Their website said they offer free cancellation within 48 hours of the stay. I haf to change my travel plans MONTHS before my stay. I requested a cancellation and they DENIED me! This is illegal. More than $400. What kind of horrible people would do this? You need to give me my money back, this is theft, nothing more.

A bit deceiving for an hostel. It is mostly an hotel with some hostel features.

I am expecting staff to invite people for games, gathering, promote their tours and expeditions. We had to ask about those which is unusual for hostels. We visited multiples hostels in different countries and it felt flat limit depressing in common areas.

Also, hostels are not a place for families with babies and elder people (70yo+) they have no place there.

It’s well positioned but felt short on expectations.

I booked a 4 beds dom but assigned to a 6 beds dom without notice, it was a 4 beds room but they add additional beds to accommodate more people in case of business booming, that makes the room filled with beds and no space for chairs and other amenities. Other 2 guests were treated same, we paid more for 4 beds dom but got a 6 dom, plus very poor room condition, no shower door / curtain, no linens, you need bring your own. The 6 beds dom just sits by elevators and stairs, it’s very noisy, it’s also back to the street. They changed more than others as better condition,

I booked a ‘One Bed in a Coed Dorm Room 5 beds’ at Villa Saint Exupéry Beach Hostel but the hostel gave me a three bunk bed (six people) room.

The picture of the room I booked on Hotels.com was two bunk bed (four people) plus one single bed (one person), so it was a room used by a total of five people.

I asked the hostel to change it to the room which I initially reserved
but the hostel told me, \"the room had been given to someone else\"
and they told me to complain to Hotels.com

I do not condone this breach of the hostel’s contract
because the room used by 5 people and the room used by 6 people are different in size and rates.

I have made a reservation through Hotels.com one month before I arrived at the hostel but the hostel gave the room to someone else for higher rates.
So this hostel is making money is a dishonest way and misleading customers

They did not even apologize to me for breaking the contract
and they were very rude to me.

Therefore, I looked for other hostels but they were all full
and it was in the middle of the night, so I could not move to another hostel.

I traval around the world every month so I have a lot of experience staying at different location and hostels/hotels
However this is the first time I have come across a hostel/hotel which is just dishonest.

If the hostel does not sort out this issue properly for their breach of contract then I will report them to the department of Nice, France.

Stayed in a private room, very clean. Nice shared dining area with kitchen. Cute seating area as shown in pictures. Clothes washing facilities were by staff only and cost €15. Had noisy construction outside when we stayed and could hear lots of door slamming. Overall really nice place

Overall the hostel is really close to the center of Nice. I found the bathroom to be spacious the other guests were quiet. It was clean and the staff was accommodating. The one issue I had was when I locked the bathroom it was a struggle to unlock. This was really nice for an affordable acommodations.

The lounging area is pretty nice at first glance but they need new bedding and sofas because they are tearing, old, and dirty. I was talking to one of the girls at the desk about the wifi going out and another white worker jumped in and rudely told me it would take about 2/3 business days to fix. I said well we should get compensation because I paid good money for my room and to not have wifi is an inconvenience. She said there’s nothing we can do about that. I talked to the manager who visits on site and he was able to get it fixed by the end of the night so what was her problem? They dont provide towels on the floor after you shower which is a hazard because people walk around with wet shoes after they shower. There was a bad smell on one of the beds above me for 2 nights. I think someone complained and they switched the beds. They arent doing well to upkeep the facility, yet they are expensive to stay at. Its only convenient if you want to be right near the beach. They need to work on making their workers happier so they arent taking out their frustration on the people staying at the hostel. Every time you ask a question its like youre interrupting the worker. If there was another close hostel Id stay there but theres not many options.

this was my 2nd time staying at this hostel and i absolutly, love it the facilty is amazing it has everything from a kitchen where its very clean , you can prepare your own meals if like, they offer breakfast in the morning for a small fee, the place it self is very cool alot of great areas to lounge, study or do your work on the computer, lil library upstair, the location is great and the staff is very helpful and lovely...

i stayed in roo 46 the first time which sleeps 6 and it was great, this visit room 204 with 10 ppl and it was good also.... I highly recommend this hostel it was great... only negative i have to say is that this bathroom needs a bit more deep cleaning done to it ... other than that its great place. for solo traveler, families or with friends the energy and vibes are great...

We had a great experience my daughter and I ...upon checkin to check out... the staff at checkin was so accomadating because when we booked thinking we were in the same room but wasn't and she made it possible which made my daughter stay 100 percent better :)
The location is amazing, shops, dining, the walk to the beach in 5 mins away , transportation... is just an amazing location for everything.... we stayed for three days and it was cleaned everyday... the breakfast was good overall we would stay again when if in Nice...

Loved my stay here! Reception and service staff were very helpful and gave great recommendations on what to see/do. They also hosted free walking tours and bar crawls with surrounding hostels. In the hostel itself, there are lots of communal spaces but also secluded areas to work/study. Would highly recommend!

TLDR: As a single female traveller, I did not feel safe staying at this hostel, even in a private room.

