On arrival the man at the desk seemed to be in a hurry or distracted, just gave us the paper to sign and gave us our room key told us where our room was.
Could do with a mirror on the wall underneath tge aircon unit in room 101 and maybe an information folder with hotel info restaurant, gym etc amd things to do in the area.
Maybe a small coffee table would be good as there was nowhere to put your drink other than the dining table or desk.
Garden area could do with a tidy up, leaves and sizable stones outside the door.

I honestly don’t have anything positive to say about our stay. After the first night, we wanted to leave, but we were told we couldn’t get a refund due to Expedia’s policies. As a result, we were unfortunately stuck there for two nights. This experience has made me seriously reconsider booking through Expedia again — while you might save upfront, you may pay for it later.
There were broken washing machines in the so-called parking area, and the “restaurant” was extremely disappointing. I genuinely wouldn’t eat there, even if I were paid to do so.
The property has potential, but at the moment it feels like a complete rip-off. Our room had a strong, unpleasant smell — it seemed like someone had smoked in it. We definitely did not have a harbour view from our balcony. The couch had a burn hole, there was no coffee table, and the furniture was old and worn. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.
Overall, this was a very poor experience. We will not be returning.

Everything is great, the staff are always so helpful to my husband and I. We have had bad health over the past ten months so to get the extra assistance when we really need it is so appreciated by us. Little things like carrying in an armchair that assists me in sitting which after having a knee replacement helps me a lot. We appreciate the good service.

The magnificent and spectacular view of the harbor, bay, and bridge made up for any deficiencies with the property. Check in was smooth but staff was short and not overtly friendly. Room was clean. While there is a small combined washer/dryer unit, it cannot realistically be utilized as it takes ~6 hours to complete the process, is extremely loud, and is right at the entrance to the bathroom from the main bedroom, making it impossible to sleep with the machine on. However the view made up for this inconvenience

Arrived from Canada and had booked a 1 Bedroom Seaview Suite at Ocean Breeze. They stuck us in the basement of the hotel with only a view of an 8 foot hedge and the sky. It was awful. Not what we expected after booking a sea view suite, thinking we’d see the Bay Area with sailboats on the water, as seen in photos from the hotel.

We had a great stay at Ocean Breeze Hotel for three nights. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and quick. The location is ideal for us, offering beautiful views of the CBD and Harbour Bridge. Public transport options, including buses and ferries, are easily accessible for getting to the city or exploring the North Shore, and there are plenty of parking spaces available!
The property could benefit from some maintenance, especially the exterior. The curtain in our living room couldn’t fully close, which was a bit annoying.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was quite spacious, and the area was peaceful and quiet. We would definitely come back and stay here again in the future.

The view from the room/balcony were fantastic and the in room facilities were excellent for an extended stay.
Although there are no dining out options within walking distance it is only 5 minutes walk to the Bayswater ferry terminal with regular 10 minute ferry trips to the CBD where lots of drinking and dining options.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it had a weird set up with the only bathroom being off the main bedroom - meaning everyone had to go through the main bedroom if they needed to use the facilities. Other than that, the room was perfect and the staff were amazing. We were very happy. The people in the neighbouring rooms were either very noisy or the walls are quite thin not sure which, but this was NOT the hotel’s fault, only mentioning in case you are a light sleeper - you may need to bring some earplugs.

The front of the building looks quite exclusive with a 'grand' entrance and check in area. The room we had was like an apartment, came with a little kitchen, living area, balcony with harbour/waterview, big bathroom with washing machine! The back of the building and it's surroundings looks less maintained, it appears to be that there has been a slip or something happened to the steep bank which made me wonder how safe the parking area and the back of the building were.

