The rooftop amenities such as pool sauna and bar made a lovely experience especially in the sun. The rooms are of nice aesthetic however I recommend booking only those with window view of outside (not the basic) due to slightly disorientating feeling with no outside light! Otherwise lovely staff very accommodating and friendly, felt safe with security and excellent location not far from the main square, metro station and all landmarks. Recommend!

This Hotel is located in a fantastic central area. No need for a car to explore Barcelona. The staff is so nice and helpfull. Clean room, great air conditioner and the free minibar is very good. Very safe stay and the breakfast is realy good. Highly recommend this hotel.

Negresco Princess is a lovely hotel with very accommodating staff, always willing to help when needed. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is modern and boasts a large and comfortable lobby. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. It did lack space for us to open our luggage as there was only one rack. The only issue we saw was in the shower. The shower floors and walls were black tile and a black stone like basin which visually hides black mold. If you look closely or take a white towel to the corners and edges where the floor basin meets the walls, you will find a large amount of black mold. I don't blame housekeeping, because I know that management doesn't give them enough time to properly clean the shower each day. Other than this cost saving measure by management resulting in black mold, the hotel was wonderful.

The front desk staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was awesome. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, they ensured our every need was met. They provided us with early check-in, gave us welcoming tourist suggestions even mapping out directions to get there. They were so pleasant and helpful. The rooftop bar was a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The rooms were very comfortable and the free mini bar was appreciated. My only complaint is that the cleaner would knock on the room door and then instantly open the door to come in, not verifying that someone could be in the room. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay.

My partner and I chose this hotel for our 4 night break to Barcelona.
From the moment we checked in to when checked out everything was great we had an amazing time. The hotel organised a private transfer from the airport to the hotel (at extra cost) this was lovely the car was very clean and cool which is just what we needed. When we checked in the process was easy and went smooth. The room was very nice it could have been a bit cleaner there was lots of dust on the mirrors and the shower could have been cleaner but it wasnt bad at all. The free minibar was a nice touch and was restocked daily. In the hotel the rooftop terrace was great. Drinks were nice and the little pot of nuts they gave you were yummy. Staff were great here too. Breakfast was great too plenty of choice and always stocked up
Overall this hotel was fantastic the location was great too central to lots of things which meant we could walk to most places. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Only downside is alot of the rooms seem like they are courtyard view so not alot of sunlight in the room. But this didnt bother me and probably made the rooms quieter.

Our stay was good. It was in a great location and within walking distance to public transport. It was also in a quieter area of the city which was nice. The only thing was we didn’t sleep too well. There was a strange noise in our room which was constant especially in the morning. It sounded like someone above us showering or water falling but it was so loud, it would wake us up in the morning - around 6am.
We were also unable to open our window as it looked as though the handle was broken. When trying to change the temperature of the AC it would also revert back to a default setting of 22 degrees. While these things were annoying, we did have a good stay and the extras in our room such as mini bar, robe, slippers and tooth brushes were a surprise.

Four night stay

Our first trip to Barcelona and a Princess hotel. We would definitely stay here again as it had all of our comforts. The shower was good and very comfy beds.
The rooftop bar was excellent. If we needed anything such as extra milk or larger cups (the little ones are not suitable for tea) these were promptly seen to.
Our only gripe was that the hot breakfast foods were only like warm. We appreciate this is a worldwide thing in self service but it did seem cooler than elsewhere we have been. Apart from that and the corridor carpets needing to be cleaned and quite possibly replaced as the carpet at our door was lifting we were very pleased with our stay.

The staff was great! They were welcoming and attentive to my needs. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's very central to many of the attractions in Barcelona which made it walkable or a quick ride in cab or Uber. The rooftop bar and sauna are extra amenities to enjoy.

Conversely, there are some plumbing issues that arose. I attribute this to the age of the hotel. The hotel is beautiful aesthetically, clean and modern.

I would stay again.

Loved this hotel. Location was fabulous. Staff really nice on reception. Room was always reset everyday and the drinks in the mini bar is a lovely touch.
We had the hotel breakfast one morning was vast and delicious. There are so many great places to eat locally as well, we were spoiled for choice.
The rooftop pool and bar is excellent. Vibe is fun and chilled. Mix of age groups as well which is nice.
This was our first trip to Barcelona but it won't be out last and when we go back we'll be back here.

