Wow! An incredible hotel. I was given a free upgrade with a balcony and a view of the Matterhorn. The room was amazing. Plenty of space and excellent decor. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff were friendly, My room was decorated for my birthday. Spa area, again Wow! This hotel has to be one of the top hotels Ive stayed in.

Our stay at Alpen resort was magical. Could be that Switzerland is magical but this resort was wonderful. We should have planned more nights here. Views are incredible and the ease of getting to r restaurants or anywhere in Zermatt was easy. We had 5 people traveling and the room with the loft was perfect. We used the spa and the pool area and it was also beautiful. The room was very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We did the 6.5 mile 5 lakes hike, definitely recommend, and came back to relax in the pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back. 💕

This place is paradise! I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay! To start, the view from our room and balcony was breath taking! Our room and especially our bathroom were beautiful! The pool and spa area was unreal, and the perfect way to spend an evening! It was a short walk from the hotel to the train station, which was very convenient! We were stuck here during the snow storm that hit Zermatt and caused the trains to be closed for two days. The staff did the best they could to provide entertainment, warm food and a place to say while we waited out the train. The hotel has great amenities, pool and spa services. Also only a very short walk to downtown shops and restaurants and the ski shops and lifts to the mountains! We will be back!

Our first time to Zermatt. The resort is at the excellent location with spacious room and view for our family of 4 . We booked the half board with our stay which included breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were better than expected. The dinner was excellent and just how I wanted to experience the Swiss traditional food . It was 3 courses dinners and not buffet style. The pool and kid play area is very relaxing after a day full of activities. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. We had great experience overall.

but the service was a bit chaotic for us. we waited at the taxi station for more than 20 mins, no one came to pick us up, despite we called several times. we walked to the hotel with our luggages, the reception staff just explained that they were busy. Just a 5 minute walk to the train station although they also have a small shuttle to pick you up or drop you off (which helps if you have much luggage). There is a grocery store just 2 minute walk as well and it’s about 10 minutes to old town area. The shuttle train to the viewpoint for the Matterhorn is just across the street from the train station. Accommodations, food, and staff were terrific.

This hotel was a highlight of our Switzerland trip. We've got upgraded to a panoramic room and watching the sunrise hit Matterhorn in the morning never gets old. Large room, spa, breakfasts, ice cream at 3 o'clock - everything was top notch. The only thing I wanted was for it to be closer to the other side of town. It's hard to drag your feet across the whole town after an all day hike in the mountains.

This stay was incredible. The shuttle from the train was so easy and convenient and our driver was SO friendly. The rooms were amazing for families with kids. We had a view of the Matterhorn from our deck. The pool was amazing and as it’s indoor we could use it no matter what. Our first night we ate downstairs in the pub and our server was incredible. If I ever make it back to Zermatt, there’s no where else I’d rather stay.

Nice comfortable rooms over 2 or 3 sites packed close together in traditional Swiss chalet design. Road through to the main Zermatt centre runs alongside property and it's an easy few minutes walk to many shops and train stations to the Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn as well as some lovely walks just around the surrounding valley.

We booked june 26-28 thru terrible Expedia. There was a flood calamity thatvtime they close somw roads going to that hotel so we canceled our booking. They agreed to refund us but to initiate refund i have to oay penalty fee so I did .After 2 days they said they will not refund even they gave me confirmation for the refund .My family was disappointed imagine the fear and looking for a place to stay that time because the the flood and even the train we booked refunded us but this hotel and Expedia did not look at after the safety and comfort of their customers. They are after their business and money .They don't really care the vacation that every family has prepared and in the event of inevitable circumstances like natural disaster they don't really care as long as you paid them.The hotel asking me to review my stay .They should stop deceiving people especially famijy with kids traveling from another country like us.

This is my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Compared to other places in Zermatt, this one was very affordable given the great quality and amenities. Five minute walk from the train station, great dining options right inside the hotel, and very friendly/helpful staff. Room was so clean and modern, loved the rainfall shower.

This is such a fun stay in Zermatt. The hotel has such an awesome aesthetic with great restaurants on site. The pool/spa area is absolutely amazing. We visited during off season and had the outdoor hot tub to ourselves. It was blissful after a day of travel. The rooms were super comfortable and the food at the restaurant was satisfying. Very cool vibe overall and it would be a pleasure to stay here again!

Alpen resort was by far the best hotel I’ve been to. The room, pool & spa were all very clean and well-maintained. The spa here was the highlight of my Zermatt trip. The shuttle service is very convenient, and if you don’t have too much luggage, you can walk to/from the station! What can I say? After two weeks in Switzerland and Italy, Alpen Resort was our FAVORITE of the 7 places we stayed!
The room was comfortable and clean (the only thing that would make this room better would be a fan)! The Matterhorn was out, weather was perfect, included breakfast buffet was great and the pool/hot tub was fantastic! Great job!

Very impressed with this hotel. Top notch modern facilities in the heart of the Alps. Great view of the Matterhorn's tip from the terrace. We stayed in the family suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend it to families visiting Zermatt. Will stay here again if we come back here, which we hopefully will. It's a serenely beautiful place!

I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this hotel, albeit only for one night. The hotel is only minutes walk from the Bahnhof and town, but utterly peaceful and calm. They gave me a complimentary room upgrade that made me not even want to go outside (but the Matterhorn won). Nonetheless, I enjoyed the warm whirlpool after my hike and enjoyed hot tea on the balcony. The next morning, I had a satisfying breakfast at the restaurant and went on my way. The hotel personnel would be happy to cater to your every request.
