Cabin is fully stocked with what ever you need, very comfortable with wild life right out side your front door. Very peace full environment. Simon the host very friendly and nothing is too much when asked a question. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

For anyone who loves nature this is the place to be. You can hear all the wildlife morning and night they even welcome themselves into the cabin to say hi. The place is up to date clean and tidy with all the amenities you would need. It is really dark to drive there at night as no lighting but to be expected when staying in the place you are. Local to everything you neee within 10 min drive max.

Great place close to Airlee Beach that is quiet and secluded. Loved the outdoor porch and firepit. The room is small but perfect for two. Kitchen was well stocked. Bed very comfortable. Very clean and modern.

Beautiful Queenslander home. Typical box in the middle with a stunning wrap around verandah. Nothing has been left undone here, making this a very comfortable stay. The property is extremely tranquil with a connectedness to nature. We fell asleep each night with the doors open listening to the the calmness of the trees and woke up slowly with the soft sparkle of the sun and gentle breeze. We will be back for sure!!

The Kookaburra apartment (not cabin) is actually under the house of the owner and their family. I was expecting privacy. When we arrived we heard people moving around upstairs. We assumed they would be leaving but they didn’t. We heard them washing dishes, talking, showering and walking around on the floorboards. Very awkward. Very disappointed. So if your looking for a relaxing, quiet, private getaway... don’t choose the Kookaburra cabin/apartment.

Property looked nothing like what was advertised on the internet. No communication from owner of how to get the key or letting us know they are currently in middle of a clean up. We booked the Kookaburra cabin but when we arrived, it was a first floor of a Queenslander. There was also no green grass. Could put love and work into this place.

Airlie Beach Eco Cabins were amazing! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. One of our highlights was wildlife in the area, particularly once the sun sets. Just make sure you take the advice of the hosts and use insect repellent when outdoors - we both suffered the wrath of the Midge! For anyone who hasn’t heard of these - which was us prior to this trip - they are an almost invisible insect similar to a mosquito. We had a hire car which made the small commute into Airlie nice and easy. Make sure you check out Northelies Beach Bar & Grill for a lovely meal on the water, or a cheeky drink if preferred. Would happily stay here again!

So many extra touches that made the place so special. Chilled bottle of champagne on arrival, tea and coffee provided, camp chairs for sitting around the fire at night and even some marshmallows for toasting.
Really was a great get away and I would recommend it to anyone who would love to explore the area while still staying away from the hussle of it all.

The property was very easy to find following google maps. Check in was very easy - the outside motion security light was not working which is just a note for the owners to repair. Made it a little dark to find our way in and out. Location is amazing and very quiet retreat. Is certainly not too far away from Airlie in our opinion. We certainly prefer a bigger bed and thicker pillows. More pillows would be a suggestion but neither of these would deter us from visiting again. My Partner required an iron and board and after a quick email there was one waiting for us on our balcony when we returned from our day out on the water. We would recommend this as a great couples retreat.

We want to stay somewhere just out of Airlie and these cabins were perfect. Only a short drive to the shopping center and about another 10 minutes to Airlie. I loved the bush setting and there was heaps of birds and other wildlife around the cabin. The shower was the only thing we had an issue with, mixing the water to the right temp was a real science. The hosts were lovely and left wine and chocolates for us to enjoy.

Watching all the animals eating right outside the apartment during dust was just magical.
Unfortunately neither the TV programs nor Netflix were working ind the apartment although promoted in the ad.
In addition we were searching the quietness in the woods. Unfortunately neighbours were celebrating a huge party on Saturday evening and night with loud music and the making of a lot of noise. So therefore weekend stays at eco cabins might be not of the same great peace & quiet experience and quality than stays during the week.

Cosy cabin in Bush setting

Easily accessed from the main highway, 15 mins from the well developed commercial centre of Cannonvale. Cabins are excellent in appointments and space. Complimentary serving of wine, milk, sweets, water and other nessary items on arrival were very appreciated. The focal point of the setting is the open space in front of the cabin allowing native animals to graze the grass areas, which are viewed from the veranda during the evening hours. Staff very informative and helpfull. Very enjoyable experience.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Possum cabin. It had absolutely everything you might need for an extended stay (and more). Check in was easy, everything was clean & comfortable, and Kym and her staff were super friendly & had tons of info about the area and local wildlife. Great location just a few minutes drive to Airlie Beach. Strong wifi signal. One of our favorite stays in Australia. Highly recommend.

Tranquil cabins with wildlife at your front door

We arrived late in the day and I had missed the original Hotels.com email with check in instructions - including lock box code. Given that you check in and check out without seeing the owners, I recommend that the lodge sends a confirmatory email closer to the date.That is the only tiny blemish on an excellent experience. The cabin was very nice and had everything required to be self-sufficient. The owners put out approved food for local wildlife with cockatoos and scrub turkeys appearing during the day, and possums, wallabies and bandicoots at night. You can watch their antics from the little balcony of your cabin. However, the animals are still wild and there were no possums scratching at the door or fighting on the roof. The location: I deliberately chose something well out of the hustle and bustle of Airlie Beach. The cabins are in a very peaceful location on the edge of a sugarcane field about 15 minutes drive from the centre of Airlie Beach. The only noises were those of local wildlife. However, you will need a car, scooter or need to use a taxi to get into town. If you want to be able to stagger back from Magnums or one of the other backpacker bars, this is not for you! Great for romantic getaways.

My sister and I booked a stay at what we thought was going to be a hotel, turns out it was a cabin. When we arrived and we found the cabin we were pleased with the inside. It had a queen size bed, kitchenette, flat screen tv, air con, complementary water, a nice bathroom with nice pantene shampoo and conditioner and organic body wash, my favorite part was that the tv was a smart tv and came with all access to live tv, netflix, and YouTube. The cabins also had good wifi, 5gb a day. Lastly, the facility keeps good care of the grounds and wildlife surrounding it, therefore, you get to see some beautiful Australian wildlife while you sit on the cozy deck. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Highly recommend.

Ein kleines gemütliches Appartment in der Wildnis. Es müsste das ein oder andere renoviert werden, aber wir sind gut zurecht gekommen. Das es sich im Wald befindet kann es passieren das sich der ein oder andere Käfer im Haus verirrt. Dafür kann man nachts aber sehr toll die Tiere hören und teilweise auch sehen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.
