The staff was amazing and the food was good. I was doing a little work so I was surprised about the Co Working Spaces. The property was in walking distance to the beach at the north end of the island. D'Mall is a little far but close by trike. They even give you free travel one way per day. The room I has was like a suite with a very cool living room and an great outdoor space to laydown or have dinner at your place.

We had such a great time staying at The Strands! We stayed here in 2012. The staff made sure we had almost everything we needed. Very friendly staff! Although, I wish there was a mirror on the sink area. Otherwise, our stay was absolutely perfect!

The Gems of the property are the hispitality of the staff. Less than a milevwalk to the beach. Its a farm feel that has a nearby access to the beach. A butler to serve you of whats in your appetites' delight is unique. Tranquility is the vibe of this place.

A 5min walk to White Beach, no traffic noise, it's a small place so the pool and dining are are never really crowded, the rooms are spacious, the staff are friendly and attentive. The only negative thing about the Strand is that it's on \"Diniwid Beach Road\" which doesn't actually go to Diniwid beach and because it's such a small place a lot of the taxi drivers don't know about it. Just keep your phone out with Google maps on it and make sure they take the right turn off from the Boracay highway otherwise you'll end up on \"Diniwid Road\" which does actually go to the beach. As for getting to Dinibeach Bar (highly recommended) just go down \"Diniwid Beach Road\" to the northern tip of White Beach then go left and follow the cliff around Lambros Point.

Favorite hotel in Boracay

This is my favorite hotel in Boracay. It's a bit tucked away in a green oasis but also just a 2-minute walk from Station 1. It's really relaxed, quiet, and clean. Big balconies are a nice place to hang out, and I really enjoy the pool area. Staff are also very helpful and friendly.

The staff at The Strand were absolutely fantastic. Check-in was a breeze and they helped us book an island hopping tour during our trip. They also were helpful in getting us transportation back to MPH airport during the stay.

The hotel room was nice - the family suite is on the second floor of the building and next to the pool. The pool and on-site food was good. The location looks like a retreat with the lush gardens and natural landscaping.

However, there were a few things that we did not like. The location, while in wakling distance to the beautiful beaches, is within a neighborhood, away from the main area (we knew this going in but didn't expect it to be so close to residents). There was a rooster farm next to the property, where the roosters crowed all day long. There was also road construction on the way to the property, so we had to walk about 500m to get to the destination when checking in (not really the hotels fault, but wanted to state). Also, since the room is a wooden structure, there were some flying termites in our room - however, this only bothered us for 1 night, as there were bug zappers in each room.

Overall, for what we wanted and the fun we had at Boracay, the hotel was a good choice for our 3 days there. Even with the negatives, the friendly staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and memorable.

This place is the BEST hotel I have vacationed. My family had a very relaxing stay. The staff from butler,security,grounds keepers and front desk. You can not ask anything more. The place was away from the noisy vacationers. Very secure place. The staff made you feel at home.

Great hotel

If you like a quiet hotel in Boracay, this is your place. It is a 3 minute walk to the white beach and 20 minute walk to the D mall. We booked a one bedroom suite and it was worth every penny. It is very spacious, you have AC and a living room.
The food at the hotel restaurant is good, but few tourists eat there. The staff is nice and helpfull. They also arrange transfer from/to airport.
You have to take into consideration that from time to time, locals gather in the neighborhood for karaoke, which can be loud.

Green, lush, and beautiful getaway!

If there were a 6-rating option, I would have clicked it.

Had an amazing few days at the Strand. This location provided a very green, lush, and helpful getaway while giving its occupants also the seclusion of a private resort away from the busyness of White Beach. But it was only a 100 peso tricycle ride away, or the distance away of a simple walk up the beach. This was our first time to Boracay and we were skeptical about the price of this nicer location, but it did not disappoint!

The grounds were tidy, the staff was generous, the rooms were cozy, and the complimentary breakfasts were delicious (go with the Filipino option of corned beef YUM!). We stayed in a Suite which had 2 rooms adjoining as well as a balcony--all very well-kept and cleaned each day we would leave to see the sites of the island. The pool and public patio area provided relaxing options at the hotel as well, if you wanted to stay in and have some downtime there.

Overall, we did not want to leave The Strand! When we did to go to another part of the island, we wanted to return for sure as our second location did not hold up. But all in all, will definitely be recommending this location to any and all who we meet and are traveling to Boracay. Great job, guys! Love the Strand!
