Great location and great price. Super friendly staff as well. There are restaurants in walking distance and a shopping mall with great grocery store directly across the street. Most days, this hotel is only about 10 minutes from the airport. Will def stay here again.

I booked a family room for four people and selected what appeared to be the largest option available when booking. However, upon arrival, I was told that all rooms are the same size. The room we received was very small. To accommodate four guests, the hotel converted a sofa into a bed and added an extra small bed. Both the sofa bed and the additional bed were extremely uncomfortable and made a lot of noise—very poor quality overall.

The bathroom was also disappointing: it was not clean, and there was no privacy. There was a massive gap around the bathroom door, which made the experience very uncomfortable.

I tried to change rooms, but was informed that all rooms were identical in size, so there was no alternative. If you are traveling as a group of four, do not be misled by the “family room” description or the impression of larger space. It is not suitable for four people.

The room smelled extremely humid and slightly like urine. Hard to breath.

When calling housekeeping, we were asked to not be too demanding.

However the front desk and the actual ckeaners if the rooms were helpful.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. Unfortunately, everything else was a major disappointment.

We booked the room for 4 people, but the room was extremely tiny and completely unsuitable for that many people. There was only one proper bed for a single person and a very small sofa bed with no comforter or proper bedding provided. As a result, three of us had to squeeze onto the one-person bed, while the person on the tiny sofa bed had to sleep without any comforter at all and stayed awake most of the night.

The service was very poor and unhelpful when we raised these issues. No effort was made to provide additional bedding or improve the situation.

I had a delightful weekend stay at the Novotel Deira. The staff were all vry kind, helpful and attentive. The breakfast was a great value and a great way to start the day.

I enjoyed early morning walks in the park adjacent to the hotel and evening stops in Vertigo, the lobby bar.

Staff was generally helpful. However, new staff with change of shift gave our room away and we had to wait longer. Room had water damage, carpet was mouldy and twrribly smelly. Very concern for our health. We were given another roo. But the issues were the same. The smell was a little less and we only plan to stay for half a day so we put up with it. Very disappointed as we expected better from Novotel.

Backdated property..staff at desk very limited in explanation..room amenities very poor..AC not working properly, key card locations in elevator and parking access not working..dirty room carpet. Bathroom: shower cabin and toilet, very small and hardly enough space to move within. Very dirty finishing of corner material..very much mouldy and therefor grey..apologies for geing so specific and sharp with comments. Hotel was a big disappointment: needs urgent maintenance and redecoration of room. Only positive matter to mention is the closeness to the City Center Mall. An experience NOT worth repeating.

Staff were very polite and helpful. We arrived sooner than check in time and they provided room 2 hours sooner that check in time. The breakfast was very good. But the room was dirty, and there were bug in the bathroom. Also there were lots of noise in lobby and in bedrooms( however for bedrooms I don’t blame Hotel, people arrived late around 2 or 3 AM and careless of time they made lots of noise!

Really liked how close this property was to the Dubai Airport which made it convenient upon arrival and departure to help avoid long drives in traffic. The staff was very helpful and supportive for any of our needs especially around getting us the best prices for transportation to and from the hotel - whether it was the hotel drivers & cars or just using taxis they always helped us get the best prices.
What we didn't like was the actual hotel property felt dated and could definitely use a refresh and remodel to help it feel more current and revitalized.

The room itself was in poor condition – old, dirty, and unpleasantly smelly. The bathroom mirrored this with outdated and unsanitary conditions. It's disheartening to say that this falls far below the standards I would expect, especially for a hotel in Dubai that claims to be a 4 star establishment. I would generously rate it one and a half stars at the most. My stay here was far from the quality I anticipated and not reflective of the usual standards in Dubai's hospitality.

Our room was booked for 2 adults and 3 children. On arrival the room only had a one double bed and we were assured it was a double sofa bed as well. When someone arrived to make the bed up, we had to request an additional bed as it was barely a single size so not adequate for our needs. We arrived at 1.30am and the room should have been ready for our arrival and all beds made up. This delay in sorting the bedding arrangements delayed our children getting to sleep until 3.30am.

excellent stay. this hotel is highly recommended . rooms are good for the money-bathroom , shower, bed,linens, air conditioning-all very good. the staff-from check in to check out-all polite, always willing to accommodate their guests-they even granted us a late checkout. location is perfect-at least 5 inexpensive but nice restaurants beside the hotel, then there's the deira city center mall in front-just across the street, then the metro station is just 2 minutes walk.

It’s a good location, a few minutes walk from the Deira City Center mall and the metro. It’s also not too far from the souks. Most of the staff I met were welcoming, lovely and helpful. The gentleman that checked me in was patient and welcoming. There were about 4 of us waiting to be attended to but he tried to be as quick as possible. The team member in charge of tours encouraged me to try the metro for the first time and I enjoyed it. You get an iron, ironing board, dryer, bath tub and shower, mini fridge, bottles of water, safe, etc in your room. They try to provide your every need.

Downsides - cleanliness is a no no. There was an old peanut stuck to the telephone in my room and the handset was dirty. The room had a stuffy smell that denotes more cleaning of the furniture or carpets is required. I was quite uncomfortable due to the stuffy smell so spent a lot of time outdoors. In addition, the maintenance team decided to do some work after 9pm right on top of my room. I wish they had done that during the day when I was out instead of hammering that late at night. There were no USB ports for charging in the room so my devices went off but a lovely female member of the security team downstairs assisted me to charge my watch.
I think this hotel would benefit from a slight upgrade of in-room facilities and enhanced cleanliness.

Over all, it is a good hotel. Rooms are too small especially for families. The room smell dumpy and humid at all times. There was no window to allow air come in and out. Staff are amazingly cooperative and so professional. The location of the hotel is perfect. Food including hot and cold drinks are at its doorstep. Very close to the deira city center.

It has run down a lot - the rooms are noisy, and the front desk staff is not professional and helpful s as they used to be! Do not honour professional commitments. However, Cleaning and Porter service staffs were excellent and exceptionally helpful!

Decent hotel, great location, easy train access

I've stayed here before and was happy to chose this hotel again for my recent trip. But something has changed. The overall level of service was pretty bad. Check-in was ok, but that was about it. I called housekeeping/front desk 8-10 times during a 4-day stay. No shower cap, wash cloth or lotion. Not able to make local calls from the room. Asked to have morning breakfast in my room. For each issue I had to call multiple times or finally walk to front desk to ask. On a good note, the lady with braids who worked security went above and beyond to be helpful. Seemed like she understood hospitality better than the staff.

I’m very disappointed with the allocated unit compared to property advertisement. The description said double room with sofa bed but in reality it means single room with a queen bed, sofa bed in a very congested sqft. The bathroom has no locks and glass doors and it is very acquared to use bathroom with family members.
