Would give 0 stars if possible. Avoid booking here at all costs. Arrived from Canada late at night and upon arrival had been told we were moved across the street to a different hotel (I guess under the same parent company?). This hotel (the HM Gran Fiesta) has a lower rating, worse reviews, and a lower nightly rate than what we paid. Further, we were booked into a queen bed and the room we were moved into across the street was 2 twin beds. We were given no notice of this whatsoever. Only once we arrived at our original hotel did we find out of these changes.

When we reached out to the hotel via our booking company for at least a partial refund (considering the price we paid for our room was more than it would have been if we just booked at HM Gran Fiesta) they declined providing any refund.

Be very careful booking here - or at least be prepared to be moved to a totally different hotel/room at a lower rate and room type and without any compensation.

Horrible experience, can hardly believe this would be legal.

When arrived the suite we booked was unacceptable , right on the corner of building extremely noisy so the following morning as arrived late so had to stay in the room for that night we changed rooms but a lot cheaper than what we payed so asked for a refund but was told we could'nt as the people that then went in our room was given free upgrade which was not great overall enjoyed it but on a busy road so traffic was loud .

The hotel is in a great location right next to the beach and walking distance from the strip which boasts restaurants bars and lots of nice shops. The hotel is very nice for the price its a great deal, the breakfast is lovely and the dinner options were also fair for what it was. They have themed nights in the restaurant for dinner which is great for abit of variety. the rooms are cleaned everyday when you need it and the pool and cocktails are great.

This hotel was excellent. I booked a last minute trip and my expectations weren’t high, but from the minute I arrived, I was wowed. The interiors and facilities were clean, modern and fresh and the rooms themselves spacious. I even had a partial sea view which I wasn’t expecting. Despite it being high season, I never had any problems finding a sun lounger by the pools, nor a table in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner. The hotel itself is conveniently located across the street from the beach promenade and with easy transport links to the airport, Palma and S’Arenal.

Perhaps my only criticism would be that the luggage room isn’t very secure, as guests are given the key to leave and retrieve their own luggage. I would feel more comfortable if only hotel staff could access this room.

Overall fantastic and I would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel. Maybe due to off season, but it was a shame that the lounge was so quiet and not used.
The turkish bath included wasnt what I expected, its a sauna and steam room! Clearer communication on this would be helpful. Overall staff were very helpful and went beyond to help as far as they could. Thank you!

Stay anywhere but here. If we could leave zero stars we would. Hotel is not kept in working condition. We booked a junior suite for our honeymoon and upon check in realized that the air conditioner did not function, leaving our room sweltering hot. Management was slow to act and when they did, was unable to resolve the issue. They moved us to a cheaper room than we paid for and refused to reimburse the price difference between the rooms. The new room was not properly cleaned, the bed was not fully made and was uncomfortable, the air conditioning again barely worked, and the WiFi was slow and unreliable. This was one of the worst hotels I have experienced and would not recommend it to anyone.

Cons: AC barely works, Not soundproof, small room, small beds, no iron and board, no coffee machine/kettle, small pool and good luck finding a lounge chair, they change the beach towels only once every 3 days so bring your beach towels if you’re staying longer. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Too noisy. Stayed one night to be closer to the airport as we had an early flight. We didn't sleep much as people were so noisy coming back to their rooms. Outdoor pool area is nice if you like being next to a main road and hearing all the traffic. Room overall clean and modern.

I liked everything about the property. Great amenities. Stayed on the 7th floor with balcony Ocean view . room was clean. Only negative is the layout as there's no private bathroom space. Toilet and shower are individually enclosed.. I regret not taking advantage of the Turkish bath and sauna which is free to guess we do need to schedule at the front desk in advance. There was a small punch pool at the rooftop with lounge chairs and a small bar as well as a swimming pool ground floor neither of which I used due to the weather. Staff were great. Great location as well. Overall a great value

The staff were all amazing, very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I was travelling alone so the room was perfect for me. Some things I didn’t quite like was that the ceiling lights dangled past head height directly above the side tables, so I ended up banging the back of my head every time I bent down to pick up something off the table. The back of the shower is a pane of frosted glass directly next to the bed, if you are travelling with your partner then it would be ok, anyone else then you would be able to see the persons silhouette when showering, finally the balcony overlaps the neighbours so you can jump over into the other property making it a bit unsafe if the balcony door is left open.

