Very friendly and helpful staff. Great rooms, very comfortable and clean. Brilliant location, so close to the beach and the view from our balconies was fab. The outdoor pools were closed (being November, understandable!) but we used the indoor pool. It's small but good. The breakfast buffet was good value and enjoyable.

It’s the small stuff that matters sometimes. Toilet paper was super thin and rough. Didn’t get any water bottles nightly, only upon check in. We had to buy our own. No tv channels worked. A big reason we booked the hotel because they offered parking. Upon arriving they said it was full but the parking lot was half empty. We had to find parking on the street nightly because it parking lot was “full”. To top things off the morning of check out there was no water. I had to go to reception to ask for bottles of water to brush our teeth.

The staff are wonderful, welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed my stay here although I wouldn't recommend using the steam sauna. It's outdated, has a moldy smell and the paint is peeling. The tiled area in the sauna area could use a refresh. Other than that the rooms were clean, updated and the beds were comfortable.

The El cid hotel is an excellent hotel, we have stayed twice now and have enjoyed the hotel.and facilities each time.The location to the beautiful beach and lots of restaurants and shops is second to none! The hotel rooms and facilities are in my opinion superb, the food is fantastic with lots of variety..I would highly recommend this hotel in the Playa de Palma area, also.only 10 mins drive to the airport, so.tranfers are minimal. Palma is a short 20 min drive away with all the things a lovely city has to offer!! Dont hesitate, , give this hotel serious consideration when looking, you will be glad you did.😎🏝🌞👌

Location was great and staff were fine. 2 stars because we stayed for 2days with a very weak to none existent WiFi in the room. The A/C control unit must be for show because the room stayed warm, never at all got cold or at least cooled down. Overall OK but I wouldn’t stay here again.

This is a nice hotel in a great location..
The food whilst there was a good selection of different foods it was always cold !! And I mean stone COLD ! The only time the selection of food on offer was Warm was at 7 pm immediately. The restaurant opened if you went to the restaurant after 7:15 pm the food was always stone cold…. The only way to get hot food was from the selection of food that the chef cooked for you…

Great hotel, the best we have had yet. No shuttle from the airport though.
We walked from the airport (40mn) but it was a bit squetchy in some parts. You can take the A2 bus almost directly to this hotel.
We had a room with partial sea view. It was an amazing view of the pool area and the sea.
This hotel has 2 pools, a private sauna and turkish bath (you can book in advance), tennis courts, etc.
They sent us a card for my wife's birthday and offered us 2 complementary drinks at the bar.
Excellent customer service, no complaint at all.
The dinner is 18 euros for an all you can eat buffet. It is ok, not extraordinary. We did it once and then went to explore the many great restaurants around the area.
We found that this hotel had the best beach, best access, etc.
We rented bikes and went around all the way to Palma centre, the cathedral, the market, etc. It was a perfect way to explore the area due to the many bike paths.

We enjoyed our stay and made the best of it. The hotel is in a great location, many food locations nearby, airport nearby, and the pools are great. Check in was great, we got in earlier so we had to wait till the rooms were ready. They held our bags and we went to explore and then sit at the pool. Rooms were nice. My main issues were AC was not strong enough. It was not blowing cold air and very uncomfortable to sleep in. Also, encountered some ants and bugs in the room and on bed. Honestly it doesn't bother me much but believe that is due to the humidity in the room since the AC was not ideal. Also, in order to get in the shower, we had to climb over the toilet. Not ideal. Lastly the bed sheets, mainly the blanket was not comfortable and very itchy. Between that and the humidity, sleeping was rough. Breakfast was nice but they start closing before 1030 so make sure you are early.

Overall, would I stay again? Yes, however, I may look for another hotel to see if there is a better one since it's very competitive out there.

Convenient. Staff friendly but won’t go out of their way (at least not for me) give you extra (I asked for water in my last night and was told to go the bar or the supermarket at 10p). And it was a “VIP” hotels.com hotel but never received the “complimentary bottle of wine.

THE HOTELROOM AND BALCONY. WE HAD THE ROOM SPRAYED TWICE BY SOMEOE FROM HOUSEKEEPING WHICH TH VERY INCOMPITENT DIREKTO DENIED HAPPEN ALTHOUH WE DESCRIBED THE LADY THAT CAME. HE WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPT THAT WE HAD HAD A PROBLEM . ACTUALLY ACCUSED US OF LYING. THERE WERE ANTS ALL ALON TWO WALLS IN THE ROOM AS WELL AS ON THE BALCONY. FOOD WAS VERY POOR AND TASTELESS IN THE HOTELL, SERVICE WAS AVERAGE. WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN

The hotel was fantastic. My room on 6th floor was very spacious, clean with wonderful views from the balcony. It’s 5mins from the airport. Very safe area with lots of restaurants nearby. A Spar is 5 feet from the front door for you to purchase drinks + food. The pools are incredible with plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast has plenty to offer as does dinner. Staff are incredibly friendly & always willing to help. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here & looking forward to going back.

