I enjoyed my stay here! It was a spacious studio, with a small kitchen and sitting area, in addition to the sleeping area. Just what we needed for our ski trip. The bus stop was right across the street which made skiing a breeze! Only negative was when we arrived we didn't realize that we had to check in at a different location, which was a pain because we arrived late and had to navigate town on foot in the dark. I wish check in instructions were clearer, otherwise great!

Clean, comfy and able to see Matterhorn

Very comfortable apartment that is able to view Matterhorn at the balcony. We had a good rest there. Kitchen is clean, bed is comfortable, water is hot enough and water pressure is good. Not in the high street but give us chance to explore more. Very safe and this is the most unforgettable accommodation during my 8 days in Switzerland. We enjoyed cooking there.

In our first room, the bathroom fan stopped working after two days, which caused damp toilet paper and tissues. We coped by moving the toilet paper in and out, though we often forgot. We reported the issue, were told someone would fix it—but no one showed. After following up, we were informed repairs would happen only after we moved out. The repairman later said it needed a new fan, which could take 1–7 days to arrive.

Given the uncertainty, we packed overnight to move. But then we were told we couldn’t get the new room key until 4 p.m.—even though we had booked the full week and the room was ready. This meant we might have no access to our belongings for hours.

We tried waiting in the common area, but there was nowhere comfortable. The first floor was dim and reeked of pesticides. Every time we entered, we had to hold our breath and rush to the elevator in the dark. The motion-sensor lights would finally turn on—just when we no longer needed them. Any electricity saved likely came at the cost of guest comfort.

On our last day, someone finally propped the door open to let the smell out—but by then it didn’t help.

The building photos were taken on a sunny day to look appealing, but in reality the cracked, uneven pathway made pushing luggage uphill a challenge. This place is not worth the money saved.

Was there during the April 2025 snowstorm when Zermatt lost power for a couple days. They provided breakfast for guests at the partner Alpen Resort Hotel and Spa down the street also for the guests at the Patricia apartments. When we went to Alpen to inquire about staying an extra night at Patricia due to not being able to leave Zermatt, they couldn’t provide us a price, but welcomed us to stay and make ourselves comfortable in the common areas of the Alpen. All the staff there was very welcoming and patient and helped everyone with answering questions with whatever updates they had and helping however possible. We were able to chill with live music and complimentary snacks and drinks in the lounge. After waiting until evening and still couldn’t get a price for the extra night stay we decided to just take the room and find out the charge the next day. Next day they decided not to charge us.
I’d like management and the staff there to know that it was really appreciated that you took care of your guests during those extenuating circumstances. There wasn’t one moment where I saw any employee show any hint of stress or unpleasantness even though they probably had an overwhelming amount of questions and requests from guests. Thank you so much for helping us to get us through that storm and power outage.
As for the apartments itself. It was a pretty decent stay. The bedding was comfortable, the place was clean, and had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen.

Fun Stay in Zermatt

Really nice place to stay! Large space to relax and a balcony as well to enjoy views of the mountains. On the outer edge of Zermatt, but worth it being in Zermatt and an easy 10 minute walk at most with/without luggage from the train station. The reception was very kind. It is a bit confusing at first trying to check in since it's not clearly stated that you should try to check-in at their partner hotel - Hotel Alpen Resort & Spa - which is down the street. The kitchen has lots of supplies including plates, utensils, cookware, dish soap, etc. Note that there is a decent extra charge for house keeping so perfect for shorter stays, but you may want to plan ahead if you're staying longer. Overall though, it is clean, comfortable, and a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of Zermatt.

There was construction outside and during the day you are close to the helipad where the tourist helicopter is constantly taking off and landing.
That said, all we had to do was close out patio door.

The kitchen was well-equipped and the room clean. Our patio had a wonderful view of der Matterhorn. Great deal, we would stay there again.

The main reason we booked this location was access to the pool which was listed as included but when we checked in it was extra. This was misrepresented and we were told we would need to pay anyway.

