Close to beach and in a quiet laidback area with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Easily accessible to Palma main town by bus (15 minutes). Large shopping Centre also within a
20 minutes walk, as well as local supermarkets.
Staff also very warm and welcoming and helpful.

Really fantastic location, 30 seconds to the beach, fantastic restaurant next door, 7 minutes on the bus to Palma and buses are every 10 minutes or so. Rooms aren’t huge but we had a sea view and little balcony. We chose to buy our own breakfast (pastries) and coffee from a local coffee shop 2 minutes away on the same road and eat on the balcony which was lovely. Bathroom was modern and very clean. Beds are firm and comfortable with quality white cotton bedding. The carpet and headboard showed some signs of wear and could do with an update but nothing to detract from all the positives

The hotel is well maintained staff are very helpful . Area is really good close to the beach and lovely promenade. Would certainly return . The room was small but adequate for the 2 nights . Might upgrade if going for longer. Very family oriented area although we were there as a couple . I would give the hotel more stars if I could. Parking around the streets .

Great hotel for a quite break

The hotel is really lovely . Not crowded and all the staff are lovely . Just a minute walk from sandy beach. Although the rooms are small they are so clean and comfy. The only reason it didn’t give the facilities a 5 star was , we were expecting a roof top bar which is closed and the normal bar closes at 6 . Which is S shame if you want a drink .

We loved this hotel! The staff was friendly and checked us in around 1 am when we got there. Their website says they stop check in at midnight but I can confirm that they’ll pretty much check you in at any point you just have to email them for a super late check in. The rooftop bar was super cool and a perfect view of the sunset over the mountains! The room is quite small but we found it comfortable. Would stay in here again for sure and would recommend.

Enjoyed our stay! The staff was quick to respond to our needs, and we found the bike rental very convenient. Recommend that North American visitors consider the larger rooms available. As first time Mallorca travelers, the Portifino Hotel met all our needs.

This was our second stay at the Portofino, this time at the end of our week in Mallorca. We had a comfortable room with a sea view, aircon and powerful shower. There was also a small fridge which was really useful.
Check-in was straightforward and our room was ready early.
The pool is lovely, with plenty of chairs, loungers and parasols and there is a bar serving food.
The beach is a few minutes’ walk away.
The rooftop bar is a bonus, with panoramic views and cocktails.
The staff were so helpful and friendly, including arranging taxis, giving recommendations for restaurants and advice about buses.
Checkout is a generous 12:00. Our flight wasn’t until later in the evening, so we stayed round the pool and were given the use of a single room to shower before we left for the airport.
We couldn’t fault the hotel and would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity. Thank you.

This was a chance find on Expedia and we were very happy. Gorgeous swimming pool, lovely rooftop bar, comfortable lounge in reception while we waited for our taxi. The staff were so friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Our room had comfortable beds, good showers and welcome air conditioning. We didnt have breakfast, but it looked lovely. The beach was a couple of minutes away and we had paella at El Bungalow overlooking the sea, which was really good. Shops and restauants on the doorstep. All in all, a perfect stay for us.

Perfect for a short getaway

This was my second time at the UR Portofino hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. Although the rooms are quite small, they are kept in good condition but could do with a bit of a modern upgrade. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the rooftop bar is a must as the views over Palma are amazing. A perfect hotel for a short stay with a lovely pool and beach only a short walk away. Would defonitely reccommend.

This hotel is a little gem of a hotel. It’s in a residential area, so very quiet. We’ve just come back from a 3 night stay. Breakfast was 10 Euros per person, which consisted of Buffett. It was so well presented & fresh every morning. Our hotel room was immaculate. The Cleaner cleaned our room every day. Pool is amazing with plenty of sun beds. Lots of local bars and restaurants in The vicinity. To catch a bus into Palma is really easy. Take the number 15. It’s 1.50 euros per person. Takes less than 10 minutes. Buses run frequently. This hotel is a little oasis and would highly recommend.

Cons: sewage smell coming from bathroom; faucet is too big for the sink so water splashes everywhere; no washcloths provided.

Fantastic position as not surrounded by holiday makers!

Nice area with lots of foodie places near. Palma Cathedral can be seen in the distance from our small beach & the City is 20 mins on No 15 bus. Beautiful city.

Service & room fab but only downside was size of room & number of electrical sockets. They gave us an extension lead which helped. If you are sharing a room, you will giggle as you squeeze past each other but all good fun! Fridge & hairdryer helpful.

