Rooms were really clean and nice. Good amenities, and breakfast was great.
Nice worldcup decorations.
Only issue is I got in late from traveling (11pm), and wanted to do a late checkout to get more adequate sleep as I had a 22 hour drive ahead of me. I was told there were no late checkouts. Overall, great experience and I would most definitely stay again.

I really thought the hotel was nice and staff very helpful. That being said the area is super sketchy and it’s not the hotels fault but there was several vehicles broken into in the parking lot including mine. I saw 3 vehicles with the windows smashed out. It’s not a very good side of town but I booked it to be closer to Kauffman for a Royals game. I had read similar reviews about crime so I drove an old beater truck I have that I wasn’t worried about anything happening to

This place is kind of a dump.

First off, the front desk person was very pleasant. It was the night of a World Cup game so I commend him on his demeanor with so many guests and things happening.

About the hotel:
1- they charge you an extra $25 to park there if it’s an event night. Which wasn’t listed anywhere when I purchased the room. So that was lame.
2- the first room they gave us smelled like wet dog. It was terrible. Front desk switched us quickly the second room smelled fine.
3- they rent out their lot to event parking so it was an absolute zoo to navigate the small parking lot to get to where patrons could park. That really bothered me.
4- the pool was closed early due to the World Cup event. Which was stupid and irritating when my kids look forward to hotel pools.
5- both rooms had electrical issues. One of both bedside lamps didn’t work in either room.
6- continental breakfast actually wasn’t bad. Above average I would say. Biscuits and gravy. Make your own Pancakes, sausage and egg and potatoes and then the usual cereal coffee yogurt.

Overall, location was great for a royals game, but the property was a dump. I’d probably not come back.

When we arrived, there weren’t any spots for the hotel available to park to even come and check in. We had to pay someone $60 for a spot just to come in and check in only to be told we had to pay $25 here to park overnight! It’s truly ridiculous to not have enough spots in your lot for your guests. Maybe consider not having so many spots available to be sold in your lot so guests of the hotel can use the lot as the booking said. Additionally, the room had a lot of staining and markings on different furniture, the bed, and in the shower that made us feel very uncomfortable and we considered driving home instead of staying overnight. It’s extremely disappointing to know that this is the closest hotel to the two major stadiums in Kansas City.

We went for the World Cup game, the day of the game I ask about what time for breakfast, someone in front desktold me 10 am, that morning when I arrived for breakfast and pick something for my son ( 9:30) even there where other customer there, I was told that breakfast was close.

Wi-fi connection was awful, slow, and barely connected the 1st day to my phone and laptop, and then not at all during the rest of my stay. The wi-fi also barely reached 1/2 way through the room and had not connection near the windows.
Was informed that a room cleaning schedule was to happen every other day, so when we prepared for housekeeping to come in and change sheets and towels, they never showed up to our room, and during our entire stay.
Breakfast offerings are typical of hotel breakfast, and were brought out and replenished often.
Walls of rooms are super thin and can hear noises from hallways. Bathroom has no fan and dim lighting situation.

We found the hotel to be sufficient for those that are looking for a good, but not great, place to stay. The rooms are part 1960’s decor and part modern. It was nicely cleaned, which was important for us. The breakfast quality was very “budget conscious,” Many guests were finding it worked great for them. Priya at the front desk was very helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay. I was in for a baseball game and the walk to Kauffman only took about 16 minutes. The property appears well maintained. Although towels are a bit on the small side. As I was only one person, it was not an issue. I would definitely recommend Hotel Lotus, especially for a ball game, It is a bit far too commute to downtown Kansas City. Also, the AC was excellent!!! I love a cold room!!!

Loved having pancakes for breakfast instead of usual hotel waffles. Didn’t like that staff walked on top of me during breakfast and I asked for housekeeping and was given the things to do it myself… then I had to comeback and ask her where the dirty things and trash go and she was annoyed.

The room was clean and the air conditioning kept the room cool through the humid night. I had an early departure, but breakfast was hot and ready when I came down at 6:30 so I was able to have some biscuits and gravy with eggs on my way out, which were all very good. My only issue was the pillows in the room, as none of which I found were the most comfortable for me. Still, the location and good complimentary breakfast certainly made up for it. I would definitely stay again.

The first time i stayed, i forgot my ear pods that i just bought, once i realized it, I called the hotel and was able to go back and retrieve them. I enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean and the price is amazing. Nice beds and breakfast was great. Especially the pancakes. Every time I come to Kansas City MO and I need a hotel, I will be staying at Hotel Lotus. Property was clean and staff were great especially the mobile concierge. The place was extremely clean and smelled amazing. They are under renovation so there are areas nicer than others. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. The bathrooms were extremely tiny, but the size of the rooms more than made up for it. Breakfast was advertised but no where in sight. The condition of the furniture in the room was extremely worn and stained. However, bedding and up keep more than made up for the aesthetics. I’m not sure I would return due to the highway construction and areas being closed off and rerouting so that was a bit of an inconvenience and for the last minute cost I would need the breakfast amenity to actually happen.

Before arriving, our plans changed and we needed to stay an extra night. Because it was too late to modify our reservation, we had to make a second one. I was also surprised by the $100 security deposit, which had to be paid for each reservation.

The hotel smelled terrible. There was a strong marijuana odor mixed with heavy fragrance spray, and each floor smelled different. We were constantly exposed to it going between our room, the lobby, and parking area. The smell gave me a severe headache and eventually made me sick. My kids were miserable as well.

