Although there aren’t staff present other than housekeeping, the team were very helpful with providing information and also allowing early check-in. The rooms were very clean and spacious, provided hairdryer, toiletries, mini fridge - this was essential for us.
Great location - walking distance from the city centre. Would definitely stay here again.
Personal preference - would like the option of additional pillows in the room

The hotel itself was very nice and cozy, the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the “free parking” is misleading. It is actually street parking nearby, most of which is paid, some of it is free. However it is not clearly marked, some of it is a couple of blocks away, and most of it is full. We came after a long red eye flight and long day with no sleep and had to circle the block for 20 minutes to find parking until we decided to risk it at an unmarked spot. Thankfully it was safe parking and our rental car was still there. I would warn anyone who is booking this location for the “free parking” that it’s not on the premises.

The Hotel is wonderful. I prefer a more quiet place to stay when I travel, so I look for a bed further away from downtowns and the hustle and bustle. Since Reykjavik is easy to walk or use the city bus, I had access to everything I needed.

I didn't have a car, so I can't comment on parking. The self check-in was simple and straightforward. My room was comfy and clean. The private bathroom was awesome.

There are plenty of food spots and groceries nearby, as well as some stores.

Bathroom was too small. The tv turned on but I had no access to regular tv channels. The only option was to log onto youtube or the accuweather app. Shortly after arriving from a long day of travel, I got in bed to rest and was abruptly woken up by a test fire alarm. Customer service was prompt when I did reach out and they were very polite.

Todo funcionó perfecto. Tuvimos un pequeño inconveniente con el desayuno, ya que el restaurante no sabía, llamamos al número de atención al cliente del hotel y el 5 minutos estaba resuelvo. Creo que es un problema cuando uno hace la reserva con Expedía, ya que esto nos pasó otra vez más en otro hotel que también reservamos con expedía. Nice quaint hotel in the city. It’s not the closest to the bustle but only a 15 minute walk. They were great allowing us to check-in early which was much appreciated. Parking was the major hindrance and spent navigating a parking spot. The room was clean, the breakfast is light and a bit nimble for the cost. The price overall was good and if you have questions, they are responsive very quickly.

We liked that all the tours that we booked had a pick up spot at the hotel. There was a pretty good restaurant at the side albeit on the pricey side, as was most of Iceland. Anywho, saved money on shopping at Bonus, which was less then 5 minutes from the hotel. There are also some good coffee shops nearby, just google it. As for the room it was clean. The room faced the street but the neighborhood was on the quiet side. There was heavy construction across the hotel but we were out for most of the day, so that kind of noise wasn’t a bother. Staff was quick to answer questions via message/email. There is a storage locker and WC in the lobby, so if you're early and waiting for check in, there's that. Walking distance to downtown Reykjavik is about 20-25 min depending on how fast you walk. 10-15 minute walk to the ocean. All in all, a good place to stay for our first time in Iceland.

Let me save you the trouble of figuring out parking - parking on Brautarholt street (the street running parallel to the hotel) is paid during the day. Between the hours of 9AM - 9PM it is paid and has a 3 hour limit. Between 9PM - 9AM, it is free. It is a P1 parking zone incase you need to search it. The payment machine is at the end of the street and does not have english so be prepared to translate.

Hotel has no staff. Not a single person to help if you need anything. There’s a sewage smell in the lobby. Room was okay. The tabletops were dusty and my sheet had blood stains on it. The bathroom was clean but very basic (no conditioner in the shower). I’ve stayed at about 8 hotels across iceland and this was the worst by far. Would not recommend. The construction across the street is also extremely inconvenient and seems to not be ending any time soon. The video shown about parking was the most confusing and inaccurate overview — and when I contacted the hotel to clarify they just sent me back the same monolog from the video about parking being paid and free all on the same street. Don’t stay here. I’d be willing to pay more for the slight convenience of being able to ask a human being for help.

The hotel was very clean and just as pictured. The bed was comfortable and shower water pressure was amazing! I liked the keyless entry and check in. Parking is not super convenient, but not too crazy and I don’t have complaints. Just something to note. There are limited free parking spaces right by the hotel, but there were many free spaces about a block away. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel was great. The step up shower was small for a tall person and small for a little bit larger person leaving not much room to move. As much as we enjoyed the hotel, we did feel the absence of any onsite, concierge personnel.

This Hotel was the perfect choice for me! The staff made it easy for me to store luggage while I explored for the day as I arrived very early. There was every amenity I needed including a smart TV which was a treat! It was easy to find and easy to get to all of the sights I was hoping to see. Loved my stay!

I did not like having not a single person on the property to talk to about anything. No local advice or flavor to help you navigate thru a day. Missed that. Also, a breaker popped while we were there...room went dark and I had to call the phone contact in the hope they could direct me to help. I ended up finding the breaker box and resetting the breaker. I would not stay here again. Just too impersonal and cold of a way to run a hotel.

Great value for Reykjavik

It's slightly off the centre of the city but still very walkable to ships and restaurants. It's self check in and out, but we had no problem with that. We were able to store our luggage before our check in time.
The shower is very nice and the beds are comfortable. We would stay here again.

Make sure you have access to your email before you get there or press the button to get info on how to check in as the instructions are in the email and if you do not have wifi you will not know how to get in! this is a no staff hotel which is fine except the email comes just before you arrive and i did not have wifi during the time the email came but the button worked and i was able to get in.

