We had a great stay at Hotel Nap. The location is excellent—central, easily walkable, and perfectly situated for exploring Nice on foot. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it an easy place to relax after a day out. Comfortable room and bed in small hotel well located in the downtown area of Nice. 8 minute walk to the sea and old town area. Easy tram or suburban line access. Nice Ville (main) train station is 12 minute walk away. The standard room was definitely on the small side, especially the shower. If you are not a small person you'll be banging your elbows and knees on the shower partitions many times trying to get clean. Once actually, the water never warmed and had to skip a shower that day. I'm sure a one-off problem, but it was substantial for me that day. No food options, no water kettle in room which is annoying. So this is really just a bed and half-shower in a clean place in a good area. I would stay again if I was in a more spacious room with real-size shower.

Well located, cute hotel. Parking is off site a couple blocks away, but if you offload your bags to the lobby and then go park it's fine. 25 €. The tiny elevator was hilarious, but we really liked it overall. The location was priceless. Walk to all the shopping and eating!

Awfully expensive for what it offers, but overall a good location and good hotel.
Too small room for the price paid. Would have wanted a bit more space, even if it's a single room. Bathroom was too small and the sink wasn't big enough to wash hands! Maybe smaller than an airplane's sink.
Very kind staff, one of the best breakfasts in the world!
It was great that coffee, sparkling water, hot water and even syrups were available at the entrance.
Not many international channels on TV - I only saw French channels.
No minibar - for this price they could have provided a large one.

First off, our room was not clean. There were someone’s used lashes on the nightstand, hair strands over the floor and bed. Makeup marks on the sheets. When I contacted the front desk, they advised me there was nothing they could do about it housekeeping was gone for the day and no other room they could switch me too. Fantastic hotel in the heart of Nice.
2 mins walk from the tram station, 10 mins into the old town, 25 minutes to the port.
The standard room was spacious and clean - the bathroom was very small but it suited us perfectly for a 2 night stay.
Beds were comfortable but pillows were think and there was only one spare one between 2 people. I still slept very well.
I did hear a but of noise from other rooms (talking) which i imagine might be a problem in high season when the hotel is full, but for our November it was fine.
Coffee bar at reception was a nice touch and completely free. There was also water, syrups, and sweets- and even croissants one day too.
We didn't take breakfast at the hotel as they advised me prior to our stay that they could not cater for gluten free. The breakfast room looked nice though.
Staff were helpful and friendly, allowing us to store luggage before check in.
They even left a voucher for wine and some chocolates for my partners Birthday whoch was lovely.
Our room had a large opening window which looked out onto the street - nice and quiet, lovely to get the sun in, and a nice place to sit.
We paid £45 per night for 2 of us room only which was an absolute steal - i wouldn't hesitate to stay again, and would be happy to pay more.

Stayed here for four nights while visiting Nice and absolutely loved this hotel! The best part about it is the location, it is right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants and is only a short 10 min walk to the heart of Old Town and the beach. It’s also a short walk to the train station which was so convenient when travelling to other cities. The rooms were spacious enough and the service was wonderful. Our room also came with free breakfast which had a lot of varieties and was super convenient. There was also a free coffee and water station which was so nice not having to buy water! I would definitely stay at this hotel again and strongly recommend it to other travellers to Nice who want a good location for a reasonable price!

The hotel was easy to find, it's in a walkable area, and the staff are great. The room itself was quite small (not much room to walk around the bed) and the shower in the bathroom was TINY. But it was nicely decorated, the breakfast each morning was nice, and you're only a few minutes walk from the tourist areas. Great value for money.

On the last night of our stay, someone broke into our hotel room, accessed to our electronic safe (which was locked and secured with a unique 4 digit code), and stole all of our cash. We immediately reported this to the reception as soon as noticing the door of the electronic safe was open when we entered to our room. However, the receptionist on duty initially doubted our claim and suggested that we might have left the door open (which we did not for sure). Despite our insistence on the severity of the situation, we were told to wait until the morning to call the police.
The following morning, the manager tried to investigate the incident by attaching a key card machine to our room door to track entries and exits. There were no cameras on 2nd floor where we stayed, and only cameras at the entrance of the hotel, and that’s it!. The results confirmed an unauthorized entry into our room with a duplicate key during our absence. It was also discovered that there was no receptionist monitoring the hotel entrance at that time of the incident. Even though with all these facts, hotel management ignored our claim and didn’t help us recover the money was stolen from us at the property. Also, Orbitz customer service was not helpful and didn’t stay on our side to support with the situation. We are very disappointed with no solution during our stay abroad and do not recommend this hotel and definitely do not recommend Orbitz to anyone.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, gave us a lot of information about how to get around the city and trams. Nothing was too much for them.

Room was clean and was large in size. The hotel was a slightly noisy as read in other reviews but it’s what is expected of a city hotel for a decent price. It was clean and comfortable.

Location we felt was great! Round the corner from the night street and a few minutes walk to the main square. We were very pleased!

