We stayed in the North Tower and were given a recently renovated room. Unfortunately, I was unable to sleep all night due to a loud banging noise occurring every few minutes. We later realized it seemed to be coming from the air conditioning compressor or related system, which made a very loud banging sound each time before the fan shut off.

My stay here was amazing the staff was nice and attentive, room was clean with an amazing view. Next time we will stay on the marina side although the bay view was peaceful and beautiful I believe it’s more restaurants to choose from. I definitely plan to stay here again!

The bay tower is absolutely dirty, they don’t tell you that they have 3 different towers. The marina tower is the newly renovated so it’s cleaner which is winning Expedia doesn’t tell you.

Pool was fantastic! Rooms were very clean and big…. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating…. Want to single out Ahmed at the pool…..was so nice and very helpful! Great guy. But everyone was great as well. My son loved the French toast at the restaurant in the bay tower. Overall a fantastic experience!

This hotel has a distant satellite building you have to get in your car and drive to that has no amenities, no lobby staff when I checked in, that they charge the same price for. Total scam.

This was the worst stay at a hotel ever. The Hotel staff were rude and not inviting or friendly. The fees for everything were ridiculous. $55 a day for parking. Food and drinks way over priced. The restraunt service was so bad. They took 15 mins to take our order and another 15 mins to get pur drinks. Food anotherc15 mins after that. Bar staff were so rude and not friendly. I will never go back to this establishment

There really needs to be more than one tennis court and a SEPERATE basketball court. There's been such great effort put into the pool areas while the tennis court hasn't changed since I was here in the 80s.

A resort that's all about comfort, amenities and family fun should have a microwave. Dining options are far too limited to play this game. We have kids and babies. Get some dang microwaves!

Aside from theose gripes, the Sheraton has been a family goto for years. It's always a pleasant, relaxing stay. Nice views out of either side. Especially the Bay Tower which, being further down the peninsula has a direct view of the harbor.

Kinda missed first shuffle, had to waiting 20 mins for second one . Room was clean . Finding room was really hard was in the lanai
Tower bottom floor. Couldn’t find elevator to get to bottom floor. Had to ask for help from somebody.. map might of helped. Do wish that shuttle ran more often specially for an early, early flights my flight was boarding at 5:35 and I had to get an Uber to the airport. That would’ve been so much easier for shuttle had ran wish things were a little bit closer to the hotel like some fast food places . I was uuhungry when I got there and didn’t have time to order from the bar. Staff were very nice . Wake up call got me up on time for my 2 o’clock get ready for my flight at 5:35. Wish I could’ve enjoyed the grounds more. Got there so late maybe next time, looks like a very beautiful hotel. Thank you

I didn't like the fact of paying as much as I did and was surprised with an additional $44 +tax per day for activities I never used or intended on using. Also there was no complimentary waters in the rooms. That was a factor for me for medical reasons. Especially when 1 bottle of 16 oz water was over $6 at there on property store. The rooms and property were clean.

No, ocean was not visible. They bay was however we were on the 2nd floor which was actually the 1st floor and there was too much for traffic in front of our balcony so we could not enjoy the view and have privacy at the same time. Couldn't just have the blinds open to enjoy the view either. The whole point of booking there was for the view. The deal I thought I was getting turned out to be a bust not to mention the $44 per day resort fee and the $55 per day parking fee - outrageous.

It was confusing to get to the proper reception due to address confusion. Once we found it, our host did provide me with a room on the eighth floor, however my view was of the marina and airport instead of the bay. Which is what I thought I paid for. Bed was clean and comfortable, so is the room.

Overall, my stay at the resort was quite pleasant. The views from the room were absolutely stunning, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. However, I was a bit disappointed when I went down to get some food, as it was unfortunately burnt. Despite this one issue, I still had a good experience.

I had a very disappointing stay. Housekeeping only made the bed—there was no actual cleaning or vacuuming done at any point during my visit. Despite making multiple requests for towels, none were ever delivered.
To make matters worse, the shampoo and soap bottles were empty, the washroom floor remained dirty, and the bedroom was never properly cleaned throughout the entire stay.
This level of service is unacceptable. I would give zero stars if that were an option.

