Paid for Seaview apartment and could only see trees as well as shower recess was very difficult to access as high bath wall to climb over and very slippery. Apartment quite spacious but overall was disappointed as advertised with marina view .

We had a wonderful stay at Shingley Beach Resort. Great location, well appointed and spacious 1 bedroom apartment. The 2 pools and cafe on site were great. Our room had a beautiful view of the Marina and ocean. Easy walk to restaurants. Short drive to town centre. Would highly recommend.

We paid for marina views but it was well obstructed by palms. The internet was terrible, it was just constantly loading, the rooms price didn’t reflect the room unfortunately. Wouldn’t recommend to others sadly.

The room was generous in size, with a large living area and wardrobe. Laundry machine and dryer were in the bathroom.
Reception was closed when we arrived at 1:30 PM on a Saturday. We never had contact with any staff whilst there.
The coffee shop onsite was closed in the evenings, and had no connection with the resort.

2 bedroom stay- Clean and tidy located centrally between Airlie Beach town and Cannonvale. Jeff at the front desk at checkin was great very friendly and welcoming. Greta view from room & balcony. Free undercover parking, laundry facilities if not already in your room, cafe with friendly staff. The main pool area was closed for tiling however there is a smaller pool available and a beach across the rd. 2nd time we’ve stayed. Thank you

Beds were rock solid with very thick firm pillows. Horrible.
Mould on ceilings in bathrooms, PowerPoint no longer connected properly to tiles in bathroom, overall the place needs renovating. Plus my 70 year old grandmother had to walk up and down that steep driveway. They should really find a way to fix that.

I had a really lovely stay at SBR. It’s a dated building, but has everything you need. The location is wonderful, just far enough out of town so that it’s quiet but close enough that it’s a pleasant walk with lovely views. Easy to access reef tours and jetskis and some restaurants.

Loved that there is a cafe, nice food to start the day. I had an ocean view room and got to watch the sunrise every day. I watched the sunset from the pool. I loved the plunge pools, could have spent all day and night in them!

I didn’t feel kitchen wasn’t fitted out to match the price paid - ie only two drinking glasses.
Adjoining Rainbow Cafe is recommended for breakfast with good service.
Tip - the marina view rooms may only be a small glimpse of the water, for better harbour views take the ocean view rooms which are the next row up the hill.
Suggestion - a full length mirror in the apartment would be useful & appreciated.

The location was good, away from the noisy town centre and the pool was great. The bathroom was very below par with dark mould all around the bath/shower. The room was not very clean. The kitchen was well equipped but ventilation was poor and we were advised to leave the front door open, even to cook a slice of toast.

Apartment 32 had nice views to the port but the mattress was very soft and cheap and there were no laundry facilities as advertised. Lift was not working so hard to get to every level with heavy luggages or limited mobility. Old cheap sofa bed too not suitable for sleeping free of back pain. Loved the parking and cleaning of the apartment. Short on toilet paper, no speare bin bags provided but it has enough kitchenware for a few days stay. No room services to change wet towels or bedsheets in 4 days stay. No pool towels provided. 1 bathtowel 1 hand towel per person provided. 1 floor mat towel per apartment. Fan just works on the fastet setting, there low and medium setting doesnt work. Aircon works well. Comfy pillows.

Lovely location away from hustle and bustle but close enough to walk for drink, coffee, dinner etc. The pool area was nice.
Room was clean and pretty well equipped. The shower was quite mouldy and in need of an update however.

We had an elevated room with marina outlook but unfortunately looked over the roof of the main complex which is in a state of disrepair and was quite unsightly. Our fridge had no freezer but we were told a new one was in order.

All in all a great well priced resort and we would stay again.

Very nice staff, lovely location and atmospheric Rainbow coffee shop, all very clean and nice view of the small marina. In pool some fun floating bean begs are provided. Parking handy behind units.

Negative:
A bit tired, bed was too hard for my taste and (this seems standard in Airlie Beach) only a sheet and woollen blanket was provided. Cooking is difficult as the fire alarms are sensitive, dishes have to be washed and rubbish taken out before leaving. Pool not really suitable for kids as very deep.

Difficult parking - garage door is automatic and would get stuck everytime - air conditioners in poor condition with only 2 remotes for 4 AC - oven dirty and caused really bad burning smell when used to heat a pizza - only set to 180 degrees and set off smoke alarm. The Wi-Fi was very poor with no reception for the in house Wi-Fi. The telephone reception was equally poor, not the fault of the fault of the accommodation but because the in house Wi=Fi was non existent, this compounded the problem. This was a ground floor room on the sea side of the accommodation. The service restaurant attached was slow.

We absolutely loved the view from this property. The room itself was tired, dated and dirty; the dust under the beds and couch is terrible and the beds have long past their 10 year expiry. It is promoted as a resort however we were given 2 rolls of toilet paper between four people for 8 nights and our sheets were not changed during the stay. The cafe closes at 2.30pm and is closed on Mondays so there is no option for dinner at the property and nothing close by for take away. It is definitely not toddler friendly with a steep driveway and stairs to all rooms and the entry door to the room cannot be locked from the inside. Overall, it comes down to your expectations; if you’re after somewhere that takes your bags to your room, everything at your fingertips and no need to leave, keep looking. If you enjoy walking, the inconvenience of a kitchen and don’t mind a dated room, then this is a lovely budget short stay apartment property.

With this place listed as a resort, it felt more like short stay appartments.
The cafe that doubles as a bar is only open till 2pm so no chance of an afternoon cocktail by the pool. Rooms are very old and our room in particular had a very damp gross smell. Shower door would not slide closed, soap holder was falling off and just overall old.

Good location if you have a car to get around in. Around 15-20 walk into Airlie town and only 5 mins from the Marina.
Cafe upstairs does a great breakfast.
Pool is very nice at the end of a long day.

I was very impressed by the location of this property. We had beautiful views and only a short walk to the Marina and the waterfront cafés. The rooms were a descent size and very clean. The shower head needed to be upgraded. I could not wash my hair which was annoying. Overall apart from the shower this place was well presented and well priced.

The only issue we had was the cleanliness of the floors, the dining room chair and sofa cushion covers and the blankets.
I had to wash the blankets to get rid off the used and stuffy smell and avoided all of the cushions.