We stayed at this hotel on two diff segments. Second time there was mildew above shower. Overall for both rooms the room is very tight. Bed is too large for room and no walk around one side and closet I way of other I even paid for larger room. Now staying at another hotel and for $20 more much larger room and shower and amentities inc coffee, refridge and other items NAP hotel did not.

The hotel is in a great location and most places of interest are within walking distance. The room was very comfortable. The service was excellent. The person at the front desk was very helpful and offered a lot of advice for our trip.

The only gripe was the noise and the thin walls. There are plenty of earplugs provided. There is nothing they can do about the street noise.

Really close to tram stop for the airport tram, and short walk (<10mins) to both SNCF station, beach, and old town, so very convenient location. Nice to have complimentary tea, coffee, water and sweets. Room and hotel was generally in good condition. Room was a little small, but not an issue as we didn't spend much time in the room. It was a noisy hotel - doors in other rooms slamming through the night, other rooms playing music in the night, people in the corridors and TV/voices travelling through the building worse than anywhere else we've stayed - they even left earplugs in the bathroom, so presumably this is a known issue.

We chose Hotel Nap based on the good reviews on Expedia and were not disappointed. The place is well located to enjoy Nice. Staff in reception and at breakfast were friendly and efficient, room and public areas spotless. Good to have complimentary coffee, tea and chilled water available. We had a standard twin room at the front of the hotel which was fine for a night. Parking on street was easy nearby and costs 2.40eur for 2 hours between 9am and 8pm.

Excellent check in experience Aiman is a delight. Great air conditioning and perfect location. Construction work is understandable but somewhat noisy when you’re not expecting it early in the morning. Housekeeping do work hard but some aspects of cleaning & replenishing are missed.

We had a large room, with a big bathroom which were both very good. It was at the back of the hotel so if I was going again I would ask for a room at the front for more light.
There was iced water and coffee permanently available for free in reception, the water was very welcome in 37 heat. There were also beach umbrellas to borrow.

You know there’s something wrong when you find free earplugs on offer.
After a few minutes in the room I found the reason for the free earplugs. You can hear every small noise in my room, even the next room guest snoring all night (I’m serious).
According to the manager, they have this problem due to the age of the building, and they can’t do nothing about it.
So if noise is not a problem for you, then the hotel is perfect due to the location.

It is worth its price for a low budget traveler like me. The room is small & the shower is just so exact & no room to wiggle around but at the end of it all, all that I need is in the room, the AC is cool, the best is comfy, there is s cabinet for clothes. The Front desk is easy to deal with & they all speak good english. I am glad that the COVID protocol is well implemented in this hotel. There is enough sanitizer to use coming & leaving the vicinity. The breakfast was so-so, very basic but I must say that I really do not like apples but I tried their Fresh apples during their breakfast & it was the best! - so crunchy & juicy. Overall, if you have a limited budget like me - this is a great place to stay. Oh I forgot to mention that this hotel is easy to find & very accessible to the airport via tram L2 & just a walking distance to may point of interests.

The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of most things a tourist may want to see in Nice. Our room was spacious with a very pleasant decor (much nicer than in the featured Expedia photo). It was also quiet! Breakfast was abundant and varied and the refreshments offered in the lobby in the afternoon were a nice plus. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again and recommend.

I was very pleased with my 6 night stay at this hotel.

My favorite things about hotel were:
1. Best Location in Nice. Super easy to get around Nice on foot or via tram. Take the tram from the airport to Jean Medicin.
2. Breakfast is included. The breakfast includes, coffee, tea, apple juice, variety of breads and pastries, sliced ham, brie, swiss cheese, boiled eggs, fruit bowls, cereal, and more. I was very pleased with breakfast every morning.
3. WiFi worked very well at this hotel, fast upload/download speeds, I was able to keep up with work stuff flawlessly.
4. Plenty of towels. No shortage of towels in my room. Large, thick, fluffy towels.
5. Key card activated lights. When you enter your room, insert your key into the holder to activate the lights in your room. This makes it easy to find your key when you leave your room.

My insider tips on this hotel:
1. Combo liquid bath shower gel / shampoo is provided, but if you usually use conditioner, you will need to bring your own.
2. The elevator is limited to 2 persons and if starting at level 0, will only go to the first floor pressed. One night, I entered the elevator through the lobby on level 0. I pressed 4 and then pressed 3. The elevator went to floor 4.

Great hotel in a very central location

I had a great last minute stay in this very well located Nice centre Hotel. I had a very warm welcome when I arrived ( late at night). I slept very well, even though had some noise in early morning, due to being opposite the breakfast room. But I managed to relax well. The breakfast was very nice, friendly waitress.
Good check out too. All various members of staff have been
very helpful, polite and a smile on their faces.
I highly recommend and I will come back.