I had a single room, for one night, out of season (Easter) - I was really impressed with the hotel and its setting. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were very efficient. I’d definitely look to stay there again. The choice at breakfast was excellent. The value for money was exceptional.

Staff was very unprofessional, stiff with protocol and judgmental towards guest (I heard several staff members doing it while together and amongst themselves, not worrying about me being around and being a guest myself). Everything’s has to be their own way even if not previously advised how it should be, it is a constant discovery of what is not right and a constant lack of resolution oriented organization. Hotel is nice and decently positioned, but to spoil a guest’s experience takes a minute and they did it plenty of times in a period of just a 2 nights stay.

Excellent breakfast, excellent sky bar and small pool space, the space around the bigger pool was often taken at pick times but was not a big issue thanks to the alternative. Excellent interiors. If I had to come to Palma again I would probably choose the same hotel. Only downside, the restaurants around are too bias toward pleasing most frequent consumers (eg German English). Not too easy to eat a polpo gallego, extremely easy to find KFG ect

Turned up and neither of my booked double rooms were available. It was a last minute booking due to a cancelled flight and seemingly their system was wrong. After 1.5 hours my husband and son were given one room thanks to a no show and I was eventually moved a couple of miles away to a single room in a sister hotel. They refused to pay my taxi back to meet my family. I asked for some money back given I had slept in a single room but paid for a double room and the manager angrily shouted at me! After proving my booking he Eventually believing me and asked me to email and promised to sort it. The hotel ignored my email. Hotel.com contacted them to refund me and they agreed. I am still waiting. Not to be trusted.

Has the atmosphere of a health spa, stylish decor and all looked to be in great condition. Was surprised it was this good for the price.

Lovely pool and bar with reasonable prices.
We went in April so it felt pretty calm.

The hotel was beautifully clean and well maintained. Plenty if choice of food and good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only a couple of little niggles - having to pay extra to use the safe in the room? Having to leave a deposit for use of a kettle and use of pool towels? Lovely hotel though with a boutique feel. Enjoyed my stay. Be aware though, the shower and toilet 'cubicles' enter directly into the bedroom (not a separate bathroom, just glass doors between them and the bedroom).

Superb 5* hotel!!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic!! The staff are so attentive and professional. Every inch of the hotel and pool is immaculate and clean. There were always sun loungers by the pool and the hotel has a no reservation sunbed policy which ensures there’s always space.

The food was incredible. I have a gluten allergy the staff provided fresh baked gluten free bread and delicious chocolate brownie.
Valentina the head waitress always took time to explain which dishes I was able to eat.
There was always so much choice despite my dietary restrictions.

The location of the hotel is excellent it’s between Can Pastilla and S Arenal. We had a partial sea view with a lovely floating chair. The balcony had sun from 11am until sunset.

This hotel should be a 5* and I would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Mallorca.

Great hotel one street back from the beach

We had a corner room with a partial sea view and hanging chair on the balcony. The room was modern, clean and bright.

We were half board and there was a great spread of food at breakfast time. For dinner the hotel runs two buffet nights and five theme nights a week. Overall the food was great - although you can tell some of the deserts had not been defrosted long enough as they were on occassion still slighlty frozen. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced - coffees around €2 and a glass of wine around €3.50.

The hotel staff were all polite and helpful. Valentina in particular went above and beyond and was great to chat too.

We particularly liked the atmosphere at night on the rooftop terrace. Great views over Playa de Palma with a dj playing some chilled tunes a few nights a week.

