I was not impressed with my stay at this hotel. As a single traveller, I specifically chose a hotel for the added security and convenience — not an apartment. However, when I checked in, I was told that all single occupancy guests were placed in an apartment block across the road from the main hotel, which was not staffed.

This completely defeated the purpose of booking a hotel for safety reasons. I had to cross the road every time I wanted to go for breakfast or use the swimming pool, which made me feel vulnerable and uncomfortable, especially when returning later in the evening.

I did ask the receptionist if I could have a room in the main hotel but was told this wasn’t possible. To make things worse, check-in was very slow, adding to an already disappointing start.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for solo travellers — it doesn’t provide the security or service you would expect when booking a hotel stay

Perfect stayover near airport

We stayed here one night after a long travel day from the US. The location was perfect - close the airport, but also near the water and some great options for dinner. The staff were friendly, room and bed were comfortable, and included breakfast was AMAZING. Would happily stay here again when returning to Palma.

Location was lovely, very close to the airport and only a 10 minute taxi ride from Palma city. Lovely beach and restaurants close by with lots of options. The drinks at the hotel were very reasonable too. However as a couple sharing a room I would’ve expected a double bed rather than two single beds pushed together, they kept moving apart. Most staff were generally friendly but some staff were miserable looking wouldn’t smile at you when you smiled and said hello to them and I asked for help putting the umbrella up outside (I was too short to reach), the lady at reception desk replied and pointed to the end of the bar and told me to ask another lady who was in the kitchen to help me, I’m not shouting into a kitchen at staff to get help, as receptionist you should be doing your job and finding the appropriate staff.

Great for mini break

Ideal location for a few days away. 10 mins from the airport, a 4 minute walk to the beach. Huge selection of restaurants, bars and shops just as close.
The hotel was spotlessly clean at all times. The room was cosy but well equipped and the beds very comfortable.
As a room only guest, tea and coffee facilities would have been welcome in the room.
All the staff that we dealt with were brilliant. So kind, helpful and on hand to help with queries/organising taxis etc.
I hope to return!

Fantastic hotel in a quiet location

Fantastic long weekend trip to Palma to see my niece and we stayed in this lovely hotel. The welcome was friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Any questions we had were always answered. Taxis were requested for us. Table bar service by the pool. Room was spotless and air con very welcome. We will definitely stay here again!!

The hotel was very clean, it was very close to a beach perfect for young couples, however there was a problem with staff, they weren't disrespectful however it was very slow to check in, i think having more than one reception desk would be more beneficial, other than that the stay was relaxing and our checkout went smoothly

Lovely clean hotel with helpful friendly staff. Our room was spotless. Beach is just at the end of the road. We hired the bikes for the day which was great and were able to pay for a late checkout. Could do with more sunbeds (and not let people reserve them!) and our room was quite small but would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the hotel where not helpful at all they always seemed to want to rush any conversation you would try to have with them there was no kettle or cups tea bags coffee ect in the hotel room which I found bizarre as I’ve always had these things every time I had went to any hotel you had to pay for even a cup of tea they only thing u got for free was some nuts! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as staff are unhelpful and can be quiet rude wouldn’t go back there

Hotel was clean and stuff very friendly and accommodating. It was quite even though very close to the airport. Our booking included breakfast which was amazing. Hotel also have small and clean gym which was unexpected bonus and we ended up using it two times. Area around is also nice but a bit busy with cars parked all around. The parking situation is the only negative but that is not specific to this hotel so I did not take mark on this. You have to park on the street and sometimes in the evenings we had to go couple of rounds around the area to find spot. I can just imaging how bad this can be in the summer. On the positive side location was good for exploring the whole island via daily trips so little paring headache was not deal breaker.

We had a lovely stay at BQ Amfora. The hotel is on a quiet street, a very short walk from the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We were placed in room 419 which was lovely and quiet. The room was on the smaller side, though well proportioned for two people. We did not feel cramped. We enjoyed the balcony which, again, was just the right size for us. The beds were comfortable and we loved the air conditioning unit, which was not noisy. The mini fridge was a welcome surprise in the room. The shower was excellent. We enjoyed use of the sun loungers and snack bar, which had very tasty food and cocktails! The luggage storage room was very helpful for us due to having a later flight. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to return.

The room is small and simple. Pool area looks nice and the hotel is very close to the beach. There was no coffee machine in the room and the hotel bar/restaurant did not open until 11 am to be able to get a coffee, so that was inconvenient (especially when you're used to having a coffee the moment you wake up!). The fridge in the room also didn't work, so our food spoiled. When we talked to the front desk about this, we got into a bit of an argument--they told us it was not a fridge, but rather a conserver (even though it has a temperature dial in it, and definitely did not conserve the temperature of the food or drinks we placed in there). The room was clean but very small and there was no counter or storage space for toiletries in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable, and although you can hear planes flying over due to the proximity of the airport, the area is otherwise very quiet. I personally wouldn't recommend this hotel for a longer stay but it is fine for a short one.