One of the main reasons we booked here was the pool, we even purchased swimwear and floaties for the pool. However, when I checked it out, there was a large health department notice stating the pool was closed. No one mentioned this at check-in.
The surrounding area felt sketchy, with people lingering around the parking lot who didn't appear to be guests. We did not feel safe.
The room itself wasn't much better. The floors were so dirty they turned our baby's feet black. The room smelled, and there were slight staining and buildup on the walls. Most concerning was the window, our children quickly discovered they could unlock and open it (3rd f) The only barrier was a screen, creating a serious fall hazard. We spent the entire stay keeping the kids away from the window.
The breakfast was actually pretty good, but with everything else, the odors, safety concerns, closed pool, and cleanliness issues, we will not be returning.

Pleasantly surprised!! Queen suite.was perfect! Clean room, hallway, and rooms to each side of me were quite. Breakfast was good. My AC went out and me and my dog needed a place to stay close by. The ice machine on my floor did not work, no kleenex in the room, but very comfortable stay.

The entire hotel smelled of smoke. Despite the hotel's efforts to make this a non-smoking hotel, the hotel was once a smoking hotel and it still smells like it. My family has bad allergies when it comes to smoke, so we ended up staying in our room as much as we could when in the hotel (which they came and doused with some kind of cleaning spray when we complained about the smoke smell being in the room as well). We didn't go to breakfast on the 2nd full day of our stay because the smoke smell was so overwhelming. We didn't get to really try any of the amenities because we stayed out of the hotel as much as we could and when we were there, we stayed in our room. It was not the experience we were expecting- especially for the price that we were paying.

Overall the experience went well, though it didn't start that way.

When we first check in around 9:30pm the young lady working the chick in desk was spending more time chatting and laughing to a separate conversation on her cell phone, while wearing her earbuds, than checking us in.
Only asked if we were carrying pets, which we were not, and gave us our room number and key. Lucky if we got more than 20 words from her.

But overall the room was clean, the area was convenient for our needs and the hot breakfast was great. We only had to endure the non welcoming attitude when we came in, but we were so tired it didn't really bother our overall stay.

The hotel is a bit older and I get that. A couple of things, the room I was put in didn't have a remote for the TV. I called and the gentlemen who answered wasn't able to help. There was a piece in the A/C unit that was missing. When I came back from dinner, the A/C Unit made a loud noise. I went to the front and showed the lady there a video I made and she upgraded me to a suite. I appreciated that, but the new room also had an A/C unit with loud noise. Not as loud as the first room, but loud enough I had to turn it off so the noise stopped. There was some mold in the bathroom. During breakfast he coffee machine only poured hot water. No coffee. Toaster wasn't plugged, and none of us could plug it because the plug was underneath the counter and it was covered. No staff member available. I don't think i've ever given a negative review, but this property definitely deserved it. I also have videos.

All pictures online are a catfish quality. Meant to enhance the quality of an already falling-apart hotel. For reference, wallpaper in my room was ripped off and hanging loose on the walls. The bathroom was dimly lit and was unlike any photos previously seen. The breakfast area was aesthetically nice but offered little to few options, all of which did not taste good. Keep in mind, this was a place meant to rest my head for the night, but money being spent and failing expectations is a loss enough. Just be wary to not keep expectations high. Worth spending extra for better quality of a different hotel.

For some reason we had an ADA room so only 1 night stand. No outlets close to bed so charging devices had to go away from the bed. No biggie - but not convenient.

The shower was a disaster. Since it was an ADA room it was all tile and the drain wasn’t enough to keep up. We only had one towel and water was everywhere.

For the price, it’s clean and great location from stadium.

Nothing too fancy. Clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water for shower. Had to have lightbulb in shower area replaced but was attended to quickly. Breakfasts weren’t bad. Easy walk to Kauffman Stadium.
This was a solid place to stay. I just want a clean and comfortable room to rest in when I’m not out and about and a decent breakfast to start the day.
It met my expectations. Would stay there again.

The suite we were given was on the ground floor not top as listed on their site. The room was ok at first glance. We had to clean all the soap scum and hair out of the tub to use it. The toilet screamed like a banshee every time you flushed it for 30-45 seconds. One of the beds was sounding like it was collapsing every time someone over 45 pounds laid on it. Wiped up a spot on the floor with a towel and it turned almost black with dirt, my kid took a shower and from the time he walked from the bathroom to the bed his feet were almost black. The bathroom in the main corridor didn’t get cleaned or restocked from Friday til we left on Sunday. Asked for towels three time Sunday starting at 7:30 am and they weren’t delivered when we left at 6pm Sunday. We were told we would be refunded for our last night due to all the issues and haven’t seen anything yet. Also on the other side of the fence there is a full homeless community

It was a nice stay but I would like to note a couple things as soon as we stepped into our room there was a very very strong smell of marijuana. I went up to the front desk to report it and I got asked if we wanted to change rooms. I said no because it’s not that big of a deal but I did not want to lose my deposit. For some reason, my deposit was not sent back and neither my friend or I smoke. The room was left in good condition so I’m very confused on why my deposit was not returned. It was a stay for baseball games because the stadium is right across the street I will not be staying at this hotel again

Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Outside noise was very loud in our room street side. The sitter conditioning auto set itself and the room was hot at night! Breakfast was the same every morning and limited seating so ate in our room for breakfast. Loved the view of Kansas City Stadium! The pool was not able to be used so that was a disappointment. However with the homeless population around the area not sure I would want to swim outdoors. It is also very unfortunate that there are homeless people living in the wooded area by parking area. Parking lot is fenced in so that is helpful. Overall I would still give this a good rating and would stay again!

I reserved a room for my fiancé, and I schedule check-in should’ve been 6 PM. Didn’t get into my room until 11 PM. Hotel claimed they didn’t see my booking reservations through Expedia had to contact Expedia three times. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower however had very low water pressure so showers were difficult but they were hot. Breakfast so decent.
