Best place to stay on the island. It is private and small and quiet. It is far enough away from downtown and the traffic. The food at the resort is good and the staff was warm and welcoming. Javier is amazing and I would recommend doing the VIP tour with Andres “Jack Sparrow” Julianna made amazing drinks while serving them with a smile

Great location since it’s right on the beach. The idea of the room inside a white ship container is pretty unique but in overall the room needs some renovations as some stuff are lottery falling apart. We had an issue with lacking of warm water in the shower 3 night out of 4. The cleanliness of the room is below standard. The staff makes up for all the deficiencies.

This hotels is comprised of eco friendly cubes as rooms. They are small by American standards yet quite sufficient for a stay, Comfortable king size bed and shower. Limited closet space but ok. The property is very well maintained and showcases a wonderful outdoor covered restaurant and fun bar. One highlight is the beach which is awesome and clean. Plenty of lounges chairs and cabana beds. Service is awesome while dining. In addition service is extended to the beach which is wonderful

Let me first say that the negative reviews are wrong. Yes, there is hot water, the rooms are small but very clean. The staff for a struggling spanish speaker are very polite and patient. The staff do speak english, so do not worry. Now let me say this..the 31 year old chef is amazing. The food was so good we and many other guest did not need to go into town for food. Thank goodness they do not have a pastre chef. If we had desserts, I will need to buy new clothes after the vacation. Seriously, the chef, the staff, the property, the views and all of San Andres is amazing. I am coming back again and again. Excellent!!!

The hotel staff was beyond amazing. They were very attentive and willing to help with any needs. The rooms were a few steps to the beach. The ac worked just fine. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious. The hotel is located away from the crowded downtown area. Enjoyed a bike ride along the coast with the bikes the hotel provided.

The beach area for this beach was nice, although the time of year is maybe not ideal as there was a lot of seaweed on the beach and didn't smell great. The hotel rooms are decent but are incredibly small.

this is a great place if you really want to get away from it all: you have to be willing to live without internet - very important. It is DIRECTLY on the beach and away from downtown, so the focus is on quiet and couples time. food was very good although room was so small, it presented a problem on where to put things. this is not a great place if you want to just cuddle in the room. very good if you want to spend most of your time outside.

We also REALLY appreciated Gerry who helped us, went above and beyond when our room lost power, he cleaned another and helped us move at 4:30am. Love the beach, the limonadas, the burger and fries, the breakfast and chocolate dessert were delicious!!! LOVE the breakfast. Some of the waiters were happy to help, others were less enthused and breakfast did not open at 7am which is frustrating if you have a tour to get to as this lovely beach is a bit further from el centro. The french toast, fruit, salchicha and fruit juice are amazing! I love the decks with chairs and the cabana beds. I would recommend keeping pet friendly rooms to those who have pets and keeping others pet free as both of our rooms had different areas that smelled like a dog or cat had peed on floor/ cabinet. Also please restock two towels for beach, two for shower and shower floor towel/ mat as we need them all and when house keeping came in, our towels would be less. There was also a little mold along the shower edges in one of the rooms- treat it/ bleach it and it will be good as new! Hot showers can be hit or miss, mostly warm, a couple cold showers. Street music/ party music can be loud at times but not every night. Overall this place is lovely! I would go back for sure! Beautiful beach, wonderful reception staff and Gerry, amazing breakfast, burger and limonadas, nice ice cream shop just down the road (rocky cay ice cream shop)

The property is lovely and loved the area but the restaurant people for my breakfast make me wait 55 minutes to ask me what I wanted for breakfast. When I asked for the manager, she was very rude. I paid full price that included breakfast but we didn’t get any breakfast at all and still charged me full price

The beach is the best part. There are only 20 or so tiny rooms stuffed into a container, and therefore the beach is relatively uncrowded compared to other areas. However, the beach has lots of seaweed, which is rarely cleaned up. Overall it has a lovely beach, beautiful water, jet ski rental, and a nearby beachfront restaurant a block away from the hotel. Comfort in the rooms is very lacking.

Fabulous place to stay as a couple retreat. Slightly away from the tourist but close enough to be there as well. My expectations were met. My fiancé loved the water is beautiful. This is way better than those expensive hotels. Trust me you will love it. Will definitely come back here if the chance is given. The pictures are exactly what you hope to see in person. Love it!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly. The pictures are a good representation of the property. We loved having the beach just steps from our room. The onsite restaurant had a good variety of food and each meal was quite good. A taxi is necessary to access other parts of the island and ranged from 20-30 mil pesos per trip. My only negative is that they put away the beach chairs and cushions between 6-7 pm. Reina del Mar should definitely be on your list for consideration when you are in San Andres.
