Check in staff were fantastic and location of hotel was ideal just off the Main Street. Did leave hotel with multiple bits and reported this to staff. We’re sone unexplained eggs and what looked like bugs on sheets. I was assured after check out this was checked and was told if was mosquitos in February. Asked several times via email to clarify bedding no actual response was given on this.

The location is less than I expected and the room was less than I expected as well.

It does not look comfortable as you see from the main photo. The room is rather small and a bit dark. The elevator is too small. The staffs are fair but they are not super friendly.

The staff were friendly. The room was clean and sufficiently spacious for our need. It contained a kettle, frdge.

The kitchen was clean and had a good breakfast selection. Drinks are available from the kitchen till 6pm.

The only issue with the room was the overhead showhead and water would not stay in the basin. Additional pillows can be requested, if tequired.

The area is quiet but within 10 minute walk of shopping area and the tram stops.

My room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious by French standards. The staff on the front desk were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, if a little pricey (it’s an expensive city). Proximity to the railway station and trams was really useful. Only slight negatives were that area around hotel is a bit deserted at night, although I never felt unsafe, and noise in the corridors carried a lot when people went to and from their rooms during the night. I used earplugs after first night and slept very well.

This property should not have ever turned into a hotel. The property consists of two buildings. Most rooms are in the adjacent building. If you have heavy luggage’s, you will have to take the elevator to the next floor, there you will have to negotiate stairs to get to the next building. The rooms are too small for the price. Showers, sinks and bathrooms are substandard. The location is not great, but it is not too bad. The only positive experience I had was with the helpful staff at the front desk. But I will never stay in this hotel again.

Loved our stay. Very comfortable beds, modern bathrooms that are clean and working AC which is convenient to have if you’re visiting in the summer. Also very centrally located and you can travel around easily with the tram stops and Nice Ville train station only 5 mins away.

The location is great—close to the beach, museums, public transport, and the train station. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was genuinely kind and helpful. They even provide beach towels, which is a nice touch (though they could use replacing).

That said, the hotel needs a facelift. Our first room smelled strongly of mold; the second was better, but still not great. The carpets hadn’t been well cleaned, we saw bugs, and the sink water had a sewage smell. Bathrooms were extremely cramped. With some updates, this could be a much better stay

We liked the hotel and the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate us. When the elevator didn't work and I couldn't walk down the stairs the last day of our stay, all hands were there to help. I stayed at the hotel a lot since I got sick during the stay and the staff was very helpful in letting my family and friends visit me. Loved the bed. My husband wishes the shower were a little bigger.

Located 8 minutes walk from gare de Nice. Great roof top terrace. Confortable bed and friendly staff. Room was clean and had all I needed just not the wifi be sure to ask they forget to tell me and I didn’t ask. Stayed for 2 nights only. Doors are extremely loud when closing and opening, it’s heavy and slams which woke me up from the neighbour. Other than that no other noise detected. A pleasant stay.

Hotel was a 5 minute walk from the train station. Neighborhood did not feel safe so we always came back before dark. Staff was friendly. We were given a great recommendation to eat close by the staff “Cote burger”. Rooftop at the hotel had amazing views. We had our dinner there every night. Wifi was terrible. Overall not too shabby.

Nice is nice. We were only in the city for 20 hours, but when (not if) we return, we'll definitely be staying at Hotel Byakko Nice! The staff at the desk were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and the room was clean and spacious. It's close to the train station and tram stops, which makes it a very convenient hotel as well.

The hotel staff was so accommodating and friendly which is why I like boutique hotels. They tend to focus on the customers more because they can do to not having an overwhelming amount of people staying. However, my room was ok but my bathroom was very dated. The surroundings areas outside was a little sketchy at night and sometimes during the day. I think Nice is really just a dirty place. Please consider this hotel is in the City Center, so that comes with high foot traffic as well as automobile traffic. As a result, you will notice trash everywhere as well as cigarette buds in front of the hotel. At night time, the receptionist has a push button entrance to let you inside the building. I’m assuming this is for safety and to keep the homeless people out. Overall, the stay was ok.

The hotel itself is great and in a good location. Easy 20 minute walk to Old Town and the beach, and 5 minutes to the train station for day trips out of the city. Bring earplugs though. The walls are thin and we had trouble sleeping between the street noise and fellow guests coming and going in the hallway.

