Nice weekend

Location is the best, a little bit away from the center with a nice promenade to it.
The rooms are rather small, good balcony (with plastic chairs unfortunately).
Very good breakfast and kind staff.
Valet parking expensive.

Perfect Maritimo Once Again 👌

My wife and I stayed at the Maritimo in 2016 and loved it. We had always wanted to return but unfortunately only I able to enjoy it this time as my wife was visiting family in Germany. The hotel remains one of my all time favourite hotels and I have plenty to compare it to. Beautiful spotlessly clean room, nice staff and great food. I never eat anywhere else as it's just so good, reasonably priced and a beautiful terrace beside the beach. If you're going to Makarska it's a must!

Must visit.

Second visit to this Hotel. Hotel Maritimo is set in a lovely part of Makarska on the costal promenade. As soon as you arrive you get the feeling of how friendly this hotel is, the Reception staff are welcoming, efficient and helpful. The rooms are comfy and extremely clean. Breakfast is served as a continental buffet, with the option of having eggs cooked for you any way you like. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. Small Hotel with an extremely big heart. As you might imagin, we recommend this Hotel.

From the moment we walked into the hotel the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is on the beachfront and we had spectacular views. The beds were very comfy. We had a very nice breakfast with plenty of choice.

Great hotel stay!

Very clean hotel, we enjoyed our stay! Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Great location right on the strip. Only complaint--they didn't have enough parking for us in their garage so we had to park at the hotel next door which was just a short walk.

Hotel one of the best 'overall' the area can offer

The main desk staff were excellent, as were the cleaners, the mail waiters / bar staff much less so, consequently chose to use other local restaurants. No real issues with this small family run hotel but by European standards would have expected a lot more for the price (at least free car parking and or deck chair). Found the local area overcrowded and over priced. For value for money there are much better European / international destinations.

What a lovely experience it is to stay at hotel Maritimo. The staff is extremely friendly, the hotel rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is absolutely perfect. Beautiful hotel that makes for an amazing stay! Highly recommend this hotel when visiting Makarska.

Clean helpful staff

Extremely clean, very helpful staff. Unfortunately I thought this hotel was at the end of promenade not in the middle. My mistake, commercial - I prefer quieter lives location. However nice hotel. We had a car - parking avaiable if you give notice. We were able to explore a wonderful country, that we would visit again.

Lovely place and friendly staff

We really enjoyed this hotel and the area, probably our favourite area on our travels in Croatia. We had a large suite over looking the mountains. Thankfully the room had heating as we was very cold (but sunny) on our visit. We booked half board and the food was hot and very good. Huge portions. The staff are so friendly!

Fantastic holiday

Perfect accommodation for our needs. We had a room on the first floor which looked on to the beach and small harbour. Although over restaurant, wasn't noisy. The girls on reception were extremely helpful and friendly and by the end of the week were using our first names. The room/ bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was basic, perhaps with it being a small hotel but the evening meal we had there very good. Short walk to restaurants and bars and then a bit further to centre and main harbour.
We had a fantastic holiday there, the receptionists full marks.

Great value.

This was probably the cheapest hotel among the 8 we stopped at, so it was easily among the best values. Every basic was provided and functional, the staff were exceptional, the location was right on the beach, and the room was spotless. Tall trees prevented the view from being great and the parking situation was tight by North American standards, but these were my only very minor quibbles. There was much to see/do/eat nearby, and the hotel breakfast was fairly good. We plan to return someday.

One night stay; travelling from Split-Dubrovnik

We found the hotel very easily and were welcomed by a very helpful receptionist. She arranged for a reserved space in the hotel carpark (at a small fee) and confirmed when our room would be available. We were upgraded, free of charge, to a sea facing room.

She also give us a map and an overview of the town indicating where we could walk and the hotel facilities.

Very clean and well presented room with room safe and chairs for the balcony.

The hotel proved towels and beach mat for a nominal fee and as the beach was across only a narrow pedestrian walkway it was very easy to access. .

Only concern was the quality of the food. There was a choice of 4 menus but the only difference was the main course. All of the menus had vegetable soup and pancake with chocolate sauce.

