We returned to Nice because we had such a wonderful stay at the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel two years ago. This experience made that an excellent decision. The hotel manager was gracious, showed us extraordinary service, and attended to every need. The staff was attentive, and the room and its appointments were among the best we've ever stayed in the world. I have no reservations in recommending this fine location to anyone looking for a respite in the middle of a gorgeous city, with the location optimal, the dining exquisite, the hotel management impeccable, and the experience exceeding all expectations.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Anantara Nice! Every staff member was incredibly courteous, kind, and helpful, and special recognition to the housekeeping staff who helped make the space welcoming in the day and comforting in the evenings. Everyone was always pleasant and upbeat, making it an excellent place to stay. My spa experience was amazing too, with thoughtful guidance on using the amenities and a fantastic massage by Carla. Highly recommend!
I will add that I had one mildly rude conversation with a hostess in the restaurant, however, this was nothing compared to how tremendous the rest of the stay was.

The rooms themselves were exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and surprisingly quiet despite the festive market below. Daily housekeeping was perfectly timed, and the evening turndown service—complete with more sweet treats—was always a delight. The small in-room touches made everything feel elevated: a heated towel rack, umbrella, tea and coffee maker, a well-stocked minibar with snacks, two bottles of water replenished daily, a wonderfully comfortable bed, Chromecast for streaming, intuitive lighting, and plenty of outlets including USB ports.

Breakfast was included with our stay, and it was consistently excellent. The buffet offered a generous spread of French pastries, meats, fruits, cereals, and hot options like bacon, sausage, and eggs. You could also order a fresh Benedict, along with coffee or tea. The service each morning was friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable: steps away from high-end shopping, excellent restaurants, the beach, the casino, and several museums. It’s the kind of place where staying 7–10 days feels not only reasonable but ideal if you want to experience everything Nice has to offer.

The property is acceptable and I would rate it as a 4-star hotel. The breakfast staff were not well trained, and the breakfast service was slow. The hotel is not very modern; however, it is conveniently located close to major attractions and the old town.

Unfortunately, we were given a room next to the street, which was noisy at night. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, but it does not meet the standards of a five-star hotel.

View from restaurant and bar is very nice, the room balcony on 4th floor pretty good too. Staff are wonderfully attentive, even as a lone traveller made to feel important and house keeping excellent. The spa is brilliant, had 2 massages over 2 night stay, one of the most relaxing ever.

My stay at the Anantara Nice Hotel had its highs and lows. The service was truly outstanding—every staff member, including the bellman, was exceptionally courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Their professionalism and warmth were a highlight of the trip.

However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. On one occasion, my ring fell under the bed, and when I looked to retrieve it, I was shocked to find the area absolutely disgusting, caked with dust and dirt. It was clear that this part of the room had not been properly cleaned in some time. To make matters worse, I developed congestion and a sore throat during my stay, and the dusty conditions in the room certainly didn’t help my recovery.

While the service was impeccable, the lack of cleanliness in the room significantly detracted from the overall experience. I hope the hotel addresses these housekeeping issues to match the excellence of their staff.

Staff was beyond PHENOMENAL…..!! Every single staff person we encountered or met at the hotel was amazing….!! We stayed in a junior suite and unfortunately booked during Jazz Fest, so our room was too noisy to watch TV…….let alone try to sleep. The room was clean and lovely, but for the price the junior suite did not seem worth it - no perks or sitting area and didn’t even have slippers or body lotion….pretty sparse and minimal .
Again, the staff were AMAZING, but mildly surprised that there was no offer by management of some sort of perk, such as a free drink, since it was IMPOSSIBLE to sleep until well after midnight due to the jazz/rock concert going on in our room…..

This hotel is good but majorly overpriced. For €500 a night you would expect a decent buffet and not the small offering that they have. Customers must pay a €200 deposit on arrival which shoes they don’t trust their guests. Extra €25 to just use the sauna is outrageous considering the room rate. Hotel has no pool which is very disappointing. Service of the restaurant on the top floor was chaotic at breakfast. Poor English was spoken and orders were incorrect. Felt disorganised and the staff were not well trained.

From the moment I arrived, the attentive staff at Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel made my stay truly exceptional. The bellman’s genuine concern that my Uber didn’t drop me directly in front of the hotel showed a level of hospitality that instantly set the tone for an incredible experience.

Check-in was private, seamless, and refreshingly welcoming, complete with a delightful drink and cookies —a thoughtful touch that immediately made me feel at ease.

The room itself was a masterpiece of comfort and elegance immaculately clean, well-arranged, and designed to enhance relaxation. Housekeeping maintained impeccable standards, ensuring a consistently polished and serene environment throughout my stay.

One of the most breathtaking features was the balcony overlooking the sea—an absolute dream! Waking up to the stunning views and the calming presence of the Mediterranean was an unforgettable highlight!

Lunch at the rooftop restaurant, was amazing with excellent food and beautiful scenery!

The hotel’s atmosphere was peacefully quiet allowing for a truly restful retreat, yet it sat in the heart of an unbeatable location. Just steps away from high-end shopping, vibrant bars, incredible restaurants, and the beach! It offered the perfect balance of luxury and accessibility.

Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel seamlessly combines thoughtful hospitality, elegant accommodations and an ideal location. I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to my next stay!

Lovely - a few glitches needs work

This is a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We have stayed at Anantara hotels before and we would gladly come back. However - there were a few issues that need work: our rom wasn't ready at check in time (it happens) and they gave us complimentary coupon for cocktails at rooftop. For 30 min we tried to get decide and could not. There were only a small handful of people up there. Eventually our room became ready and we left. Similarly upstairs , we had the buffet an and ordered a Colette and another dish and after 45 miner left. The brunch was wonderful - the next day all went as planned. One more glitch... we had massage treatments - when we went to relaxation area after it was quite messy... towels all over a half eaten apples etc. the locker room was a bit disheveled as well. Note: arriving at the hotel by car is tricky .... it's hard to see the entrance - it's very narrow smoked glass window with a sign faintly printed - and all the valet cars are blocking it - we had to circle around again to find it.

We like the Anantara brand and have stayed in a few of their hotels.
This was just a one night stay.
Lovely warm welcome at reception with refreshing drink, much appreciated.
Nice room, with upgrade (as offered with hotels.com Platinum membership) - Thankyou!
We were excited to have a pre-dinner cocktail on the rooftop terrace. There were lots of empty tables in the small area outdoors but the staff said they were only for people with restaurant reservations and we were only allowed to sit inside. Disappointed so we left and enjoyed a drink on a warm evening at one of the numerous bars/restaurants in old town with extensive outdoor seating and lovely atmosphere.

Location & Style

A luxurious hotel close to the old town of Nice and promenade. Whilst the hotel was excellent in terms of its decor and location, our room (deluxe room grand) felt a bit small, and at the price point did not feel like good value.

The room had a very small balcony overlooking the side street. To one side it was possible to see the sea, but with just enough space for two tiny stools, the balcony felt too small to use meaningfully. The bathroom was luxuriously fitted but again felt a little small the way the shower door opened and how some items were positioned. The aircon wasn’t great.

The rooftop breakfast was excellent with fantastic, panoramic views. The staff were very welcoming.

There is a stylish lounge area to relax in behind the reception area, which is quite easy to miss. They now serve hot drinks there Mon-Fri.

The building is large and impressive but the entrance to the hotel is a small doorway between high-end shops so quite easy to miss. Lots of welcoming doormen though, which added to the feeling of discretion and security.

This is a high quality hotel, well located near the centre of town with sea views and directly adjacent to the luxury shopping area. Trams and trains were easily accessible and you could walk around most the city area.
The only small niggle was that the staff were super friendly but not everything came off.
the breakfast service was a bit patchy. lots of people around but not well organised.

Jr suite was very nice, we were upgraded to ocean view, note the balconies are tiny and basically unusable but pretty. The breakfast on the roof is superb, food and view. this hotel is singularly the worst 'new' hotel we have ever stayed in. yes, it is that bad. the hotel itself is charmless. the rooms are ordinary and non-descript. the furniture is cheap and tacky. the hotel is brand new but is already showing signs of real wear due to the very cheap , completely low quality materials used to build it: the cheap composition wood floors are scratched throughout; the cheap paint job is already peeling off the walls. everything is from the furniture choices, to the bath products are cheesy and low quality.
we got an 'ocean view' room on a high floor. we were told it was quiet. it was anything but. the hotel is located on a main city street and the noise was deafening day and night. we complained to the manager who actually came to the room to hear the roaring traffic and motorcycles herself. she brushed it off and said 'well this is a hotel in a city, what do you expect\"? for the price we were paying for a room, this is by no means an acceptable answer.
we had booked the room for 3 night. we had such a TERRIBLE AWFUL experience in this claustrophobic, noisy, cheap garbage of a room that we simply left after the first night. we had asked for some sort of price concession and management refused.
stay clear of this dump at all costs. disgusting and offensive..

Great hotel but in an extremely noisy area

The rooms are beautifully decorated, but for the price of a room with a terrace, the noise from the parks across is so loud until 11 pm that enjoying it in peace is impossible. Also, the noise from the furniture moving above the 5th floor (where the most expensive rooms are located) starts at 6 am as they prepare for breakfast. Also, there is NO POOL.
We also stayed at a room with a balcony which is so minuscule that you pretty much cannot use it.
For the high price we paid, I expected a much better experience.

This hotel is modern and nice. Staff is great! However i paid extra for a “sea view” room not partial sea view room and my room had zero sea view. I was on the 3rd floor and was only able to see trees. Actually this hotel shouldn't even advertise “sea view” because i feel the only place where you can actually see the ocean is from the bar on the 6th floor. There are other hotels in the area less expensive with a much better view. Wouldn't stay here again.

We loved everything about this hotel and will stay there again. The service is excellent, the rooms are lovely, the breakfast buffet is amazing, and we capped each day with a drink at the rooftop bar. Such fun bartenders!!! Great view of old town and the sea.