So this is a good hotel generally. But there are things which need to be improved. Housekeepers bother you each morning with entering into your room several times. It's very annoying. There is not any don't disturb sign for the door. My sunglasses disappeared from the room too. The housekeepers left my room's door unlocked after cleaning. It was staying like that all day long with my values. The same problem with the balcony door. So I would suggest using the safe. The spa area is not good too. The sauna and steam rooom were smelling very bad. You can't use it. Food is good. Water or any kind of drinks need to be paid for the dinner. I never seen something like that before for the water. It's only in Mallorca as that. So stupid. Rooms are good but it depends on which side of the hotel you get the room. The road in front of the hotel can be very annoying. Honestly I wouldn't come here again.

Wonderful!

An exceptionally clean and modern hotel in a fantastic area close to the beach and airport. The room was comfortable and it was lovely of the staff to upgrade us as it was our anniversary! Overall the hotel had a very calm and friendly atmosphere and we would definiately return! The ONLY criticism I could make was that we didn’t find the buffet food to be very hot but the selection and quality was good.

I didn't like that water wasn't included even though we booked \"half board\". So every night for dinner I was forced to stay thirsty or forced to buy a very expensive bottle of water 2.20 euros for a tiny bottle because we didn't pay for all inclusive!! Water should be included in every single meal. That was actually ridiculous! There was absolutely no nighttime entertainment. Also, an iron in the room would be useful to press clothes that have been stuck in luggages while travelling.

Hotel is contemporary and nice and bright and clean.
Some of the fittings in the room were in odd places. Hanging lights in front of a long mirror that needed to be loved so that you could see into it without falling over the bedside table.
Likewise pendant light on other side of the bed in front of the door to the balcony!!! Poorly thought through design.
Plenty Room for a set of drawers under the counter but space not utilised.
Awesome breakfasts!
Dinners hot and miss...some were cold and the fish was so over cooked it could not be cut let alone eaten.
Staff were mostly lovely with the exception of one waitress on our last night who was exceptionally rude!!! She then proceeded to tell all her colleagues (in Spanish) whatever her thoughts were after I complained about her to the restaurant manager. Appalling behaviour! Fortunately this happened on the last night so we didn’t have to experience her rudeness and unprofessional behaviour again.
All in all we had a pleasant stay.

Loved this hotel, no problems with the hotel. The room was lovely and room was ready earlier than we expected. Bed was very comfy, area was quiet.. very clean and staff were great. Lots of food choices, I only had a slight problem as I am celiac that there was a lot of things I couldn’t have and struggled abit with choices, also the food wasn’t labelled so I had to ask the ingredients for each dish and a lot contained wheat, which I expected as not every hotel caters to dietary requirements, Apart from this everything was really good and I would definitely stay again.

This Hotel was lovely from the the moment we walked in the door the reception staff were so helpful also allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. We had expected a rear facing room but turned out we over the and sea facing which was lovely and had full sun in the evening before going to dinner.
All the staff were friendly flet a little left out in the dining room as we were on all inclusive which we found sometimes uncomfortable but the only difference I can see is that we had already paid for everything so they didn’t need to pay us much attention to get more orders.
But saying the above was only minor as the rest was one out the better hotels we have been too.
We would definitely like to return as loved the hotel and the area.
The room didn’t have any tea or coffee facilities which would of been nice for an early drink and perhaps there may well be a reason for this ? But have to say the bar staff were amazingly helpful, down even knowing what you were drinking !

We can't recommend this hotel enough! Food was faultless and a great choice for everyone - especially on the themed nights. We opted for all inclusive and there was a good selection of drinks included in the package. Staff couldn't do more for you and the hotel itself was immaculate with a very personal boutique style. The beach is a 30 second walk...highly recommend!

Staff were a law unto themselves. They ran the place to their convenience rather than to the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. The rooms are a mix between a student hall of residence and a 2 star hotel you might find in a motorway service station. There is a “all day drinks”
option for €15, for which regular drinks are replaced with bottle mix cocktails, and the roughest wines imaginable - it’s quite terrible. Every staff member seems to keep their eye on the next dollar. Genuinely disappointed, as it’s in a nice place, and has great potential. Just need some management.