This hotel promises more than it provides. It is in a lovely location, but the interior is lacking. It is probably trying to upgrade, but hasn;t yet made it, with sad decor in the rooms. The programmes on the washing machine in our bathroom did not work properly and it took hours to tumble dry any clothes. It was useful to have the dishwasher in the kitchen, however. The sofa was uncomfortable and there were very few TV channels available.Our toilet didn't flush properly and when we reported it at reception, nothing was done, possibly due to languge difficulties.

Room was clean and comfortable. Outside of property and certain areas inside were neglected for some reason. Despite this we enjoyed our stay and found it perfect for one night. Plenty of food outlets and shops within a 10 min drive, there is no restaurant in the hotel.

Hotel did not feel welcoming, some balconies looked very untidy and parking limited. Nobody on reception to greet us and check in experience underwhelming. No on-site dining available, but thanks to Uber we got fed. View from our ground floor window was shocking, including rubbish and beer cans on the ground. Noisy music until very late. Tried to contact reception but no reply and later discovered it was unmanned during the night. Complained to Hotels.com at 10.30 pm who also were unable to contact hotel to resolve the noise issue.
This hotel felt like a shelter for the local homeless and is not suitable for travelling hotel guests.
Couldn’t wait to leave at daylight and will never return. Real shame because 7 years ago when we last stayed it was lovely. Feel like we have wasted our money and would rather have slept in the car.

Property is in a lovely situation right on the water and close to ferry terminal. Nice and quiet. The unit was in a pretty good condition but there were a couple of maintenance things that do need attending to. There was never anyone on reception - we had to phone them so no personal communication except when we checked in and then he was not very helpful at all. The outside needs a good spruce up, especially garden areas.

The exterior appearance of property is very disappointing; shabby gardens, dirty paintwork, rubbish & debris around paths & entrance. Once inside reception is quite dark. The room I had was spacious and clean but a few stains on the upholstery could have been cleaned off. Good WiFi and TV/Sky was great. Quiet, restful evening and comfortable bed. Lovely view in the morning and walk down to the marina was enjoyable. No shops to get breakfast, coffee or snacks nearby.

Our room was a seaview suite and we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a large bedroom with a separate lounge/kitchen area.
The bathroom was very nice and clean with a washing machine in situ behind a cupboard.
The room has a microwave, cooking hob, cutlery, crockery and pots and pans.
There is a veranda off the lounge with access from the separate bedroom also where you can look over the city and harbour bridge.
It also has a generous dridge with a separate freezer, it even has a dishwasher in the kitchen with powder supplied.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.

Washer and dryer was really a washer/dryer combo and the dryer did not work. We had to had a staff person dry our clothes for us (which they did, happily), but that wasn't really what we paid for. We also had an outbreak of ants. We didn't leave anything on the counters so we're not entirely sure what they were scouting for, but it was a little frustrating to be cleaning up every day. They'd apparently been having issues with ants in that particular room in the past. The sofa sleeper was broken and since the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the two of us couldn't sleep in it together, so hubby had to sleep on lumpy sofa, just so we could try for a full night's sleep. Overall, rundown property, but the staff were wonderful.

As our two bedroom Apartment commanded a spectacular few of the Harbour - we were blown away! As evening fell & the Auckland Harbour Bridge lit up, we were able to watch the cars as they drove over the bridge. Because I am having treatment nearby we have already rebooked for 3 weeks time. Excellent value & so quiet. There was limited parking due to a slip at the back but additional parking was available if needed on the grass. Highly recommended!

Staff great, loved we could open sliding doors to let breeze in and nice sea views. Our apartment was spacious, bedroom a bit cramped. Cupboard smelly so didn’t hang clothes in there. Place is very tired. Not close to shops etc. This place has a lot of potential, we loved it because it was quiet, the views and it was relaxing. Just needs some maintenance and a really good clean and it would be amazing.

Bayswater is quiet but the hotel is only a five minute walk to the ferry and a ten minute ride into the centre of Auckland. There is no restaurant open on site currently and no restaurants or shops nearby, so plan to shop and eat in central Auckland or in your room.