Great place for a short break to relax & balcony with sunset was great. Would go again in a flash. You must go to Arabic Bathhouse in City and the trip over the mountains, boat, tram & train is stunning. Guide was not but keep fingers crossed, the views were worth it! Cathedral stunning from outside but inside was \"not my thing\" look out for small churches instead the one in Soller was great. Have fun!

Perfectly local hotel from which to explore Majorc

This hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the whole island of Majorca. It is a very nice boutique hotel with a great bar and pool area. The rooms are a little small, as are the bathrooms, which could prove a bit of a problem for larger than average guests. The staff were cheerful, polite, helpful and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning either a beach holiday or one exploring the island. It is only a five minute drive from the airport.

An absolutely lovely hotel very close to the beach

The hotel is situated in a residential area in Ciutat Jordi and is a stones throw from the beach. The hotel reception, bar areas and pool are all maintained to the highest standards - all very clean and welcoming. Staff were polite and helpful at all times. The rooms were very clean and towels changed daily. Food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced - service was swift and polite. Around the hotel are many restaurants where it is possible to dine in the evening - although lunch time menus are excellent and good value. The beach is clean and bathing is safe, along the promenade is a park for children and WC facilities. Do try an ice cream from the gelateria and breakfast at Pasteleria Mina, a mere 2 euros for excellent coffee and croissant. UR Portofina is a gem of a hotel.

The hotel is located next to the beach so whilst it has a lovely pool area you have the best of both worlds at your doorstep. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Hotel room was cleaned daily. Couldn't fault a thing. The area around outside of the hotel was quite quiet but ideal if you are looking for a peaceful break.

Just returned from a short break, third stay at this hotel in as many years. Checked in after 0100 in the morning but the reception staff (all with brilliant English) couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms clean and tidy but with a severe shortage of plug sockets!! Pool clean and well maintained. All staff friendly and helpful. Lifts to all floors. Only 200 yards from local restaurants beach cafes and the beach. We'll be back!

A very nice little place with smiling friendly staff. The whole place is immaculate inside and out. Rooms small but adequate for a short stay. Can't comment on food however. An ideal place for the beach and the short trip into Palma. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Two very small problems ( safe problem and door card problem) dealt with instantly by Jose ,who always had a smile on his face and a frendily greeting. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are quite small. The pool area is big enough and kept well. You have to request things such as beach towels, bath robes etc from reception as they are not left in your room. Tea and coffee facilities are not in the rooms and we were not allowed to use the machine in the common area although we were supplied with a kettle. Hotel is located mainly in a residential area which means it is relatively quite but there are various eating places nearby that offer a variety of options. You can also eat in the hotel.

Location was convenient for us - a good 40 minute walk to busy Palma - in a quieter area near to beach. A good cycle path and boulevard to walk on both ways along the coast. Hotel was perfect for the price - staff helpful and kind. The pool looked very inviting just a bit chilly in early April to dive in - though ok to relax and lounge around. Breakfasts were fine - nothing amazing but plenty to eat and available until 11.

The hotel facilities and pool are very nice.

However, we were located in a small room in a separate building, which was fine except the noise from other guests at all hours was inescapable due to noisy doors, voices and footsteps echoing off all the hard surfaces.

In terms of location the resort is adjacent to the flight path with planes roaring overhead every five minutes.

Loved this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, and in a great location which was not over-touristy. The bedroom was small, but so what? I'd elelected for a small double and was only using the room for sleeping in, so it really wasn't an issue. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, I'll definitely be coming back. Some information that might be useful: Local beach about 1 minute away was lovely, we went in August and even then it wasn't overcrowded. Buses into town are really frequent. A 5 minute walk to the bus stop, Tickets cost 1.5 euros each way. You can walk into Palma along the promenade, it's a lovely walk and takes around 30 minutes.

A very easy holiday. Friendly clean hotel, nice swimming pool. Lovely beach nearby, a local restaurant and shop. Can walk all the way to Palma along the promenade or cycle which was really fun. A fairly quiet area although along the coast is much busier if you want that.
I went with my 13 year old daughter which was perfect and we will go as a family next year and stay at the Portofino again..
Can get a taxi from airport as very close.

A stylish cava welcome

We arrived early and were greeted with a nice cava, which is a thoughtful way to receive a guest and should be set as a standard!!! We checked in our luggage, headed to the pool to enjoy the cava flute and then headed to the beach, about 100 steps away. The room was nothing spectacular, but it had a wrap around balcony with a spectacular view of the beach. Beds were reasonably comfortable, shower was large for European standards, and the floor, although practical, had an unappealing texture. Convenient car rental e-kiosk which was easy to use with a punctual car delivery. Great bicycle rental shop and again, reasonable day prices with respect to the quality if the bikes. Easy and friendly check out and the staff service was consistently great from beginning to end.

