We were allocated Room 9 on the ground level.
The Apartment itself was okay, tastefully decorated, all the cooking and kitchen equipment was supplied.
However being on the ground floor means that you views are partially blocked by the elevator and it feel as though everyone can see you as soon as they exit the lift. Also being right in front of the sun loungers by the pool it did not feel private at all we felt very exposed. There are no management on site in the evening and we were subject to an evening of some tenants having a full on fight and we watched as the police came to intervene. The next night there were a group of teenagers having a full on Party after pool hours. Not even sure they were guests!! No security or management came to inform them of the pool hours.
We did not have any communication from staff at any time during our stay.
The pool is absolutely fabulous and we really enjoyed swimming there each day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Martinique. The view from our balcony and from the infinity pool / spa was spectacular and well worth climbing the hill for. The apartment was spacious and fully equiped with all that we needed. The location was excellent in terms of proximity to the beach, Main Street and Port of Arlie. Just be prepared for a steep climb, that is unless you have a car, choose to use taxis or are being picked up and dropped off for day trips as we were. Overall, I’d highly recommend Martinique and would definitely stay again if we were to return to Airlie Beach.

We stayed in apartment 12 which was 2 bedrooms & is the central apartment on the top floor. The views were spectacular! The apartment was so spacious with an open plan living, kitchen, dining area with each opening onto the balcony which was equally spacious. The large outdoor dining area was covered & the outer area caught the sun all day with sunloungers on it.
The furnishings were lovely & the beds comfy. The kitchen was extremely well equipped & the washer & dryer were so useful.
The pool area was beautiful & was much bigger than it looked on the photos.
I wouldn't recommend the location for those with young children or anyone elderly or unfit as the hill is a challenge, especially in the heat but for us was so worth it & I could not stop gazing at the view.
I loved Airlie & if I were to ever visit again, I would not stay anywhere but number 12 or 12a Martinique.

The pool was a hit. Beautiful views from the balcony even though we were in the very corner apartment. The decor is dated but functional. Some kitchen utensils and crockery had dried food on them. Dishwasher probably needs servicing or cleaning. The bed wasn't very comfortable. We noticed they were 2 single bed basis with queen mattress on top. So we were both rolling off on each side. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would come again.

First of all, wow the views! However, the place definitely needs some attention! The cleanliness of the property was poor, and the unit was very run down and outdated, the bathroom was mouldy, the shower head was in very poor condition! You had to literally hold it up otherwise it kept falling down. Overall it was a pretty average stay for us.

First unit sprung a leak and cleanliness poor.
No communications that there is a lift but it only goes to pool area. You then have to cart your bags ect up 3 flights of stairs so older people can’t stay there.

The property was not a four star as advertised. Although the property was surface clean it was extremely tired and outdated. The widows in the bedroom over looked an internal corridor. The bathroom window had no blind so was see-through from the corridor plus the bath/shower area was grubby and full of black mould. The kitchen light didnt work and the ovenhood was thick with grease. The view from the balcony window i admit was stunning, just a pity all the outside furniture was full of rust and unfit for purpose. You could hear people in the flats surrounding yours, voices, toilets flushing and the shower running. We cut our stay short.

A few of my friends and I stayed here for 5 days and it was amazing. Staff and reception guy was absolutely lovely and so helpful, the place was really clean and had an amazing view. It was in close proximity to the Main Street with all the shops, supermarket and eating places and overall would definitely stay here again we had the best experience!

The property is slightly dated however its proximity to town, the views and the pool greatly outweigh this. Parking is included and the apartments are well equipped. The hill from town back to the property is very steep but completely manageable for the fit and healthy. The property was quiet and we didn’t notice any sound travelling from other groups staying in the adjoining apartments. The property could benefit from a freshen up but as it currently stands it is great value for money.

It was an older resort but was fabulous for viewing the marina and downtown area and a 5 minute walk down the steep hill to get to all the fun. The walk back up the hill took 12 minutes lol.
Beautiful penthouse condo, extremely well done and we hated to leave. The other people staying there were very friendly.

Also, would NOT recommend going to Airlie Beach during what they call the wet season...Jan-Mar. It rained every day...our flights were cancelled; the entire airport was closed cuz the roads in were flooded...apparently a regular event there.

Fabulous place to rest and unwind. Good location to move about from around the Whitsundays. Infinity pool was to die for after a day out. Apartment was fabulous with breathtaking views on Airlie Bay.

If i was being picky the only complaint we had was the curtains in the bedroom needed to be complete block out or add a blind so the sun didn't beam in at the crack of dawn whilst on holidays.

Exhaust in the kitchen is not working. The light in the hallway is flickering. The couch (that converts to bed) is very uncomfortable, it is old and slides all the time when kids are sitting on it. The AC in the living room does not work (does not get cold at all). The shower is weak. We did not bother to report this as we can still enjoy our holidays with these issues but our stay would have been better if these issues had been checked prior our arrival.

On the other hand, the view of the airle beach is fantastic. The pool is clean and we enjoyed it. The property is clean.

Location: it is on top of the hill. So if you are going to the main street, it is not for kids nor old people as I find it difficult and painful for the legs, knees and feet. Better bring your car if you plan to explore Airlie Beach/Main Street. There are plenty of parking areas around.

Hidden gem at the top of the mountain

Easy check-in, room was on top floor. Not appropriate for people with low mobility but was advertised that there was no lift access to my room. Well stocked kitchenette, clean room. Property is a short walk from town centre. Large hill to climb (i didnt mind!) But taxis available for $7 if you cant make it. The gem of the property was the infinity pool overlooking airlie! It was stunning. The property itself is starting to look a little tired (could use a paint and some new pool chairs) but everything was impeccably looked after. Would return!

Having a kitchen and washer dryer is an expected bonus. We saved money by not having to eat out all the time and wonderful to be able to do laundry. The accommodation is standard but you get a spectacular swimming pool with million dollar view of the sea. The rooms are basic and not luxurious.
The walk up the hill to Martinique makes you think twice of what you want to carry up from Woolworth’s. You do get a nice, unintended cardio workout. Overall, a great place to stay and highly recommended. It’s not a five star resort but it has five star views.

The room we were in was clean and the beds were comfy. Our room was itself was not stair free. Many stairs to climb throughout complex even though there was an elevator it does not access rooms like a traditional hotel. Also if walking anywhere the complex is on a very steep hill so goi g down and up have their own challenges.

The apartments had all the amenities you’d need including sandwich press, vacuum & plastic cups & plates for kids to use.
However the lift takes you only to the pool (it’s in the middle of the pool) & you have to walk past a pool & spa area to get to your apartment. This wet area was not great to walk accross for children or aged people- slip & trip hazard.
There is no water pressure in the apartment either.
The niece from the apartment was great though.
Getting in & out of the car park is hard with sharp corners, little wiggle room & quite steep.

My only criticism was water pressure in the shower wasn’t great certainly not a problem. Reception staff amazing and so helpful. Highly recommend, just worth noting it is up a rather steep hill but good for the legs.