Nice hotel, friendly food and good staff.
Had an issue with quite a substantial leak coming from the above room but was so we had to move but was resolved quite quickly.
The area wasn’t for us but the hotel made up for this

Amazing hotel 2 mins from the beach. Shop across the road. 10 mins in a taxi from the airport.Hotel Staff were lovely, asked for a room change as a little noisey close to a boiler room..was given a free upgrade to a room over looking the pool with double balcony. Would highly reccomend.

Great Brand

Lovely modern hotel. Stayed for 5 nights on a Half board bases. Room was clean and up to date. Couldn’t fault the food. Every night they had a different theme and none repetitive. Pool area good, only slight complaint sun beds could have been a bit more comfortable. I have stayed in a sister hotel in Palma. Well impressed with the HM brand 👍

Fantastic food. Very noisy air con. Nice beach.

Overall its a good hotel. It provides amazing breakfast and dinner with huge tasty selection. Location is good very near the beach, but far from city center. Buses are always full and most of the times they dont even stop. You need a taxi to city center. There is a taxi stop nearby but it doesnt alway have taxis available and other taxis sometimes refused to take us to the center because they knew there would be huge traffic.

In the room, its comfortable even though its small. However the air con makes a very loud engine noise that didn't let us sleep. I told reception but he said its normal noise and that he will ask tecnician to come. Tecnician never came, even though i stayed there for 6 more nights.

Nevertheless the highlight of this hotel is the awesome dinner. It has fantastic selection of tasty food, with different theme everyday. If you stay here , you definetely need to book the half board option as the dinner is not to be missed. The sweets were not that good though, just the ice cream was good.
Breakfast is also fantastic with cheese pancakes.

Swimming pool seems good as well, i didnt see many screaming kids even though its not an adults only hotel.
wifi is charged for around 5 euros a day. its one of the slowest i ever came across. maximum speed is even less than 2mb/second. it even measured 0.1mb at one point. so forget streaming movies here.
there is a safe inside BUT there is a charge for 3 euro per day which is kind of pointless and ridiculous.

Good location. Easy access into Palma by express bus no.25. Lots of amenities close by. Lovely clean beach. Hotel spotlessly clean with interesting decor. Only downsides being limited storage in the hotel room and some of the younger hotel staff in need of customer relationship training.

Relaxing atmosphere

Hotel Was very modern and comfortable. The lounge area next to pool was amazing and relaxing. Would see people fall asleep on the sofas! Showers were great! TV and balconies were a plus.
Breakfast buffet was amazing. First thing to greet you was champagne ! Dinner room was very nice. I liked the hotel had an inside and outside dining areas as well as lounging areas.
Front desk was helpful and friendly!

HM Balanguera Beach

Great hotel. Very modern with all the facilities to enjoy a relaxing stay. Close to the beach and the shops and bars. Lovely pool, and roof top plunge pool and sunbeds. Everything at this hotel was carefully thought about and planned. Food was also very good. We will certainly come back again. Even the staff are dressed very modern to match the hotels up market feel.

Lovely Spot to chill....

Make sure you choose the right hotel there is the HM Balanguera (in Palma City) AND HM Balanguera Beach (Playa da Palma) we ended up in the wrong place to start off with!! Nice, but minimalist boutique hotel. Check-in was underwhelming as the customer service was not up to spec - no information given, room keys didn't work on multiple attempts. One customer service agent Andrea was very nice and friendly and gave a load of information when approached. The hotel is minutes walk from the beach and bus stop into Palma. WiFi is NOT included and must be paid for separately, which is a shame for this kind of hotel. The pool/bar area (Nielson was very heplful) and roof top terrace were both very nice. very good food for breakfast and dinner. Good for a few days relaxation.

Interesting, modern place

Very interesting design throughout the hotel. It's like a modern art museum! I liked my room and common areas. It's close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Very quiet and nice area. The only concern was no wifi ( you can get one for a ridiculous price.. and toilet has no doors, it's part of the design, but very weird for me, especially if you are traveling with your couple :) but overall I'm happy with my stay, will book it again!
