Staff are lovely, room was comfortable with a nice balcony. Breakfast was better than expected. Great options if you are vegan (I had beans on toast most mornings with mushrooms or other veg). They had different types of milk and cereal. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from a very clean and quiet beach. Was very happy.

Sehr gutes Preis- /Leistungsverhältnis, von einem älteren 3-Sterne-Haus wie diesem sehr positiv überrascht, von besonders freundlich-kompetenter Rezeption bis zu tadelloser Sauberkeit in allen Bereichen und gutem Frühstück. Zimmer und Bad mit angenehmer Größe und Komfort, normale Fenster die sich komplett öffnen lassen und internationale TV-Sender. Ruhig, sauber und auch die öffentlichen Bereiche komfortabel, viele Sitzgelegenheiten und tolle Lage. Komme gerne wieder, sehr empfehlenswert zu diesem Preis.

***WARNING*** property is not what it looks like in the photos. Very dirty / unsanitary / unsafe for families. Although the staff is friendly the room was disgusting. Hairs (as in many) all over our sheets along with unknown residue. Mold in the bathrooms and on different parts of the rooms. Electrical problems, previous burn marks on fridge, when you shower dirty water starts filling the tub and comes out of the sink & bidet. It does not drain properly. The lights in the bathroom flickr because of exposed terminals.

Our flight arrived late in the night which is why we booked this hotel, because of its proximity to the airport. We got the kids ready for bed and the more we looked the worst it got. The staff was willing to switch us rooms at 1:30am but the other room was not much better. This is years of neglect not a random fluke.

I wish I would have looked more closely, I highly suggest anyone booking here go somewhere else for your safety and your money. Worst hotel my family and I have stayed at in.

Subpar yet expensive hotel

I would stay far away from this hotel. The front desk staff are incredibly rude. Our AC was “working” but even at the coldest and highest setting, it was blowing out hot air. The WiFi is very spotty and did not work half of the time. The only positive aspect is the hotel’s close proximity to the airport. We stayed here at the end of August 2025 and it was pricey for what it was.

Perfekt boende nära stranden!

Mycket nöjd med min vistelse! Jag var här med min kille och var lite nojiga innan vi anlände då vi aldrig vart på Mallorca innan. Men det blev en fantastisk resa och ett perfekt boende som är nära till både strand och restauranger!

5 min från boendet ligger busstationen som tar en direkt till Palma, finns även flera bussar att välja på! 35, 25, 23 och någon mer om jag inte minns fel!

Rummet var perfekt! Bra AC! Balkong, kyl och fräscht badrum! Ända negativa var att det är extremt lyhört, MEN inget vi störde oss på.

The electricity was flickering and went out . All they need was give me a upgrade for the last 5 hours and no refund I would of died from the electric and roof could of caved in and died disgusting hotel and staff

My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Balear in Palma and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location - just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. There’s also a long, scenic marine drive nearby which is perfect for running, cycling, or using a scooter. Great choice for anyone looking for a well-connected base to explore the area! Clean city hotel close to the airport

I have to rate this place as excellent as it had exactly what we were after and met all of our needs. We arrived on a late flight so we stayed here purely for convenience before heading to our resort the next day. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and was near plenty of amenities with easy access to Palma.
We had a family room with separate bedroom which was perfect for travelling with two young children. The breakfast was good enough for what we needed.
There’s a taxi rank outside and it’s walking distance to the marina and beach which looked lovely although we did not stay around to explore this part of Palma.
We would stay here gain if arriving on a late flight.

Poor check in experience. We arrived late and the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge us when we arrived, we had to stand there and wait for a few minutes while he voice messaged a text message on his personal cell phone. Once he finally acknowledged our presence he did not engage and was dismissive of us. The room was very basic albeit clean enough, bathroom very small with no soap for hands or body. Breakfast in the morning was nice.

The staff at the reception desk and at the breakfast restaurant were friendly and the beds and bathrooms were comfortable and nice, but there seemed to be fleas or bedbugs in the room at the Room 108. I got bitten all over my arms. It was still red and itchy. If they checked the cleaning status and completely eliminated the fleas and bedbugs, it would be a better hotel.

On this visit the drainage smelled so bad and very noisy in the night.

Missing a shelf in the bathroom, tiles and metal in bathroom looked dirty/rusty. The fridge made a lot of sound even after changing, the heating was weird, was there in November but compared to home that is warm and there was no fan, AC.
Good things about it was that the reception was always pleasant and were very helpful. The breakfast buffet varied a little from day to day so you could try new things.
Overall it was good, had what I needed for the most part.

There had been smokers in the room before me. One desk clerk dismissed my concern and said it must have been smoke blown in. But no, the stench was terrible. I should have asked for a different room but was too tired. I know guests don't always follow the rules. You should have some way to fumigate the room when this occurs and fine guests who do smoke. They should be told upfront. If the next guest using that room reports smoke, then they will be charged.

We arrived at the Hotel around 2 am by bus directly from the airport (£5 pp) and we were welcomed by Sidney who did the check-in, we had to pay a tourism tax(I think it was £5), our room was in the 2nd floor, a huge room and clean. Comfy bed and amazing shower. The breakfast was included and was an amazing Mediterranean style. I regret not staying more. The only problem is not parking available and to find a place to park is almost impossible close to the hotel, be aware, but if you don't have a car it will not be a problem.

The hotel was close to everything, including the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room had a private balcony overlooking the front street which a found a great place to relax and unwind from the day.

Very good for one night

Old fashioned family run hotel with „character“ nice and friendly lady checked us in, room was basic but had a big balcony which was a nice surprise, bathroom with shower was tiny (and a bit of a gully smell)
Very centrally located near the beach at a bus stop and a taxi stand) and just 5 min to the airport, that’s the reason we stayed there,as we had an extremely early flight, but no noise really from the airplanes, the price was very good, many nice restaurants and bars close by,

Great Spot!

My visit to the Hotel Balear was fantastic- a great spot to recuperate after a long flight from the US. It's very near the airport (7 min taxi), has easy access to local cafes and restaurants and is right next to the beach. The room was perfect, the patio was a pleasant surprise, and the breakfast spread was delicious! The Hotel Balear is a great entry point to the beautiful island of Mallorca!
