The room was a great size and very comfortable. It had everything you would need and the bathroom is a great size. There is some minor wear/tear/stains which is to be expected but everything was clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and check in/out was a breeze. Perfectly located right by the tube and near loads of lovely restaurants and shops to pick up what you might need!

This hotel is located 200m South of Aldgate East tube station, the entrance is either through the coffee shop or around the back. Check in was efficient, but an addional card authority was requested.
We were given top story room as I requested. The room was clean and spacious, with an excellen view of the city ; it had a kitchenette with wash machine, dish washer and fridge. The shower was powerful and hot, the amenites all worked.
Monor points were the bed mattress was dish shaped and probably needs to be replaced , and only one towel provided. We paid £140 for the room. Other than that, I would highly recommend the room and hotel and would score it as a mid range 4 star hotel.

The room was sizeable and very clean with all the amenities that you need for a stay. The staff are very welcoming and quick to resolve any issues that came up. The only drawback was that our bed seemed to dip in the middle so we didn’t get the best night sleep. But it is in a well connected location, close to key central landmarks and I would stay there again.

The room needs some updates. It is smaller than other apartment we stayed before. Our biggest complain was it seemed lack of care and attention to details. For example, there was no kettle when we checked in, missing fork and spoon. The ranger is so slow which makes it almost impossible to cook. But that was one of the main reason for family like us to book an apartment instead of hotel room.
Staffs are nice and helpful. Location is also convenience.

The drains in the toilet were disgusting… reported … tole maintenance would sort next day… never came

A/c heating not working… got a heater with legs attached with tape… tole maintenance would sort next day… never came

Sounds like they have problems with the plumbing as about 3 times an hour.. lounge noise in the full floor… did not bother to report as never get anything sorted!

On arrival the self check in was quick and convenient. We went to the room, on first glance we’re nice rooms and kitchen studio room. On inspection the bathroom mirror was grossly dirty with splash stains , the hallway mirror was dirty and there where what looked like blood spots dotted throughout the kitchen floor. I had to call staff to show them, they cleaned the room when we were out. The shower room had a wet room and all the water from the shower went into the bedroom under the door and caused a flooding in the room. Not designed well at all.. i had to request towels to mop up all the escaped water.

The hotel has a very good location, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. There was no housekeeping and no room service during our stay. The hotel is starting to look worn out, with stains on the furniture and on the walls. Despite the great location, I would not return to this hotel.

Not sure how this received a 9.2 when we booked it.Hotel has a good location, but that is about it. The room is not for 3 people. We booked for 3 people and when we arrived they asked if we wanted to add a bed for our 3rd guest at a cost of $56 additional each night. We booked the hotel for 5 nights and paid $1760. We had 1 towel, 1 hand towel and no additional bedding. This hotel is not for a family. We even had to go get additional toilet paper mid-week. No cleaning or any new towels unless you went down to the desk to get them. Do not stay here if yoy have more than 2 people. We still would not recommend. Seen other customers have several issues as well.

Conveniently located near Aldgate East station - literally across the street. There are many places within a 10 minute walk to get food (e.g., restaurants, pubs and grocery) and shopping.

The hotel itself is modern, but does show its age. The sofa in the room was very stained and our bed sheets were also stained with bodily fluids. The staff was responsive and they brought us new sheets.

The kitchen was well-stocked and had good amenities for when we wanted to cook our meals.

Overall, it was a decent experience and I would recommend - 7.5/10

I travel to London regularly for work for 1-2 weeks at a time and usually try out various apart hotels near London Bridge.

Lemon Locke was ok. Front desk were good, but occasionally forgetful.
The cleaning service that was supposed to happen on Sat at the 1-week mark didn’t happen until Tuesday after multiple requests and they missed half of it.

The room is a decent size and the WiFi worked well. It was nice having a cafe in the lobby, even if the cost was a little on the high side. Lots of restaurants in the area and steps from Aldgate station were great amenities.

I used the gym most days in the morning. It was a little busy on a few days, but I never unusable. Each room also has a roll mat, which was also good.

The kitchenette stove was mediocre. Even on the highest setting it took 10min to cook an omelette.
There’s a washer/dryer combo in the room. 1/2 the time it did a decent job of both tasks. The rest of the time the clothes still came out damp.

The couch could use a deep clean, it was stained and dingy. The tub is dangerously difficult to get in and out of if you have mobility issues it is very high with no hand rails. The bed was basic and rather hard. Only one lift worked the entire stay. It would go to the top floor and work its way down, by the time it reached a lower floor, it was full and you had to wait for another one (about 10 min). Then it would repeat the cycle all over again, and I ended up taking the stairs way too often, which was very frustrating after a long day of walking around the city. Again if you have mobility issues, I would skip this property.

The location of this place is amazing but could do for some upgrades as the rooms are not as advertised. My bathroom on arrival was very dirty, I had to clean it myself to be able to use it. I arrived late in the evening so couldn’t be bothered to wait any longer for someone to clean it.

Very minimal items in the kitchen - 1 spoon, 1 fork, etc. No paper towel in the kitchen and one cloth towel was provided. I had to request washing liquid for the dishwasher and laundry.

Air Con didn’t work and when I messaged down to ask for assistance was sent a 3 sec widow of someone pressing the one button.

The staff at the front was hit or miss. Some amazing, some too bored to be there.
At one point they notified me of a potential leak and needed to come and look at my unit. The maintenance people left the bathroom a mess and I was told someone would be right up to clean. Several hours went by and I had to ask 2 times before someone was sent. No real acknowledgment of the inconvenience.

I think this location could use an update but I would consider other locations as I do like the concept.

Super easy to find and a short block from the Aldgate East tube station. The functional kitchen and laundry in suite were fantastic! Staff were warm and friendly, and key venues were easy to get to from here. Short, pleasant walk to Spitalfields Market in one direction and the Tower in another. There are little convenience stores very close by to get groceries or ready to eat meals.

The staff are great. The room not so much. I stayed in 707. The bin in the bathroom hadn’t been emptied, neither tv’s worked, the bed was uncomfortable even with a mattress topper, electric socket loose, lots of holes just filled with mastic but not painted over and I assumed Stevie Wonder made the bed up (bed sheets not even tucked in). Overall I’d expect a lot more for £200 per night.

The room was quite large and newer. It had nice kitchen and laundry amenities and a lovely large window to let in the light. Some of the staff were very helpful with our getting around in London questions. They had difficulty providing us with keys that would work consistently and could not help us with setting the air conditioning setting. The room was clean with the exception of the sofa. The area immediately surrounding the property was new and lovely, but venturing further out the area was dirty and there seemed to be concerns about crime, as indicated in a sign erected by police at a local park.

Leman Locke is a great hotel in an interesting neighbourhood. There's a tube stations about 200m away, it's walking distance to Liverpool station and there are loads of eating options around. I would describe the property as an apartment hotel. There's a small kitchen, dining and sitting area along with a very spacious bathroom and a sleeping area. The thoughtfulness ranges from the convenience of each unit having a laundry machine to numerous spots with USB plugs around the room. The service at the front desk is friendly and efficient. The hotel also has a great coffee shop on the ground floor.
