The staff, in all areas, was great - very friendly, helpful and respectful. The rooms were lovely although the AC was a little of a challenge at first. The gym had everything I needed and quite a bit more. It was too cold for me to try the pool but sitting by it was very relaxing. I really enjoyed my stay.

The receptionist who checked us in was called and not hospitable. We have been too many hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and everyone has been so friendly however Lin didn’t seem to care that much about being kind or friendly. She was just there to do her job and it was very apparent. On top of that there was flying bugs coming out of the bathroom. It the shower room smelt mouldy. The breakfast buffet was filled with a lot of condiments but nothing substantial was offered like the other buffets we have been to at actually at 4 star hotels. Needless to say wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone else and wouldn’t book again

The room was huge and clean. The hotel is near the airport and it runs a free hourly shuttle there and back. There is a glass bottom rooftop pool that is pretty neat. My room had a kettle and a small fridge but there was no microwave in the room or anywhere in the hotel for guest use, so yummy leftovers from Indian place down the road had to be eaten cold. On my first night I arrived late so i picked up a cup of noodles to eat in room but trying to borrow a spoon from the restaurant turned out to not be possible. I could have had one brought up from room service if I wanted to pay the minimum $10 fee.

Enjoyed our stay. Good location close to metro and airport. Lovely heated rooftop pool. Was the highlight of our stay with the kids who loved the pool. Good service and nice rooms. Breakfast is good overall but a little slow replacing cups and food when needed. Would recommend.

First the shuttle bus did not come.
The room is not clean, there are ants on the bath towels and floor.
The shower water is not hot.
We have ordered a room with sofa bed and when we asked for pillows and blanket for the sofa bed side, they said they have no extra set to provide.
Very disappointed experience.

Mix feelings but I like this place. First, the complementary shuttle services from and to the airport was goooooood. Even provided complementary services to the city mall and other places. Good on you, guys. Concierge service was equally magnificent.

Although the room was a little small in size, it looked was great and spotless. Room furniture are strategically place to make room to move around.

Staff very friendly and respectful. The warm gesture provided were remarkable. Amenities such gym, spa, pool were available but we never used them. The rooftop is magical just when the sun is setting down.

The only down side for us was the food. Although, I was convenient to eat at the hotel, the meals were very one-way kind of buffet menu. Not much variety and chef were not quick with their refills. There were significant delays. Meat was a rare thing to have. Don't believe we ever eate beef. Lamp in stew/soup were rare to find. It was always chicken and somehow it finishes that quick. Then, the tray becomes empty for loooooong.

In fact, for what Mercure is, I was expecting some good variety with foods, particularly the main meals. My experiences with the food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) was not the best. I believe I would have enjoyed it better if I have stepped out for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Aside this, I believe the hotel is a good place to stay.

Receptionist said hotel shuttle would take me to the airport … she forgot to say that shuttle wouldn’t go to terminal 2.

Even though I had plenty of time to check in, by the time I got there by an additional uber trip, the flight was closed.

This is not acceptable and she should not be working at a facility of this level.

The cleanliness of the room was an issue. There was a significant amount of mold on many areas of the shower walls. The hair conditioner dispenser was empty. There were many small flies near to the toilet. The carpets in the room were stained and filthy.

Bathroom had mold on the walls and bed had hair in it not from me. Instead of my room being changed, housekeeping was sent to scrub it, which made me cough all night due to the harsh chemicals they used. The iron in the Ron was broken and weak my pants I was trying to iron. I also lost power in th room due to broken iron. Overall worse experience

3.5 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star. Save your money and go elsewhere. Second stay in 2 years and it went down the drain, speaking of drain my shower in my first room smelled like piss. Like really really horribly. Got moved to another room with no piss smell but had multiple issues as the commonly used things by guests like shower, faucets, toilet seats were loose, both rooms need an intense deep clean. After complaining to front desk, they pulled a big brain move to send maintenance instead of housekeeping or move us to a new room. Manager Ahmed did nothing and just smiled and apologised. Next morning I complained to Expedia who within 5 minutes had another manager Hamza call me who was courteous and considerate and offered us a deluxe suite which thankfully had no problems. It was humorous as I kept finding issues but at one point I realized I should stop pointing things out. Loved this hotel 2 years ago but this stay ruined it, never coming back and will definitely recommend 100% to others ..
To avoid this place!!! A few positive things about this place, close to DXB, metro and a few decent restaurants.