The staff and the facilities are excellent. There was some construction underway in the hotel but they handled it well. Complimentary croissants, coffee and juice was a really nice touch to compensate for the construction disruption in normal breakfast operation. The only negative and the reason for a four star rating was the lack of consistent WIFI. In spite of this, I would highly recommend this hotel.

misrepresented:no laundry on site, no breakfast buffet, no luggage cart,no help with luggage specifically a young man watched me load my heavy luggage and made no offer to help. i am 75 and capable, but i found his lack of concern unacceptable! the female staff especially Lyna were very professional. parking was horrible. room was hardly big enough to turn around. no luggage stands. one plastic stool; no chairs! also a black young woman that delivered breakfast was extremely professional. the only reason we didn’t leave was because of the female staff. there was no area to eat breakfast. pictures of the facility showed a large commercial washing machine, a dining room with many chairs,a buffet breakfast, a large bedroom,a rooftop lounge, and many more misrepresentations. never again!

We have deluxe double at the new section so it is clean and newer. We paid $10 euro extra to get the private big terrance and it is well worth it! Adds so much more room to our space. We use it every day so I highly recommend it. The staff is very nice.
One thing I want to say is the faucet is small and low to the sink so it is awkward to use the sink.

Its a small hotel with little rooms! The rooms are clean and small! The staff are nice and helpful and answered all our inquiries about the area and the trips! Its near medicine street and 5-8 min walk to train station! 15 min walk to the promenade which at the end of the medicine street! Didnt like the little flies around breakfast food and even outside the hotel! in kfc… i don't know if its a normal thing in Nice! Medicine street is busy touristic street so nice during the day! But didn't feel too safe walking late night from the train station to the hotel! No-one bother us but there was homeless and drunk people didnt feel too comfort!

Last minute booking on a busy Friday night in Nice where I wanted to be close to the train station - which the hotel is (easy 10 min walk with luggage). It was expensive - but it’s Nice, peak-season, and a Friday - so that’s to be expected, but the price was my only real gripe. It’s a typical 3* French hotel - well run, friendly staff, AC was fine, clean, comfortable, safe neighbourhood. Probably most suitable for a shorter stay. The breakfast, incidentally was really good as was the little sun terrace on the top floor to enjoy it. If the price was right, I would happily stay again.

Loved the service ! Very friendly. The roof top balcony was pretty and very Mary Poppins esque.
The room was interesting. 3 walls, no windows. The door and the sidelight to the door were solid windows. Yes. There was a curtain to pull across the huge see through glass entry door so that folks walking by to get to their rooms couldn’t see you in yours. So if you like sunlight or ambient light and don’t like to be in a fish bowl this set up is not for you. We just kept the curtains closed and lived with the darkness while we were in the room. Thankfully we were out of the room most of the time. We will not be returning to this property but everyone was very nice. Ps we were not the only ones disappointed about the rooms and the staff were kind and empathetic so it was obvious that this was not the first time they had been approached.

Great little hotel, rooms are basic and our room was very small. Just a double bed and a table in there with not a lot of room to move. Great size bathroom though which looked like it had recently been refurbished.
Shower was ok but did lose heat quickly so some mornings were spent with a lukewarm shower.
In a great little location though with only a 10 minute walk to all the shops and a further 5/10 mins to the promenade. Staff was lovely and we arrived a few hours before check in and our rooms were already ready for us. They did take the first night payment from us about a week before our stay which we wasn’t aware off, as we did pay at hotel and this wasn’t stipulated to us, so just be aware if doing it as pay on arrival.

Lovely hotel but room 102 is awful!

Hotel Byakko is in a great location, with easy access to the station, tram network, shopping, beach, old town, literally everything you would want to see and do in and around Nice, it was a no brainer to book. Hotel is clean, our room large and beds compfy, breakfast is delicious and offers a great selection (I enjoyed pancakes each morning and fresh squeezed orange juice) but unfortunately our stay was ruined by the loud noises that would start at 2am each morning. It was clear someone was clearing cages and running up and down the stairs but it disturbed our sleep every night and being right next to the breakfast room there was no chance of a lie in as that was also very loud. We were left very tired and drained after spending the days exploring then not sleeping well but I can only comment on room 102, other rooms may be much quieter and better and so I would absolutely reccomend this hotel then as the location and breakfast are wonderful.

Chose this hotel for its location, in the centre within walking distance to the old town & transport facilities & it was perfect for our first visit to Nice.
Staff couldnt do enough for you. Friendly, welcoming & everything was done with a smile.