We had an amazing time. The hotel was perfect and the staff second to none, they could not be anymore helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The walk into the harbour is well worth a visit, especially at night. Although you didn't have to go far for a superb meal, in the fact we found the meals in the hotel far nicer than those we had in other restaurants.

A wonderful stay at this lovely by-the sea hotel !

We spent a wonderful relaxing weekend at the lovely \"Maritimo\" Hotel in Makarska, Croatia, in mid of October–the hotel is perfectly located, right on the beach and away from the road- the location on the beach is just divine and made for a relaxing stay (swimming & sunbathing) – additionally, we've rarely seen a hotel where the staff were more pleasant, helpful and keen to do everything to make you enjoy your stay – apart from a perfect location, the standard of the hotel is very high (cleanliness,stylishness,maintenance, etc.) – the cozy hotel restaurant offers surprisingly delicious food at fair prices – outdoor dining facing the sea and the candlelight–filled atmosphere was superb and so romantic – we enjoyed everything this hotel offers – will be back for more!!!

the maritimo is a small but very friendly hotel rooms are very clean and comfy bed with a great shower the hotel is 25 meters from the beach which is a bit rocky but clean.the breakfast is good and plentiful and the restaurant is very good we ate there 3 times in our 5 day stay the staff were very polite and helpful davor the waiter and svetlana at reception were brilliant will definately be back.

We stayed at the Maritimo for 10 nights in June and found it excellent value, very nice comfortable rooms in a quiet setting a short walk from the main town, and about 20 metres walk away from an excellent beach. The staff were very helpful, particularly when planning our trips and were always pleased to assist. Plenty of restaurants, cafes etc within easy walking distance, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Superb Hotel and well positioned in the town.

This is the place to stay in Markarska. Very friendly staff, most helpful, very welcoming. Great breakfast. We had booked for 2 days and then, because we enjoyed it so much, changed our itinerary and went back for another 2 days.

A perfect stay

This is a family owned hotel and it keeps a very good standard. Breakfast was medium choices, but enough. I had no other meals there. Walking distance to the Makarska City center, along the beach. The hotel is located on a small pebbled beach, a part of the long beach stretch towards town center with several good restaurants and bars and other hotels as well.The hotel restaurant terrace is virtually on the beach. Absolutely best location when you want the nearness of Makarska and to stay beach side.Downside was some internet problems, the balcony of the room was great in the evenings. I will definately stay there on my next visit in Makarska. Easy access to the ferry going over to Brac from Makarsak center, 40-50 minutes plus another 40 minutes drive to Bol and the famous Zlatni Rat beach.

We have been to Hotel Maritimo twice now and have always enjoyed our stay there. The location is perfect - a short walk to the main harbour, town and market square and only a stones throw from the beach and sea. The staff are always extremely helpful and polite and take interest in how your day has been etc.

The hotel itself is clean and very well maintained with a nice breakfast buffet served in the mornings and good menu choice throughout the day.

We would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering it and cannot wait to return.

Fantastiskt trevligt hotell med bästa läget!

Ett litet hotell med bästa läget, otrolig service och frukost som överträffade det mesta. Fräscha rum och städningen var väldigt noggrann. Vi valde ett rum med havsutsikt och utsikten var väldigt fin. Enda minuset var att balkongen var lite i minsta laget. Men det är nog enda vi har att klaga på.

Très propre état niquel accueil excellent un seul regret malgré une réservation très tôt avons eu chambre petite et sans vue , vue sur l'accès au garage qui de plus est payant non précisé sur le site lors de la réservation.

Ingen havsutsikt

Vi lärde oss att ”utsikt mot havet” inte alltid är samma sak som ”havsutsikt”. Betalade extra för ett rum med balkong mot havet men utsikten skymdes av stora träd så man såg ingenting av havet. Obekväma sängar och kuddar men väldigt trevlig personal och god frukost.

Otippat positiv servicenivå!

Serviceinriktad och vänlig personal som direkt tog sig an oss från ankomst till avfärd. Hotellet ligger perfekt och är väldigt fräscht. Rummen är rena, nyrenoverade och påkostade. Garage för bil finns i källaren med hiss upp till receptionen.

Great stay with amazing service!