Overall, my stay was pleasant and comfortable. One point of feedback: the airport shuttle service was both late and inconvenient, as the driver dropped us off at Terminal 1 Arrivals instead of Departures. This led to unnecessary delays. Addressing this issue would make the guest experience even smoother.

The room was clean but was a weird design, and I did not like the twin beds, as they seemed too low. The staff was helpful. The gentleman at the excursion desk was excellent at setting up things for us to do. We did not use the airport shuttle because we were making time somewhere for dinner. The Wi-Fi was terrible in the room. I was not able to get any work done on my laptop in the room. I had to go downstairs in the business section to be able to open any attachments.

I gave the overall a 3 star only because I found there to be a bit of a miscommunication sometimes as firstly when we checked in at almost 2am, the couch bed was not made up, the booking stated clearly that the room was for 3 people, so it should have been ready in my opinion. Someone was only sent up to set up the sofa bed about 30min after we went up to the room and I called down to the reception to remind them. And also towels were always only for two in the room when like before I booked the room for 3 people. Other than that everyone was very helpful and friendly. Thank you also to Adnan the door guy and the lady who helped with getting my kids and I around (unfortunately I don’t remember her name)

The hotel was disappointingly in bad condition. Especially the bathrooms. The AC temperature does not adjust. The mirrors were dirty. The hotel gave us a connecting room with a door to another random room beside even though we only had 1 room. I had other expectations when I booked this stay.

Comfortable room, breakfast was really good with lots of savoury and sweet choices. We were disappointed that the top roof pool was closed but the maize floor one was good enough for the kids to play plus kids area had fun fountains to splash around. It was a perfect one night break between flights!

This hotel is a complete SCAM. Don’t be fooled by the photos; the rooms are far from 5-star hotel quality. I booked a Deluxe room through Hotels.com, but there wasn’t even enough space to turn around in the bathrooms. The rooms were so congested that the showers opened directly into the bedrooms, and the water kept splashing into the room after each shower. As a result, you’ll end up mopping the room every day. The duty manager, ALAA, was rude and unhelpful. Overall, this is the worst hotel, and the service was equally terrible.

The hotel is nice. The staff is plenty and polite. However... buttons in the elevator are elegant but not readable. Mediocre breakfast for 75 AED is terribly expensive, especially when you sit at a table that rocks like a ship in a storm. My room had several issues, among them: hair dryer plug incompatible with the wall outlet; non-functioning telephone and electrical outlet; coffee machine located in a very dim area, thus difficult to operate. This hotel deserves three starts, IMO.

It wasn’t stated at all that the ATM in the hotel is a LOCAL ONLY ATM. It stole my debit card (which I NEVER got back because it was a “Sunday”). I kept asking about how to retrieve that card and even found ATM support on my way out and they couldn’t help. I asked SO MANY staff members and they said there was NOTHING they could do about it!! This really was a nightmare. PLEASE LABEL THE ATM AS NON-FOREIGNER FRIENDLY. This made my experience really bad!!!!

There are some great hotels in Dubai and sadly this is below what I would expect of a 5 star hotel. Room service calls were not answered multiple times and other staff seemed to lack training. The room layout is modern and quite well appointed and it's a short walk to the metro which is handy for the airport and exploring Dubai

Whilst a continent stay, I honestly did expect a bit more from the hotel. I was surprised that upon request, I had to pay for ice. Also, when ordering room service, the tray was chipped which isn’t what I expect from a 5* hotel. The amenities are great & it is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel.