Very small hotel and tiny rooms. The building is old and not very well maintained. There was a musty smell in the stairs and corridors. Although this was a non- smoking hotel we could smell cigarette all the time in our room.
We were promised a double bed but got a twin bunk bed which we hated it. Restroom and shower is so tiny that I barely could fit.

Just newly renovated in good taste, this is a nice, small hotel but perfectly adequate, clean and near everything. Breakfast was a good selection and the coffee/lemonade stand in the entrance was a nice touch.
Tram almost outside the door although we walked everywhere once we got our bearings, on the corner of the main shopping street.
My bed and the bathroom door were squeaky, not a major complaint but I woke up my companion several times.
The staff were very friendly at this hotel, just slightly let down prior to check out. Our bags were in the luggage area and my friend popped back to retrieve something and left her bag there. We couldn't go anyhere without our bags so it felt a little like the person on departure (we had not met her any of the other days) was insinuating we were leaving without paying the local tax. It is only a few euro and we offered to pay it on arrival, it may have well slipped our minds at the end but a request would have been better received than an insinuation seeing as we hadn't even left officially.
Overall we were very happy with the hotel and I would certainly stay here again and I would recommend to friends.

Excellent location, this is an ideal hotel for your to explore the sights and scenes in Nice and beyond. Located a short distance to tram stop and Nice Etoile Shopping Centre, this hotel is ideally located to all the sights in Nice. While there is no restaurant or bar in this hotel, there are some many around location that it wasn’t a issue. Breakfast was okay. Rooms were good size and clean. Beds will very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The only issue we had was the walls are very thin and we were woken by other doors opening and closing, people talking in the hallway and breakfast in the next room in the morning. If you want a good nights sleep or are easily woken, Probably not the place for you Everything else was lovely.

Greeted by an odd staff member who was a little too friendly/rude. Hard to describe really... Anyway, room was tiny but clean and quiet. Complementary coffee and pastries a plus and location was perfect! Pleasant stay

A Decent Option in a Pricey City

Kudos to the staff, who were very helpful and happy indeed! We also liked the hotel's location. It obviously doesn't have a view, but it's very close to everything, which is more than you can say for most moderately priced hotels in the area. The room we had was tiny, and I agree with some others that the wardrobe provided is essentially useless. I also thought the breakfast was just so-so. It was included in the price of our room, so we ate it. I wouldn't pay for it separately, however. Overall, a decent option in a city where hotel rooms tend to be very, very expensive.

This hotel has been recently redone and looks nice and modern, but we experienced several problems during our stay. I reported the issues but didn’t receive a response from management. It was very walkable to everything in Nice but if I went back I would choose to stay elsewhere.

Well located and good value.

The central location is excellent. It is a typical 3 star French hotel but in our case I would say the room was slightly larger than I would have expected and the newly refurbed bathroom was excellent. All in all very good value for money.

Great hotel, great location

Brill hotel for a 3 night stay. Very clean, comfy, stylish. Great beds, rooms and bathrooms. Friendly staff. Great location for nice as it’s in the middle of the old and new town. Really easy to get back to at night, and on a good safe route

Fantastic Location with Very Warm Hospitality

This hotel is truly located in the heart of Nice Town Centre, and within walking distance to the monorail. Think they call it the tram but it’s too advanced for that name. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and it does depict the HappyCulture “youthful” feeling. Definitely value for money and I’m happy to stay here again when I do revisit Nice. The daily afternoon tea of mini croissants, lemonade and coffee is appreciated ... can’t say no to that ... thank you.

Nice location/ poor breakfast

Located down town in a nice neighborhood. I am not sure if the staff has sufficient knowledge of English. Poor breakfast and unpleasant situation in the dining room due to the lack of not only food but also space. Modern and clean rooms with nice decoration.

Very central friendly hotel

Nice friendly hotel with elevator, about 15 mins walk from Nice Ville train station. Stayed in bunk room which wasn't too bad but not suitable for elders.

Good points, bad points.

The hotel is in a good central area close to shopping and cafes. We stayed in a family room which was on two levels, our son had the sofa bed and we had the 2 single beds on the upper level, it had modern decor and the bathroom was a good size. It could have done with a chest of drawers or wardrobe upstairs, there was plenty of room to accommodate it. The cleaning of the room wasn’t very good, one of the days our beds weren’t made but our son’s was and the bins weren’t emptied. There was also only 2 large towels left even though there was 3 of us in the room. On a more positive note we liked the complimentary water, coffee and sweets in reception.

They could easily provide a better experience

Beautifully designed small rooms, and super welcoming staff. The major issues that would keep me from booking again is the cigarette smoke wafting into our room all night and the loud front desk buzzer that sounded more like a morning alarm. I do not recommend staying on the first floor.

Excellent hotel. Great location. Fantastic service in particular Emanuel on reception. The happiest and most helpful person you could meet. Loved the balcony room and free coffee, water and pastries. Also opened a bottle of wine at reception for us when they saw we did not have a cork screw! 5 out of 5 for a 3 star hotel. Well done and would go back. A real experience of France!
