The staff was friendly. We found the ground floor concierge to be very helpful and friendly so stars for that.
If you're looking to stay in Wan Chai, this is a good location close to many local dining spots.
Negatives are the room layout and the lack of sound proofing. We found the toilet to be too small and the entire restroom area uncomfortable to navigate. Combine this with the hotel's attempt to keep the room open concept and poor sound-proofing made it uncomfortable. As you walk through the halls, you can clearly hear water being flushed through the walls. We had a solid experience but will probably stay elsewhere next time.

Overall a really pleasant stay, most of the staff were welcoming. A great location in Wan Chai, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The room amenities (e.g. hair dryer, tea options etc) could be improved. The chair by the desk had no back support so if you’re working it was not suitable. I was impressed with the soundproofing of the rooms as a light sleeper! Would stay here again.

Well equipped quiet room with a comfortable bed. I asked for a firmer pillow and one was provided very quickly. Great shower but a very small toilet! The best thing about the Hari was the service -- from check in, to dining and guest services. We had a connecting king corner room and twin for us and two adult children. King was great, but twin room was small -- and given transparent bathrooms, not suitable for sharing adults. No view. Also immediate street location is somewhat industrial, but close enough to the Boardwalk. Would definitely recommend for service, price, cleanliness, and decent location.

The Wan Chai area is safe and relatively quiet with excellent access to MTR trains buses and Ding Trams

My friend and I were excited to stay at this 5-star hotel after reading so many good reviews, but our experience was extremely disappointing. We arrived at 12pm, were welcomed by the concierge, and were assured more than once that our room would be ready by 3pm with our bags sent up. I even highlighted that we had a 4pm meeting and was told that they would contact me if the room became available earlier. They confirmed that the had my number.

When we returned at 3.15pm, the room was still not ready, and there was no message informing us of any delay. The staff asked us to wait in the lobby with no indication of timing, and our bags were still sitting downstairs. After we voiced our frustration, a room was suddenly ready within seconds. The staff were whispering in front of us, which was quite unprofessional. Our bags took a while to arrive and we were nearly late for our meeting.

Across our 2-night stay, there was no service recovery, no apology, and no acknowledgement. It felt as if we weren't important maybe simply because we book the most basic room? We asked to speak to the manager at checkout, but she was away. She only approached us when we were waiting for our Uber to the airport. Far too late.

It is no doubt a beautiful hotel but the service is really far from 5-star standards.

Great stay just avoid busy hours

Concierge and room attendant were patient and impeccable. Perhaps it’s the check in and check out hours, front of house/counter team were extremely irritable, did not seem like they wanted to entertain any questions. So to minimise your contact with them, just pay online, drop the deposit online too. If only they’d allow me to check out online.

Otherwise, king bed was perfect, provided pillows with different thickness/softness, bonus if you care, the gym was amazing too.

The Hari Hong Kong deserves excellent ratings. Their staff provided friendly, professional service from the greetings when we first arrived to when we left 13 days later. The entire stay was a good experience. The amenities in the hotel rooms from well-serviced AC, filtered glass bottled waters, to clean marbled showers, etc. were welcomed after long days sightseeing around Hong Kong and day trips into China. The library reception setting allowed for both business and traveler conversations or moments to relax with a cup of tea. It was an enjoyable stay.

Such a fabulous hotel. Beautifully designed and in a great location for for Wan Chai Ferry and walks along the harbour. Plenty of excellent local restaurants in the vicinity too. Breakfast in all honesty were fairly good value and the quality of all the food on offer was exceptional.
The staff just couldn’t help enough all along with being polite and courteous constantly.

My favourite hotel for budget stay in Hong Kong, although its not in the best location unless you want to stay on HK island due to Ubers and Taxis being ridiculously priced compared to next door China, this hotel is amazing! Rooms are quiet small but the hotel itself is luxurious and newer compared to most places in HK, I will be choosing the stay here from now on during my stays in Hong Kong, close to central, LKF and wan chai :)

Comfortable and good location

The Hari is a luxurious hotel - but laid back and no ostentation. The staff are all friendly and approachable. They are well informed about the hotel so you don't ever have to wait for someone else to answer your questions.

The rooms are very comfortable even if maybe a little in the small side I'd you are a couple in a king sized room. But typically you wouldn't want to spend all your time in the room anyway.

The lounge is really comfortable and you can order food in there all day. The restaurant has an Italian menu. But the breakfast is a more general menu and worth the price.

The location is great and you can walk to the MTR, trams or just walk over to Causeway bay etc. There are convenience stores and pharmacies practically on your doorstep. And you aren't far from local restaurants either. It's really convenient.

The Italian restaurant on-site is excellent and the breakfast service in the morning is very good. The location of the hotel is convenient, with trams, metro and a ferry pier close by, plus lots of restaurants in the neighborhood.