Bus stop in front of the property was very convenient. Roomy ski room for equipment; full size appliances. You can pay a small fee at the main property to use the pool and spa. Worth the price

I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the suite was. The kitchen was well equipped to cook meals and even had a microwave. Everything was sparkling clean and very well organized. It was easy to find everything we needed, although paper towels would have been a nice addition. Knives need sharpening. We loved the view from the patio-you could see Matterhorn! Can also view Matterhorn from bedroom too. Location was also perfect and about 10 min walk to train station! The WiFi signal however was very weak in all areas of the suite, except the bedroom. There were times we were in living room and network would drop or it would take forever while I was trying to buy my train tickets. Then I figured out (too late by then), that the strongest signal is in the bedroom.

Aside from WiFi, I would absolutely stay here again based on how spacious and clean it was. It was very homey and didn’t feel like a sterile hotel.

The staff was great. When we first checked in there was a concern about the room. I emailed and they had someone there to check it out and addressed/fixed it within a few hours. The apartment was lovely, the views were great and the kitchenette was well equipped and very nice to have!
Everything in Zermatt is very walkable, but if you're looking to be \"in the middle of everything\" this might not be the ideal location.

We enjoyed our stay here in the shoulder season in Zermatt. The apartment is a ski condo located at the end of town, a bit away from the center. The town is so small the location isn’t a real problem. And in exchange, we got a fabulous view of the Matterhorn from a large wraparound balcony. We prepared breakfasts and a dinner there, which saved us some money in pricey Zermatt. There is a good grocery store nearby to help keep your costs down.
A sleeper sofa makes this place good for small families.

The rooms were smaller than what gets shown on the net.

I booked this room because it had a balcony with a view, is pet-friendly, had a small kitchenette, slept 3 comfortably and said there was on-site parking. I knew it was far from the center area of Zermatt where restaurants and the train station was, as well as having limited amenities (no lobby, reception or wellness area). Because Zermatt doesn’t allow cars, I thought having a place to stay with parking was worth the trade off of being far away from town. But when I called the hotel just before we arrived, I was told there was no parking on-site and had to take the train from , pay for parking at the garage there as well as for 3 train tickets and the shuttle from the train station in Zermatt to the hotel. Altogether the stay in Zermatt was amazing and the weather was gorgeous so the extra walking was just fine. Don’t miss the watching the sunrise on the Matterhorn! But don’t pick this place if you can’t walk a whole lot.

The apartment was perfect for our adventures in Zermatt. Excellent place for saving money eating out since you have your kitchen. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff was nice.

Here are the negatives. The sister hotel, the front desk for the apartment, offers a shuttle but if you book on Hotels.com it’s not included in your booking. It’s like Hotels.com guest are second class guest. The other issue is I had a bike crash and fractured my shoulder. The could have offered us a shuttle ride to the train since my shoulder was fractured but the didn’t. Not expected, but this would have been good customer service.

Front desk staff was not very interested in being helpful or friendly at check in. The building is not in the same complex as the check in, which was fine, but its also not easy to find...so it would have been helpful to have a friendly staff person to help kindly explain where we were going--instead we got shooed out the door with a quick and annoyed 1 second explanation of where it was. Checking in at 4:30 and they were not sure the room was ready initially (odd since 11am is checkout). Also, all the amentities listed for the hotel (e.g. pool / sauna) are a 10 min walk away back to the main building, so keep that in mind. Staff seemed annoyed that we wanted to use it while staying in the Residence Patricia.

The room was big and had beautiful views of the matterhorn with a large balcony. Kitchen had everything you needed but quite outdated given the price of the room. Bathroom was also run-down, but served its purpose. Probably good for a family who has zero interest in style. No phones in the room, so if you need to call the front desk to ask a question you need to go to the lobby or call on your own phone.

the breakfast was a good value at 20 CHF, especially for Switzerland prices.

