This hotel was a total disappointment from the time Our driver dropped us off. We arrived in the evening, they showed us the room.It was dirty.They told us that the pictures that were posted on this Website were twelve years old they are completely photoshopped.The hotel smelled like cigarettes, and I had a three year old with me when I told them I was going to call expedia customer service.The representative told me that they had to contact the hotel.The people at the front desk told someone they called not to answer the phone from a whatsapp number.Which means it can sure expedia, probably calls from whatsapp.So I was able to get no resolution or solution to the situation.Thank god in the morning.When the management arrived, she was the only single person that had any kind of decency.She was helpful and understood what I was trying to explain to her.Please don't stay at this hotel.You will be so disappointed.It's nothing like what it says on expedia

My stay at Somewhere Apartment was suitable if you’re in the Dubai area for shopping or a long stay. While the staff provided good service, the property itself is not well managed. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone seeking a quiet and relaxing vacation.

3 day business trip. Convenient location to subway, mall, local shops. Good staff. Microwave in room didn't work. Good wifi. Comfortable bed, pillows. Restaurant in hotel was good. There are cheaper options in the area within walking distance. Would stay here again.

I emailed and asked if we could check-in earlier as we would be checking out at 3am and was told there is a charge for early check-in and late check-out, asked about breakfast ignored. We arrived and was told check-in is at 2pm. At 2pm told a smoking room was available, but our booking was non-smoking, offered another smoking room but had to wait for it to be cleaned. Microwave doesn't work, toaster trips the fuse, TV won't work, toaster doesn't work. You have to lower/increase volume TV from the TV itself. Was told microwave would be replaced, they didn't do it, had to ask them again for them to replace. Bathroom kept smelling of curry. I provided online feedback and the day before we check-out receieved a courtesy call to say they will check everything so I said we're checking out what's the point. Just really dissapointing, only advantage next to Deira City Centre and Metro.

It is near the airport and just next to the metro station. There is a big shopping mall and number of supermarkets in walking distance as well as bunch of good and inexpensive dining options. I was upgraded to a bigger apartment at the reception (from studio to one bedroom) which was very nice. Apartment was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

We’ve stayed here before and we were surprised at how much it had changed in just a few years. Easy check in but charged a resort fee but it’s not a resort. Even I asked she said she didn’t know. There are no resort amenities that she could list. The rooms used to have numerous towels but now just have one hand towel and two towels. No wash clothes at all. No soaps or shampoo just dispensers with nothing marked as to what they were. A very bad orange stain in the tub and it was dirty. The kitchen has very little dishes, a pot and one pan. No dish liquid or way of washing dishes. The floors were dirty and you could feel things crushing under your shoes. The furniture is very hard so you cannot sit on it for very long. The internet was horrible but complaining did not good. The room would not stay cool and had a bad smell that they only css as me and sprayed s freshener that only masked the smell. They never offered to move us.

The Pros and Cons of Staying Here Detailed

It's a great, convenient location. You're right there at the Metro and across the street from a huge mall with shopping, dining, etc. Plus a bus station (we took bus there to Sharjah) is a block away. WiFi is best of any of the 4 UAE hotels I stayed at: you don't even need a passcode. I was upgraded to a suite which had a second washroom (without tub shower) but convenient for a couple. Front desk is good. Now the negative. The rooms are large but with dark wood fairly dreary. The microwave didn't work but engineer came up quickly to replace it. There was no hair dryer but someone quickly brought one up which didn't even work so we just did without blow drying hair. The sink in the smaller bathroom was diffiult to regulate water temperature. The bathtub water in the larger bathroom was so hot I had it turned to cold water but only scalding hot water came out. I threw in pots of cold water to no avail. Something desperately wrong with the plumbing here. The soap in bathroom is in container on wall and you can't take it out so you have no control on how or where it squirt which is annoying. If you need something, they bring it up in a flash. But there was so much annoyingly wrong here. But gotta love that location!

Absolutely Skip Breakfast.

