Very friendly and helpful staff. The location couldn’t be any better, few blocks from the beach and all the shops and restaurants and the main city square. Conveniently located 15 minutes walk from the Nice train station. The room was very nice and clean. The neighborhood is very nice and safe. I highly recommend this hotel.

After arriving at the hotel, the receptionist told me breakfast was not included although it was included. She took and copied my debit card as well. While sleeping in the bed I woke up itching and there was a spider in my bed ( I have the photos ). I had to wipe the floor full of dust. The was dust in the hotel and work and sawing and drilling going on. The other receptionists were nice and he confirmed there was a mistake and breakfast was included

The room had a terrible smell, coming from the bathroom. Even with the door closed, we were forced to keep the windows open, then we had to deal with mosquitoes.

Generally a good experience. But, I had a terrible experience with one individual, named Ali, at check in. In all many years of extensive travelling, I have not come c
across such a rude and arrogant desk clerk as Ali. When I asked for a little help with setting up Wi Fi, he rudely told me \"Just read the card. Haven't you used Wi Fi before?\".

When he informed me that there is a $10 per hour charge for swimming pool, I said \"I never heard of such a thing\" (which is true). He responded in the most arrogant and rude manner \"Now you have heard it for the first time , OK?\"

If these questioners mean anything, I like to hear from the hotel informing me that they have followed up with Ali.

The rest of the staff were very friendly and nice.

Hotel is in a great location for about everything and is very walkable. Hotel room is larger than most rooms we’ve experienced in the past. Only drawback at the moment is the renovation occurring in the adjacent property which has construction noise during daytime hours. Otherwise the area is quiet. We would stay here again but would definitely prefer it after construction is completed.

Definitely not worthy of 4 stars. We had booked 2 standard rooms, both smelled like sewage. We had to change rooms 3 times and asked for refund until the management offered us upgraded rooms which were much nicer and cleaner. Rooms are very mediocre and need repairs.

Very nice hotel! Rooms were spacious and even though the elevators r small they ran well and there wasnt long waits! The city is so super gorgeous! We walked to most of our spots ans restaurants! Great night life and food 💖💖💖 also they got some good coffee/breakfeast spots around too

The property was fine, but not more. There were small things wrong, like the handle in the shower was broken, but functional. The most frustrating was being charged extra for everything - you had to pay to access the pool, breakfast was quite expensive for a croissant and coffee. Also, the adjacent building is under construction, and the work started quite early. All in all it was fine, but not more than fine, and we could probably have done better for the price.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. I would give it 2 stars. The only thing it has going for it is the location. However I would prefer walking a few extra blocks for a nicer place. The rooms are really basic and inconvenient. Don’t expect much.

This is a wonderful hotel with the best, friendliest and most helpful staff. It's right in the heart of the city in walking distance to all the main sites. The rooms are very clean, roomy and with excitement facilities. Highly recommended!

Booked as it was central location and had an indoor pool. Been marketed as a 4 star but probably the standard of a travelodge UK.
Very good location however dated and the bar was very small - right next to the pool so smelled of chlorine.
Pool is tiny and you have to pay extra to use it. Not really a gym, a tiny box room with a treadmill and a few weight - which doubled up as a changing room for the swimming pool! Was slightly concerned when we had a grown man changing on the pool side when my 12 year daughter was in the pool.
Would be a ok 3 star but I think 4 star is a push.

Well located for all amenities. Only point I would make is that 19 Euro for the breakfast was a bit steep for what you recieved. Can’t comment on quality. I opted to eat out.

Heart of Nice but ageing hotel. No view at all in fact our view was the roof tops of the shops next door. No assistance with luggage or parking bay to unload. When we asked to park our car we were told no room and were directed two blocks away in city that you need to be satellite to navigate definitely not 5 star maybe 3

We did not like anything at this property - No way is it a 4 star hotel... More like 2* The room we were allocated on arrival was awful, we got moved straightaway after an argument with the unhelpful manager. The air conditioning does not even work, the shower no-one can fit in if you are 6foot or over... The cleanliness was awful, I left wrappers on the floor and they were still there when we checked out! The tv did not work at all, towels were rock hard, doors were so old they did not shut properly, and when we checked out they even tried to get us to pay for breakfast, when we were room only... We would NEVER return to this hotel

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and really wanted to help us. The property has a small bar area and you can smell chlorine in the reception area at times but it did not spoil our time at the hotel. The room was clean, modern with an excellent shower in the bathroom. The hotels position is great a short walk from the town centre and a short walk from the station. I would definitely stay here again

No AC and pool have an extra fee

We are a family of 4 coming from Denmark for the Easter break and we have never been treated so rudely in our 10 years traveling .

The ad is misleading, it says it has AC , but it’s only seasonal, we arrived almost at the end of the “winter “ season Around 21 degrees and after walking a lot we arrived to a room with no ventilation, they could have just offered me a fan right away and I would have taken it but instead they yelled at me , treat me like stupid and fight between them in French in front of me.
Some of the things said was:
- if you are hot open the window or walk outside ( window was very close to the bed and we were worried our little one could jump out of it and we just came form walking 3 hours )
- I have told you this before on the phone , so “open your ears “ because I’m going to repeat for you ...(when staying on the ad they said AC available on the hotel )
- what are you going to do about this , leave ? Good luck with that ....( when I said I was not happy with their answer)
- what do you know about what is a 4 star hotel ( when I mentioned this is not acceptable)
- I don’t care about your family or what you have on the ad ( when mentioned that for Danish standards 21 degrees is hot and the ad stated AC )
At the end they gave me a fan and told me on a sarcastic way “you are welcome “.