Great hotel, amenities, location, and value

Overall, we had a really lovely stay at the Residence Patricia Zermatt. It is an apartment connected with the Alpen Hotel (http://www.alpenresort.com/en/welcome/) at Spissstrasse 52 which means, you have to first check into that hotel for your room key card + spa card (if you prefer). If you check in after 4 pm (I think), you can just retrieve your key card from the little e-terminal in front of the Residence Patricia apartments. The Alpen Hotel is only a few minutes from the Zermatt train station, and the apartment is only about a 4 minute walk from the Alpen Hotel. If you call ahead, I believe they will give you a ride. Two grocery stores (Coop and Denners) are minutes away from the apartment. The apartment itself is very spacious (for two people) and had a balcony/great view of the Matterhorn. The Klein Matterhorn lift/gondola is about a mile away but there is a great bus system, and bus stop is just across the street. This is personal preference but my only major complaint is that the bed/pillow was extremely uncomfortable compared to American standards, Europeans should have no issues since this seems to be normal. I woke up a couple of times throughout the night because of how stiff the bed was and how flat (no fluff) the pillows were. Another awesome piece about this hotel is that you can use the amenities (spa/sauna/pool/gym) in the Alpen Hotel!! This is probably the best value you will get for your money in Zermatt because everything is extremely expensive.

I wish we had known there was construction right outside the window, we would have never booked. The place smelled like concrete dust the whole time and the dishwasher smelled like something died in it. It is also in a much less attractive part of town than most other places. The big thing was the dust, though. We feel a bit blindsided and cheated by that.

Pros: The room we stayed in was very beautiful. We stayed in a room that had 3 bedrooms with a kitchen and living room area. That was one of the best rooms we stayed in while in Europe. The hot tub, swimming pool, and sauna area were also very lovely. Cons: I don’t have a card with a PIN. I may be the only one in the world that doesn’t. I called the hotel this residence was associated with 4 times to get directions to their location to pay for the room with my credit card. Each time they repeatedly said to check in at the residence with a PIN. So, I explained several times each time I called that I had to come to the hotel to pay. I had a tourist map with all the hotel numbers. They gave me the wrong number on the tourist map twice. We arrived in Zermatt at 200pm in the rain. After walking all over Zermatt due to the multiple wrong map numbers the front reception gave us, we finally got to the reception at 5 pm. The front desk again said to check in at the residence with a PIN! It was ridiculous! I would think after the second or third time I called and didn’t show up for an hour they would have called to find out where we were but, I guess they just don’t care about customer care. So, I would not recommend staying at the residence if you don’t have a PIN. Zermatt was very pretty but, insanely expensive. Wouldn’t go back there. Maybe would stay at Tasch were you catch the train to Zermatt or in Italy.

The hotel is at the northern end of Zermatt. It offers outstanding views of the Matterhorn, as well as an abundance of space in the room. There is a kitchenette with essentials for light cooking and the bathroom size is adequate. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The WiFi connection was horrible, nearly unusable. There is no hotel staff available at this property, and you check in on a kiosk outside, which worked well. The hotel next door is partnered and available for any additional needs.

Chalet feel with a view

We were pleasantly surprised at how large the residence was and sad that we were only staying for one day. There was a wonderful wrap around outside balcony with chairs to enjoy the fresh air, and yes, there was a Matterhorn view from the kitchen window. There was a separate bedroom, large bathroom, and stocked kitchen area. The living room area couch folded out into a bed, and this was already pulled out and made ready for us on our arrival. I can imagine that this would be a great location for a small family or group of friends on ski holiday or even a spring/summer vacation. It is a little bit of a walk from the center of town, which was not a problem for us. The staff at the Best Western Hotel where we did our check-in were also wonderful and very helpful. They did have a locked room for us to store our luggage while we did sight seeing before check-in time. There is also a nearby grocery store to buy supplies if you want to make meals at the residence. I would certainly stay here again if we had the opportunity.

Disappointing, dirty, bad location

The kitchen was dirty with crumbs etc and I had to clean it upon arrival. This is unacceptable at any price level. The cushions on the kitchen chairs were stained and dirty. The fabric covering the couches was old and dirty, with small holes in it.I had to ask repeatedly just to get the garbage bag under the sink replaced - no bags provided. It was supposed to be a fully stocked kitchen, but there were no cereal bowls, and no lids for any of the pots. The shower was quite bad - the water would not stay at the selected temperature, but would cycle between very hot and too cold. Every time using the shower was an unpleasant experience. The building is located at the top of a hill up a narrow path that is hard to walk safely in ice and snow conditions - very inconvenient for carrying ski gear home at the end of the day. Service wasn't very good. I called reception one morning to check on an issue, and they couldn't help me because their computer \"wasn't working yet.\" Overall not a good experience for the price, and I can't recommend the place.