The hotel itself was fine. Good people on the desk and concierge. Rooms are sizable, clean and with good amenities. Area is relatively convenient next to a shopping center, train station and airport.
However... we went to breakfast in the hotel cafe. Bread rolls were rock hard stale and clearly old. I told the friendly waitress this, and she asked the kitchen staff member who was right next to her if the bread was new, and he simply laughed at her. I tried a donut, and it too was rock hard. Mentioned this to the waitress that it was unedible, and again nothing was done. Unacceptable. Omelette was cold and had dark patches in it, so in light of the old bread, we decided it was too dangerous to eat. Went to get coffee, and there was none left. This was while there were only 5 people in total in the cafe. We paid and left, and mentioned how poor the experience was to reception, asking for the detail to be passed on to the manager. The manager made no contact with us during our stay.

A really poor experience. Steer clear of the cafe.

The only thing I like is the location, next to Deira metro station, very convenient.
As far as hotel is concern, it’s a good hotel but with less amenities and old furniture, gym is also very very small, need to add few more machines just like other 4 star hotel.
Breakfast is good, but not interested in doing extra like out of 4 nights I only get twice my choice of egg otherwise they wished to use what they have prepared.
Key entry lock is also very pathetic sometimes open otherwise not, then I used some technique to open the door. A fire fighting drill also create my whole door in hell.

The location is fantastic for Sky Trainline and City Centre shopping mall. The welcoming Mr. Elsayyed was excellent, the room and most areas needs a face left. Perhaps 20 years ago it would have been high class. The hotel decor of old style and hardly major facelift had taken place for a long time.
Staff in general are very good but whole environment needs a major modification. Room is too dark, water pressure and cold, hot is not normal due to age “not efficient”. The coffee shop is very comfortable but food is of a poor quality, coffee is extremely “bad” food selection is 2 star although staff are pleasant. Because am traveling regularly and can’t tell this hotel having maintenance issues. Car park is good. Management need to look closely to the quality of food, start replacing furniture and bathroom. Beds are good, pillows acceptable although no latex or memory foam made available on request. For transit passengers it’s very convenient and value for money. I don’t think I would consider the hotel again as there are more choices in Dubai. The place is ok but definitely not a wow.

We love it!

Our 7-night stay was amazing! The staff were nice and friendly. It's location is just a stone's throw away from the metro station and the mall. Also, there are a lot of nearby restaurants, cheap souvenir shops and supermarket. The executive suite was perfect for us. It was large enough for 2 people. Housekeeping did a great job and always kept our room tidy. We were able to cook our breakfast everyday and wash our clothes. All of the appliances were working perfectly.
Cons: no cold water coming out of the bathroom's faucet & no hair dryer provided
Regardless of those things, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose Somewhere Hotel again if ever we'll be back in Dubai!

Besides the hotel itself being great I love the location. It is right across from a mall and the subway. The staff was great and gave me a free room upgrade just because I had stayed there before. The best part for me was the fact that I was able to take the subway to Terminal 3 right inside the airport for only 6 dirham’s. Super convenient !!!

I have been using online portals for hotels since more than 10 years, I usually ignore and forget issues at the hotel. But the abysmal service at this hotel is making me write the review for the first time:
1. We were moved to a room for handicapped people upon arrival even-though the original reservation paper mentioned another room, the receptionist changed it when we were checking in.
2. The room was smelling of smoke even-though we asked for a non-smoking room
3. The room-service had a habit of not putting towels in the wash-room, we asked for them when we got back, it took them more than 1.5 hr to bring them
4. The person at the reception is beyond rude, he does not have the courtesy of giving full proper replies.
5. The room service did not clean our dirty dishes in the sink, when we asked, they did not have a reply. Later they said it was not included in the \"service\". I have a toddler who is often sick, so we always stay in serviced apartments so that we could make basic rice/porridge for her, we regularly stay at other serviced apartments in the same area in Dubai also. Never has anyone not had such a basic service included with the room. When we asked them to give us dish cleaning sponge and soap so that we could clean it ourselves, they refused that also (rudely).
I had a 6 night stay in Dubai, I had paid them for 2 nights in advance; checked out the third night and shifted to another apartment nearby. Over-all a horrible experience.

