Lovely beach front stay.

Our stay at the Saulo was lovely from beginning to end. My mom and I were greeted by Davidson at the reception who took care of us and directed us to a lovely room with a beautiful ocean view. The room was clean and comfortable, we had all the necessary amenities. The view was amazing and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. I definitely recommend this hotel and the restaurant downstairs was also fantastic.

I cannot recommend enough this hotel enough. They had by far the best customer service of any of the hotels we stayed at during our 11-day trip to Europe. When we got there, they told us that they had upgraded our room from an interior room to a beachfront room for free!

Then when we told the front desk that we would be leaving very early in the morning and asked what would be the best way to get to the airport, they immediately scheduled a taxi for us and then told us they would leave to-go breakfast bags at the desk for us since we'd be leaving earlier than their breakfast hours. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view and the front desk was incredibly helpful. The beach was right outside our room and there was a gelato shop right next to the hotel. I'd love to go back to Mallorca and I definitely plan to stay at the Saulo Beach Hotel when I do!

Little gem of a hotel!

Super little hotel which we discovered about 6 years ago & have been back many times. Staff are just so helpful, cleanliness & service is superb! Less than 5 minutes by taxi from the airport & right on the beach front. Would not stay anywhere else! 👍

I dont know if the fault lies with Expedia or the hotel, but for the record this hotel does NOT have a car park, despite the Expedia page saying \"parking included\" and \"on site parking\". You have to park on one of the back streets behind the hotel, if youre lucky enough.

Lady on the check in desk was bery friendly, room was fairly standard, but fine for what we paid really. Wouldn’t want to spend more than a couple of nights though, but it suited our needs (except for the lack of car park).

Okay for a short last minute

The location is great, the view is top. The hotel itself is kinda low budget. Cleaners start to make noise at very early morning, walls are made out of \"paper\". Bathroom is worn. Breakfast was exactly the same all 5 mornings with very little variety. Stuff is kind and helpful, lobby looks up to date but rooms could use a face lift. Bed was soft and the mattrace must have been used since a long time as it had a hole made by the weight of houndreds of previous guests. All-in-all okay for this trip and price but no next time.

The booking was for a twin room, not a TWIN BED.
YES you are reading it right, the hotel just gave us a single bed, not a double bed, not a king size bed a single bed!!!

I havent been sleeping with someone that close since my years in university lol

Friendly staff but I paid for a twin room for two people (I even double checked my reservation). Not worth the money at all

Even though the room was small, it was comfortable to our liking. The price was great with the view of the whole beach. Free breakfast was great and they cleaned the room daily. We also arrived early and were able to get in the room within 2 hours and they safe guard your bags, so you can go to the beach or sight see while waiting for the room. Overall experience was great for the price.

Perfect location and great value for money

Stayed for 17 nights. Perfect location! Beach and sunset views top notch. Everything you need is a walk away. Quiet little spot away from the more rowdy areas further East. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Italian restaurant is excellent- pizzas are very Italian authentic. Restaurants nearby are numerous and great value. Bus to airport is 5 Euro, bus to Palma only 2 Euro. Bottles of nice wine from Supermarkets nearby from 4 Euro.
Only negatives are that a room modernization is needed and the manager told us this is planned soon. Other points to note are that Covid mask wearing was unfortunately not 100% followed by guests and staff alike and no-one was enforcing it. Some guests had no mask at all in the breakfast buffet and many staff also only covered their mouth and don't cover their nose. Noise does tend to travel through the hotel at night - inner corridor, aircon units drilled holes in wall and bathroom ventilation holes.
Other than those points this hotel is excellent value and we definitely recommend it..

Great little hotel

Staff so helpful and friendly. Had to change rooms as originally given a double rather than a twin beds but done without any hassle and didn’t interrupt our day. Beautiful view from the front of the hotel. Enjoyed happy hour cocktails and although we only ate snacks here the meals did look good. Breakfasts were good but could be a little hotter, (temperature didn’t change whatever time went down) coffee very good. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay here again if going back to Majorca.

Smallish room but clean and pleasant. Good location directly on promenade with sea views and nice beach for swimming. Breakfast ok. 10 mins from airport, perfect for post arrival/pre departure. Several restaurants close by for choice of evening meal. Easy bus ride into Palma. We enjoyed our 2 night stay

Handy for a stopover near the airport.

Handy for a stopover very close to the Airport. Fronts onto the pedestrianised seafront and you need to trust Google Maps to locate it. Appears at first sight to be a restaurant's frontage, Som Saulo is only in small letters at eye level, you have to look up to see it up in big white lights at high level.