EXCELLENT service and great location. Their staff and workers were the friendliest and most accommodating group that I have ever experienced at a hotel or resort. Room was updated and spacious and quiet. 2 pools and a beach that was just a stroll away. Make sure that you get the food package that was well worth the few extra bucks. They even provided a small breakfast for us before our early morning flight. 5 stars.

Great location, lovely pool and views from the fron of the hotel, the food was good at breakfast but just fine for dinner. The WIFI does NOT work AT ALL. The beds are very soft so not comfortable. The AC barely works in the room - I'd worry if we were here when it was hotter as it would be very difficult to sleep. This is not a 4 start hotel.

Aesthetically from the outside, the hotel has clearly seen better days but that goes for most hotels in this area. Inside it’s clean and of a good standard. We only had breakfast in the hotel and the variety and quality were both good, although you’re spoilt for choice locally with various great places to eat and drink.
Service was ok. On arrival, despite completing check-in online it was very disorganised; being asked to sign forms again, to present passports over and over, issues calculating the cost of the room etc. Took a while to get things sorted when we just wanted to get going. For the rest of our stay the experience at reception was better, and in the restaurant it was ok where the chef for the omelette was very friendly but the waiting staff weren’t so much but at the same time they weren’t rude.
Generally, rooms were well kitted out and we had the sea view which was lovely. Bathrooms clean and spacious. Plenty of storage although the safe was an old, key operated style security feature which was dated and we didn’t bother using it as the key wasn’t in the room.
Great location - less than 10 mins from Palma Airport, 15 mins to the old town centre but plenty to do in the local area and right on the beach. All-in-all, a decent value hotel.

Amazing sea view and with the balcony doors open could hear the ocean from the room. Rooms very clean. No hair conditioner or body lotion provided. Staff at front desk were very helpful. Great location for long walks along the promenade, plenty restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

This house hotel was lovely, especially because it was adults. Only a little did we know that the next hotel we would check into on Mallorca would be Family, friendly! The area around the hotel isn’t great, but there is an amazing pub across the street called Eight Winds - love this place it reminded me one of my favourite bars in Hawaii and the staff were just so kind and friendly and fun. The hotel staff were a professional and polite, the bartenders were great and the reception people were very helpful. Not to stereotype, but there were lots of rude older Germans everywhere, and we happen to be in a room beside two crotchety old grumps who were telling us we are being loud when we were not even close. The pool was very clean and definitely crispy cold and refreshing! The quality of the drinks were very great.

I LOVED this hotel! I would definitely stay again and recommend. Clean, lovely room amazing staff, I could go on. The only thing I would mention (not related to the hotel but people staying at it) is that there should be a sign in the rooms that states people should be respectable about loudness of tv volume - especially at night!

Wonderful location. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants and also just a minute walk to the beach. The only gripe I had was that the AC in my room wasn’t very strong. I had it on the coldest setting and it never really got below 74 degrees or so until the wee hours of the night. Might have just been my room and other rooms are fine though. Also, don’t come here expecting a young crowd. I’m 38, and I saw maybe 5-10 people around my age or younger in 3 nights of staying there. Most guests were well into their 60s or 70s

Stayed here twice, for 4-5nights and both experiences have been excellent. Airport is literally 10mins away, and from the location to the food to the beach view from the pool, you can not fault this hotel.

The area is nice and away from the busier El Arenal but only a 15-20min train ride away if you want that atmosphere

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the El Cid.
We were upgraded to a suite which was unexpected but a great surprise.
A very clean hotel with friendly staff especially on reception. The bar area lacked atmosphere and could really do with some background music playing.
We would love to stay again and would hope to be luckier next time with the weather!

Not sure if i would stay again.

I was going to initially review the hotel as excellent but there were a few things that narked me. Firstly, we booked a superior sea view but there was nothing \"superior\" about the room plus the only way to get a side sea view was to hang over the balcony. Secondly, there were no toiletries. For a 4 star, i would expect some but the only thing in the bathroom was a comb. Luckily i have hair but if i was bald i would feel insulted. The shop across the road sold toiletries but over 5 euros for a conditioner so we went without. The bed was really hard so much that i had to take painkillers before and after bedtime. One very thin silky sheet which felt meh too. There was aircon but as it was round the corner there was no direct air into the bedroom area.
Pool was lovely but cold and pool bar was shut. Restaurant manager and staff lovely and good choice of food.
Lastly was told no late check out despite rooms showing available on all hotel sites including their own and i was more than happy to pay full rate for a night even though we were leaving at 6pm.
