The mattress I had and pillow, were very good. the individual light over my bed didn't work. Breakfast started at 8 except when it didn't start until 8:30. the staff at the front desk were excellent. You can ask for a lock for the locker assigned to your bed. Breakfast consisted of oatmeal, toast, fruit, juice, coffee. They give you an extra top sheet that you can use as a screen between beds. each bed has its own electrical outlet. I've stayed here 2x, with college students and with people in their 70s and will stay again.

My advice: Choose a different location.

They advertise wifi but it doesn't work in the rooms which is not advertised. The breakfast is bread and a piece of fruit if you stay here you will need to purchase additional food. The beds are terribly uncomfortable and there's no air conditioning. If you leave the window open for air the mosquitoes will get you. The door slams shut and there's no way to prevent it. Everytime someone goes in or out the room wakes up. They advertise they have an airport shuttle and they don't. They will offer to call a car for 400 pesos. You can get an Uber for 100. All of this could have been dealt with one issue at a time but the staff doesn't seem to know what customer service is. The only good thing about this hostel is the location.

Noisy. For a week they didn't clean the room. There was not any privacy between the beds. No curtains, no proper baggage places. No lift for 3rd floor. The staff was disorganized. They gave our key to someone else... I will never use this hostel again. For a few dollars more our friend stayed in a proper hotel two blocks from this hostel. Stay away from this place.

beautiful outdoor courtyard, stylish rooms, and friendly staff. Lighting was terrible everywhere: rooms, bathrooms, common spaces and I found myself having to use my phone just to get around. Complimentary breakfast is a piece of white bread, coffee & piece of fruit --nice touch, but i would recommend going out somewhere for a real breakfast. Overall good stay, but I would not recommend to someone seeking comfort.

Great location, beautiful surroundings

Overall, we give it a 4 out of 5. A good stay but areas for improvement. First, the area is absolutely fantastic. It’s part of the Downtown Mexico complex which is beautiful. We had cocktails at the roof which was proper mixology and a fancy dinner at Azul which the food was to die for! Location for historic downtown is perfect, nightlife is better in other areas but you’re right by Zocalo and shopping areas. The shower is clean and big with changing space. Areas for improvement is you need two of your own locks to lock up your stuff. One for your main locker, which isn’t nailed down to anything and can be moved, and a second for a small lockbox that you can charge your phone or leave smaller valuables. I didn’t like how there isn’t individual lights in each bed, and there isn’t a charging station near your own bed (only the little locker that I mentioned). They provide wool blankets, which I’m not a fan cause wool is itchy. The complex is beautiful, but the dorm room can be improved logistically. Also it’s a bit unorganized for assigning beds, they give you a room and a key that’s assigned to a bed but then you just pick an available bed when you walk in the room. This made it confusing and I was concerned if someone would claim my bed or id claim a used bed. We changed rooms when we couldn’t find a clean bed for a room assigned. I’d recommend for a quick trip, but I did expect more for the price.

A nice, clean hostel. The check in for the hostel was a little hard to find and you have to walk through a restaurant,then then at the back of the hostel is the reception desk. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. There was free continental breakfast too which was a bonus. The only issue is that everything outside, like people talking in the courtyard, doors closing, etc., is heard in the rooms, which is an issue if you value sleep.

1 Block away from Zocalo. Very convenient for getting to know the historic center. The hostel is very well maintained and the staff is friendly. Lots of space in the rooms. The only downside is the lockers are tiny, just big enough for a passport and some personal belongings.

This hostel is close to the Zócalo in the center of the city. Policemen were everywhere and I felt very safe. Stayed in a private room, shared bathrooms that were very clean. The hostel is in a building that has a restaurant and several shops including a MAC store. Beds were hard but that's to be expected. Clean sheets and towels, beautiful facility.

Location is perfect, right on the center of the city, two blocks from the Cathedral. Walking in you feel like walking into a little plaza, high end shops, a hotel and two restaurants. Service was great but they have to improve on the breakfast. Two toast and a fruit. Relaxing Movie/tv room for everyone on the first floor.

Disappointing - wouldnt recommend

I stayed at the hostel. The staff was kind of rude. They were never at the bar or at the front desk. The bar didn't even have cold corona or cold water bottles. Loud music keeps you up at night and the showers being outside of the room didn't help. Finally, their website says breakfast is included but what the gave me was more like two pieces of toast, jelly, and a guava fruit. Eggs and other items come with an additional cost. I think I am done staying at hostels for good!