I liked the fact that the staff were quite welcoming and helpful. I felt appreciated. The room was nice and cosy and the hotel is roughly 5 minutes away from the main shopping areas.

The only downside was that there wasn’t any chillers or fridges to keep stuff as lunch and diner isn’t served at the hotel.

Overall a quite experience and I’ll definitely go again.

The hotel was nice and convenient for what we needed for 4 nights. It had perfect location and everything was in walking distance which was great. The staff was nice and friendly and spoke English which was helpful and tried their best to communicate with us. The hotel had lovely staff and lovely breakfast included which we ate every day we stayed. It had a great rooftop with a wonderful view of the city which is perfect. The room was small but enough just for 2 people for a short amount of time. However bathroom was small and poorly made as the shower was facing towards the wall so bathroom floor would get soaked every time in use. Very inconvenient. Also at night there was loud noises coming from the bathroom which sounded like the shower and bathroom pipes were frequently getting flush or something. But overall I would recommend for a short stay :)

The staffs are very friendly and nice but hotel wifi was terrible. I could not believe this is 3 stars hotel. I never seen like that poor condition of wifi in 3 stars hotel.
When I checked in my room wifi did not work. So I had to went downstairs to ask the staff and he helped me to get connected to the other line. But it still did not work in my room. And sometime it was connected but constantly it disconnected again. Can you imagine how much it would be inconvenient?? It was extremely inconvenient. And I will not ever stay again at this hotel. And also the bathroom smelled like public toilet on the street. It smelled bad... I will not ever stay again at this hotel.

Good enough motel, location is in center and about 20-25 mins walking from old town. It's located in a relatively busy section but street parking is doable if you roam around the streets a bit so you dont have to pay expensive overnight parking elsewhere. Excellent location just off the main shopping avenue in the city center (3-5 mins) and also close to train station (10 mins). Staff were really nice and very accommodating. Our bags did not initially arrive at Nice Airport so they had to be returned to us the next day. Reception at hotel received and held our bags without any fuss and this enabled us to go about our business and not have to wait for the bags. We also borrowed a plug adaptor no issues and they printed out tickets for us for the World Cup match that day and for the final the next day in Lyon for no charge and instantly. Room was relatively small but that is normal in most hotels we have seen in city centers in French cities. It was very clean and beds were comfortable. Shower also had hot water and good pressure. We had a balcony as well which was a food bonus. Would definitely stay there again.

Location is good, not far from the old city. The employees at the desk were absolutely fantastic. The bathroom had problems - the sink didn't have hot water, the drain plug kept getting stuck, and the toilet didn't flush properly. Breakfast was good. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens were all in great condition. The carpet was gross. Parking in the area is tricky/expensive. Ok solution for a short, budget friendly stay if you don't plan to spend much time in the room. Despite the issues with this particular bathroom, I might return. Much better pricing than most places in the area.

Booked because I thought Days Inn name would mean something in terms of minimum standard of servcie and cleanliness. Arrived around 10pm. Had to wait 10-15 mins for someone to appear at reception to check me in. Even phoned the hotel to try to get someone's attention. The stench in the bathroom of ammonia/urine was terrible. TV didn't work either. Room and bed, sheets seemed reasonably clean and air con worked. Luckily I was only staying overnight and moving on to meet friends the next day. Would not recommend.

Negative in my room: Water accumulated in the washbasin while I was using it because the open/close mechanism was jammed up in the closed position. Water also ran out slowly from the bath tub, and while I was showering, water splashed out on the floor in front of the washbasin because there was no kind of shield of the shower.
Positive in my room: Very pleasent air condition. Clean.
Other: This was one of the better breakfasts of the smaller kind. Good coffee. Luggage storage after check out.

Not the Days Inn by Radisson!

Rude and obnoxious staff members. They don't like to be bothered with questions except for the manager dude. The room was tiny and no amenities whatsoever. The only reason I got this hotel was for free breakfast. Bad move. Same old unedible garbage day after day.
Hotel close to train station but far from tourist attractions. Must be one of the worst hotels in Nice comparable to those in front of gare du nord in Paris.

Easy, breezy quick stop

One night stay on trip from France to Italy. Walking distance from train station. Very nice and helpful desk clerks. Room was clean and comfy. Nice rooftop to hang out on. Great place overall!

The hotel was in the back streets of the dirty part of nice. I was eaten alive by mosquitos, and the breakfast was over priced. I would never go back to this hotel.