The Sheraton gave a completely misleading impression. I booked a bay-view room, but they put me on the 4th floor with a 65-foot balcony blocking the entire view. When I asked to switch, they claimed they were full. Room service was a disaster—I ordered twice, and both times, after waiting forever, I had to go pick it up myself despite being charged a $5 delivery fee. And don't even get me started on the pool service; getting a simple bottle of water was a total nightmare.

There was no coffee maker in the room which i thought was a bit odd these days. Having to leave the room, go downstairs, wait in line foe a coffee is a bit ridiculous. Most everything else was fine.

I arrived at about 12:30am bc of a flight delay and proceeded to wait in line at reception for an HOUR. It was such a hot mess. The rooms were messed up, some of the people didn’t even have rooms. At the end of it I was in their whole other tower that was like a 15 minute walk. There were three other people running around there and a HUGE LINE at reception and ONE PERSON checking people in. Now you can see that you have a line out the door and you can see it’s taking this woman like 20 minutes plus per customer to check people in bc of whatever issues they were having—it’s literally midnight. Standing in a line at reception for an hour-no exaggeration—is really the worst customer experience. Why don’t you put one or two other people to help? Oh and then I asked for a late checkout and she wouldn’t give me more than a hour from 11 to 12. Don’t you think if you made someone lose sleep bc of your failure to run the place properly you would give them an extra hour later at checkout. The hotel is fine but the experience was so bad I would not give this a good rating. Do not recommend.

The hotel was great unfortunately the pool cabana was closed the entire time every time I ask the staff when it will be opened I got truck shoulders and no real response. It didn’t seem like anybody knew what was going on. Also, upon the arrival to the hotel, I wasn’t even welcomed when I said hi I’m checking in. It was responded by ID.

Great service! Very accommodating! We were upgraded to the marina tower. Very nice. It was kind of busy but still staff was accommodating. They gave us a 40 credit for a friends bday. We were looking forward to drinks by the pool but the pool bar was closed. The family pool was crowded. The adult pool was ok. They could do something about the vibe. Idk maybe have music playing. A lot of the seating was “reserved” hard to find a place to sit.

The gym is top notch with a smith press, squat rack, free weights, yoga, and a lot of cardio machines. The staff are excellent. Rooms updated. Breakfast buffet is rather sparse and not worth it, go a la carte if you must eat there. Views, locations, pools, gym, store, and restaurants are all great. I will come back again!

I was uninformed that I was in the Bay tower versus the newer building. That would’ve been nice to know because I was dropped off at the new building and had to get myself driven over to the other building with my luggage. The pool wasn’t open to the maintenance at the bay Tower building that I stayed at also not providing at least a black cup of coffee in the morning complementary was a little discerning.

This hotel was absolutely breathtaking, upon checking in I had thee best service from the front desk clerks. When walking into our room we noticed the showers had mildew in the corners, and our balcony was not clean. I walked to the front desk and the girls were so helpful and got us into a new room. The new room was bit cleaner but still not what I expected from a 4 star Sheraton. The second room also had mildew around showers, behind the bed where the headboard rest was filthy and filled with dust. Although my stay here was enjoyable and delightful, I think the housekeeping needs to be reviewed.

Upon arrival we were sent to the other Sheraton as we were told that is where we were booked. Headed over to the \"other\" Sheraton just down the road. To be told - we are really sorry but due to work been done we need to go back to the one we wer just at. The lobby was packed and there were not enough receptionist to handle everyone. The wait was about 30 minutes and the ceceptionist I unfortunately got seemed very frustrated and appeared very rude.

Overall, the balance of what we pay and what we get out of it is off

On the positive side: location, rooms (now that everything is renovated), pool
On the negative side:
* the hotel is charging for everything extra (parking 50$/day, resort charge, food),
* I am ok with not receiving room cleaning every day, but when I asked them after night 3 of 4 that the trash in the bathroom and room is removed, and we wanted to get new toilet paper, they did not do it. When asking the front staff about it, they were playing confused, why am I not happy, saying that I would only get my room cleaned when I say it, which I did.
* breakfast choices: as a family with two kids, we must have breakfast, the options in the store looked ok but they were very pricy, sandwiches were dry, and the food quality did not hold up to the rates charged
* dinner at BreweryX: we had to wait a long time, which is ok for grown-ups but not for kids when it’s going into the nighttime and the kids are supposed to sleep at some point.

