Unfortunately we find ourselves not able to offer positive feedback on this occasion. Firstly the room we were given on arrival was incorrectly sold to us as a double room . The bed being against the wall meant that if the person on that side wanted the bathroom during the night you needed to climb over the other person to get out. Also where were we to hang our clothes ? Three coat hangers over a coffee machine was totally Inadequate. What if I wanted to hang a dress up ? And three hangers for two people for a weeks stay ? No storage / shelving in the room . Totally unacceptable so we asked to change rooms. Which we did incurring extra cost and no apology . So onto the upgraded room . We had a closet that was fine . We didn’t have to do an obstacle course during the night to use the bathroom . But in my opinion and for a four star hotel surely this should be standard? The room itself was spacious but not cleaned during our weeks stay . Floor very dirty - shower and sinks also not cleaned . Noise from the street was ridiculous causing broken sleep . The complimentary shower gel and conditioner were empty and not filled until we went to reception and asked . Coffee - tea and milk available on the first floor but the containers were empty every day . We were told we would have a fresh bottle of water daily - this was not the case . I think the worst point however was when we used the shower we set the smoke alarm off as this is positioned very close to the shower . This caused

Ideal location. Av Jean Medecin is lively and the main shopping street in the city but the rooms are quiet. Everything is walkable - you can be in the old town/ beach within 20 mins.

I very much injoyed my stay at the Yelo Jean Medecins. The hotel is situated around the corner from the Nice Ville railway station and there are many shopping and dining facilities nearby. I stayed for 8 nights, but somehow housekeeping forgot to tidy my room 2 days in a row. However, I reported this at the reception and the matter was rectified for the remainder of my stay. I recommend this hotel to travelers.

The room was very clean, and requesting amenities was easy. However, one of the staff members was rude to us when we asked her for rubbing alcohol. She needed to translate to understand what we meant, but didn’t seem willing to help. We had to wait for the next staff member on shift, who was helpful and provided what we needed.

This we were very disappointed by the service by the breakfast staff and reception staff on Sunday 13th July at checkout. We turned up at breakfast on Sunday morning at 9.55am and were told the breakfast and we could not take food to our room! This was ridiculous as there was full buffet available. Despite the protest front the staff I did take 2 yogurts and 2 pastries and was not offered coffee. At checkout the receptionist reprimanded me in front of my wife and friends as said she would charge me for the full breakfast even though she did not let me take what I wanted but still charged me for breakfast and told

Ideal for a short break to Nice
Ideal hotel for our short break in Nice. Superb location and our room was just what we needed. The staff were all very friendly and helped us with all of our queries.

The pro is the hotel is right around the corner from the train station, making transportation to the airport and day trips outside of Nice very easy. The cons are the limited upkeep of rooms and extremely thin walls— I woke up to the hallway door banging constantly, every morning at 8. But all of this could be expected for a budget hotel. What really ruined my experience was that I was bit by a spider overnight and since I’m allergic, had to go to a 24 hour pharmacy and then the hospital ER the next day. When I came back that night I asked to change my room and I was informed there were no other options. Instead, the person working the desk offered to kill the spider if I saw it… he also said he would definitely tell his manager, but I never heard from the staff again. It’s one thing to have limited services, it’s another to be incapable of meeting a guest’s needs.

Nice pleasant stay. Comfy beds and pillows and our room was towards the rear of the building which meant zero noise from the road below. Room was exceptionally small and hardly enough space for one person, let alone two. It was central which was convenient but there is no 24/7 room service. No phones or iPads in the room. So there was no way to get a hold of someone at 10pm if a towel was needed in the room. The bathroom fan wasn’t working. The blonde front lady wasn’t nice at all. I hurt myself and she refused to give me bandages more than once ( I hurt myself in the hotel).

The remote was far from me, which the video clearly shows. I reported this and was told a male staff member would come up. As a solo female traveller, I declined. I offered the video as evidence, and was told “we checked the camera, it’s probably from outside.” That response left me speechless.
Expedia tried to secure a partial refund, but the hotel refused, citing their cancellation policy. How could I have known what I was walking into? I trusted their website. I feel completely let down. I approached this whole situation respectfully, and was treated with indifference. For a large hotel, I expected basic courtesy. I left feeling unsafe, disappointed, and disrespected.

Lovely hotel. Love the concept and the decor. Had problems with the first room but the Manager authorised an upgrade to a King Room as the same style room I paid for wasn’t available. Then had a miscommunication with a member of the restaurant staff but the Manager listened to me point of view and carried out Service Recovery. It would be hard to beat the Manager’s service from the heart delivery.

The property and surroundings are great. But there are no side tables on either side of the bed which was challenging. The AC did not work in the room. Requiring to give 24 hours notice to get the room cleaned is a bit much as I would not know in advance if I wanted it cleaned or not.