We returned yesterday from a four night stay. The Hotel is directly opposite a beautiful well kept beach were the sea is clear and warm enough to swim in.
The hotel, room and staff are very good and the hitel is very near local cafes, shops and bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There are buses to Palma found a short walk away behind the hotel.
The whole atmosphere is relaxed as the hotel is situated on a promenade where vehicles are restricted.

We found blonde hair on the side of the bath in room 206 .We didn't complain about it though because the good hospitality and food made up for that.The beach was 25ft away from the hotel which was a plus. Good music from the hotel and the staff were friendly. Aircon was nice and cold .I would recommend the hotel to others

Noisy and smelly

The room smelt like my Grandmas house (not a good thing - stale and like a dog has been in there) and the walls are paper thin. I could hear people talking in the rooms two doors down, the TV next door and suitcases being dragged down the corridor and barely slept. The vent in my bathroom led into the vent in the neighbouring bathroom so I could everything in their bathroom - gross and loud! It's a good location and fab breakfast and staff but would never stay here again.

The hotel was lovely, we had a \" panoramic \" room which had a large balcony. It looked straight at the beach & was great to sit out & watch the wind surfers. The breakfast was adequate, usual offering of fruit / meats/ cereal & a few cooked bits . The downside were the staff. We arrived early & no one was at reception. We waited .... and waited . All the other guests were German & completely ignored us . Eventually a British couple came along & told us there was no point waiting as they had done the same when they arrived & no staff came till 11 am!!! . So we had to leave the case & go for a wander for 2 hours . When we came back at 11 the male ? Receptionist? Was very rude & said \" your early \" ! . A young girl then came who sorted us out ok . We had a meal there one night & waiting staff then were very indifferent towards us . We definitely felt that if you weren't German then you weren't welcome

cant really fault this hotel. yes the bed was squeeky at times, and with two people the two single beds together struggled, but overall i cant fault it, price point was good. location is superb. breakfast was adequate; i didnt even realise was one included, but sitting by the beach eating breakfast was awesome.
and sitting on balcony facing the ocean and beach watching people go past was very relaxing.

Hotel Rodes is situated close to the airport and there are lots of flights in and out of Palma Airport, however the noise levels are not bothersome at all. The hotel itself is right on a beautiful beach, which is clean and the sea is pretty calm most of the time. Back to the hotel itself, we had a courtyard view which is not attractive in any way, I would definitely recommend upgrading to a seaview. The room was very clean with plenty of storage. Twin beds, one of which had squeaky springs! The walls are paper thin and you can hear conversations, however we were lucky to only have one adjoining room. Buffet breakfast was served between 8am-10am and there was plenty of choice to suit all appetites. Overall a great hotel, close to airport and the beach.

One Week Stay in Beachfront International Hotel

A relaxing one week recharge in Springtime. This international hotel is just 10 minutes by taxi from Palma Airport but right on the beachfront just outside C'an Pastilla on the Playa de Palma. Also only 30 minutes on the no.15 bus to Palma city and some great sightseeing. There are 15 beach bars along the beachfront and this hotel is adjacent to the B15 cafe bar. A very popular location for cyclists due to the 5km long and flat promenade with restricted vehicle use, although a taxi can collect you from the door. We'd definitely recommend the Rodes hotel for a relaxing sunny holiday and the staff were always helpful; reception, restaurant, bar and maids, etc. A good value restful stay with breakfast included. Rodes is Swiss owned. SB

I found the hotel to be ok. Had a room booked for four singles (I don't know why I selected that) and the front desk offered an ocean view for same price which I thought was acceptable. Beautiful view and nice sized room. Beds were a little firm for my taste but I survived. Had a little difficulty checking in they were saying I needed a PIN number for a credit card. I advised there was none and their machine was saying I had to have one. Luckily she went into office and used another that worked just fine without one. Free breakfast and the food was excellent for a free breakfast. Hotel is within walking distance to major bus routes into the city and airport. To City is 1.50Euro, airport 3Euro. Would stay again!

Great location, value

I enjoyed staying here and would recommend it. I paid a little extra for a sea-front view (and balcony), which gave me a view of the beach right out front -- and was worth it, considering the prices are very competitive. The place is clean, with friendly service, and a great breakfast. It was quiet. The (free) wifi didn't work in my room but in the lobby it was fine. The hotel has a perfectly good restaurant.

The airport is very close (take the 21 bus to the first stop, I think, otherwise the taxi wasn't cheap because of the minimum charge). And Palma is about 15 minutes away via bus 25.

