A very quiet hotel with comfortable beds, good for sleeping.
Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
There is no safe or fridge, staff put passports in th hotel safe for me and chilled our wine. There is a very nice lounge you can use.

Very close to the main tourist shops and the fabulous (Though not cheap) food hall.

There is a public baths, the Church and bus stops nearby.

Clean bed. No shampoo. No conditioner. Just liquid soap. So bring your own. When hot water turn on, the sink smells like a sulfur. I don’t know if it’s the natural hot water smell or the sink. And for Americans who are used to large wash sink, the bathroom sink is very small and there is a shelf few inches from the sink. It seems it’s like this in Europe. Anyways, you’ll find it difficult to try to wash your face from the sink. Good thing: Very convenient location to Bus stop #13.

The room was lovely and clean and exactly what we needed for our stay. The aren’t fancy and have a wet room. But really quiet and beds were comfy!
The location was great just a 5 min stroll to the Main Street. We even walked to the harbour for our whale watching. We hired a car and managed to get a free space to park every day. There is additional paid parking nearby if you aren’t as lucky.
Breakfast was great there was even eggs bacon and sausage.
We had a great stay, and would recommend to anyone!

Room is so small, if u split the single bed there is no space for you turn. Pics looks great but not what it looks like. Bathroom is tiny and old curtains can touch you all the time when you shower. And parking is limit and 2 night we don’t have space need park on street and pay for our own.

My room was basic but comfortable. It had poor lighting by the desk, and the only power socket by the bed was in use for the bedside light. It was right next to reception, but it wasn't as noisy as I expected, however there was a noisy motor running all the time somewhere outside the hotel. The room description on Expedia says there is a \"Safe\", but there was no safe in my room. I chose this hotel for the free parking and the safe in the room. This is dishonest, so I am giving it a 2 out of 5 rating. Yes, I know there is a safe at reception, but that is covered by \"Safe at front desk\", which is in the Property amenities section. The room descriptions for this hotel on several other booking sites also say that the rooms have a \"Safe\" or a \"Laptop safe\", or a description which says \"these comfortable rooms are appointed with a safe box\". I will not stay here again.

This place is so close to downtown..you can see the Hallgrimskirkja from your room! Walking distance to the bay. Around 10 min walk to the main downtown. The food hall is next door! Breakfast is amazing! Staff are super friendly and super helpful! You will have a kettle with coffee and tea. Downside; parking! There's only about 12 cars can park in the back and 5 on the side of the hotel. However you can still park of the street. The walls on this hotel are thin so you will hear everyone talking. With that said, I will definitely stay again! Great hotel!

Nice size room. Parking is a pain as you have to search for one all over the hotel vicinity. The hot water from the tap smells too strong of sulphur. We thought initially this is the norm, but upon moving around Iceland, found that it is only in this hotel where the tap hot watersmells really bad. Would also note that the coffee offered in the reception still has a cost. Would have expected that it should be free already as in most of the hotels elsewhere, and considering how pricy the hotel stay is already.

Good location and nice hotel

The employees were very helpful guiding us to restaurants and helping us with transportation. The hotel is well located for a short walk downtown or access to buses. We took a couple tours and the buses picked us up right around the corner.
The beds were quite comfortable. There is a great coffee shop nearby called Reykjavik Roasters which we went to each morning so we didn’t try the breakfast at the hotel.

Room bathroom smells bad including the water, there was no free water downstairs by reception at times, the staff was nickel and diming everything including our request for hot water, 2 complimentary water bottles not provided by reception upon checkin, staff does not smile very cold behavior at all times and not helpful, coffee that you pay for is laid out by reception for hours and that is disgusting, bathroom layout was horrible in the room and I would NOT stay here again despite closeness to shops. I would not recommend. Pay a little more and go elsewhere.

I found the staff on check in and check out very sullen and unhelpful. Property was very clean. No air conditioning and only small window could open. Front desk did provide fan. Showers were very small. My cruise ship bathroom was bigger. Breakfast was good but otherwise no food options at hotel. Bed was very comfortable and clean.

Nordic minimalism

The room was very basic - Nordic minimalist! Bathroom was tiny, we’ve had bigger on a cruiseship! Bed comfortable, but housekeeping was only provided if you ask for it. At least the room had a kettle though.

They had free parking but it filled up so we had to park on the street for our one night. The curtains were some of the better ones on our trip so that helped sleeping in June. Breakfast buffet was great and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The double rooms were a little small but we did fine. Lexi was great at check in.

Arrived 2 hours before check in time, but was given a room straight away (could of been lucky).
The hotel is just a short walk from the cathedral and other sites.
One real good thing this hotel has going for it is the drop off zone for the airport bus and excurtion busses, it's right on the corner opposte the hotel (bus stop 13), very handy.

We booked this hotel due to its location opposite one of the pick up points for tours (Bus Stop 13) and its distance to downtown. 2 minute walk to the bus stop 13, local shop, and food hall (Hlemmur Mathöll). 5-10 minute walk to downtown with plenty of souvenir shops, and restaurants.

The hotel was warm and clean with everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we arrived at 8:30PM and had no issues with check-in. Off reception there is a small area with sofas to sit in - lots of windows and plants with plug sockets. Downstairs by the breakfast room there is toilets and another small seating area. Breakfast is 7-10 and well worth paying for. A great choice of pastries, fruit, freshly baked bread, sausages, eggs, biscuits, hams and cheese, plus more and drinks. Breakfast staff friendly and filled water bottles for us.

Our rooms were clean, tidy and had enough space for us. As a family, we had connecting rooms which was great and really useful. The bathrooms are compact, but perfectly suitable for what we needed. Towels and hairdryer were provided, as its Iceland there was a slight sulfur smell to the hot water, but it didn't bother us at all. Bed's were comfortable and it was quiet, we didn't hear much external or internal noise. There was a lack of coat hooks in the room / bathroom - we came back wet sometimes and had nowhere to hang our wet coats other than on the wardrobe doors.

I'd stay again and would recommend, lovely small hotel.

Room was OK, basic but great location. Not entirely sure my room was properly turned over though. Genuinely noticed so many hairs in the bed, but after a long day travelling I just couldn’t be bothered complaining. Frustrating as the bed was actually very comfy. Would’ve said something at checkout but the poor guy at the desk was dealing with a massive queue of checkins and I’m not that kind of person. Such a shame, probably wouldn’t stay again as there are so many great competitor hotels at similar prices.

Location is within a few blocks from main shopping and tourist restaurants. Hotel is older , rooms. Are very small and a queen bed is 2 single beds together but no queen sheet. Thought I was sleeping on the mattress cover as it was not a sheet and very scratchy. Service was good, breakfast buffet was excellent. Bathrooms are very small and dated, wait 5 min for hot water to arrive but then good and hot. No separate shower, just a curtain so entire bathroom floor was wet after shower. You get what you pay for but considered it pricy for what you got.

Parking was a nightmare

Parking was a nightmare. Online it said it was easy. Ha. There was no space in the free lot. Then two staff, who were very nice and trying to help, kept telling me where the parking garage is but we couldn't find it
Every time we had to come back and ask. They didn't have a name of it or GPS coordinate so I ended up parking at a meter. The location is excellent. We walked to the city and had a great time. If you don't have a car, it's probably a good place to stay

Not used to the European wet bathroom which was a shock and the hotel parking was very limited. Breakfast buffet was wonderful as was the staff. We had a room that overlooked a park with a view of Hallgrimskirkja which was nice. We were in walking distance of everything: Main shopping district, restaurants, and the harbor.
