It was all lovely and the staff was very helpful and accessible. My only complaint is that we had a car and there was no parking available and nothing nearby. Most people seem to take the train to the hotel so the hotel was not equipped to assist with directing us to reasonable parking.

From the warm greeting when we arrived to the leisurely breakfasts in the courtyard (“continental plus” in terms of choice and quality) to every interaction with Corrina, Simon and others, we truly felt welcome and at home. Room was spacious, and such a treat to have ample storage. Comfy bed; good shower. Location was ideal for multiple trips to the train station to explore the region, and was outside the main crush of tourists, yet close enough for easy walks to Old Town. We left with a new obsession with olive jam and cheese (a tear may have been shed upon departure). Cannot say enough good things about these people and the place. You truly made our time in your beautiful part of the world all the more special.

This is a really special place. Other than the location, which was fantastic, and the breakfast, which was quite possibly the best i've had at any hotel, the people who run the hotel are wonderful - nothing is too much trouble. If we go back to Nice this is the place we'll be booking again.

Overall good. The curtain and blinds in the living room, which is used as a bedroom with a sofa bed, needs replacing. The sofa bed is not very comfortable either. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. I am giving this as feedback so that they can improve these couple of things to make it even better.
Rest was excellent. Very good communication from Naomie before the visit. They provided an extra bed at no extra cost. One of the most welcoming team greeted us as soon as I arrived. Corina and other team members, including the manager, were very polite and helpful. Service was excellent throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nights stay.

The rooms are very bright, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Where do we start?! What an incredible hotel. This was our first holiday with our five-month old baby and we were looked after wonderfully. The travel cot and baby bath were perfect, with a lovely kitchenette as well. Our baby was even given a little teddy bear as a gift! We have named him Hugo (after Hugo Lloris!).
On our final day, even though we checked out at 11, the hotel allowed us to use their facilities for the rest of the day until our flight that evening. So very helpful! We can’t say enough kind things. We would love to come back, and we have recommended it to everyone - Merci!

Do not miss Maison Lamartine
I wanted to describe my amazing stay at Maison Lamartine so that anybody traveling to Nice will be advised of this most wonderful establishment. As soon as I arrived, the staff met me outside to take in my luggage and suggest a nearby parking garage where I was given a special rate for parking with in-out privileges. Every single staff member was so inviting and kind. They left personalized handwritten greeting cards for my arrival and for Valentine’s Day, and the room was stocked with coffee, wine, water, and candy. The staff really made my experience customized and personal. As for the room itself, I chose the Executive Apartment which had more space than you can imagine. I prepped food, coffee and wine in the kitchen and watched TV nightly in the living room. The bedroom was bigger than my entire apartment in San Francisco, and the bathroom was very clean and large with enough space for my things. As for the location, you could not beat it. There was a grocery store a few blocks in one direction and other shops and cafes at your footsteps. Although sad to leave, I will most definitely return for a longer period of time. Most important was the staff made the experience so wonderful. I will recommend everybody coming to Nice to stay at Maison Lamartine. Thanks to all of you - merci beaucoup !

Perfectly situated a 5 min walk from Nice-Ville train station and a 20 min walk to old town and the waterfront. Very nice rooms though the building is showing its age in some areas. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Not all rooms have bath tubs but the water pressure was really good.

Katrina, our host, was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel right at home. Although we arrived on a Sunday, left to pay for our parking after dropping off our bags, only to find out Sunday was free. They should have let us know. Room was small but functional. This is a rare jewel of a property within easy walking distance from Gare Nice Ville Train Station - yet just far enough from the nuisances surrounding transportation hubs. Easy walking distance to Nice beach, dining and shopping experiences. Beware that taking the Regional Trains - no reserved seating - to nearby locations such as Eze Sur Mer and Monaco Monte-Carlo are fraught with extreme over crowding and less than congenial human behaviors.

Great position, 8 mins walk from train station and very close to main shopping street. Wonderful to have a reception for apartment block . Breakfast is available in a lovely courtyard garden. Easy to catch the tram down to the waterfront. We had a studio apartment, not alot of space ut ok for 3 nights. Enjoyed our stay .

The women who run this hotel really do it right. Everything is clearly explained and personalized. I loved the breakfast! They encouraged me to take what I didn’t eat back to my room. The location was perfect: close to all the attractions and a ten minute walk to the train station and a large Monoprix for groceries. I loved having dinnerware and a kettle to make tea or coffee. Just a real find.

Breakfast in the courtyard at the back was great, room and entrance security, really good, no keys! Receptionists really helpful. Room/apartment was a great size. But, some damp in the bathroom and bedroom, 1 wardrobe could not be used as the damp smell was awful, just wants a freshen up. But I would stay again.

This was amazing. Very close to the train station and only a 15 min walk into old town Nice. We loved it. The building is delightful and the breakfast incredible, served in the garden. Really fabulous and helpful people. We would definitely return and thoroughly recommend.

It was the first time we came to Nice and stayed at this wonderful residence. Ainoa and Julian went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as expected. Ainoa was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to giving tips and advices about the city and other things to do around town. She took time to answer all our questions and concerns and created an nice itinerary for our stay. We cannot thank her enough for her assistance and hospitality.

It was a pleasure to stay here - the location is great, about a 10min walk from both the airport tram and the central train station.
Ainoa and Julian were friendly and professional, they gave me such a warm welcome and were really helpful. Amazing pastries at breakfast! The room was comfortable and quiet. I will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in this fabulous little hotel, with the friendly staff and lovely personal touches. It's very quite, clean and comfortable but also very centrally located and only a 15 min walk to the sea front.