A wonderful place to stay in Mexico

Really enjoy to stay in Downtown Beds in the past five days. It is very convenient to go around. The staff are very friendly. They offered a lot of help to the guests like me who first come to Mexico City and with language limitation (zero Spanish) .

Right in the city centre, this hostel is one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Great amenities, pool, spa, bar, wifi, breakfast and cinema tv! Solid build, everything is made with bricks and concrete! Even the bed frames and sinks in rooftop bar. Long hot showers are a welcome surprise at a hostel. Only one time were they cold.
Cons: wifi is pretty sketchy in rooms depending where you are. Breakfast is very basic and the spa could do with being a few degrees warmer.

The design of this hostel was really well planned out. The top bunks were designed for couples, which was perfect since I was traveling with my girlfriend. They even provided towels, which most hostels don't provide. They had rain shower heads with steaming hot water; they even provided shampoo and body wash. We even had access to the rooftop terrace and pool. We are definitely going to be back here again.

The day I arrived there was life music and after that pub people, and it was very hard to sleep. To go to the bathroom I was seen by everybody in the pub donwstairs...
Bad wifi connection.

But... really great helping personal. Thanks. Hope expedia finally paid for my staying.

I was disappointed about poor breakfast. I went to dining room at 8:00. There were few bread, juice and fruit. On the last day of my stay, there was nothing. I asked a hostel staff to serve. They just gave me a pack of bread. It was very rude manner.

This is a good hostel in the center historical Mexico city. It is only 5 minutes to the national square. The room is good, nice and clean,The bathroom and shower room are public. They have TV room and they have WiFi. I recommend to browser in the TV room because the signal in the room is a little bit weaker than the TV room. But remember to bring some liquid to avoid mosquito, it will help you to spend every comfort night without mosquito sound. The food price in the hostel is a little bit higher than eat outside in the small restaurant. But their dinning service and front desk service is perfect. The front desk people can speak English. The hostel is about 10-15 to the nearest subway station (the blue line). They have 4 or 8 people room. I live in the 4 people room. They have 4 locker in the room for people to lock expensive staff like passport, money, cellphone. You should bring your own lock with key. I think it is the best service. They have breakfast from about 4:30 to near 9:30. White bread, different juice, jam, coffee. Simple and good breakfast for you to gain energy to start a new day. There are tons of bars near or in the hostel. They have place to wash the cloth although I bring enough clothes, but I really see it. You should love this hostel. It is cheap, I spend 95 dollar for 5 nights, and it is close to every place you want to go. By the way, the area is very safe, at each street intersection, there are at least 2 police officer there.

Noisy staff

The morning and afternoon staff was wonderful but poor service in the evenings. I stayed for 3 nights and there was very few guests but every night the staff was very loud up to 2 or 3 AM talking. Also, one night the TV was blasting until 2 AM for the staff's entertainment and another night a staff member was on his phone for over an hour from 2-3 in the morning right outside my room. They also removed the visa form from my passport at check-in which can result in a lot of hassle and a large fine at the border!

Can really recommend. We even got a doublebed bunk bed! Great location, safe available just bring your own lock. Showers clean. A bargin.. Next time we will che k out the downtown hotel which I am sure is amazing. The courtyard is nice and makes a good party!

スタッフは皆親切で感じがよく、部屋は広々としていて快適でキレイです。トイレ、シャワールームも毎朝清掃してくれています。朝ごはんはパン、お粥、フルーツをスタッフの方が盛ってくれて飲み物はセルフサービスで水、ジュース、コーヒーがあります。ただ正直パンもお粥も日本人好みの味ではないと思います。そして問題はWiFi…角部屋だったからだとは思いますが部屋から1本出ると繋がるのですが部屋では繋がりませんでした。他に移動できら部屋もないとのことで諦めました。

Si: El lugar es muy lindo, bien ubicado y con un ambiente formidalbe, Los alimentos son muy buenos y el precio es económico. El detalle del pan de muerto para el desayuno fue top. Las bebidas del bar igual de bien.
No: El ruido de la bomba se escuchaba bastante fuerte en nuestra habitación. Las regaderas necesitan todas un banquito para las cosas.

空港からメキシコシティまでスーツケースを持ってメトロで向かう予定だったため、ソカロ駅に近い場所に泊まることにした。駅からすぐの立地で、朝食付きなのにお手頃価格で満足した。ベッドは清潔で柔らかく、接客も丁寧で素晴らしかった。シャワーもすぐに温かいお湯が出たため、ストレスを溜めることなく泊まることができた。特に悪いところはなかったように思う。

Hola, nuevamente recomendándoles que fumiguen bien para no tener el problema de chiche, por lo demás, el hotel es muy seguro y cómodo. Por ahí salió que tiene alberca, pero está pertenece al hotel boutique del que es parte el hostel y no puedes usarla, para que no se confíen.