The bay tower was completely outdated and came with a whopping $300 per night incidental charge for amenities that don’t exist (pool, activity rentals, etc). Airport shuttle was nice, but super busy and competitive with flight attendant traffic consuming every shuttle. Pool was not opened. Room was old / smelled questionable and out of body wash/soap.

The restaurant was awesome though! Great service, food and views there. Elsewhere was questionable

All honesty it looked great and everything very very busy I was informed they will call me once my room is ready but i didnt get a call at all i had to call myself around 5 oclock to check if it was ready keep in mind my check in time is at 4 oclock so i got no call then i booked a 1 bed room not a 2 bed room i went in there and there was 2 beds me and my gf was so confused and was like i paid for a 1 bedroom not a 2 bed room then there was no shampoos or conditioner at all everything was empty ive nevr been to a hotel this organized before

The room had a broken outlet but enough for me to use else where. However, my biggest issue was the lack of privacy and the cost cutting door they provide for bathroom. With the \"budget\" room they have a sliding slated barn door. For the price of this room I'm disappointed in the privacy, or lack there of, we were provided. We had the patio and it was nice for quick access to the marina walkway. I liked everything but the actual room.

WATCH OUT FOR THE RESORT FEE! Wow... I booked this hotel on Expedia and when I checked out... surprise... surpise... a $44 per night \"resort fee\" was quietly charged to my credit card. Nobody explained this at check-in.

The hotel is very reasonably priced, but I didn't like getting hit with the resort fee afterwards.

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are wonderful and the rooms are great, but it leaves a bad taste.

The restaurants are overpriced and \"mid\" while the items they sell in the store are not widely appealing.

I love that they have an electric vehicle shuttle bus to and from the airport. But the hotel is so isolated, you either have to do an hour long walk to get to downtown or take an Uber, which cuts into the savings.

I wish there was some kind of shuttle or public transportation that would get you from the hotel to downtown or marina.

So bascially, it's a hotel of trade-offs, it's nice and luxurious with great amenities, but you're far away from dining and shopping options. I did like the adults only pool. But the sneaky RESORT FEE?!? NO! 😡

It would've rented a car but the hotel charges $55 per night for parking. The car rental is only $26 per day, but you have to pay nearly triple in that for parking?!? Makes zero sense...

I tried to call to dispute the Resort fee and I got a voicemail. I doubt they'll ever call me back.

Most of the San Diego hotels do this resort fee scam. BEWARE!!!

PS - The ducks in the swimming pool were cool

We enjoyed the pool and free airport shuttle. We had a very hard time with staff. Upon check in they asked if we wanted daily housekeeping. We said yes. Day two they arrived before we were out of bed. We asked to come back later. We left room for several hours and they didn’t come back. We let the front desk know we needed trash taken out (food), towels and we were out of coffee, conditioner and body wash. We then left until after 10pm. When we came back it wasn’t done so we took our trash downstairs and asked again. They arrived very late with towels and conditioner. Day three, we left for the entire day. No housekeeping. We got back at 4:50 and asked the front desk for service. They told us housekeeping left at 5. Day four, they did the room but forgot to put a top sheet on the bed. It was a poor experience. Usually people try to make it right but there was no attempt, even with a four night stay. I’ll not stay here again. It was service like during Covid.

Very disappointing experience at the Sheraton San Diego Resort. I booked a Marina Tower room specifically for the view and location, but at check in I was placed in the Lanai Tower and told it was an “upgrade.” It absolutely was not. The room had no view and was far from where we parked.

The staff discouraged me from switching rooms and told me the hotel was fully committed for the night, which made it seem like the Marina Tower rooms were oversold. After parking, we had to load our luggage onto a bell cart and drag it across the property while managing two kids, one of them a toddler. It took a long time to even find the building and room.

They eventually moved us to another room, but our bill included extra charges that had to be corrected later, including an extra person fee and another room charge that should not have been there. While those were eventually removed, guests should not have to carefully review their bill to avoid being overcharged.