Pros: comfy bed, spacious and updated bathroom

Cons: security and cleanliness

My first night I was woken up by someone trying to get into my room. When they heard me moving inside they tried harder, to the point where I was holding the door in case the lock broke. The secondary physical lock was broken on my door, and when I asked the front desk they said that is the case for most rooms. I could not call the hotel as I only had wifi and no phone in the room. I stayed quiet for 2 hours waiting for someone else to leave their room. I am not sure what this person was trying to do, but regardless I did not trust the lock in the door to hold if someone really tried to break it.

They have 24/7 security but that doesn’t help much when the private rooms are in a separate building from the main hostel and you can’t contact them.

I checked out first thing in the morning and was told I was not able to get a refund for the remainder of my stay because it was through Expedia. Front desk staff were nice enough but I did not feel comfortable moving to another room after experiencing the security measures in place.

I would not recommend this hotel for single travelers.

Bien situé dans une petite rue mais très bruyant : travaux dans l'immeuble d'à côté, chambre qui donne sur la rue, on peut entendre les fumeurs sur le trottoir mais surtout le retour des gens qui ont fait la tournée des bars, sans compter la musique qui provient du bar que l'on entend du 2étage.
L'eau du lavabo a une odeur assez forte.
Dans les chambres mixtes, un rideau au lit ne serait pas du luxe.

Avoid - you get far less than you pay for

Lets start with the positives, the area is great. And the soundproofing within the hostel is good. Thats about it. I travel a lot, i stay in everything from hostels to fancy hotels. This is somewhere I'd never return to. I get it, F1 weekend, everywhere is sold out. However, when you book a 4 bed room, there should only be 4 beds in there - not 5. Communication with staff shocking, no one knew anything and the managers offer of a free crappy breakfast for 1 day when I have Nice on the doorstep is unacceptable customer service. A refund for at least one night would be the least I would expect. You are overselling a product - and not a very good one. I have stayed in a lot of hostels all over the world. The quality of this one is one of the worst. Rickety metal frame beds, no privacy cutains etc. No individual lights. 4 broken and busted up lockers - for 5 people I hasten to add. The photos do not represent what this place is selling. I don't think I've ever left such a negative review of a place. Such a shame as it could be so much better. Like I say, the location was excellent.

Very good location in central Nice.
We chose this place for NYE to be able to meet people and were not disappointed by the organized bar crawl. This is definitely the hostels for party goers. We had a private room so cleanings was good but from what I saw in communal showers and toilet, cleaning is not the best.
The condition of the shower and the room was not great and work needs to be done in the rooms.

Great stay in beautiful Nice.

A perfect location, a clean room and great service. We truly enjoyed staying this place. We got a private room with en suite bathroom. We love to come back again. We used a shared kitchen. We enjoyed talking to people from all over the world. 24 hour reception was great. Our flight delayed and we got to here at midnight but our room was there, it was easy check in. Kind service made us feel so welcomed. There is a cleaning staff who works all day always cleaning. They keep this place really clean. We booked a private room so bath towels were included. They didn't charged us anything and we didn't need to pay for a deposit for the keys either.
As you see our room was updated and clean, pretty spacious room and a good size bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped. Three microwave ovens. I didn't see an oven toaster or a toaster. But it has an full size oven. The breakfast looked good. We had own breakfast so we didn't try theirs but all looked pretty good. This place is next to the bus stops and the tram stop.

This was a downgrade for us from a hotel who couldn’t support our need for a late check in. We ended up having to pay more for fewer stars and fewer amenities. Still, for a hostel, It could have been cleaner. There was a bowl of half eaten pasta under my bed.The beds were not particularly comfortable and the sheets and covers were pilled and worn. There was something wrong with the motion sensor for the bathroom light so it stayed on all night long. These things aside, The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was quite good.

The hostel is in a great location near the old town, but the hostel as a whole felt dated and old. Also, most of the refurbished ensuites looked in a pretty battered state. As this was my second hostel stay in Nice, I can definitely recommend Hotel Ozz near the train station as they have privacy curtains and generally better condition of the hostel I definitely preferred staying at Hotel Ozz.

Check-in was supposed to start at 3pm, but it took longer because the room hadn't been cleaned. The shower drains worked really really badly, they smelled and were full of hair. There was air conditioning in the room but it didn't really work. The mold smells and this caused many people sleeping in the same room to get sore throats.
I never coming back…

J’ai beaucoup aimé l’ambiance de l’hostel et les commodités offertes sur place (service de lavage, cuisine commune, espace de coworking et bar sur place entre autres). Toutefois, les aires communes auraient pu être plus propres (douches salles, odeurs désagréables dans la chambre). Il aurait pu y avoir aussi de l’huile végétale, et du sel et poivre offerts aux voyageurs dans la cuisine pour éviter d’en acheter (ce sont des basics à mon avis).

Rooms have no towels in them so you are provided with them before getting into your room. We were not given the vouchers for the breakfast at the moment of the check in. We were asked by them in the middle of the breakfast when we did n not even know we had to have them at hand… Quite embarrassing… the ladies at the front desk are not the best ones in terms of customer oriented personnel… breakfast was ok. Private rooms should be equipped with TV screens…no soap in the bathroom (quite bad). I would not recommend this hotel…

Séjour correct dans l’ensemble. Cependant, les serviettes sont écrites comme étant incluses dans les équipements des chambres partagées, hors ce n’est pas le cas, il faut les payer 7€ l’unité.
