On a positive note first we were happy with the room, house keeping, bar area and the bar staff. On a negative note, we weren’t impressed with the food or the waiting staff. The food hardly warm and the quality of the ingredients was a lot to be desired on certain items. The crockery and glass ware not up to a clean standard. Waiting staff were busy but we were disappointed not to be offered a drink with our meal even though we tried to attract their attention. This also happened at breakfast time so we did not have a hot drink. Everyone else seemed to be offered. To be woken at 4am on two occasions by people returning to their rooms, shouting and singing and banging around etc not acceptable, this lasted for between 45 and 60 minutes. All in all a disappointing experience. We were happy enough with the location etc but with the negatives we would not choose to return as we left disappointed.

I’d rate this more as a 3-star than a 4-star hotel.

Check in: The man on reception when we arrived was really nice and welcoming, no issues there. Don’t know his name but he was bald (sorry).

Check out: Completely different story. There were three people on reception – a middle-aged brunette man, an older man sitting down, and an older woman – and they were honestly so rude. They tried to charge us an extra £1000, saying we hadn’t paid, even though we had the receipt right in front of them. Instead of even checking properly, the brunette guy and woman just kept repeating, “we wouldn’t have the bill if you’d already paid.” We had to message Expedia (who we booked through), and when Expedia called the hotel, the older guy answered and actually said, “I don’t know why the hell they’re calling you.” In the end, it turned out we were right and we had paid, but there were no apologies at all. They also tried to charge us for soft drinks during meals, even though we were all-inclusive. Again, once we pointed it out, they took it off, but still no apology.

Other cons: Bed was really uncomfortable, food very repetitive, gym wasn’t great, and the pool was tiny.

Pros: Room was clean, nice view, short 10 min walk to the beach. Most of the staff throughout our stay were actually really lovely – it was just the reception team on check-out that left a bad taste.

Overall, I wouldn’t call this a 4-star experience and wouldn’t return.

Grupotel Orient in Mallorca advertises itself as a four-star establishment, but in reality, it is more akin to a good three-star hotel. While it was clean, the facilities have clearly aged and no longer meet the standards one would expect from a four-star property. The hotel staff were quite authoritarian, creating the impression that they were looking for any opportunity to impose rules, which negatively affected the overall experience.

Another downside was the air conditioning system, which could not be adjusted to the desired temperature but was instead set according to the hotel's preference. Additionally, the pool and sun loungers were insufficient for the size of the hotel, which has seven floors. Even at the pool's opening time at 10 a.m., there was already a queue for sun loungers.

On the positive side, the hotel is well-located, just a 15-minute walk from the beach. The beach itself was a true oasis of relaxation, with a beautiful sea that made the effort worthwhile. In conclusion, the hotel does not live up to its four-star rating, and the overall experience was mixed, with both positive and negative aspects.

The restaurant and staff and choice of food was beyond my expectations, i would definitely rate that a 4 star. The spar facilities also fab! Hotel rooms i would rate a 3* as certain things are in need of an upgrade. Their was alot of noise all throughout the nights, \"lots of knocking on doors, there was no consideration towards the other guests at all\"! When notified reception, it was delt with very well however it's a constant turnover so the same problem with a different room, had minimal sleep over 2 of the nights. It was mentioned from a female member of reception staff that, we try and put all the old together on the same floor, \"so what about young families with small children \"do you also have a seperate floor for them\"! Nobody likes to be put in a box only for you to accommodate the customer's you find matter the most!

Unique part of the hotel was friendly, helpful and very kind of staff they had. I would like to recommend to everyone to stay ın Grupotel Orient, where we felt safe, welcomed, enjoyed every minute of our stay. The night shows and kive musics were also good surprise. Thank you for management who thought about every details to make their guests to feel comfortable like at home and thank you to all workers of the hotel, who did not work to just earn a wage but put their good heart and lights on work and services.

Pleasant solo stay during the first week of October, but the weather was a bit hit and miss and not warm enough for pleasant swimming in my opinion. The hotel is really good value for money with the inclusive buffet meals and unlimited use of the outdoor pool and the spa/wellness centre which includes a wet and dry sauna and indoor pool. If you're a light sleeper I'd advise requesting a room on the rear side of the building. The front side can be subject to noise from entertainment out the front. I requested to move and was given a quieter room without issue.

Good food, rooms but no parking & terrible manager

I was staying at the orient for one night on a stopover and overall the hotel was great, reception staff were great. Food was good and I really enjoyed the hotel overall. I only had one issue and that was with the manager.