I liked how everything around the hotel was convenient to access. I didn’t like how it wasn’t wheel chair/stroller friendly. Rooms were nothing special nor the breakfast they provided, breakfast was a huge let down since they didn’t have many option. I was hoping better for the breakfast since it’s a charge on us. I will say the showers in the hotel were amazing, but over all i wouldn't recommend.

Check in was slow. We had reserved three rooms two were ready and one was not, however we were told that one room was available on a different floor to save us waiting. When we went into this room it was small with a huge pillar in the middle of the room, the shower was broken. We returned to reception and dealt with a very nice young man and was given a different room. One of the other rooms was a connecting room and the people in the room next door were making noise till after three in the morning. The rooms have basic amenities and are oddly shaped, some are extremely small and some are larger. It was raining one day and we asked if they had umbrellas only to be told by a rude man to go and buy one at the shop. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and have never had this attitude. The seats in reception are all stained and in need of a good clean.

This is not nearly a 4.5 star property. The room was not in good condition. The curtains were stained and the doors to the closet and minibar area were chipped. The bathroom lacked amenities such as shampoo, hair conditioner, body lotion, Q tips, box of tissues. There was a shaving razor kit that was left over perhaps from someone else’s stay. Large bottles of liquid soap was provided in the shower and sink area. There was not anything to write on or a pen/pencil to used to write with. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room which many hotels provide such as a Nespresso coffee maker. Although the room was small, there was plenty of hangers in the closet and a good amount of space to put away personal belongings. The complementary breakfast was ok for European standards. I did not venture out to the pool area or bar. The positive things were the location and the drinks that were provided in the complementary mini bar. The staff was pleasant and tried to be helpful. I appreciated having a taxi outside the door when leaving for the airport.

Hotel in great location and friendly staff. However, I am disappointed with the fact that when making the booking, nothing was stated about the rooftop pool and bar being under maintenance. This meant that the facilities were not available during the whole of our stay in which for my instance was the main selling point for my choice of hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at the Negresco Princess in Barcelona. The staff, especially Laura at the front desk, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Laura was incredibly helpful when we discovered our bed was two twins instead of a king. Despite the lifts being flooded, the staff remained attentive and kind and fixed it instantly.

The hotel's central location was a definite plus, and we were captivated by the stunning rooftop pool, complete with a bar and sauna. It provided a truly enjoyable experience. We highly recommend staying at this hotel. A special thanks to Laura for her exceptional hospitality and warm-hearted demeanor.

As for the rooms, they were spacious and well-appointed. We loved the fridge, which came with five complimentary drinks that were replenished daily. Nice rooftop hotel right in the centre

Great modern Hotel, nice modern bar area with live music in the evening, fantastic views from rooftop, but pool is very small, reception staff are very friendly and helpful, we had a standard room first which had no daylight we changed to a superior room afterwards but when shown it was a triple room which we didn’t like so we got another one than which we took it was grand but had a massive pillar in front of the window, that was disappointing as well, bathroom could have been cleaner, breakfast was kind of basic, no musli or porridge ..

Perfect location, walking distance From everything but still quiet.

Nice terrace! Pool is fun with awesome view but small. You should add sun beds, everyone just put a towel on the deck.

Cleanliness needs BIG improvement, also the room feels very dated and towels needed to be renewed a long time ago.

When I entered the room, there was no coffee maker. There were two cups of water and a free drink.

On the first day, the sink leaked and the floor was all wet. I tried to change the room, but it was impossible because it was full bookings. I asked to upgrade my room, but the hotel charged 30 euros per night. It was $15 difference in Expedia, but the hotel had to charge 30 euros per night.

I upgraded my room for 150 euros. But I found a bug in the room. I had to change rooms again. I didn't see Termite the room where I found the bug.
The housekeeper cleaned the room.

Every room is served with two bottles of water, one bottle of coke, one bottle of orange juice, and one bottle of beer every day. But I saw the housekeeper empty the trash can and put the drinks in the trash can.

Negresco Princess was a disappointing experience for me. I want to get a full rep but I don't know if Expedia agrees.
I hope Expedia will no longer mark this hotel with recommendations.

Above all, it is more disappointing that no one has apologized.
