Rooms were beautiful, staff was beyond responsive to every need. They meet you at the train station and transfer to the hotel. Spa amenities were fabulous. Breakfast is served in the most beautiful room with a glass ceiling and incredible views. Won’t stay anywhere else in Zermatt!!

Absolutely unforgettable doesn’t even begin to cover our stay at Hotel Zermatterhof. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond in every possible way, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble at any time, no matter how small the request. The level of service was simply exceptional and made us feel truly special throughout our stay.

The facilities are outstanding: elegant, immaculately maintained, and perfectly designed for both comfort and relaxation. Every detail reflects quality and thoughtfulness, creating an atmosphere of effortless luxury.

The location is nothing short of breathtaking. Set in the heart of Zermatt and surrounded by stunning Alpine scenery, it felt like stepping into a postcard, especially at Christmas. We were lucky enough to experience a truly magical Swiss Christmas, complete with snow-dusted mountains, festive charm, and an atmosphere that felt straight out of a fairytale.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The Zermatterhof didn’t just meet expectations, it exceeded them in every way. A flawless experience and a hotel we will treasure forever and absolutely return to.

All the staff are super prompt and friendly, especially the staff handling breakfast, spa who makes me feel very welcomed! Fast check in ans thanks to the staff handling my check in, for the free upgrade. The one bedroom is super nice and big and everything looks so wonderful. Housekeeping is very diligent and do housekeeping twice a day. Breakfast is very good, gym is very good, the whole hotel looks magnificient and grand (wow). Would definitively love to stay in there again, its the best hotel i ever stayed in switzerland so far.

Check-in was poor, we were not picked up at train station as promised. Also, room was not ready, and when concierge gave us room key , again room still needed to be cleaned ☹️. However, after manager intervened, all great. He gave us an upgrade (suite), with Matterhorn view😊👍. Thereafter, everything great, wonderful staff and excellent breakfast.

Everything from the lovely staff to the stunning hotel itself was perfect for our honeymoon. The view from our room was incredible and the hotel is situated in the middle of town which made everything very accessible. By far the best experience of our trip was the Hotel Zermatterhof. We were in room 206 and had a PERFECT view of the Matterhorn as the sun rose each morning. The staff was beyond our expectations. The hotel is stunning. Pictures do not do it justice. The outside terrace area is so nice to enjoy a drink at the end of a long day. One front desk worker took his evening off to try to locate some of the rare black nosed sheep, that we’d been hoping to see, and found them for us! Will wholeheartedly recommend and encourage any visitor to choose this hotel!

The stay at the GH Zermatterhof has been one of these special and rare stays for us where you spend one night, yet you feel it has been at least 5 days! Starting from the pick-up in style with a horse-carriage to attune us to a car-free Zermatt, followed by a smiley, warm welcome, to honoring our Expedia status (which is not a given at all hotels) to a wonderful room with view on the infamous \"Matterhorn\" (Cervin), to a wonderful, intimate dinner at the hotel restaurant, to being whisked away again in the horse carriage, and more. In short, a hotel that distinguishes itself by its staff from many others. This is an extraordinarily difficult time for the hotel business and at the Zermatterhof, they did not miss one step. Bravo, staff, bravo, hotel management. And thank you.

This property is perfect! Perfect view of Matterhorn. Staff are excellent! Hotel is beautiful. They upgraded us to a suite with balcony. Picked us up and back to train station in a horse drawn carriage. Staying at the Zermattoff Grand Hotel made our Switzerland trip perfect! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!

This was an excellent property with wonderful and attentive staff. I loved my room with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The morning breakfast buffet was outstanding -- more food than you can eat, and it was included in the price of the hotel room. The rooms have a nice Swiss lodge feel, while also incorporating modern touches. I did find the bed to be quite hard and uncomfortable, but the housekeepers brought in mattress toppers after my first night and that helped tremendously. Be prepared for early morning wakeup calls: the neighboring Catholic Church starts ringing the bells at 645am and thereafter every 15 minutes. Sometimes the bells would get stuck and ring for 8 minutes straight. While I love the sound of European church bells, I could have done without the early start. That's not the hotel's fault, but it's something to be aware of before you book. That said, the property is in a great location in Zermatt, very centrally located. Loved my stay here - would definitely return, but would pack ear plugs the next time!

Beautiful and gorgeous hotel. This is our second time to stay in this lovely hotel and I would definitely recommend the hotel for its service and accommodation. The staff (especially Jazmin) were very accommodating and courteous. They gave us a free upgrade (again) with a great view of the Matterhorn! Both times of our stays :) Breakfast is great! The crew was very attentive too.

The location in the centre of Zermatt is excellent but it was the friendly staff that impressed the most. My room was well laid out, clean but small for a double. The breakfast is fantastic and the facilities first rate. Overall a great choice for Zermatt.

A fabulous hotel and location. They have invested in upgrades over the years and it shows. The rooms are super with direct views of the Matterhorn, the lobby and restaurants are 5 star and the pool/spa and ski locker areas are very modern. On top of this, the staff go out of their way to help you, even getting me a newspaper late in the afternoon from the store and bringing it personally to me at the spa. Only improvements would be in getting more queen/king sized beds vs. two doubles pushed together w/ better mattresses and the showers can be upgraded w/ higher shower heads and more space.

This hotel can do no wrong - everything was top notch, from the professional, friendly staff who spoke excellent English, the lobby, bars and dining rooms. Hotel rooms were spacious and clean as were the bathrooms. Nice heated towel racks, lovely chocolates and tangerines in the room as a welcome treat, well -appointed ski room and a nice relationship with close-by ski rental store which delivered our ski gear to the hotel after we were fitted and then picked it up from the ski room when we were done skiing- nice service!!! An even nicer touch is the horse-drawn carriage which picked us up at the train station. Beautiful views of the Matterhorn from the breakfast room and some of the hotel rooms. Cannot fault a thing...

Wow... that’s how can I best describe this hotel. I’ve travelled over 20 countries by now and this has been the best hotel I’ve stayed. The spa is very nice (sauna, steam bath, ice grotto, hot tub) , the room is spacious, free soft drinks from the mini bar, complimentary wine bottle, chocolate andwelcome drink when I arrived, breakfast is amazing and staff is corteous... I must say Concierge Katrina was the best. She is extremely knowledgeable about Zermatt and every time I spoke to her it was like I was having a conversation with a friend of mine. She was amazing so if you read this thank you for your hospitality.

Arrival on Horse Carriage with Welcome drink was great. They offered an upgrade as there were available rooms.
Spa and massages were fantastic, the swimming pool though was overcrowded and some of the Russian guests were too noisy and obnoxious for a relaxing Spa.
