We really enjoyed our time at Rio Bravo! The staff were friendly and kind, and even taught us a bit of Spanish. The buffet offers a good selection of food, and we didn’t mind the 3 drink per person cap (it’s designed to stop people misbehaving), and the staff were lenient. We look forward to returning one day.

Do not go by the description all inclusive is a total lie. Food terrible inside the hotel. More important this is a place where customer service is not important. My AC broke and I had to stay during the entire time without it. Inside the room floor tile were loose. I asked for another room and they denied it. Hotel customers feels like you are in a retirement facility. Almost all guest were in the late seventies. I want to make it clear I don’t have nothing against this. I love my old community. But that was not in my plans. This was a vacation to celebrate my birthday. It was Terrible in general. Do not rent this hotel without reading and look up in google. I didn’t do it and I paid the price. If you are coming to Mallorca go to Palma a very nice place with beautiful people.

Not for families. The all inclusive 0'0 includes only a few beers and during dinner. Amenities are good but the environment is not for families with children. If you are a a family with small children hoping to enjoy an all inclusive option this place is not appropriate.

The resort is excellent! One thing i noticed. There is no music playing and the one they have is for a funeral home. They need an activity person to make people have a good time other than eat and tan. The show at 9 pm is not good. Singers cant engage with customers because they are bad. Thats the only thing i see.

I been in different Riu resorts Cancun, Punta Cana, Costa Rica.......moor
I don't like one thing hotel is all inclusive but you have to pay for beers at pool every where 5 euro except in buffet you have right only for 3 free drinks, I have to buy Beers from outside to drink cost 2 Euro. The music in night is not good . Another issues and very very important to all visitors the most ATM machine is scam !!!!
You must visited the Cathedral and city Palma

The room was OK, towels small, need cash for a beach towel, food was excellent, absolutely outstanding, poolsnwere ok, indoor pool closed, hot jacuzzi was just warm, cold plung pool was just slightly cool.

Door key useless, 5 changes in 4 days and reception blamed me, i switched pockets and bags to no avail. Not near phone or bank cards just kept failing.

Area is busy with german youngsters, but well behaved, would recommend 40s people stay nearer the airport.

My Adult daughter and I enjoyed our 4 day stay.
There are many large groups of young German guests (many of whom stay in the hotel) who party all day and night in the area adjacent to the hotel which I would describe as the German equivalent of Benidorm or Magaluf.
We did hear noise till 10.30 pm and then when the young people were returning to the hotel in the early hours although this was not prolonged.
There are very few English speaking guests although this was not an issue.
Our room was perfect with the exception of our balcony which faced a very high concrete wall therefore we had no sun or view and it rendered it unusable. We asked to move (willing to pay for an upgrade) However there was no availability.

Good hotel but maybe not the best for families

Good hotel, very friendly staff, good food, great location 10min from the airport and 1min walk to the beach. We had a good time as a family with an infant but I don't think this hotel should be advertised as a good choice for families. It is located right in the middle of the German party area and it is noisy but bearable now thay it is off season in late October. In high season this is not an area for families to be at all, great groups that don't minding the side effects of being in the epicenter of the German party area. Plenty of restaurants and clubs around.

The hotel room needed some TLC. The toilet flush and bathroom handle broke during our stay and there was mould growing on the ceiling above my bed which needed cleaning (there appeared to be a damp issue). The staff were very friendly and there was plenty of food choice.

The good: Hosts were nice, took their time to explain questions and staff at the hotel were very nice. For all inclusive, I thought the food was great, really cant complain, I mean lets be honest you wont see lobsters or caviar but there was one night where they served shrimp, which was amazing. I saw some bad reviews about alcohol, so beer and wine is included only during lunch and dinner and there is a limit though I never had anyone questioning why Im on my 6th beer glass. Hotel is in quiet area and we slept well.
The bad: I think the rule with towels is the dumbest rule. When you take a towel or towels, you have to give 10 euros for each towel and they will provide a receipt. When you return towels, they will give you back cash with a receipt, we took 5 towels and of course I lost one of the receipts though they were going through
Copies and did not find in their records either, just a silly system, should really be charged to the room instead of tickets, felt like we were living in the 80s. The main issue though is they provide exchange of fresh towels only next day in the morning so if you went to the beach or were at the pool and want a fresh towel you have to wait till morning. Im sorry but this is the dumbest rule, this did not sit well with my wife and they exchanged it on the spot but I think they should really rethink this policy.

This is not an all inclusive property as they advertise, parking is not available, only street parking If you can find one spot. The pools are not designed to handle the amount of people staying at the hotel, and the water wasn’t clean in appearance, we were never able to enjoy the pools. The food is good though. Our AC didn’t work for the entire stay even we requested their assistance several times

Good selection of soft drinks ', tea , coffee, hot chocolate available thyoighout the day & evening. Located one street away from beach , 2 minute walk; food high quality and lots of variety , ( also hor vegetarians and pescetarians)

Lively bier bars a street away.

Bus stop 5 mins nearby ', with regular bus going to Palma (€2 each way) and also publuc bus to airport. We prebooked with Transunion and that worked smoothly .