Misleading advertisement and photos on their ads on Expedia. The staff very unfriendly and not helpful. No access to the front entrance of the hotel driving (tramway st). No adequate driving and parking guidance and explanations for findg the property driving. I drove around for an hour to find the property following google map not knowing you can't drive to the street the hotel is on it. It was even very difficult to find a park spot even few blocks further to walk to the hotel to check in. Eventually I had to risk parking somewhere on the street violating no parking sign leaving my flashers blinking to run to the street ask people how to get to the hotel. Aftet finding the property asked them about their parking lot they gave me an address one block further in a very narrow street with a very narrow gate that you can barely drive through after few time back and forth while pedestrians and other cars on the street waiting impatiently. Not only that you have to call the reception to open the gate for you when you get there and because it take awhile to drive back and forth the gate keeps closing automatically, you have to keep the reception on call to keep asking them to reopen the gate. Super stressful. You can't imagin what i went through. And that's not all. I had to carry our suitcases walking back to hotel from their parking lot dragging them behind me on the long ramp of that horrible parking lot. No room service. Tiny shower, tiny sink, tiny toilet stall. Continued...

we were originally given the wrong room but it was quickly resolved by the lovely lady at reception, amazing location, gorgeous hotel and wonderful staff! made our first time in Nice one to remember and we will definitely be back. The only thing i’d say is the air con not working so we opened the window but due to the street we were on (near the train station) it was extremely loud at night so struggled to sleep one night. We only stayed in the room from 8 pm until 4:00 am so it was a very quick night because we had an early flight. It was clean and convenient to public transportation. If I was staying for several days in a row as we did on the front end of our trip I would recommend staying in Old Town or Garibaldi Area.

Parking included is advertised yet we ended up paying 78 euros for 2 nights at the garage the front desk recommended. Nothing about this hotel is “4 star” worthy other than the aesthetics of the bathroom (which in person come across as a bit more worn in than represented in photos) and the kind staff (they were lovely). the shower overflows onto the floor, no hooks for long towels, faint smell of feces permeates the hotel. We feel a bit catfished by the photos chosen to represent the exterior of the hotel, partially that is on me for not questioning why there were so many photos of the beach for a hotel so deep in the city. If you need to be close to the train station this might be a good fit for you but it did not meet our expectations for a four star hotel especially especially compared to other four star stays we’ve had in France on this trip. Guests are encouraged to restock their I’m room amenities as needed by traveling to the 1st floor which is not a problem, I’m capable of doing that myself but again, not quite what is expected for a 4 star stay. Personally I’d rank this as a 3 star hotel.

We had to ask four times and go and talk to receptionist to get additional blanket. Staff was very unfriendly. We paid for intermediate room based on Expedia description and ended up with the smallest room they had. Very small room with no closet - hard to move around. Overall, way bellow four star hotel.

The undoubted advantage is the excellent location for visiting all the attractions of Nice on foot and by public transport and neighboring cities by train. It is on the central street of the city. The airport is close too, and accessible by tram if you don't mind walking 10 minutes to the tram line 2. The staff is very friendly, professinal and helped us with everything. The hotel is easy to find - the entrance is next to McDonald's. The train station is very close, around the corner. The hotel is clean and everything is well organized. The only disappointment was the interior design: we lived in a 'superior' room and there were no hangers in the bathroom to hang towels, there were no drawers and wardrobe in the room for coats and the room was cramped. We adapted, and the location of the hotel compensated these inconveniences for us, but this should be taken into account . Maybe you need to choose a larger room to have more space.

The hotel was ok but our room was so small. No place for our luggage except for against the wall outside the bathroom. If you were in the room you had to stand or sit on the bed. The top of the small fridge was used for the safe and a place for the coffee machine and kettle. Air conditioning was minimal. They did have complementary coffee which was nice. This hotel is a great little gem in the heart of Nice that is in close proximity to the beach, shopping, train station and restaurants. The rooms are nice and clean. Turnover service is bare BARE minimum and aside from Cedric and housekeeping, concierge was cold and very unhelpful. Not friendly or welcoming at all. When traveling we expect some degree of customer service and this was NOT IT. A cute hotel but would probably stay somewhere with better service that is warm and welcoming in the future.

Apart from the room being small and the shower space being wide open, this hotel is amazing. Its conveniently placed in the middle of the town and the staff were amazing and extra friendly. We were allowed to boil our eggs in the kitchen room even though we didn't have the breakfast there. We had rented a car and this hotel has no parking although it states parking available on the property description. The hotel is next to a tram line with a small awney that has the name Yelo which you will miss if you are driving. The receptionist gave us directions for a parking garage half a mile across from the hotel but there was no way to find it. We were going in circles. Eventually we went back to the airport and returned our car. The receptionist should have just told there is a McDonald's right next to it. Instead we were told all the unnecessary point of attractions around the hotel. When we arrived, it was a different receptionist who showed pictures of the parking garage and she asked if were told about McDonalds. Long story short, you can stay there but finding parking and the hotel if you are a first time traveler might be a challenge unless clear instructions are given. Breakfast was just ok. Plus point is the public transportation is next to the hotel. Can be noisy as it is located in the center of the city. A little unsafe after 10p

Modern new designed rooms, great walk in shower with good pressure very quiet at night and black out blinds. I loved the free drinks especially the hot chocolate in the lounge. Staff were great. I did not like the chrome cast on the TV I could not get it to work on my Netflix plan or Apple TV. The bed was comfortable but had a built in frame round it that was about 10 inches and getting in and out was awkward. I got lots of bad bruises on the back of my knees and legs from this. I am 55 but agile so it was not great for anyone with leg hip feet or knee problems. They also don’t recycle waste. It was a good stay overall. Would ask for a different room on bed style.