The overall facilities were of a good standard, however, the toiletries and tea/coffee supplies did not appear to match the four star standard of the property. This provided a slightly jarring note to my stay, as the overall standard of facilities was not maintained evenly. The numbers of cutlery items and associated supporting items was also spotty.

Somewhere was worth the price

It’s located within walking distance of Deira City Centre. You can easily have access to food and shopping within minutes. Hotel was nice and comfortable. We were upgraded to the 1 bedroom apartment which was nice, a small kitchen to cook in and a living area.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times; however my biggest complaint is the bathroom. The bathtub/shower needs to be renovated-it has a glass which only covers half the tub, which means water goes all over the floor. I would recommend putting a full shower curtain or full glass in the tub. Additionally, there are not enough towels given in the bathroom to use for a shower and to clean up the floor after the water goes everywhere. It would also be nice if the management would include bath slippers in each room so that you don't have to walk on the wet floor after taking a shower.

Very clean hotel. Room very spacious, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and toilet. Hotel is right opposite Deira City Centre Mall. Also 3 stops from Terminal 3 Airport.
Staff are excellent. They allowed me to check in at 12.00 noon instead of waiting till 2.00pm.
I will definitely stay there again.

Lovely apartment style room.

This was a super place to stay. It is right across the street from the metro and also across the street from the Deira City Center mall where you can find everything you need from souvenirs to laundry soap,and much cheaper than in the famous big malls. There is a huge supermarket called Carrefours within the mall where the folks who live here actually shop so you know its a good place.
There is even a washer dryer in the room's kitchen so you can catch up on laundry, which is a good thing in Dubai's heat.
The staff are fantastic. The only downside to the whole experience was the overpowering room freshener in the lobby. Once you get past that everything is glorious!

I have made a booking by mistake to a different branch same hotel brand and they have refused to transfer me to the one that I really want to stay in I have contact th hotel both branch spoke to the manager but they were so rude and they told me to contact Hotel.com although I did contact Hotel.com and they couldn’t do anything I end up deciding that I will never use this app or stay at this hotel anymore plus I will tell all my friends and customers since I work for Etihad Airways that they shouldn’t use Hotel.com app or stay at this hotel

I had a great experience at this hotel recently. Very nice clean hotel; however it could stand to have bath slippers and wash cloths in the bathroom. I realize this is a hotel apartment but no one likes to walk around on a floor with bare feet after they get out of the shower. Additionally, once I checked in I put the do not disturb sign up since I was tired. Upon waking up and leaving the room, I found that the sign had been removed from my door. Not sure what that was about but I told the front desk person of the situation.

As for the check in process it was smooth and an upgrade was offered. It was a very spacious room with most of the comforts from home. I also enjoyed the breakfast that came with the room. The breakfast staff was very accommodating and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to be near mall and metro. Very nice stay.

The only issue I had was for some reason my booking showed for one person; it was supposed to be for two. Expedia couldn't sort it out and neither could the hotel, although the manager made an exception for one day, we only received breakfast for one the next day.

Good hotel close to airport .

Good aparthotel. Next to metro 3 stops from Dubai airport. Large shopping centre opposite. Good breakfast and clean rooms. Efficient staff. Good for stop over.

Good hotel close to transport & shopping center

We had booked non-smoking rooms but were given smoking rooms. This was fixed after a day and we were compensated for the inconvenience by an upgrade. Staff were very helpful. The rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good with variety of choices. Excellent location near metro, airport and shopping center and away from business of downtown Dubai.

Great location on metro red line

Great value option near creek. On metro line ( metro stop right outside the door!) so easy access to airport & all the malls. Stayed here first 2 nights before moving to Palm. Great value restaurants nearby. Perfect start to holiday.

Really enjoyed my stay, the location was great, right across the street from the mall and next to a subway enterence, and near many restaurants. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely book again.