The grocery store was about 75 meters. Fresh bread every day. Had a frig so i can buy and store drinks or what ever. The 2 beaches were 100 meters the other way. Places to eat. The bus station was 100 meters away. 2 € to go to the cathedral or the train to Soller, a must. The staff was excellent. AAAAA

Lovely decorated hotel. Staff are very helpful & friendly. The rooms seem small but not a problem..after all you only need a bed and shower for the night..the bathroom is new & modern with toiletries supplied. Also included in your stay is aircon & wifi..& comfortable beds..The breakfast is well worth it..thes everything you could think of...even freshly made pancakes..omelettes & fried eggs cooked while you wait..also help yourself to champage !! This hotel is a little gem so get booking !

The staff were professional and courteous. As stated in another review, the pool area is in shade until mid afternoon but this was actually a bonus in the heat. Would stay again.

Great hotel - extremely clean, very nice staff and amenities. It's close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. We loved tge young lady who played the violin by the pool - what a treat! Exceeded my expectations!!! Would definitely rebook this hotel. The room was tiny but we expected that from other reviews and didn’t spend any time in there besides sleeping so didn’t mind it at all. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel is a couple mins walk away from many restaurants and beach. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. Only negative is you have to pay to use the safe in the room. Really great trip :)

The hotel is in a great location, with Palma a 15-20 minute bus ride away and Palma Aquarium in walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the quality of the food is great. The only thing that is a bit misleading is the fact that the air conditioning is not turned on in the rooms until 1st May. We were able to borrow a fan from reception, as the rooms can still get very warm when it is 20+ degrees outside. I would definitely stay here again if I was staying in this part of the island.

We stayed 4 nights as a Base to explore Mallorca and Palma.
The hotel is in a good location and this is a nice small resort with lots of bars and restaurants.
The room we had was located in a separate block over the road from the main hotel which was OK but half the the rooms in this block face the road which although it's a quiet street if you are on the ground floor your balcony is at Street level. The rooms are very very small but are clean and have everything you need.
Breakfast at the hotel is very good with lots of choices and an egg station also a choice of fresh smoothies or sparkling wine.
We also ate a few mealso in the hotel bar area which was good food and good value. The drinks in the hotel bar are also cheaper than anywhere else in the resort
The bus stop is 3 minutes away and the bus to Palma takes 20 minutes. You can walk/ cycle into Palma along the waterfront it is also a lovely walk along the prom it's about 5 miles with lots of bars and cafes to stop on the way.

Just had 8 nights at The BQ Amfora. The hotel is very clean and tidy, the rooms however are quite small. There is a small hanging space and only two very small drawers. There are two very deep shelves for your folded clothes though.We kept some of our bits inside the suitcase for ease. The expression I would use is compact & bijou.
The bedroom is only separated from the bathroom with a frosted glass wall, with a sliding door. It has a very large mirror on the outside of the door to do your makeup as there is very little space inside for two. Now this is ok if you are a couple, but for friends it is a little uncomfortable when popping to the loo.
There is very little space in the bathroom for toiletries, no shelf over the sink or anywhere to put your bits and pieces. We used the small desk in the room to keep everything. They do supply shower gel and shampoo which is a lovely touch and is replaced daily. as are the towels. They do supply a toothbrush but the toothpaste will not last more than a day, still a nice touch though.
They provide towels for use around the pool and you can take them to the beach. You can change them every other day. The one thing you need to know is that there is NO sun on the pool until afternoon. This made the pool rather cold and therefore sadly we never spent much time there.
Breakfast is excellent. Lots of choice. An egg station for freshly cooked eggs, omelettes or pancakes. A choice of cereals, fruit, cooked meats and cheeses or a full english

Lovely hotel for a quick get away

A lovely hotel located a few minutes walk from the beach at Playa de Mallorca. We were greeted with a friendly welcome & checked in efficiently. Our room was clean & comfortable although as other reviews suggest a little on the small size. But we were not there to stay in our room & found it to be fine as our basefor a few days. Nice pool & jacuzzi with sunbeds. Food & drink reasonable & lots of choice at breakfast. Staff were all pleasant.

Brilliant hotel set in a good position in Can Pastilla, only about 10 mins from the airport & not far to the beach, bars & restaurants situated down a side road.
The staff are very friendly & carn't do enough for you. The rooms are very nice, modern & lovely decor, also toiletries are provided & a hairdryer & lovely big towels. Free wifi & aircon. There is also a fridge & a safe.
The breakfast is fabulous, hot & cold food, freshly cooked omelettes & pancakes, different type of breads & pastries, also fancy a Free glass of champagne! The hotel offers snacks & bar meals throughout the day & evening. This hotel is a 4* Adults only. We will always stay here when we visit Majorca. We stayed 4 nights just on a short break. You can get the 21 bus to & from the airport, it's €5 one way or €15 in a taxi, the buses are quite often also the bus to Palma. I highly recomend this hotel 👍

Great staff and good location\n

Spent 2nights here and overall were really pleased. Good location and friendly staff and very clean but there were a couple of niggles. Rooms very small and best suited to short stays as very little storage space - people were storing their folding luggage support on the balconies as not enough room to put them up!! Also as a diabetic I found it very difficult to find anything that wasn't sugar laden at breakfast - there were no sugar free jams or marmalade and lots of high sugar pastries etc. so breakfast was not as filling as I had hoped.
We would stay there again but only for 2 or max 3 nights.

The hotel was very good. Very close to the beach. 10/10 for cleanliness. The rooms are very small, not even a 1 ft gap between end of the bed and the wall, which housed the tv. The bathroom was top speck but you had to dislocate your arm to reach the paper, little too compact.