The place was great. We walked in and the place was spotless. The place has a lot of space, and the location couldnt be better. The location is a few minutes walk from the station, to the town centre/high street and even the local gardens. We were there for 4 nights and visited other cities, once we were back tired, the service was great and the place was cleaned up. The owners are very reliable and very friendly if you ask and speak to them. We would definitely go back and stay here.

There are 4 apartments on our floor and we had the biggest apartment. The apartment was very clean, spacious and quiet. The kitchen was small but well equipped and we cooked our meals rather than ate out the week we were there. There was also a Nepresso-Krups coffee machine. Beds were comfortable.
There is laundry and drying for 8€, well equipped gym, billiard and games room and a tiny but beautiful garden. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great little hotel in central Nice, close to main shopping street & easy walking to train station & about 10 minutes walk to the Old Town area with lots of bars & restaurants. Hotel has full cooking facilities & figured out after finding the switch to work the shutters. All the staff are very helpful. 2nd time staying here this month, with comfortable beds. Only minor issue, it's quite a step up to get into shower/combined bath & no grab rail. Remember to let them know if arriving at unusual hours as the front door is locked. Recommended.

The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make our stay a comfortable one. The service was outstanding and they also gave us great suggestions on where to go and how to get around. It was close to the city center and an easy walk to good restaurants and shops. The location was also close to the main train station. We felt a little unsafe walking through the neighborhood at night.

This was a very nice place to stay, my room was a garden view and was very quiet. The rooms have been renovated very nicely, the bed was very comfortable and I got a good sleep, which is my most important thing when reviewing a hotel room. I was on the 4th floor & there is a lift. I was surprised to find a kitchen setup and a Nespresso machine. They have a light breakfast available at extra cost, but there are plenty of cafes & restaurants close by. It is a reasonable close walk to the train station & just around the corner from the main shopping street. My only small criticism would be that the curtains are not full light block out & secondly it is quite a step up into the bath/shower with no \"grab rail\". The staff & reception are very helpful & friendly, but they like to know if you are arriving at later hours as the front door is locked. Your room key is also the front door key. Would I stay there again, a definite yes.

From the moment I booked, I was thrilled because immediately they sent a welcome email. The property has a stellar location. It is clean, elegant, and the actual units are modern. Even the sheets had a wonderful smell. They have laundry facilities on site, a pool table and gorgeous sitting areas both inside and out. The staff is marvelous. They actually initiate conversations and make suggestions on where to go. I will book again with them when in the south of France. Wifi was strong which is important for a tourist as I made reservations on it for uber and other things. The front desk even helped me make a full day tour and got me a reduced rate. Studio style rooms offering all the benefits of a good regular hotel plus facilities for cooking a great meal. Exactly what we were looking for! On our last trip to Nice two years back, we were in awe by the all the fresh food available at the local morning market along Avenue Malaussena. Fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. We plotted a plan to come back and 'live like a local' for a week. What an experience!
For good bagguette, look no further than Boulangerie Pâtisserie Albert Planchais along Rue Russie. Baguette is baked throughout the day for freshness, unbeatable. A local Monoprix (supermarket) close to the residence is useful for good selection of groceries and reasonable quality wine and cheeses.

A Great Place in Nice
We were super happy with Résidence Lamartine and highly recommend it. The location is perfect, one block away from all the shops and restaurants in Avenue Jean Médecin, and a reasonable walk to Place Masséna and Old Town. The check-in process was fast and efficient. During the first part of our trip we stayed in an Executive Studio, which had a well-equipped kitchenette with a small fridge, stove, microwave, and a Nespresso machine, and a large bathroom. Then we stayed in a Suite during the second part of our trip, which is an apartment with a nice bedroom, a large bathroom, a fully-stocked kitchen (with cookware, dishware, and utensils, a full-size fridge, a conventional oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and Nespresso machine), and a living room with beautiful balconies facing Rue Lamartine. The rooms exceeded our expectations, had plenty of electric outlets, and the free Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked great. The public areas, including the lobby and hallways, clearly show they had been recently renovated. The staff was very helpful and nice. They arranged to have a private van pick us up at the airport, they helped us get a parking pass for the carpark nearby at a cheaper rate than the regular daily rate, provided suggestions for restaurants, held our luggage while we visited other cities, etc. They also have amenities that we did not use, like a fitness center and a garden lounge. We thought the price was excellent. A great place!

We stayed 3 days to explore Nice, Monaco, Cannés and The surrounds. The hotel was our central and returned to every evening. It’s about 15 mins walk from train station and just a street over from Main Street were all the shopping and restaurants are. Staff are very helpful and nice. From the minute we approached she had a warm smile to welcome us. Thank you for that. The rooms are clean and a nice size. Although we didn’t use them, it had well equipped kitchen. Bathroom is clean but needs good ventilation; after shower it turns to be a steam room for good while. Room needs a mirror as the only mirror is in the bathroom. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will comeback.

Such a convenient and relaxing way to spend some time in nice. Walking distance to everywhere and abundant choices of eating out or just having something in the room. Only negative was no coffee pods provided for the nespresso machine and the housekeeping was a little patchy. Overall loved this place.

great hotel let down by air con not working
Staff, room and facilities all great but air con did not work properly and then not at all for final three days. No one seems able to fix it and this was not great in mid July. This really let the place down and looking more at reviews I think this is a potential recurring problem for them, which is a real shame.
