Advertised as an apartment with breakfast included. But in reality is a chalet bedroom and ensuite. Breakfast was 2 mini yogurts in the fridge, a couple of tiny croissants and cereals. Beverages are DIY. Check in is via a member of staff behind the bar in the pub. Unresponsive to phone calls with the number provided prior to the stay where I attempted to know if there was possibility of an earlier check-in but since not being able to get through I had to check-in at the standard 3pm.
Interior of the chalet a bit dated.

Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. The worst aspect was the small continental breakfast left in the room or delivered in the afternoon. It just consisted of a small cussion, butter, jam, small yoghurt, small box of cereal and a pint of milk with a very small carton of fruit juice with no choice. No juice on the first day, nor milk or cereal on the second with no resupply of hot drink sachets. There was a mini fridge to store that breakfast in the room but it was down on the floor which wasn’t ideal.
However pub staff were friendly, the water piping hot, Wi-Fi signal excellent and a comfortable bed.

Small local shops nearby..room was lovely spacious all what you need in there even breakfast items along with the usual coffee and tea ..there was a small problem with the tv bracket which they promptly attempted to fix it
The meals in restaurant are very nice and good portions and reasonably priced
Team were freindly helpful and compassionate to my requirements which i thank them for

The Lodge was one of five in a block at end of the car park. In front of the lodges were small areas of grass with benches and then a short fence behind which you parked your car. Having mobility issues I loved how close I was able to park to the lodge. The lodge clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was two small croissants in clear sealed packet with butter and jam, yoghurt and a carton of squash. I was also given fresh milk. Tea and coffee was already in the lodge. You were also given small packets of cereal but again no choice offered. I also wasn't asked what flavour yoghurt or squash. However, the food was welcomed as it saved money. Cooked breakfast would have been expensive in the pub. I stayed two nights. The staff in pub were extremely helpful for the whole duration of my stay. It was a great place to stay.

Very nice to find fresh milk in the fridge, thank you! Nice clean, quiet room with comfy bed. The only criticism is that the hot water supply was scalding. Dangerously hot, although there is a warning sign. Didn’t risk using the shower in case I couldn’t control the temperature so I managed without. Otherwise fine, thank you.

Perfect place for a stay. Just perfect!

The lodges are spotless, spacious, well equipped and very well situated for many attractions. The included in-room breakfast was very generous and varied. Porridge, cereal, fruit yoghurt, croissants with jam and orange juice. Tea and coffee. There is a personal picnic bench outside the door to enjoy it in the sunshine with the birds singing. The pub did great food in a lovely dining room. -it’s perfect and we will come back soon

Stayed 1 night for Birthday Bash 2 miles away. Overall good. Room had everything needed a few improvements would be to leave heater on for guests arriving as very cold at first takes a bit of time to warm up. Continental breakfast not great . A better selection or just not do it and reduce room price a bit. overall all ok

Bull in lodge

The lodge was clean and very well equpped. The breakfast left in the fridge was more than ample with 2 apples 2yoghurts, ham and cheese, 1 pint of milk, orange juice and croissants and creal. The staff were very helpful and friendly

Clean, quiet, well appointed rooms

These self service rooms were very impressive: well kept, clean and all the facilities you need. Given that these are self served, with no accompanying building for reception or food, it was really nice to see a decent breakfast choice left for us in the fridge.

Would recommend as a nice quiet place to stay. The Bull pub that it is located at the entrance to the car park (but independent of) does very good food too

Amazing! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!\"

Where to start? The room itself is lovely, the size is good the bed is comfy, bathroom is stunning and the shower was spot on. Having your own entrance with a key code was perfect and the parking was right outside the door. We have lovely weather whilst we were there and the ceiling fan was appreciated, as was the picnic table outside. There was lighting on the fences and sensored lights outside the lodges so it was very pretty at night. The pub they are behind is lovely, the food is to die for and the staff are helpful. The woman who looked after the lodge each day was lovely and very accommodating. The breakfast provided in the room is a lovely start to each morning with everything provided for cereal, croissants (savoury or sweet), juice, yogurt and fruit.
The immediate area is residential and peaceful at night, especially when the stars are out as there are no street lights.
The wider area is just stunning, with Battle 30 mins away and Hastings 40 mins. Highly recommend the crazy golf in Hastings!
We didn't want to leave and are already looking for when we can come back.

CANNOT RECOMMEND THE LODGES HIGHLY ENOUGH!!

ps - will say Wednesday night is Bike Night but that was no bother at all either!

Christmas break

No house keeping provided as our stay was over the Christmas period, but the room was very clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated and toiletries provided in the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

Lack of personal attention

Accommodation is good but lack of any personal touch was disappointing and small details (replace toiletries, empty waste bin) neglected. Breakfast okay but same each day and no choices.

I had no bath on the first night because one of the girls had forgotten to turn the hot water on. When I told her the next morning she sent a girl round to rectify this. The switch was nearly at ceiling height. The next the bath water was boiling but however many times I tried I could only get a trible of water out of the tap,dribble, so agaIn no bath. Sadly I did not mention this to Karon as I believe the guy in the next chalet died during the night and I thought they had enough to deal with.