Recommend Tabanas for drinks and show,

At Palma airport . Water refill station is located at Gate A .

- there was no adults only swimming pool, there were noisy children in all the three pools all the time
- little explanation of meals composition
- stopping air conditioning in communal areas and restaurants. Too hot after 2 pm.
- poor quality or no snacks or food between official meal times.
- self service drink machines not always working.
- meal times catered for the German/English tourists, no dinner or food available after 21:30.

Did like:
- excellent customer service and genuinely nice staff
- a bus ride away from central Palma and the airport.

It worthed every single Euro to stay at Riu Bravo.

This is an oasis in the middle of a busy area. Super clean and well-organised. And the variety of food available for breakfast and dinner is great.

All staffs are very cordial, competent and do their best to provide a good experience to the guests - my special thanks to Miguel and Luiz at the restaurant, they went beyond when my family asked for something.

I've rented a car and drove to other beaches as I didn't like Palma's vibe for a family trip (too many bachelor/ette party groups). Although there isn't dedicated parking at the hotel, I had no difficulty finding spots to park on the streets nearby.

I strongly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is excellent. Close to the airport, a short walk away from the beach, the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner is very good and offers a variety of choices. We did one of the à la carte restaurants one night, and that was good too. Rooms are very nice and service is great too.

My only concern was that the hotel is right on the middle of “Germany”. We had no idea that that area of Palma de Mallorca is mostly owned and inhabited by Germans. Most restaurants and stores are run by Germans, you hear more people speaking German than Spanish. They can get very loud and noisy. There were lots of young people there to party, on the beach and on hotel grounds. Some would even yell in the hotel hallways at 3am and bang on doors to wake everyone up.
As quiet Canadians, we stuck out like sore thumbs in the crowd. If we had known this in advance, we probably would have gone to another area on the island.

I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, it’s just where it’s situated that we were not crazy about.

The food was terrible!!! A bad canteen ???The staff unfriendly . The taxi driver either didn’t put the babies buggy in the taxi ( it was next to the case ) or he didn’t unload it !!?!! Either way we asked what should could we do , at the hotel reception . Just so unhelpful !! Mostly they stared at us and said you can’t do anything!!!

Friendly staff was a highlight of the trip. Clean facilities, good food, as well. Would have liked for the pool to be open for more hours in the day (was only open from 10:30 to 6:30), and for there to be a more fun vibe and attitude. I would recommend they play louder music during the day, stock the swim-up bar so it's not empty and useless, have some games and activities going on, and extend the hours of the pool and of the bars.

The hotel was clean and modern. The restaurant had a good selection of food for all meals.
The majority of staff were friendly and helpful.
The pool area was a nice space, it's just a shame that families decided to use the bar pool as a child pool instead of the family pool on-site. Pool water getting splashed into drinks when trying to relax isn't the best.
The indoor pool was just two large jacuzzis, it would have been nice to be able to have a swim when the weather was too cold outside but thankfully the cold spells don't last too long in Mallorca.
I would certainly stay at this property again.

I recently stayed here with my mum, dad and boyfriend. We checked in and were early but the room was going to be ready shortly. We were offered a glass of Cava on arrival and told we could use all of the amenities as soon as we finished at the desk. We initially thought we had booked an adults only resort, but this was not the case, probably down to our own error! But it didn't spoil anything for us. It was lovely and clean, the food was wonderful and varied and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would most certainly come back.

Just as a heads up. The majority of the guests were German and it is in a very German influenced area. This was absolutely fine, we just had no idea.

Hotel is in a good location.

It took the (single) receptionist 17 minutes to check one couple in. At one point I thought they must be applying for a Spanish passport but in the end it turned out to be just a room!

A guest had a heart attack on the dance floor on our first night and the hotel staff were useless in dealing with the situation. The bar staff carried on serving drinks and left the guy to be resuscitated by the guests! It took 30 mins for the emergency service to arrive and then 4 turned up at the same time.

The hotels ok but just make sure your in good health before you go!

Warning: if you are not German, do not stay at this hotel or the Palma region in general. Everyone , and I am not exaggerating, was German and spoke no English. The same thing goes for the beach. Instead visit the south east part of Mallorca. The hotel itself was decent and staff were very attentive otherwise.

Close to the beach

Riu Bravo is close to the beach. Upon arrival we received complimentary champagne, we received info about timings for breakfast and dinner but no info about the surrounding area and things to do- this would have been helpful.
Room- nice, big, spacious, clean.
Food-lots of choice, rice dishes are undercooked, beef stroganoff is AMAZING, ring doughnuts are good, round doughnuts have no filling?? The breakfasts are good especially the freshly cooked breakfast when the woman is cooking the eggs you have to wait for them because she makes them in front of you.. when the man does them there is always a batch in the oven behind him ready to come out I personally preferred when the woman was making them.
Staff- staff in the dinner halls and bars were very friendly and tried really hard to understand what you wanted and always said hello, please, thank you and your welcome (Spanish, German and English)
Front Desk however, were unfortunately unhelpful and in fact rude. We needed to make a phonemail to our trader company and the front desk not only refused to help us but told us to use a mobile phone because the company probably spoke English. Never in any 4* hotel have I ever experienced such poor customer services or rudeness from staff it would have been a two minute phone call. I have stayed all over Italy in non all inclusive hotels which have been 4* and they have always been willing to help customers I feel the front desk lacked customer care.