Great Hotel - Mega Comfy Beds

We stayed at the Hotel Rodes fro 3 nights 10-13 Sept. Location is superb....right on the beach. The hotel is German owned and run. It's basic but spotless and the staff could not be more friednly and helpful. The beds are really comfy. The aircon is fantastic. Bathroom is small but really clean and showers are really powerful. I guess the only thing that would be good in the rooms would be a small fridge but that's being really picky! Breakfast is more than adequate - continental selection but also has fried ham/bacon and eggs. The hotel restaurant is excellent. Bit pricier than other places but you get what you pay for.....the meat cooked on the bbq is superb. Would highly recommend it. We will definitely be going back there.

Other than having very noisy neighbours, the stay was perfect! The hotel is facing the beach. Lots of nearby souvenir shops with very cheap but nice magnets for €1. There's KFC and Burger King within 5 mins walk from the hotel. There's other fancy restaurants and bars along the beach. Hotel service was very good except housekeeping didn't pay attention to my 'do not disturb' sign hanging on the door handle outside my room and came barging through the doors.

The hotel was in a great location and was reasonably priced. I stayed for 3 nights and had a room for my wife and I and then one for our kids. They only cleaned our kids room every other day and they kept shorting us on towels. The room came with breakfast which was adequate, but was frequently missing food. Another guest and his wife got into an argument with the people there because they were not putting out any more food and it was still supposed to be open for another 15 minutes.

The reception was polite and friendly. We felt very welcome. We did not sleep though. The hotel has very thin walls and the noice from the street and other guests are very clear - and all through the night. Unfortunately. It’s a shame because the location is nice.

Die Lage ist ideal für Spaziergänge am Meer, für Surfer, zum Schwimmen, ideale Busverbindungen nach Palma. Ich kenne den Irt und habe ihn dazu bewusst gewählt.
Das Hotel ist jedoch ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt nicht mehr die gute Küche wie vor 6 Jahren, keine warmen Decken mehr für die Nacht, die Toiletten wurden unzureichend gereinigt, im Restaurant eher unfreundliche Bedienung. Aber in den Lokalen am Irt sind immer noch einige sehr gute dabei.

Kurzurlaub mit Halbpension. Das Hotel trägt 3 Sterne zu Recht. Das Zimmer (Deluxe-Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick) ist einfach eingerichtet, mit separater Toilette und Dusche. Das Zimmer wird täglich gereinigt. Schränke sind zum Aufbewahren der Kleidung genügend vorhanden. Das Highlight ist die Terrasse des Zimmers im obersten Stock! Man sitzt quasi gefühlt am Strand, der Ausblick ist wunderschön! Hier kann man/frau z.B. den Abend bei einem Glas Wein ruhig ausklingen lassen. Dies hebt meine Wertung auf das Maximale. Das Personal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist ausreichend, aber nichts besonderes. Das angebotene Abendessen wird im dazu gehörigen Restaurant “Il forno via mare” à la carte eingenommen, d.h. es gibt die volle Auswahl an italienischen Speisen, mit Vorspeise und Dessert. Getränke müssen bezahlt werden, sind aber nicht teuer, die Auswahl an Weinen bietet auch mallorquinische Weine, auch Sangria ist als leichter Begleiter erschwinglich. Viel Essen für den Aufpreis der Halbpension. Der nahe gelegene Flughafen ist kaum zu vernehmen und stört den Schlaf überhaupt nicht. Bushaltestellen nach Palma sind innerhalb von 4 Minuten erreichbar, gut für Ausflüge.
Insgesamt eine erfreuliche Erfahrung.

Los empleados amables, pero echarte la siesta imposible, se ponen en las escaleras de metal que dan a la habitación a hablar y se escuchaba cómo subían y bajaban y golpes. La limpieza normal. El plato de ducha al ducharte se salía todo el agua por mucho que fueras con cuidado. La media pensión: el desayuno de baja calidad y la cena muy repetitiva. La ubicación muy bien pero sinceramente no repetiría.

Som Saulo som hotellet hed for år tilbage, hedder nu Saulo Beach hotel. Det er så også det eneste der er fornyet på hotellet.
Fik værelse med skimmelsvamp, fik et andet værelse efter 2 dage.
Der er ingen køleskab på værelset, men vi fik dog et som kompensation for det med skimmelsvampen (en nødvendighed i 32 graders varme )
Væggene er papirstynde og alt kan høres.
Det bedste man kan sige om hotellet er beliggenheden og det fantastiske personale.
Can Pastilla er et dejligt område og vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage, men det bliver et andet hotel

Geweldig uitzicht op zee vanaf 5e verdieping. Uitstekend Italiaans restaurant en zeer klantvriendelijk. Als je niet van Italiaans eten houdt, moet je niet halfpension of all inclusive boeken.

The hotel is on the beach, close to some restaurants. It was ok for a one night stay: the room was small, with 2 windows looking at the emergency exit and at another room. The bed was old and making noise at every little movement. Breakfast was ok.