First of all I was stopping over for one night only and I would have a hire car so I chose this hotel as it clearly states that it has free parking. As I was unable to find the parking I pulled up outside the hotel (which is on a side street and not in a very busy area) in a spot designed for the shuttle bus, as I was only going to be there for 2 minutes while I ran in to reception to ask them whereabouts the parking was.
It was approximately 00:00 and just as I got out of the car a person who told me he was the hotel manager immidately rushed over the me and told me that I must move immediately, I said sorry is it okay if I leave it there for two minutes to go and speak to the reception about parking.
Immediately and aggressively he said \"no you must move the car now and I am copalling the police\"
I was shocked to say the least and I said I'm sorry I don't think that's necessary it's only for a minute while I run in and ask about parking.
Very abruptly he responded with \"there is no parking, I'll call the police. Park somewhere else\"

I said I'm sorry but where am I supposed to park? The hotels.com website clearly states free parking\"
He said that these aren't the hotel website so it's none of his concern and mentioned the police again.

Perfect for a few days away.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and modern throughout, room was amazing and cleaned daily. Food was superb, all diets catered for and very tasty. Can't fault the hotel at all and i got it at a great price and was upgraded to a double room from a single. Would definitely return. 10 minutes from the airport by taxi, near to a bus stop to take you to Palma, and 5 minute walk from the beach. I think I was the only English person there as everybody else seemed to be German, but I travel to get away from home so this suited me just fine :-)

Very rude staff in hotel's restaurant.

I bought a full board with this hotel, meaning breakfast, lunch and dinners were included. On our second day waiter at the restaurant was super rude during lunch. He was telling me that our names were not on the list. He was very agitated, yelled at us in front of other patrons. I firmly asked him for his name, but he covered his name tag and run away. It was very humiliating scene. I have complained to the hotel's manager, but he told that he already spoke to the waiter and apparently the waiter thought that we are from another hotel. He sent us a bottle of wine, but I felt that the whole situation was completely mismanaged and the waiter never apologised to us.
One thing I would suggest - simple wrist bracelet appropriately colour coded would eliminate this type of situation in the future. May be recognising that some waiters are more suited to work as security officers would be a much better fit, would also help.
The whole incident left a really sour taste and I am not planning to return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel short walk to beach in a quiet street

Overall hotel was lovely. Modern room and bar, staff were all lovely. Only ate in hotel a couple of times but food was good and plenty variety. I would say the hotel definitely falls into Arenal. It seems the influence of that resort is creeping along toward Palma so depending on the time of drinking/dining you like it may not be for you. Heading away from Arenal and toward Palma is less German influenced.

Drunken in the night, wouldn't say its suitable for families with small children. Lovely beach, however, more of a party scene. easy to travel to other areas! and buses are cheap and often :)

The hotel is nice and staff friendly. My room was small but cozy. Unfortunately the hotel was really noisy. At the evening and night time there were groups of young people getting drunk and being noisy across the hotel. My room was close to staff room which was really noisy from 8am. Overall hotel nice in good location but it's impossible to get a good sleep.

It is a large hotel with a good service, excellent food (hot drinks are not available at dinner even for money). Everything is provided, but environment is quite noisy. There is a restaurant on the one side of building where music plays till the night, while an equipment, which rustles day and night, is at the other side. There are German people only.

Rent, snyggt och prydligt. Inget att klaga på. Trevlig personal, fint städat på rummet förutom en dag (annan städerska dvs personnumret). Saknade dricksglas på rummet utöver tandborstglasen och någon form av skål så man kan sitta på balkongen och ta ett glas med lite snacks till. Ibland fick vi påfyllning med vatten på rummet och ibland inte. Bra frukostbuffé, saknade nötter och frön till yoghurten - mer sockerfria alternativ borde finnas. Överlag trevligt hotell.

Das Servicepersonal wirkte leider oft lustlos. Essen nichts qualitativ kein Highlight, aufgrund des Budgets teilweise nicht frisch. Geschirr teilweise dreckig/fleckig. Bon hôtel si tu es proche de la plage, donc pratique. Le seul hic auquel je n’avais pas forcément fait attention au moment de ma réservation. Les doubles ne sont pas des doubles, mais deux lits simples, collées, pas très pratique et confortable.
Au niveau de la restauration j’ai choisi la formule tout inclus et je ne regrette pas les plats variés en fonction des soirs, même si certains produits étaient là en continu, ça ne m’a pas dérangé. Par contre il faudrait peut-être voir le système de service des boissons car à chaque page, j’attendais au moins 10 ou 20 minutes avant qu’on vienne me demander ce que je voulais boire. Les chambres sont malheureusement pas très bien insonorisé, on entend les portes qui claquent la nuit des autres personnes de l’hôtel qui rentrent tard. Je recommande cependant, car grande piscine il y a souvent des transats.

