It was a great hotel. We were eatly for the check in and the staff offered ys voffee and snacks and a place to relax. Also the breakfast which was extra was one of the best we had. It included a woderful srlecrion of breads, charcuterie and home baked goods as well as freshly squeezed juice.

Maybe I got really unlucky, but wow was this a terrible stay. First, my room smelled like body odor and diapers. I left the window open for a while and it still didn’t go away. Also the hot water wasn’t working - maybe that was a hotel issue or maybe something in the area, so maybe it wasn’t their fault. The drain in the shower didn’t work so it flooded the bathroom and seeped into the room when I took a fast, cold shower. The TV barely worked. The air conditioning wasn’t strong even when I put it on full blast.

I booked the hotel last minute and it was a cheap option. I wasn’t expecting much but this was even worse than my basic expectations.

The girls working the front desk were lovely and helpful and very friendly. They deserve a 10/10. But the room itself was garbage.

Very lovely staff! Anna, Fadha, forgive me for not remembering all your names! Had a larger room on 5 th floor. Elevator stops at 4 th floor- have to carry up from 4 th but no big deal for us. Nice breakfast daily. Staff were quick to resolve any needs/ shortcomings. Location good- right next to grocery store. Fahda gave good recommendations for French restaurant. Would stay here again.

The room was great. We had an amazing view of Main Street. It was warm in the room as the AC had not been in service yet since it’s only spring. Normally we would open the window, however just outside the balcony there was construction in the road. Jack hammers began working after dark. The front desk was very helpful with our needs. We walked to laundromat one day. It was safe, close, and clean. We went to Monaco another day. Train is very close and convenient. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent location, next to a vibrant shopping/dining boulevard for walking and only trams. The room size is a bit smaller but that's expected in France. The breakfast spread was awesome with lots of pastries and other options. Will definitely stay again.

The property is in terrible shape. Stains on carpets, scratched, dirty furniture, ceiling tiles missing. The staff do a good job cleaning, it is just the overall decrepit state of the property. The hotel is in a noisy part of town, with windows overlooking a side street populated with the homeless and with smell from the garbage dumpsters sometimes perceptible in the room. Screams in the middle of the night, both from inside the hotel as well as from the street. The price for this hotel is very high given its state and it is not competitive for Nice. Beware, they have a few rooms on the other side of the hotel which are in better shape and overlook the front of the hotel (people have probably left good reviews for these). This is the first time I have written a review for a hotel, but I thought I need to write it given the state of this property and the prices charged.

We lovwd staying here. Staff are all so so nice and helpfu, Ana, Fadha, Mariah, Sorayah and Natasha. Thabk you so much for everything. Hotel is very clean and pretty. Just remember the room size is not your typical american hotel room but managable lol. Location is amazing close to everything. 10 min walk to train station. 15 min walk to the beach. All the shopes and gallerie Lafayette in walkable 5 to 10 min distance. Perfect overall. Defenetly recommended place to stay in Nice. Such a beautiful city 😍

It's a nice hotel in a good location. We had a room with balcony which was a nice addition. There is a big supermarket right across. There is a breakfast option for an extra fee (lots of options). Parking is tiny (6 cars) and hard to get into. There is a street parking (Sunday is free although they old us something different at the reception). We asked them for a thermometer and they had one which was nice. One thing I did not like is internet -- reception was absolutely terrible. When we were moving out, I mentioned it and was told that I should have reported it and they do have another backup to use. Too bad I did not know about it the whole week that we stayed there.

Very friendly staff, great location. We got a fairly big room for our family, which was great. Things smelled a bit moldy because the shower had clearly leaked into the hall carpet before we arrived. If you are traveling by car, parking may be a problem, only few spots available in front of the hotel, otherwise it's street parking or underground city garage. Best Western Hôtel Lakmi Nice was absolutely the perfect choice for my husband and my 4-night stay in Nice. We wanted somewhere walkable to the Nice-Ville train station as well as the Promenade des Anglais and we chose this hotel for a combination of location, room choices, and price. The hotel is also an easy tram ride from the airport and right by all the other metro options and we felt safe in the area even late at night. The entire staff was extremely nice, helpful, and professional and our room couldn’t have been more comfortable. We opted for a room with an outside balcony and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evenings while watching the activity below. We appreciated the questionnaire we received in advance of our arrival from Sarah Jeanroy asking if there was anything she could help us with or arrange for during our stay. She sent us a list of restaurants based on our preferences which we put to good use. It was a nice touch. After spending our days exploring Nice and taking various day trips on the train, we always looked forward to settling into our comfortable room for an excellent night’s sleep. Beware that there is a tram line right outside of the hotel which could be heard in our room, but the tram doesn’t run all night and the windows are double-paned, so the tram bell didn’t bother us. Remember, you’re in the city with city noises, but everything is so convenient and it’s part of the experience. We were thrilled with Hôtel Lakmi and would absolutely stay

After our 12 day cruise, my husband and I had an overnight stay before flying back home to the U.S. The staff was amazingly helpful. The hotel was just a few blocks from the promenade and only a block from the tram we took to the airport. We were able to buy our tram tickets from the front desk at face value with no surcharge. This was a great convenience and a very nice touch. The room was clean and comfortable with a cute balcony. The only thing I would change is the pillows. They were square, small, and a bit flat. That was a very minor note for an otherwise perfect stay. Thanks again for the great stay and very helpful staff!

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Nice for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality provided by this hotel. Coming from the US, Best Western doesn’t have the strong brand reputation…but this place completely changed my view.

