking distance.

With that being said, here are some of the things that could have been better. The room felt cramped with luggage. I realize it’s a trade off for having the ability to do laundry. It’s definitely manageable but has its moments. The staff is friendly and very helpful. But when we asked for a second key to our son’s room, they said no and sited security reasons. This seemed a little strange to me. Problem is you need a key to access the floor and we were on separate floors. It was a little inconvenient to have to go downstairs to exchange things or meet. A second key could have resolved this easily. The other thing was the hallways were not air conditioned. Your walk to and from the elevator was like being in a sauna sometimes.

This is a great hotel to stay near the heart of Toyko. Ginza and Shibuya are just a short train ride away.

Staff was very helpful. They even let us check in earlier than scheduled, which is very rare in Japan. Room size was fine for one person. Complimentary coffee at the lobby only starts at 7am. I've stayed two Tokyu Stay hotels on this trip for six nights. The only things I didn't like were: 1) the quality of toilet paper - lol - it's pretty rough & thin, it breaks apart very easily. 2) shampoo & conditioner were too oily for m hair. My hair felt very heavy every time I washed them.

Great convenient location. Nice room and great to have a washer/dryer unit in the room. Front desk was very helpful. Was able to easily ship my luggage there as well as ship them out to the airport without any issues. Close to many trains, the Miyazaki clock, Tamiya and a short walk to Ginza as well.

This property has a good location, close to train station so transportation is convenient. It is also very walkable, in a vibrant neighborhood. Staffs were polite.
However, the bed was terrible. It is by far one of the lower quality beds I have slept on among hotels I stayed, including Japan. It squeaks loudly as well.

Hotel only offered once a week cleaning for room and yet that weekly cleaning is very superficial and did not clean up properly. Amenities is pathetic and never offer drinking water at all. Service staff is super calculative about check in time and insisted on charging extra for checking in before 3pm even for checking in passed 2pm.

Incredibly uncomfortable bed, especially the pillows, which offer no support for your neck at all. Every night i slept badly and woke up with a sore neck and back.

I stay around Shimbashi multiple times every year, and have never had such an uncomfortable experience.

Standard hotel size for Tokyo. The property is about 5-7 minutes walk from Shimbashi station and have easy access to many restaurants! The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The property is clean and serves complimentary coffee each morning at the lobby. Shimbashi station has easy access for trains to many points of interests including Odaiba and Ueno!
