Stay here! This property is fantastic! It’s located right in the center of town but on a quiet street all to yourself. Views of the Matterhorn are perfect right next to the church down a pretty street.
Tim, Ruben, and Georgie were so helpful and hospitable. It’s a small property so you feel really taken care of, and they have great recommendations and tips for the town! The breakfast was phenomenal each morning with great fresh meats and cheeses and a fresh omelet from Georgie.
The room is spacious and clean with comfortable beds. We loved the spa downstairs with 2 saunas, a steam room and relaxation suite.
I’ve traveled to many hotels and I’d put this one up against any. If you want to relax and be taken care of stay here!

One of cleanest hotels ever! Nicest host. Treats every guest with respect regardless of nationality or ethnicity. Friendly, but not intrusive. Every request for an iron or ice was handled ASAP. Tim, Marie?& Ruth were great. Best location. Loved the serenity & peace that seemed to attract quiet like-minded couples such as us. Buffet was small but, good & made to order omelette/eggs. Fruit available all day. Nice views even in rear rooms ( loved watching locals tend to their vegetable garden & mountain view)

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. It's easily walkable to all major attractions in Zermatt, at least in summer when I visited. There is no AC, but leaving a window open was comfortable in early September.

This property is amazing! Beautiful in every way. The room was very well equipped and spotless clean. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. I couldn’t imagine having a better experience anywhere else in Zermatt. Of the four hotels we visited in Switzerland, this hotel is far superior to any of the others. My only wish is thst i could have stayed there longer!

Room position was bad , room was on the ground and vie was terrible: we were looking at the garbage container. Room wax dark , no light from outside . Nobody cleaned our room or take dirty cups and garbage!!!

Absolutely wonderful!!! The people and the property!!! We just stayed one night, but from the moment we arrived, everyone was so nice and helpful. They picked us up at the train station and were very welcoming. The property is so beautiful; it's decorated very tastefully and classy. Will definitely stay there again whenever we are in Zermatt.

Our visit to Matterhorn lodge was great! Hands down will come here again, and will refer to family and friends. I feel like you can’t tell in pictures as much, but it’s very nice and modern, and rooms are quite large. Breakfast is delicious, and they will make you any coffee you like! We also enjoyed getting to know the manager, Ruth, who was very friendly and helpful. Also, if you call, someone from the hotel will pick you up and drop you off at the train station when needed. All in all, top tier experience!

The Matterhorn Lodge and Apartments in Zermatt was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The apartment was out of this world the spa area was amazing and the view from the balcony of the Matterhorn was breathtaking

From the soulful breakfast to the quality of the amenities to the attentive service, it was a memorable experience and I will stay here again in the future. The location is perfect as well — easily accessible to all the major trains/cable cars, and right by the village center and restaurants.

Matterhorn Lodge is a top quality hotel in the finest Alpine tradition. It is centrally located with a view of the Matterhorn. The hotel will collect your from the station in their buggy for free. We loved our stay at the Matterhorn Lodge Hotel. The hotel was very warm and inviting and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the spa was lovely and relaxing. The location was perfect for walking to anywhere we wanted to go. The only suggestion I can make is to extend the availability of the spa by an hour or two in the afternoons. We will definitely return and would love to stay here again!

Hotel was too expensive for the value. Sauna facilities were nice, but hotel staff wouldn't allow us to eat in the room. Don't expect an early checkin either. However, the room was pristine.

This hotel is genuinely a gem. The interior is great and the location is superb - close enough to the station to walk with luggage (10 mins tops) but not on the main street so away from the crowds. One criticism - lack of air conditioning. There was a controller in the room by the door, but I couldn't make it work.

The things we liked about the Matterhorn were 1) the room decoration and set up 2) the quiet peaceful location near the main avenue with all the shops and restaurants 3) the friendly and personable staff. It made for such a pleasant stay. We wished we planned for more than one night in Zermatt.

We stayed here on our honeymoon, six nights! This is a smaller hotel with only 16 units, and only 2 or 3 people working reception. We felt like their family the entire time of our stay.
The lodge is in a great location, with a view of the Church steeple and the Matterhorn just outside of the front door. The breakfast and bar area were well appointed, though the bar area was lightly used.
The lodge also had a ski room, with lockers activated by your room key. The lockers even included built in boot dryers! What a nice touch. We were able to keep skis, boots, poles and helmets (x2) in the locker all week. Each time we came and went we were greeted with the most friendly conversations. The staff was so helpful in getting us info on ski rental and restaurant tips as well.
The room itself was great. Just as they look in the pictures with well appointed bathrooms and spacious living areas. Plenty of closet space for you to really move in!