I never lost my temper or got angry at them , which is why I believe they believed it was ok to treat us like that .

Great location to access different areas of NIce and for public transport. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms had been refurbished since we last stayed there and are bright and fresh with welcome additions such as tea and coffee making facilities, They have retained the e excellent Fragonard toiletries. I would recommend tis hotel which is excellent value.

The only thing that I could rate less than excellent was that my room was very hot, as there is no AC.. I had to leave the door open, which also allowed street noises in, so I found it very difficult to sleep.

The hotel is not a 4 star 🌟 and no way near it .by the look of the hotel is was a 4 star in the early 90’s. I was in the room for 5 mins when I arrived , came back at 4am - slept till 10am and I checked out . The bathroom was nice , bed 🛏 was comfortable enough.
Corridors were dirty , lift wasn’t working so we had the use stairs 😞. For £80 in nice I won’t complain . The bottom line is you get what you pay for .

This hotel is extremely dirty. Pictures are very misleading and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We have staying in many different hotels all over Europe for two weeks and this was by far the worst. Viable dist , unfinished construction and over all very dingy feel and look. There are so many other options in nice for the same or lower price point. Do not waste your money here.

My recent stay in the hotel was wonderful. The location is perfect and the price was very affordable. There are many amenities all within walking distance. So if you wanted to do a little shopping, get a bite to eat or run to the supermarket you are well covered. The staff at the hotel was extremely welcoming. Mark the manager and Emi went above and beyond to help us. I highly recommend the hotel and will be revisiting when in Nice

The hotel was okay. But the pool definitely was a hazard the tiles were broken. My child ended up cutting her toe on the broken tiles in the pool. There was also no WIFI for a few days unless you were actually sitting in the lobby. Overall i would probably not stay here again, it was close to everything but the comfort level was about a 5.

Amazing place to visit

What a beautiful place....Nice. A lovely hotel with friendly staff and ideal spot for walking into the old town, around the chic shops and promenade....where people chilled in the evening with a bottle of wine on the beach. So many small streets with each turn with pastel coloured shuttered buildings. Great choice of food....French, Italian, Indian, American and of course the ice cream and sea food!! Definitely a place for a romantic break. Will be back....

The only bad comments i have is the air conditioning did not cool the room even turned down to 5° c. The wifi was terrible could not connect when i was able to, it would drop then not connect again for hours. It was not my device as i had three and the same issue for all three.

Great location, one block from the city's main shopping drag. A useful bus route stops outside. Didn't opt for breakfast. Pool was cold but hot-tub & sauna were nice. Staff welcoming & efficient. Our double room was clean, if a bit soulless. I'd happily stay here again for business or pleasure.

The hotel is in an ideal location only a 5 minute walk to the beach/promenade and right next to the main shopping area of Nice. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast but does not include any hot items so needs to be more varied.

The hotel is very central and perfect for getting around on foot or up to the train station. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that we found the room very warm but as we overlooked the back we had the window open. We would definitely stay again.

We visited Nice and blindly chose The Hotel Nice Riviera. We were very satisfied with our stay! The location of the hotel is perfect and close to all of the restaurants and tourist activities...including the Hop On Hop Off Tour Bus pick up stop. The staff was very professional and accommodating as well. The only negative I might add is the hotel could use a few upgrades on some minor things including more electrical outlets. Overall, I’d give it a big thumbs up!!

Not a bad hotel, has everything you need. It’s in a good location & you can easily walk to shops, beach, old town.
Only thing about Nice if you have a car, parking can be expensive on the streets, garage parking and hotel parking. Pool was a bit smaller than expected, looks bigger in the pictures.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff.
There was works going on but we barely heard it.
Room was cleaned daily no matter what time we left the room.
Bed was very comfy.
Reception smells of chlorine from the pool but the levels in the pool were good. Would definitely recommend.

Okay for the money!

The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The spa is a token effort with a small pool and portable jacuzzi. It was full of children when we went to use it so we turned away.
There is a lot of noise in the morning with furniture being moved around by maids.
The location was great and value for money.

Centrally located in Nice but not a Spa Hotwl

The hotel was very well located for seeing central Nice and the Promenade des Anglais. Also close to the tram service. The hotel was comfortable without being exceptional. There was a mixture of relatively new refurbishment and fairly dowdy decor such as bathroom tiling. Housekeeping was excellent but the absence of a do not disturb sign and a door peephole into the corridor and door safety chain detract from the feeling of privacy and security. The staff were very helpful especially when we were very badly let down by the airport transfer company being 25 minutes late in picking us up for our home bound flight. Staff at reception phoned them to find out what was happening - otherwise we might still be waiting! I had arranged this through Expedia and this aspect is really disappointing. You really need to contact me to account for this!!!
The swimming pool and Spa was particularly overstated and , I would say, misleadingly represented in the advertising and photographs. Definitely NOT 4 star. It was also quite strange that a 4 star hotel has no restaurant. Also, on checking out there was an attempt to charge me for 2 breakfasts which I had not taken, my accommodation being room only. This was dropped agreeably quickly when I pointed out the error but it was still disturbing that an error like this occurred - either by maladminiistration or through someone being able to use my room number unchallenged.