Rummet låg nära hissen och stora trappen och var otroligt lyhört. Vaknade 10-tal gånger ända tills på morgonen, tyskar igång dygnet runt. Poolen skulle öppna 10, vilket är sent. Poolområdet öppnades upp men dröjde ytterligare ca 15min innan själva poolen öppnades och badhanddukarna kom.

Ich habe im Group Hotel Orient in Palma de Mallorca übernachtet. Insgesamt war es ein sehr sauberes Hotel mit einem wirklich ausgezeichneten Service – das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch meinen Freunden hat ihr großes Zimmer sehr gut gefallen.

Leider muss ich als Rollstuhlfahrer sagen, dass mein Zimmer nicht barrierefrei war. Es war deutlich kleiner, es fehlte ein Duschstuhl und Haltegriffe im Bad, und der Balkon war für mich nicht nutzbar – zu eng und mit einem Absatz, den ich nicht überwinden konnte. Das ist schade, da das Hotel ansonsten einen sehr guten Eindruck gemacht hat.

Für Reisende ohne Mobilitätseinschränkungen ist es sicher ein Top-Hotel, aber wer auf Barrierefreiheit angewiesen ist, sollte sich vorher genau informieren oder eventuell nach Alternativen schauen.

Sur le papier cet hôtel a tout pour plaire malheureusement notre expérience ne sait pas passé comme nous l’espérions. L’hôtel en lui même est très beau, pas loin de la plage, si vous parler espagnol ou allemand il n’y aura pas le moindre soucis pour communiquer avec le personnel.
On a pris l’option demi pension pour organiser nos journées au mieux, hors ce qui n’est écrit nul part c’est que les boissons du soir que ça soit soft ou alcool sont payant lors du dîner… première surprise
Sur le site on peut lire que l’hôtel offre beaucoup de services ( piscines intérieure et extérieure, spa, location de voiture, snack etc). Or si vous ne demandez pas où se situe toutes ces choses, comment ça fonctionne ou même où se trouve le restaurant personne ne vous le dit. D’habitude les réceptionnistes prennent toujours le temps de tout vous expliquer alors qu’ici on a du être constamment dans la demande de renseignements et je n’ai pas apprécié cela car j’avais l’impression de déranger le personnel.
Niveau gastronomique beaucoup de choix le matin, un peu moins le soir mais la qualité n’est pas au rendez-vous. Il serait mieux de réduire les buffets et privilégier des produits de qualités.
Gros gros point négatif on a passé de très mauvaises nuits à cause d’autres usagers qui se pensent tout seul et qui déambulent dans les couloirs tard dans la nuit. La sécurité est d’ailleurs intervenus à plusieurs reprises à cause de ces comportements répétitifs.

Das Frühstück und Abendessen war super und Abwechslungsreich, es ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung, jedoch sehr hellhörig. Die Lage haben wir für uns als perfekt empfunden. Alles in allem würden wir wieder kommen, da am Ende auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis gestimmt hat.

i was alone. the hotel gave me a very small room, the wifi did not work and the air conditioning made loud noise from outside. in the morningat 8 AM the cleaning women were very loud, they screamed in front of my door, the buckets clattered. the rooms are very keen of hearing.

Die Auswahl der Speisen für vegetarische Ernährung war sehr überschaubar und nicht abwechslungsreich. Das einchecken lief problemlos und schnell. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich hellhörig und man bekommt vom Flur und aus den Nachbarn Zimmern vieles mit so das an ausschlafen nicht zu denken ist!

Séjour agréable. Personnel globalement sympa, surtout au bar. Propreté irréprochable. Bon rapport qualité prix. Seuls bémols, lits jumeaux pour un couple, dont l'un se promenait seul ! et surtout pas possible de faire la grâce mat. malgré le \"ne pas déranger\", la femme de menage tape 1 fois et rentre. Mini 3 fois dans la matinée. Dommage, nous sommes venus nous reposer loin des contraintes d'une vie extrêmement active. A part ça, c'est top. Nous reviendrons.

