The hotel itself was lovely, we got a room in the newer part of the hotel and it was very modern. The only issue we really had was that despite booking a family room with a balcony for us as a couple, we only received one pillow, single duvet and one towel in the room. By the time we realised we only had one single duvet and towel, there was nobody in the reception to resolve this so we had to make do with that overnight! The room was also incredibly warm with no aircon so we could only open the windows, which meant we could hear trains very early in the morning. The views were stunning though and would stay again, just making sure we had the correct amount of towels etc first at check-in!

If you are going to visit Zermatt and.the Matterhorn this a great place to stay. It is right next to the train station and has a parking garage. Breakfast is excellent and they also have a restaurant for dinner. Supurb.

Hotel was very convenient being right next to the train station to go into Zermatt. There are a few dining options across the street along with a small supermarket. It has paid parking available for 10 Swiss francs a night. I was in a room that was in am the newer wing of the hotel so the bathroom and room were in pretty good condition, and everything was clean. The included hot breakfast was a nice plus.

The only con is there’s no air conditioning. But since it’s not too hot during our stay so it’s not really an issue for us.

Property is right next to Tasch station - 1 minute walk to reach! Hotel was nice and breakfast buffet was fantastic. Only thing was that there was brown liquid from the taps likely due to clogged contents in the pipes from the snowstorm that hit just a couple of days before.

Unbeatable location

Location, location, location! The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Seriously it’s just right in front of the train station. You can wear your ski boots with your ski gears walk out from the hotel’s ski room directly to catch the train in 2 mins. It’s just like a ski-in/ski-out hotel to Zermatt. The free breakfast was good while dinner lack of choices. Overall, it’s an excellent hotel if you want to ski in Zermatt, but don’t want to stay in Zermatt town (No car allowed).

Great staff and beautiful accommodation.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Täscherhof where we received an unexpected upgrade to a deluxe suite which included breakfast. The staff were friendly especially Maria who made us feel very welcome and also looked after us in the restaurant which we also recommend.

The room smelled like mold. I got sick staying there one night. They gave us an ADA room as an upgrade and I couldn’t even sit on the toilet seat without my feet hanging. Overall a bad place to stay

The check in process was fast and easy. Ladies at the desk where sweet and helpful with smiles. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Balcony was amazing and the view was incredible! Next to the train station, and a store if you need anything. I loved it here and i cant wait to go again!

Hotel was great, staff was great and eager to please. Spoke English and French at front desk, some of the waitresses serving in the hotel restaurant near more languages. Location was perfect, right next to train and bus stations. Our shortest commute to any hotel on our trip and we stayed at 5 hotels on our ten day vacation in Switzerland. This hotel is literally right next to the train and bus station. Hotel food was great, we had supper there and also the free breakfast. Breakfast was good variety, meats, cheese, bread and jams and Nutella, fruit, coffee and juice. Coop grocery store just across the street. Room was very good size, had a couch/living area and deck outside. Bathroom was a good size also. Rooms were clean, all hotel was clean. Staff friendly. Great place to stay.
Had easy access to bus/train service to the Matterhorn lookouts.

Great location, just few steps away from the Matterhorn Täsch Terminal for trains and buses going to Zermatt.
Across the hotel are Coop and Migros for food and grocery shopping very convenient if you need something.
Few restaurants and pizza places very close by.
Hotel room and bathroom was a good size and clean.
No airconditioner.
At least this one has a pitcher that you can warm water to drink for tea or coffee.
Easy underground parking if you have a car at 10 Swiss Franch, cheaper than other hotels.

Right next to the Matterhorn Terminal. Very clean and convenient. Took 13 mins to get to Zermatt by shuttle train that depart every 20 mins. Would highly recommend this if you are travelling by train with luggage. Also had good view in the balcony and shopping/restaurants across the street. Everything is just nearby within walkable distance. Can’t go wrong.

A great stay in a beautiful mountain village

The stay at hotel taeschof was great. The cleanliness of the room and the facility is spectacular. The facilities are very well maintained for an older building. We spent two nights and left refreshed after three long days of travel. The staff was efficient and helpful after we had checked out we had to return as my wife had forgotten her watch. The young lady at the desk immediately went to our room and came back with it. We're traveling by train and the hotel is at the edge of the bus and train station property very convenient when dragging luggage. Our room was on the side of the hotel away from the train tracks and there's some noise from the trains leaving and arriving but we adapted to it quickly and did not disturb our rest. Overall a great stay in a beautiful place.

Ideal spot near train station

We stayed for 1 night after arriving in Zermatt on the Glacier Express. It was so easy to find the shuttle train to Tasch and you can see the hotel as you get off the shuttle. Beautiful mountain views all around.
Friendly check in, a comfortable room in the chalet with colourful traditional Swiss furniture and we were lucky to have a wonderful mountain view on the balcony. The beds were comfortable amd with the shutters fully closed, the sound if the railway was muffled.
It was easy to get to a restaurant nearby or we could have had a table at the hotel. We couldn't just sit in the bar though.
