A 10 min. walk from Zocalo and Cathedral. Busy street and big city bustling. Small rooms compared to US standards.
They have a water filter by the elevators so you could fill up your bottle cooler.
They have an open terrace on the 2nd floor but it is so noisy- there's even a street vendor shouting through a megaphone - that it is impossible to relax and enjoy the space.

The hotel was comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was good—there wasn’t a lot of variety, but it was still enjoyable. One downside was the lack of privacy in the bathroom and shower since they are only separated by dark glass, so you can hear everything. The room also didn’t have a microwave or a small refrigerator, which would have been convenient. The location felt safe, but the area around the hotel has many street vendors and is not very attractive.

Excellent staff who are willing to assist and enjoyed their gym with new equipment.


Negatives;
Very limited counter space to store belongings.
Tiny trash cans that are practically useless.
Noisy area with motorists honking their horns starting at 6am and loud motorcycles zooming by during sleep hours.
Don’t get me started with the group that hangs out near the water fountains down the street. Drum beating until 11:00-11:30pm 3-4x a week.

Easy check in and out. Location is superb. So close to public transportation, walking distance to Historico Central Plaza. Pretty safe location too. Breakfast buffet is ok. Overall I will stay here again when I visit Mexico next time. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

I had one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve ever encountered. When the air conditioner in my room malfunctioned and no longer produced cold air (error code U9-01, the staff refused to let me switch rooms and even accused me of moving the air conditioner—which was absurd. After a long back-and-forth, I finally managed to negotiate a smaller room, only to find that the air conditioner in that one was also malfunctioning with the exact same error Code U9-01.

The temperature in my room was 24°C / 75°F, far too warm to sleep comfortably. It wasn’t until I threatened to check out that they finally offered me a room with a working AC.

Poor customer service, no accountability, and a lack of basic hospitality. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone expecting comfort or professionalism.

My room was clean, quiet and sunny. There was a work desk, with table light and above the desk were electrical outlets and a USB C outlet that provides fast charging for a smartphone. The in-room safe was big enough to store a 16-inch laptop, so my 13-in one fit with plenty of space still. The location was perfect for me as the hotel is very near 2 metro lines and the MetroBus 4(Sur) bus stop. Staying here was a great way for me to explore the Centro Histórico from Alameda (west) to Santísima Trinidad (east), Republica de Venezuela (north) to Izazaga (south). I felt safe walking about in the daytime. This Novotel is a very good 4-star property.

I had a fantastic experience during my stay at the Novotel México City Centro Histórico. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and well cared for. Special thanks to Nayla, Matiela, and Eric, who consistently provided warm, attentive service and made me feel truly seen as a guest.

Lesly Aguado at the reception desk was especially outstanding. She went out of her way to assist with my tour arrangements and even guided me on how to navigate the city when I wanted to explore on my own. Her kindness and dedication made a big difference in my experience.
The food at the Delia Bistro was tasty, though I found the options a bit limited. The breakfast buffet is generous and fresh, but note that it’s not included in the room rate unless you specifically request it when booking.
Overall, everyone I encountered at the hotel seemed genuinely committed to ensuring guests feel comfortable and welcomed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mexico City and hope to return again soon.

Super friendly and professional staff. Curtains didn't close 100% of the way allowing too much light into the room. Since one comes to a hotel to sleep, that was a problem. When I unplugged my phone the ENTIRE outlet box and the wires came out of the wall. Very dark room. Needs more lights if one wants.

Very busy traffic area, noise can be an issue in some rooms facing the road. Rooms at the back are much quieter and very comfortable. Showers are amazing as is the breakfast buffet.

Very new and comfortable hotel.

Great location and would stay there again. Would suggest this hotel to others. Less than 2 blocks from the Pino Suarez Metro (subway) station. Less than a mile (walkable) to the Zocalo or one metro stop away. Pino Suarez Metro station has many food vendors and merchandise for sale. Has restaurant and bar on site. Must go to the Zocalo.

Great shower! 5 star shower!

Only problem (minimal) was getting a second card for elevator and room entry. I guess they wanted us to download an app to the cell phone for the elevator and room access. We had two male adults on the trip and needed two cards.

I would recommend this hotel. Great metro subway access. Very safe with both police and private security at the hotel and surrounding areas.

I went on a solo trip and decided to stay at this hotel. I felt so safe here! There was always security at the front. One of them always made sure to guide me to my Ubers. Novotel wasn’t that far from main attractions. I used uber, DiDi and walked as a form of transportation and did not have any issues. The hotel was very simple but just what I needed since I spent majority of my time out in the city anyway. The only complaint I har was just the lighting in the bathroom. It was hard to see when doing makeup because the lighting was so low but other than that it was a useful hotel for its purpose.