Ein schönes gepflegtes Hotel mit freundlichen Personal.
Wir hatten ein kleines aber feines Zimmer, vollkommen in Ordnung.
Das Essen / Buffet war gut und ausreichend
Die Bar hat eine gute Getränkeauswahl, für AI-Gäste gibt es teilweise Getränke die bezahlt werden müssen, die inklusive Auswahl ist aber vollkommen ok.
Man merkt allerdings dass das Hotel schon einen älteren 4 Sterne Hotel Standard hat.
Es gibt einen kleinen Fitnessraum, für Personen die intensiv Sport betreiben, reichen die Gerätschaften nicht aus.
Die Poolanlage ist gepflegt, die Größe ist zufriedenstellend, das einzige was störend ist, das man für Badehandtuch eine Kaution für 10 Euro pro per Person hinterlegen muss. ( Also Geld nicht vergessen)

stanza molto carina e accogliente, l’unica pecca sono i due letti singoli uniti per fare un matrimoniale, non potevi muoverti troppo perché sennò si continuavano a dividere. Inoltre l’ascensore agli orari della colazione e della cena è una guerra prenderlo e negli orari di punta uscire fuori dal balcone è impossibile perché il sole batte da quella parte.
Per quanto riguarda il cibo tutto sommato buono e anche abbastanza vario, bello l’angolo barbecue con la carne cotta al momento.
Carina anche l’animazione la sera e la spa.
Molto vicina la fermata dell’autobus.
Come zona buona, abbastanza tranquilla, lo consiglio!

A lo único que le daría un 10 sería a los empleados que nos atendieron. En nuestra habitación, la señora de limpieza hubiera podido terminar de quitar restos del anterior huésped. En el buffet, vimos como el camarero reutilizaba los manteles individuales de papel para el siguiente servicio. Aunque los huéspedes tampoco ayudaban para el buen ambiente del hotel.... Eran extranjeros que prácticamente iban para fiesta y alcohol. Tengo que decir que nosotros nos equivocamos al escoger ubicación y hotel. Nada recomendable para ir con niños ( era mi caso) . La piscina, eran todo adultos sin ningún tipo de educación y mucho alcohol

Oberflächliche Gastfreundschaft - wenig Interesse

Sehr lautes Hotel, hellhörig, man hört die Stimmen der Nachbarzimmer extrem. Am Ende wurden wir nicht nach Feedback gefragt. Es war , ausgenommen die Roommates, sehr oberflächlicher Service.

Okay für einen Standard Kurztrip

Kommt drauf an was man möchte.
Wenn man nur am Ballermann will dann genügt dieses Hotel vollkommen.
Das Büffet war okay. Vegetarier finden bestimmt etwas. Bei Veganern oder für Menschen die Glutenfrei essen möchten wird es bestimmt etwas mühsamer. Obst immer frisch geschnitten - Gemüse natürlich aus Kübeln oder in reichlich Fett gebraten.

Der Pool ist klein aber fein. Die Betten wirklich alt (Federkernmatratzen die beim Atmen schon Geräusche machen können) und kaum auszuhalten wenn man Zuhause etwas gutes gewöhnt ist.
Zimmer grundsätzlich sauber.

Viele Freizeitangebote in der Nähe und 10 Minuten direkt beim Bierkönig.
Gute Verkehrsanbindung zum Flughafen und nach Palma.

Muy bien la limpieza. No había los típicos champus y gel en el baño, solamente una única botella que tampoco se que era exactamente. La cama era cómoda y en general la habitación muy bien. Al desayuno le faltaba un poquito más de variedad, especialmente en tipos de panes y reposteria, es muy simple. No me ha gustado el horario de cenas, que te obliga a haber acabado de cenar a las 21:00h, para españoles es un horario inadecuado, especialmente en verano. En líneas generales estoy contento con la elección del hotel y la atención recibida.

Ok hotell! Trevlig personal, ok rum (dock lyhörda och hårda sängar), en 10 min promenad till stranden. Bra pool! Ingen höjdar frukost eller middag men helt ok!

Helt okej hotell med hyffsat läge! Nära till stranden, bra med gratis parkering i anslutning till hotellet. Bra att veta är att det är ett tysk charterhotell. Rummet var ok men tyvärr var sängarna hårda och obekväma vilket är ett minus. Samt att det är lyhört. Finns kylskåp på rummet vilket var bra! Varken frukost eller middag var den bästa (trots att den var stor) men kanske att förvänta sig då det ingår i priset. Minus att man inte kan sitta utomhus. Stort plus med djup pool och trevlig personal!

Hotel pulito e confortevole a pochi minuti a piedi dal mare. Personale molto cortese, colazione e cena in linea per un 4 stelle, piscina esterna a spa ottime così come le condizioni dell’hotel in generale ed il rapporto qualità prezzo.
Soggiorno gradevole.