Fantastisk beliggenhed lige ned til stranden. Skøn italiensk restaurant i bunden af hotellet med gode pizzaer. Personalet var imødekommende og servicemindede. God morgenmadsbuffet. Rolig beliggenhed med fokus på vandet - tæt på den lokale surferskole, hvorfor der var god aktivitet på vandet for kite, surf og SUP. Værelserne havde desværre ikke køleskab - billeder på hotels.com var ikke retvisende.

Herrliche Lage, schönes Zimmer, Terasse mit Liegestühlen, tolle Küche. Das Personal sehr unterschiedlich betreffend Professionalität und Freundlichkeit.... , schade. Die schwedische Receptionistin war eigentlich die einzige Perle. Zimmer wurden erst spät am Nachmittag gemacht.....

Small room with nice see view and good breakfast

We had the most expensive room on the highest floor. The sea view from the terrace is fantastic. The terrace itself and the outdoor furniture was not really clean, the room is very small. One can hear the neighbors very well. The buffet breakfast is good in a restaurant with sea view 😊. The personal friendly.

Wir haben 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht, und das werden wir nie wieder tun. wir hoffen, dass wir damit andere Urlauber von schlechten Erfahrungen auf dieser schönen Inseln abhalten können. Das Personal an der Rezeption war freundlich, jedoch die Service Mitarbeiter sehr unfreundlich und aufdringlich. Das komplette Hotel ist von 24 uhr - 8 Uhr morgens nicht besetzt, so muss man sich bei Notfällen an eine Service Nummer melden, die nur englisch spricht. Frühstück war ok aber kaum Auswahl, Mittaggessen ist sehr zu empfehlen vor allem die Pizza. Standardzimmer sind eine reine Katastrophe, Bett knarrt sehr laut, Duschabfluss so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Nach Zimmer wechsel ein noch schlimmeres Zimmer bekommen. Zimmer glich einer Abstellkammer.

La ubicación excelente el Hotel renovado y muy bien en muy buenas condiciones el desayuno bastante bueno y la calidad precio muy buena el personal muy amable la limpieza es lo que era un poquito menos de lo que debería ser un restaurante estupendo que hay en la planta baja con grandes productos auténticos italianos en su carta recién hecha y con un horno de piedra las pizzas Son excelentes la cama bastante cómoda el defecto que le encontré es que cuando te vas al apagar la luz no puedes dejar enchufado el móvil ya que no puede cargarse deberían hacérselo mirar por el resto todo muy bien

Super udsigt til lækker strand. Anbefaler at vælge værelse med havudsigt.

Ohne Zweifel das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich in meinem ganzen Leben übernachtet habe. Angefangen beim Einchecken, verwirrend mit 2 Rezeptionisten, die 40min brauchten, um meinen Zimmerschlüssel freizugeben!!!!
Das Hotel akzeptiert Hunde und so habe ich in diesem Hotel gebucht; der Reservierungsabteilung mitgeteilt, dass ich meinen Hund nach der Bestätigung mitnehmen würde. Zu meiner Überraschung sagte eine der Rezeptionistinnen in der Ausbildung, dass sie auf meine E-Mail zur Bestätigung des Hundes gewartet hat; sie verwechselte mich mit einem anderen Gast, der nicht auf die E-Mail reagiert hatte; ein totales Chaos!!! Ich kam an einem heißen Tag an, mein Hund war ohne Wasser und wir mussten noch 40min warten, um auf das Zimmer zu gehen!
Als ob das noch nicht genug wäre, verlangte das Hotel von mir, dass ich den gesamten Aufenthalt sofort bar bezahle und eine Kreditkarte als Pfand hinterlege; die Zimmer bieten keine Minibar, wenn man eine haben will, muss man sie für eine Tagesgebühr von Euro 35 mieten! Dasselbe gilt für den Safe im Zimmer, den man für eine Tagesgebühr von Euro 10 mieten muss!
Der Alptraum hatte noch nicht begonnen! Als wir im Zimmer ankamen, war der Boden komplett dreckig mit Strandsand überall, Badezimmer mit einem Käfer, der wie ein Wurm aussah und das Zimmer super alt! Die Klimaanlage war verrostet...
Als wir uns bei der Rezeptionistin, die eingecheckt hatte, beschwerten, ging sie zur Kontrolle ins Zimmer und bot an, es zu reinigen. Als sie zurückkam,

Sehr gut.

Wunderschöner Ausblick vom Balkon (unser Zimmer war mit Meerblick).
Der Strand direkt am Hotel.
Das Frühstück war gut (aber früher, als das Hotel Rodes hieß, war noch besser :) ) .
Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut.

Einmal war leider nur ein technisches Problem mit Wasser (es gab kein Wasser ca. 2 Stunden am Morgen).
