I really enjoyed my stay at Lomas del Volcán! The property, staff, service, and overall experience made my trip to La Fortuna an absolute dream! The bungalow was immaculate and beautifully decorated, just like the pictures. Nice spacious restroom with water that can get real hot and the outdoor patio was a lovely space to relax. Every interaction I had with staff was positive and everyone very friendly. Front desk customer service was great. Breakfast options were also tasty and the fruit was fresh.
I ordered room service for dinner during my stay and they are able to accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences. If you have an allergy, they ask if you do before placing your order which provides an extra sense of safety for us allergic folk :)
I ventured off into the pool area and yoga deck during my stay and both very welcoming and clean. I like how open and surrounded by nature the yoga deck is. Perfect place to get your zen on!
This is also a nice spot if you're solo traveling. I felt safe! I'd come here again and recommending it to any friends/family visiting La Fortuna!

Unfortunately I am very sensitive to strong smells and the room had a very heavy perfume in the air. The manager offered a different room but after checking it out, it had the same heavy scent. We stayed one night, enduring a terrible headache and checked out the next morning.

The "rooms" are more like bungalows and are wonderful and pretty private. The food at the restaurant was great every time we ate there. The only possible downside is parking and walking to your bungalow, but porters bring your luggage for you and I'm sure they will get it for you when you check out. We took our own. The night tour for frogs was great and easy walk, we actually saw a sloth on our walk. We also took the sloth tour and saw 7! Including 2 moms with babies:) We ran out of time to do the bridge and waterfall:(

I was not sure what to except in the small town of La Fortuna. The hotel offered a beautiful landscaped breathtaking scene of the volcan.
Although while we were there it rained every day we did get a sneak peak one morning of the volcano.
Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable.
The pool was used by the kids every day, even in the rain.

We stayed in a bungalow with an amazing direct view of Arenal volcano and got to see it in various stages of the day and sun and clouds. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned. The bathroom was dark and could use better lighting for sure. But it was a minor thing. AC worked well given that it was so hot and humid outside.

Property was beautiful. We stayed in the 400’s section. Monkeys every day! The walking trail is awesome, but a little difficult. A walking stick and mosquito repellent are recommended. Saw spider, and white faced monkeys. The warm pool is perfect! A view of Arenal, perfect temperature, and swim up bar! You never want to get out! Stayed with 8 friends and family. All were extremely happy with their stay. Short drive to downtown and many activities. Sky is about 30 minutes!