Location was perfect - 8 mins walk from the train station and located right on the Main Street with access to the tram. There is a small parking lot in front of the hotel which makes loading/unloading easy.

The staff was amazing - friendly and helpful. They surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco and desserts for our anniversary celebration. We were able to enjoy the present on our balcony watching the city transform itself into the evening.

The room was small - but it is on par with the hotels in France so far. The shower was really nice with the rainfall design but I only wished that there were some shelves inside the shower.

Breakfast buffet was another highlight with the freshly squeezed Orange juice! I definitely got enough vitamin C during my stay.

The hotel was well kept with a lounge area in the lobby for all day coffee/tea. There was only one small elevator for 5 floors, so we took advantage of the stairs next to it whenever we get.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Nice!

Staff always willing to handle your questions in a very positive manner and really wanted us to enjoy our Nice adventure. Once you got used to the church bells and tram noise (usually quiet after 2300hrs to 0600hrs), it is centrally located to many areas of interest. Nice is a walking city as we did up to 21,000 steps on some days but as little as 12,500 on the lower end. Again this hotel has great staff from the front desk, to the room attendants to the brakfast staff, all first rate!

I highly recommend staying at Hotel Lakmi! It’s in a great location with shops and restaurants around and an easy walk to the beach and Old Nice. The balcony views were wonderful, the room was very clean and I have to say that the staff was absolutely incredible. We came for our honeymoon/anniversary and they made sure we had everything we needed. Loan checked us in and she was amazing with suggestions and so helpful! I’m not sure where to begin, so let’s start with the positive…. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast room was nice and there was enough variety to satisfy most everyone.
When we arrived at the hotel I had a look at the room before checking in, it was very small so we asked the desk person to inquire about an upgrade. Since it was late in the evening we thought we would hear back the next day.
Both the Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes film festival were on, and it was busy, however there was no response to our request either way and I wasn’t about to remind them.
The bed was too short, I’m 6’2” and my feet hung off the end of the bed, very uncomfortable.
The rooms are non-smoking, however it doesn’t stop people from smoking on their room balconies. If you have your windows open for fresh air you may not get it!
The hotel location is at the corner of a very busy street, if you choose to have your windows open at night be prepared for the noise.
The bath towels need to be checked for holes. Some of the towels were so thin they ripped well being used.
The last thing is the toilet, not something I usually write about in a review. The seat had been replaced but was incompatible with the toilet, hence it slid from side to side making it very uncomfortable!!
Unfortunately neither the staff or general manager as nice as they were could make up for the inadequacies of the property.
We spent ten nights here.

Pros: Good location, right in the city centre. Shops as well as good restaurants at a stone's throw. Pleasant and helpful reception staff who go out of their way. Train station about 7 minutes walk. Not expensive.
Cons: Thin walls, poor noise insulation. The city centre can get noisy on weekend nights, disturbing sleep.

It was my annual birthday treat. With our surprise, we had a very warm welcome with lovely cakes, small gifts and a birthday card on our arrival. That made both me and my partner feel so happy and we were glad to choose this hotel to stay all 4nights of our trip. I suddenly had to leave after 2nights with family emergency but I was told later that they had looked after my partner very well who stayed behind. Good value hotel.

Easy to reach from the airport on the No.2 tram and only costs €1.50 or €10 for a ticket of 10 journeys. Hotel is situated in the shopping area and a 10 minute walk to the beach.
Rooms were quite small but very clean with all we needed for our stay. Breakfast was included in our rate and there were choices of fruit juice, cereals, breads and pastries, eggs, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The only problem we had was the WiFi which was unreliable and kept on cutting out.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again if we came back to Nice

the hotel was in a central position perfectly located for all areas of Nice. Staff were brilliant and the hotel itself immaculate. The bedrooms were perfectly adequate and bathroom facilities good. However I have two criticisms, both we communicated to the Reception. Breakfast was a complete and utter shambles. there was no room to move in the breakfast rooms and everyone was queuing for the food which was constantly running out. Yes we went at probably the busy periods for two days but we were on holiday and didn't want to have breakfast at 7 am. On our last day we did go for breakfast at 7 am. this time there was nothing ready and the hot food didn't come out until 7 30. If breakfast starts at 7 am everything should be available at 7. The coffee/tea machines were taking it in turns not to work. The other criticism was the complimentary tray in the bedrooms were not replenished daily. We took our own tea bags and coffee but each evening on our return we would have to ask for milk. One of our party came home on Saturday night to find the tray had been completely removed from their room. Small criticisms but if addressed would make my review go from good to excellent.

It was really nice. Would have liked a bigger room but it all worked out. As for the parking fees E20 a night was not happy with that.

Good choice for stay in Central Nice

A good hotel choice for visiting Nice. Close tram stop to hotel from airport.
Hotel exception staff friendly and fluent in English. Fresh and welcoming entrance. Elevator can only take three passengers at a time. Room on 4 Th floor was small but comfortable. Able to sit out side on balcony to enjoy morning coffee with city view.

We checked into this hotel last minute at 11pm when our Airbnb cancelled on us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We then left our bags at the hotel for a few hours to sightsee even though we checked out of the hotel. I would absolutely recommend this hotel based on their service alone!!

Superb location

Small but clean room however, the location was fantastic and the main reason for my stay. 5 min walk to the train station and a 10-15 min stroll to the beach. Loved my stay!

Worst hotel i have ever stayed in. It was so small i could not unock or move around my soiled lumpy bed. I will never use Expedia again or stay at Best Western hotel. The room floor sloled at a 45o angle and the door didnt fit. Not soundproofed.
Do not contact me again ever!