Reasonable price for the area and with 10 minute walk of resteraunts, but beware! You can't even get through the front door until 15:00 and there is no parking. So if you get dropped off by a shuttle from the airport late afternoon, you have to hang out with your luggage until 3 pm. At that time, your entry code that is emailed to you will allow you to check in. There is NO reception staff. If you have a car, you have to find street parking 2 to 3 blocks away. Despite what the online video shows, all parking on that street is a tow away zone or a limited 3 hour paid parking at 1000 kr per hour.

This was a terrible experience from the start. Zero parking available on the street. Door code didn’t work. I was hung up on when I called. Several other guests couldn’t get in either. It was pouring rain during this time. My door code didn’t work for my room setting off a siren, another guest couldn’t get into her room. Once I finally got into the room, which should be called a closet. (Don’t believe the pictures).
It took me an hour to figure how to turn off the lights, loud street noise, shower doors that didn’t seal. This is an awful experience, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Over a 5 night stay, our room (flanked by a large and active construction site) was never cleaned. With myself and two children, we were never offered fresh towels, coffee was never replenished, and were never relieved of the mounting food waste accumulating in our room. The on-site restaurant claimed no affiliation with the hotel and refused to even lend me a bowl for my child’s cereal. The only time we interacted with actual hotel staff (since check-in is virtual) was when we heard a knock at our door thirty minutes prior to check-out and an attendant proceeded to enter our room without invitation. I would strongly dissuade other travelers from staying at this property. Iceland is incredibly…this hotel is not.

The place was quite pleasant. Nice and clean. There isn’t a front desk or daily housekeeping, but that was fine for us. They send you a code to get into the building and your room. Very easy. Location is close to a couple grocery stores and there’s a fridge in the room. My only complaint is the parking. It’s not totally clear which spots are free. Even with the video provided. There are some P2 paid parking spots near the Bonus if you don’t want to gamble. P2 is the cheaper option.

Clean, simple, comfortable rooms - perfect if you are on the go traveler and just want a clean quiet place to sleep. About 10 minutes walk to the main activity area of town - straight down the street. Right by a grocery store and a healthy restaurant called Loving Hut. I was hesitant about not having a live front desk but they respond to emails super fast and the codes worked great. I didn't try the attached restaurant. Note: if you have trouble finding on google maps it was called 22 Hill before.

Checkin was done without staff, all instructions were in the reservation email, and no issues with that. The luggage storage room in the lobby was very useful. Parking was a bit troublesome, as it is shared with many other businesses nearby. There was a building under construction just across the alley that was loud and had lots of workers in view of our room from early in the morning until late in the afternoon. Not alot can be done about that, but worth mentioning, as we felt we couldn't have the windows open at all. Room is clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable.

This was a very nice hotel with contactless check in. Very comfortable with free parking. Also a great restaurant downstairs that we would highly recommend. We arrived late — about 9 pm due to delayed flight. The chef was just leaving when we got there and closing the kitchen. However, he stayed for us and made us a delicious dinner!

The room is recently renovated, clean and comfortable. We did have a problem with our code working when we first arrived but we called the phone number (as there is no front desk) and it was resolved. We saw other people having this same issue so it was not a one time issue. Also the TV is very large but it doesn’t get any stations and isn’t a smart tv so it cannot be used at all. Parking was a little bit of an issue as well but we were able to find some free parking across the street from the hotel.

No staff is involved with checkin. Everything is done by an access code. It makes it quick and convenient, however, impossible to ask questions directly and verify things. I was under the impression that breakfast was included (as all signs just gave the hours) to only realize, when I showed up at the restaurant in the morning, that for me it was not.

The location and accommodations are fair. There is ample free street parking in the vicinity. The hotel has no reception staff - it's mostly automated using codes for building entry, room access, and breakfast (to show if you've already paid).

The breakfast staff person during our stay was abrasive, and made breakfast uncomfortable. Each morning, you were interrogated as to if you had breakfast included in your reservation, even though there is an entry protocol (first, you type in your code and if you have breakfast included, the turnstile shows a green approval light; and second, you provide your room number at the entrance of the restaurant, written on a piece of paper).

On our last day, the staff person harassed us, claiming that we didn't have breakfast included even though we did. We had already typed in the code as was protocol and it showed a green approval light, and despite this, she made a speakerphone call with a hotel representative in the restaurant. I offered to show her my reservation information several times and she refused to look at it. I had to join the phone call, and the representative confirmed that we did in fact have breakfast included. It was unnecessarily contentious and a poor experience for our last day. Added to this, breakfast was missing many items, so we got little for what we had paid.

Overall, we had a fine stay, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The property was in a good location. It wasn't too far from town. We were able to store our luggage with no issues after a very early flight into Reykjavik. My code wasn't working at first, but it was simple to contact the hotel and resolution was immediate. The only complaint is there was no a/c unit (which I know it normal in Europe)... however, the room was VERY warm when we arrived. We were able to open the window which fixed that issue but it wouldn't stay propped open so we had to rig it a bit. Overall, it was an easy process & we would stay here again!

The room had no air conditioning but a huge glass window that allowed the sun to bake the room; temperatures in the room in tolerable.

Also - reservation was made for the same day occupation; was told I would be sent an email within a few days. Obviously, since it is a remote check-in – that is not good enough.

The room was ok, very basic but it was clean. There was no kettle provided in the room nor any drinks options in any communal areas.... this was unexpected as it didnt state that a kettle wouldn't be available. After landing at the airport late in the evening, we bought some 'instant noodles' knowing restaurants would be close at that time, so it was very frustrating to get to our room and find no amenities or way or making a drinknor food. There was also very limited parking outside. With no reception or front desk, you were left with limited information.