This is my third visit with my young granddaughter kara. I cannot praise the staff enough, from the receptionists, the cleaners to the lovely waiting staff who remember my granddaughters requests for a bacon sandwich each year. The hotel is wonderful, close to the beach and amenities, and most importantly we feel very safe and looked after. Thank you so much and look forward to seeing you again next year.

Modern and stylish hotel. Room size an issue

Hotel was in a nice location by the beach. It was clean stylish and modern. The room was clean but due to its size it was very cramped. There are probably larger rooms within the hotel which cost more but I may not have booked this one had I known this one was so small. The information on size may well have been provided when I booked but I didn't notice. I've stayed in a number of hotels in Palma and size of room has never been an issue.

Also the room was very warm and the hotel said they do not run the aircon system until June, which I think is unacceptable give the class and cost of the hotel. We had to sleep with the window open which was very noisy. A lot of aeroplane traffic.

This is the second year that we have stayed in the Portofino and will likely return next year...

It is small intimate hotel with friendly staff. The service is very good and the rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little cosy (I can only speak about the twin rooms). But there is everything you need... tv, air con.... The restaurant is excellent and the menu modern and varied. There is dining on the terrace by the pool, inside or on the rooftop, which is perfect on a hot balmy evening.

The hotel is moments from the lovely beach and the seafront bars and restaurants. There are also many typically local bars and restaurants in the surrounding streets.

Long wait to check in

Hotel is good and reliable have stayed many times. However have never been made to wait so long to check in. Receptionist wasnt very sympathetic we ended up going to our swanky lunch in beach shorts and flip flops while other diners were in suits very embarrassing.

Nice spot ruined by street noise.

Nice clean room if very small. undortunately some loud banging outside for much of the night meant a very poor sleep. Would have liked to have tried the roof top restaurant but it was not open the evening of my stay. The mattress may have been that foam variety which seemed to be very hot.

Amazing hotel!

Loved this hotel, we arrived a little early, so the lady on the front desk told us we could change and leave our luggage in the office, so we did and went for a little stoll on the beach, which was a minute walk to the end of the road! When we got to our room, it was spotless, and although not the biggest of rooms, it served its purpose! The maids cleaned it everyday too. The aircon in the room was freezing, perfect! Breakfast was nice, with a wide range to choose from, and the dining staff were really friendly too. We had dinner on the roof top terrace, which was open Friday - Sunday, the views were amazing, and I would highly recommend the pumpkin ravioli, it was delish!
Would I stay here again?..........in a heart beat!

Lovely relaxing break in a clean and friendly boutique hotel just minutes from a sandy beach. Close enough to Palma town centre for a trip sight seeing, shopping or for a night out

Great value.

We only stayed one night, but a great hotel. Clean, comfortable. Lovely pool and beach at the end of the road. Food at lunchtime also tasty.

A little azure jewel.

The hotel is very close to a soft sandy beach with plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from - just be careful not to get mown down by the cycles on the marked cycle tracks (going both ways), not used to that so escaped a few times! Buses to Palma run every 10 minutes about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel on the Cardinal Rossell - these buses carry between 72 and 84 passenger (mostly standing) so don't be surprised to find a couple of nos. 15 and 30 to Palma pass you by. Prices are comparable with the UK both food and drink wise though restaurants are pricier than the beach cafes which is usually the norm, highly recommend the Edsol cafe along the seafront, lovely tapas there. All credit for joy of staying at this hotel for 3 days goes to the staff in particular Juan Garrote, Reception manager - though all staff encountered were very nice indeed. The barman (not sure of his name) created a wonderful Alabama Slammer cocktail for me on our last night and a Mai Tai for my daughter, will definitely be having more of those but doubt anyone could match his perfection!

Excellent staff and location.

This is my second visit with my 8 year old granddaughter. The staff are excellent and can't do enough for you. The location is brilliant , a few minutes from the beach. The pool is great too and there is a lifeguard on duty throughout the day. I would like to especially mention the chambermaids, who work so hard in keeping everything spotless. A special mention to the lady on the first night who assisted in cleaning up after my granddaughter was sick. I hope everyone remembers to leave them a tip. We will be back next year.Thank you!
