Our stay was great! The front desk was extremely knowledgeable about the city, the location was beautiful (right outside of downtown, about a mile walk), and the Icelandic breakfast was incredible. I will be thinking about the skyr and pecan pastries.

This was a great find. We went next door to Olifa to have dinner, which was incredible. It was close to the pharmacy and grocery store. The bus stop was right by the hotel. The check in process was quick and easy with the friendly staff. Our room was clean and had plenty of space for our luggage. Breakfast was delicious. It had the standard meat, cheese, pastries, fruit and we actually tried the cod liver oil shot. When in Rome!
The only thing I had trouble with was the soap in the bathroom. You have to squeeze the bottles, which is hard to do when you have arthritis. I would absolutely book another stay here.

The hotel was very clean, modern, and comfortable. Little touches like the wrap around desk, closet space, and fold out luggage rack made the small space seem much bigger. Easy and free parking. Pizza restaurant downstairs was excellent. It would be great if it was a little closer to downtown, but it was still very easy to drive or take the bus.

We stayed for two nights before our cruise and again after our cruise. The staff was phenomenal. They arranged our transportation from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport. They suggested restaurants, they stored our luggage, they gave great advice on where to visit and on the Hop On Hop Off bus service, purchased tickets for us. The list goes on and on. The staff made our trip so much better because of all their help.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Would definitely recommend.
Our flight landed at 5:00 am. By 9:00 we were in our room with with a full belly by using the early check in option that comes with breakfast.
We enjoyed strolling in the garden/park area across the road and felt safe even at night.

This a very clean a new hotel about a 20-25 min walk from downtown Reykjavík. Easy convinient parking if you have a rental car and very reasonably priced, given it's not located in the city center.

Full complementary breakfast buffet is available for guests every morning.

Unexpectedly awesome area for how far it was from the center of town--close to sports arena/facilities, zoo, playground, botanical gardens and an easy bus ride to the heart of Reykjavik. Room was tiny and bathroom was tiny. Shades didn't completely block out light.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We arrived early because of our flight and were able to check in early (with a small fee). The room was kind of small, but it had a window that opened and was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was nice and had all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was great! It was not what we were used to, and that's what made it so good. The first morning there was herring! The dining area filled up quickly so be aware of that. The bar was small, but there were several barstools and a good variety of drinks. We enjoyed their happy hour on both evenings of our stay. I recommend staying at Reykjavik Lights, especially if you are going on a cruise.

My wife and I spent our final 3 nights of a 15 day trip to Iceland at Reykjavik Lights. We found it to be a terrific finale to a terrific trip. The facility is first class, the staff is attentive and pleasant, and the breakfast is a delightful way to start the day. It is also reasonably priced when compared to the general Reykjavik market. Highly recommend.

When we tried to sign in there were 5 people ahead of us with 1 worker and 1 woman watching her- maybe training her?
We waited for 10 min to be signed in.
When we got to the room the door to the bathroom doesn’t shut properly. We could hear all of the people in other rooms having to slam their doors shut to close them.
The general area is dumpy around the hotel.
Breakfast was the saving grace for this hotel.

I would deathly recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was good. It’s not super close to downtown but easy access to a bus stop and if you’re OK walking a little over a mile you could be in downtown in no time via a very safe walking path. This was the only hotel on our trip where I did feel a little unsafe. It had nothing to do with the hotel, there were just some shady characters outside. The hotel had several safety protocols like having to swipe your room key to use the elevator so they obviously take safety as a priority. Ultimately for the price and convenience, really nice place to stay.

Modern clean hotel on the outskirts of Reykjavik. Rooms are simple but nicely appointed. Reception open 24 hours and always helpful. Recommend booking a Mountain View otherwise you will be looking over the industrial buildings behind the hotel

I would stay here again!

This was a nice hotel! It is on the smaller side if you bring a full set of luggage but there enough room to pack and unpack. The staff was very helpful: storing our luggage before check in, giving us city directions, calling a cab for us, and even giving us recommendations on where to eat in the area. The breakfast was delicious and very good! Sure, it doesn't have the waffle makers or the omelet stations but there was plenty to eat and the staff replenished the food timely, cleared the tables, and offered great service. Luckily, the summers (we visited in July) there aren't as hot so we opened the window in our room if it got stuffy or warm and it helped cool the room at night since there is no ac. I'm more of a hot bodied person and sweat easily but just opening the window kept me comfortable at night. Great staff and simple lobby and sitting area. Loved it! Oh, and we ate at both restaurants adjacent to the hotel on either side. The pizza place was delicious! Talk about great pizza and I highly recommend their Caesar salad!! And the cute organic deli with quiches, soups, and salads were delicious too! The flybus from the airport also dropped us off in front of the hotel as it's one of the stops from the airport.

This was a more \"budget-friendly\" option on my trip to Iceland (300$ CAN a night is still steep, but this is Iceland). The room was bright, airy, and super clean when I arrived and equipped with a helpful tea kettle. I would suggest that breakfast opens earlier (great spread) - several of us had to depart before 7AM and couldn't access the breakfast bar (there was coffee and croissants but I need more nutrition in the morning). Located across a bus stop, 10 mins to city centre by bus. Would stay there again!