Met Covid requirements and we felt safe from unwanted close personal contact. Very clean, well set out. warm and good supply of hot water. Good to have fridge in Lodge with fresh milk and breakfast supplies. comfy beds.

A wonderful Find!

Such a wonderful find, large room with king bed, sofa, large TV, desk and wardrobe, immaculate modern bathroom with toiletries, and a little fridge filled with everything you could want for breakfast, such a great idea, loved having our own “front door” plenty of coffee and tea too. We will definitely be returning! Great choice of cosy pubs nearby too.

New Years Eve

Great little place and easy to find sat nav took us straight to the place. Just a short taxi ride (£16) into Tenderten as we were visiting The Swan Wine Kitchen. There was a small fridge, little welcome pack of tea, coffee etc as well as some toiletries . Nice amount of towels. Clean, comfortable and good value.

We stayed for two nights at this B&B. The rooms were lovely and spacious with all the amenities needed. the pub next door also provided excellent food. The breakfast was a little disappointing given the price of the room. Overall a nice little place to stay.

Clean and Comfortable

These are more like small individual units than a hotel or traditional B & B. I could not fault the cleanliness and everything was to hand, including an ironing board.
Breakfast is continental style and left in the small fridge in the room when you arrive. The ham and cheese were good quality and it was lovely to have fresh milk and not the long life little plastic tubs for the tea and coffee.
We did not meet our host but this was not a problem since communication was good prior to our arrival.
If you like to be independent and no fuss these are perfect for you.

Check-in and out super easy and straight forward and I LOVED the contemporary interior of this hotel. The breakfast in the fridge was cute and we didn't mind at all that it wasn't a cooked breakfast. Only downside was that they don't seem to have WiFi.

Myself and my partner stayed here on Saturday 27th February.
The room was really nice, shame there was no WiFi.The picnic breakfast was great.

The pub - The Bull was also very good. Tom was very welcoming and we had a great day there watching the rugby.
Our evening meal was also very good, quality food and a great atmosphere.
A really nice country pub with great staff and customers, we will definitely come back.

A lovely newly refurbished room and cute breakfast

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the lodge to find the room looked even better than the pictures! Newly refurbished, clean, spacious and modern the room was lovely with a big and beautiful bathroom. There's a mini fridge in the room which we used to chill water but this also contained our breakfast, which we weren't expecting but it was great! There was cereal, milk, rolls, cheese, ham, butter, jams and juice as well as biscuits and tea/coffee which enabled us to have a picnic style breakfast in bed which we loved!

The room is accessed by a code which was texted to me on the way there so we never met Karen but she was very helpful in answering our questions. It seemed strange that we never spoke to anyone to do with this but it didn't matter at all, we had all we needed and made for an incredibly quick check out!

Would happily stay here again and recommend to others. Only thing I could say that is negative about this is that there is no wifi but there is a lovely pub next door (same name) which has free wifi when you're in there so we just used this whilst enjoying some tasty food and lovely red wine!

A wonderful find!

We booked one night here very last minute and what a find?! The row of 5 rooms is set behind the Bull pub in Rolvenden and a text during the afternoon of our arrival day stated our room number and access code. The room was large, spacious and well equipped. Wardrobe, sofa bed, desk, small fridge stocked with fresh milk and supplies for breakfast (bread rolls, cheese, ham, orange juice, yoghurt and apples) was a lovely touch. The bathroom was modern and everywhere was clean. We'll definitely be back and have recommended it to family already. Rolvenden is a great little village and we recommend you book dinner the Bull pub too - the homemade beef and ale pie was amazing!

Nice lodges in quiet location

These are lodges at the back of the pub. I heard no noise whatsoever from the pub during my stay of 4 nights.

Lovely part of the world - I had a very low opinion of Kent after numerous visits with work, and always wondered why they called Kent the Garden of England. I now know why - Lovely countryside around this whole area.

Anyway, the lodge - I was in room 3. It was exceptionally clean, with the room cleaned each day when I was working. Wasn't sure if this would be the case being a lodge rather than a hotel.

Good size room and larger than expected en-suite.

Suspect it may get cold during Spring and Autumn nights, though 2 portable heaters were provided. I left the towel rail on in the en-suite all night which meant it was lovely and warm in the morning.

There is a small fridge in the room, and a continental type breakfast is provided.

I think I was the only person staying during the week, though looks to be fairly poplular going by the visitors book. Can't therefore comment on noise from neighboring lodges.

TV had plently FreeView channels, though there is no WiFi in the rooms.

Ample parking to the rear of the pub, though not sure how tight this would be if all the lodges were in use.

Beautifully appointed lodge. The mini fridge with breakfast was a lovely touch. I would have given this full marks if there had been some form of heating in the bathroom as it was freezing. Also a toaster would have been a useful addition. All in all though a lovely overnight stay and the pub is top notch.

Took three generations of the family away for the weekend. All four lodges were clean, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast in the room was convenient and plentiful. A great spot from which to explore the surrounding area. Would recommend it groups and families.