En sus especificaciones NO dice que podrían dormir otras personas extrañas en nuestra misma habitación (cómo nos pasó). Además tampoco dice que los baños están afuera de la habitación y que son compartidos. Es una buena oferta pero parece que lucran con el desconocimiento de la gente. Es una buena ubicación.

The location of this hostel is very good, the room is tidy and clean and staff are really helpful! Overall it’s a very great hostel for this price, just one thing, the lights in the bathroom and toilet area is not enough, sometimes i feel kind of spooky when taking shower in very dark lighting, would be perfect if they can make bathroom area brighter!

El personal es muy atento y el mismo edificio tiene distintos lugares donde puedes comprar, comer o disfrutar de productos 100% mexicanos. Es mi segunda vez que me hospedo aquí y así seguirá siendk cada vez que venga a CDMX.

주변환경은 아주좋았어요! 가깝고 사람들이 많이다니고 지하철도 멀지 않고 동선은 괜찮은편인것같아요. 화장실과 샤워실이 좀 불편했어요. 수압도 낮고 화장실도 그렇게 더럽진 않았지만 그리 깨끗하지는 않았어요.제생각엔 건물이 좀 낡아서 그런기분 ㅎㅎ

Jeg tilbrakte 5 netter på Downtown Beds på 8 mannsrom og hadde en fin opplevelse. Vi var aldri flere enn 4 på rommet, kanskje pga. lavsesong. Hostellet er en del av et større kompleks med et fint hotell, en nydelig restaurant og noen butikker.

+ meget sentralt i Centro histórico
+ rent og pent, virker veldig nyrenovert
+ avlukkede dusjer og håndkle inkludert
+ rolig stemning
+ køyesengene var veldig stabile og knirket ikke
+ veldig godt hjelp av daglig leder, Paulina

- ekstremt varmt på rommet pga ingen aircon og få vinduer som kunne åpnes (A-7) = dårlig søvn
- røykeområdet/gårdsrommet med hengekøyer kunne vært hyggeligere med litt mer omtanke og planter
- bortsett fra daglig leder av hostellet virket resepsjonistene mer opptatt av hotellet (resepsjonen er delt av med en gardin) og jeg måtte ofte vente lenge for at de skulle se at jeg var der
- for å kunne vaske klær måtte man ha egen såpe, noe en backpacker sjelden har. Ville heller betalt litt mer og hatt det inkludert, for å slippe å kjøpe en helt ny såpe for en gangs bruk
- helt OK frokost, kunne hatt mer valgmuligheter
- skulle ønske vi kunne få bruke takterrassen, for den er nydelig

Good hostel, our room was big and clean, beds very comfortable, but I suffered from lack of good common part, kind of living room. Weak internet in our room, we had to surf in the corridor.

Ubicación y precio

Llegué a las 3am directo desde el aeropuerto, me recibieron amables, la habitación es amplia y me gustó que no son literas de las que se mueven todas, son fijas y la decoración de todo el lugar esta cool. El colchón y almohada no son de más cómodos para porque están forrados por higiene; baños y regaderas muy limpios. El desayuno tiene opción a extenderse por menú más amplio y estaba muy bueno y súper barato. Me gustó la ubicación, está pegado a una plazoleta y a una cuadra del zócalo, me sentí segura y volvería pues a pesar de que está básico y económico,
me agradó mucho.

Es de los pocos hostales en el mundo que ofrece un buen paquete por el precio, buen ubicación, buen servicio, excelente espacio, buen ambiente, respetuoso y seguro.

Una estadía un poco incómoda

El lugar me gusta mucho y la ubicación también. Sin embargo al personal lo sentí pesado y con cero disposición de ayudarme o resolver dudas. La habitación era linda, pero me tocó la mala suerte de dormir en la cama superior y la escalera para acceder a la cama era muy poco práctica, y en la noche era muy difícil subirse sin luz. Lo recomiendo para pasar 1 o 2 noches, pero de lo contrario pienso que será muy incómodo.

good interior but -

Interior is great but lighting is generally dark (Lack of lighting)
and especially at the middle of the night (When most guests fall an sleep
the staff made a noise with their chat outside

Resultingly,
Interior was great, reception staff was not helpful and not that kind,
Each function of facility was insufficient.

As it opened newly, it seems to be improved more and more !