The service is 100% flawless, especially in the reception with sincere kindness. The room is very nice, clean and modern. The only downside is that we actually looked for a hotel with sun beds because we know how expensive they are and when we got to the hotel we realized that there was a fee of 60 kuna/bed and you also had to reserve sun beds to get them. The surroundings are great with lots of restaurants with good pricing.

Krótko - bez uwag. Lokalizacja znakomita, obsługa bez zastrzeżeń. Pokój z widokiem na morze, co prawda przesłoniętym gęstymi drzewami ale z widokiem. Śniadanie bardzo dobre (jedna noc, więc nie da się ocenić czy oferta jest powtarzalna, czy zmienna).

Very friendly and helpful staff, hotel located just by the beach. Really heavy portions for breakfast and dinner(half board three courses) you won't get away hungry.
Some noise from the kitchen tho we had a room just above.
Crowded beaches, sun beds and umbrellas can be rented on the beach just outside the hotel.

Enttäuschender Aufenthalt

Begeistert vom letztjährigen Aufenthalt, buchten wir auch dieses Jahr für einen zehntägigen Aufenthalt im Maritimo. Leider wird das unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein.
Zimmer: Von der Junior Suite mit Bergblick raten wir freundlichst ab. Neben der Tatsache, dass das Fenster im Schlafzimmer in Richtung Berg zeigt, ertönt ein unerträglicher Lärm abends bei geöffnetem Fenster, da dort direkt die Ein- und Ausfahrt der Tiefgarage ist und zudem die Köche dort laut arbeiten. Von Rollwagen mit Geschirr, über schreienden Kindern, bis hin zu lauten Motorrollern, wir haben alles gehört. Und wenn es mal ruhig war, dann war da ja immer noch das Bad vom Nachbarzimmer welches direkt ans Schlafzimmer grenzte, somit konnten wir die Toilettenspülung, Darmfunktion und Duschgänge des Nachbarn bestens hören. WLAN Signal zudem unterirdisch.
Essen: Der ungenießbare Kaffee aus dem Vollautomaten ist noch das kleinste Übel gewesen. Das Essen führte bei uns zu Bauchschmerzen, Übelkeit, Erbrechen und Durchfällen. Sowas haben wir wirklich noch nie erlebt. Vom Essen selbst wirkte ebenfalls vieles nicht selbst gemacht (Mousse au Chocolat, Panna cotta, Saucen und Dipps). Auffällig war außerdem, dass unter anderem Speisen vom Frühstücksbuffet abends wiederverwendet wurden. So z.B. wurde der Kuchen vom Frühstück, welcher ungekühlt dort stand, abends als Kuchen des Tages serviert.
Personal/Kellner: Liebloses Hinklatschen von Brot oder kommentarloses Abräumen von vollen Tellern standen an der Tagesordnung.

Service auf höchstem Niveau

Perfekter Service und netter Empfang.

Obwohl wir es versäumt hatten einen Parkplatz zu reservieren und das Hotel ausgebucht war, würde alles mögliche getan um uns einen Parkplatz anzubieten.

Am Ende hat die Köchin Ihren Mann gebeten Ihr Auto abzuholen und wir konnten in der Tiefgarage parken.
So etwas erlebt man heutzutage nicht oft.

Hotell vid strand och beachpromenaden

Toppenhotell. Rent o fräscht och jättetrevlig samt hjälpsam personal. På minussidan ligger torftig frukost med spamskinka och billiga youghurt samt bara vitt bröd. Sen var hotellets maträtter gjord på alla frysta färdiga produkter som finns på listan. Pizzan hade så salt ost samt bröd att det var omöjligt att äta till slut. Såg fler klaga på den. Sen flög vi hem sent och fick inte låna dusch/omklädning efter utcheckning utan hänvisades till strandduschen och fick låna handduk gratis. Det tar ner betyget ganska mycket då frugan var oimponerad av att behöva tvätta källaren och balkongen offentligt sas.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang. Saubere und komfortable Zimmer. Sehr gutes Restaurant mit schöner Terrasse und Blich auf das Meer. Dieses Hotel verdient mehr als 3 Sterne, hat aber keinen Pool. Doch wer braucht das schön wenn der Strand direkt vor dem Hotel liegt.