location was perfect, not on main street which is very noisy, just one block inside which made it perfect being away from the noise at night. very vivid area will a lot of restaurants, shops, clubs. the beach was amaizing lots of sand and space, the water was just perfect.
the hotel was really great, upon arrival a glass of Cava was offered to us, the hotel staff was very attentive and friendly. the service and the food was great too, lots of variety in every meal.
will definetly reccomend this hotel to our friends and possibly be back again

Nice hotel, ruined by drunk German football fans

Unfortunately the location, Arenal has been taken over by loud drunk German Football fans. The din on the strip, set up for these louts is unbearable. It is full of sex and football bars and the whole area has been taken over by German tourism. If I wanted to go on holiday to Germany I would have. I wanted to experience Spanish culture in Mallorca. The written and spoken language on the vast majority of tv channels, hotel information, local cafes and bars, hotel and local entertainment, were in German. Going for earky morning strolls along the beach was spoilt by grouos of these louts still drunk. The beach and main road werebeing cleared of beer cans half eaten German junk food.
We'd hoped to find a mixture of tourists within the local culture.
On 8 out of the 10 nights we stayed at the hotel the entertainment was shockingly poor, so much so that we had to go out for the evenings and keep our balcony doors closed.
The hotel cost us £400 more than was on our itinery in pounds due to the poor which cam as a shock from the less than helpful hotel reception staff, who were unable to clarify the exhange rate and cost in pounds as they demanded the total sum in Euros on our arrival after a 24 hour journey. We are taking this up with Expedia, but feel that the staff should have been able to clarify the additional cost rather than just demand it. It was an upsetting introduction to the hotel and there were leaflets in German and other languages available, but not in English.

Can we return yet?!

Food was excellent and changed every day. The pool bar was easily the best I've been too!! Would recommend to anyone!

The hotel room was of very high standard and the staff were very accomodating. We weren't overly impressed with the food but there is plenty of choice and we didn't go hungry. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

not a very good experience at riu bravo

booked 5 nights here going by the pictures , however massive building site across from my room , warning to others , staff unhelpful no room change etc , i was looking to spend some relax time but didnt happen , seems that unless i was in a party or organised tour i was just treated very badly wouldnt go back total waste of hard earned money ,also all the tv was in german no english at all

Excellent refurbished 4* hotel in Playa de Palma

We stopped in this hotel for a long weekend over Easter. It had just re-opened after being refurbished, and on the whole it was excellent. The décor was very good. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom, nor any bottled water given, but this is probably because we were all inclusive and you could get drinks whenever you wanted. All of the staff were very attentive and pleasant. The food was of good quality and you could help yourselves to wine, beer, soft drinks etc. in the restaurant, and also by the pool. The indoor pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, spa, etc. were good, and there was also a small gym. The only criticism I would have was that it would have been good to have one of the outdoor pools heated so that it could be used. The weather was very good whilst we were there, but the water in the pools was freezing!

ELDERLY INCLINED HOTEL

aPPARENTLY THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST RIU HOTELS BUILT AND IT SHOWS, VERY TIRED DECOR NEEDS TOTAL REFURBISHMENT. ALL INCLUISVE DEAL OK BUT ALCOHOLIC DRINKS POOR QUALITY AND SELECTION AND WINE NOT GOOD AT ALL. NO TEA OR COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES IN ROOM. AIR CONDITIONING VERY NOISY. ENTERTAINMENT POOR QUALITY. IT IS NOT A BAD DEAL IF YOU GET OUT OF SEASON TARIFF. NOT MUCH FOR CHILDREN TO DO.

Sov der en natt pga et kansellert fly. Bestilte rom med plass til 4 pers. Da vi kom, viste det seg at det ikke fantes. De ga oss god service og vi ble oppgradert til en suite. Meget bra! Sovekomforten var sånn passe. Vi trengte fire puter (en til hver), fikk bare tre stk og resepsjonen lurte på om det var viktig med den siste puta.. Gardinene lot seg ikke trekke for, og hotellet ligger i et område med mye lyd. Altså ikke tilrettelagt for god søvn.

Maten var ikke særlig god, etter min mening. Litt kantinepreget. Frokost helt ok. Enormt støynivå i restauranten.

Super Lage um den Bierkönig und den Megapark zu besuchen. Leider sind die Handtücher viel zu dünn und zu klein. Außerdem ist es schade, dass keinerlei Musik läuft tagsüber. Das hätte ich zumindest an der Poolbar viel gemütlicher gefunden und auch erwartet.

O hotel é péssimo me senti completamente enganada pelas fotografias, hotel velho, mal cuidado, serviço de limpeza terrível, sem contar o sistema all incluso, horrível puro bandejão! Não tivemos coragem de entrar na piscina de tanta gente, nap indico de modo algum! Horrível