Nice view, comfortable accommodations

Beautiful view. It's nice to have a kitchen as we wanted to dave some money and cook some of our own food purchased at a local grocery store. Note that check in is at a different location, but you walk right past it on yhe way to the hoyel so it isn't yoo inconvenient.

Great family room

Our family of 6 adults stayed very comfortably in the 3 bedroom apartment. Each bedroom had an en suite, and their was an additional full bath on the main floor. The first floor living area was quite spacious and there’s was a roomy entry to hold all of our ski equipment.

We got to zermatt and walked to our hotel, sign said go to sister hotel , best western if u want to leave bags, so we did,
What a view from our window of Swiss alps and matterhorn ,, just breath taking,,,luved it,,,
When we got to best western, which was not far away, she said do u want to stay here? Yes !!!!! great hotel, nice pool, hot tub, steam room, closer to everything!!!!,

Great room design, beautiful scene

Great room design, looks new and comfortable. Good patio with great view. Cleaning service can be improved a lot more before we checked in. Cleaner forgot to take out trash from balcony and we took it out ourself. There were a piece of used tissue near the sofa, bread crumbs on the floor and our feet turnsba little grey stepping on the floor, stain on the wall behind the dustbin could be clean to make it presentable. Overall, I don't mind staying there again.

A great bargain!

Residence Patricia provided a large room, a kitchenette, a decent bathroom and a balcony with a Matterhorn view. It's on the outskirts of town, but we're hikers so didn't mind the bit of time it took us to walk to restaurants and other activities. We were able to save a lot of money by buying breakfast and lunch supplies at the grocery store very close by. The studio came with a coffee pot, tea kettle, toaster and other kitchen utensils. You could also cook a simple meal there if you wanted to.

Too Far Away from the Action

I've been to Zermatt about 5 times. This is on the far end of town in a condo of sorts. About a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, away from the Matterhorn. Not really where you want to be unless you want a quiet/slightly depressing area where you have to walk a lot. You check in first at the Best Western about 5 minutes away. People there are very, very nice (you may want to stay instead at that hotel; it seemed nice) and you can use their \"spa\" pool and hot tub (and I did). It's pleasant. There's nothing at the condo itself (in terms of staff or amenities) although my room had a small kitchenette which smelled ever so slightly of fish. I've travelled to Europe for over 25 years and this ranks as one of the smallest rooms I've ever seen (I had the single room). Bed was firm. Room was squeaky clean. My room had a view of a stairs and a railing. Spend a bit more and get closer into town, near the action. Or stay at the Best Western, which is affiliated with this property. Hear me now, thank me later.

Apartments have just the necessary to cook and also more blankets and towels are necessary (quite rear specially if they ready know the number of upcoming guests per room). But in general residence is well located, very close to train station, clean, with a nice view, calm village...

Comfortable room with a good view

It would be nice to be closer to the center of everything, but it was very quiet around the hotel. It was not clear to us where to check-in, but we found the two-way intercom by the front door connected to the other building. The staff was kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The view of the Matterhorn is pretty good as well. A great bonus for us was the Italian coffee pot and coffee provided. The bathroom was clean and adequate with great water pressure! We only wished for one more night...

Unforgettable...

The room were dusty, hairs on bedsheet. Cold floor no heater, deem light tiny toilet where hot shower suddenly turn cold water. Omg. Solid 20 mins of uneven road from Zermatt train station, take note of the registration counter located at different hotel so don't get excited. Because after that need to walk uphill pulling heavy luggages.

Really Bad!

This apt is located uphill and more than15 min walk from train station. We have to pull our luggages on uneven road. Registration counter is located at different hotel, this was not clearly mention in Hotels.com and felt like cheated. Our room is dusty, toilet really tiny and no heater (dont trust the photos provided) Hot water turned cold during shower, omg!! Our so call mountain view room turned out to be facing wall. Best of all, no one will attend to our problem not even Hotels.com - no reply at all.

Residence Patricia in Zermatt charged me additional six Swiss franks, which I paid for reluctantly.

Hotel Centrale in Postchiavo had very weak wifi access. I had to stand in the lobby for over an hour in order to complete a reservation for Centro Hotel Munich.

The service apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious, with own kitchen and dining table so you can prepare your own food. It was a bit of a walk from the train station though but not too far, around 10 minutes. Value for money.
